so you may be wondering why the screen is black right now it's not a fault of your device it's just that I can't open the game now this is affecting you as well my advice right now is don't wait I think this is going to take a very very long time for them to fix so this has been happening over the last 48 hours is and it's still going possible disruption or glitch yeah take a breather it's going to be a while now this outage report graph only covers the last 24 hours this has been happening for about 48 hours now and it's not the most accurate thing and I'll explain what's happened here is the moang stateus Twitter page it's really only relevant from this tweet you may experience intermittent failures or slowdowns connecting to Realms where actively working to resolve this immediately after the release of 1.21.20 this is for Bedrock Edition but issues have seeped into the Minecraft launcher and as a byproduct Java Edition and the marketplace but like so following the release of 1.21.20 Realms just shut down completely everything sort of broke at the hands of moang and safe to say the update caused pretty much all of it so you can see here I'm going to be careful with some of these cuz I know a lot of people are really mad this is kind of the screen to expect we could not connect to Realms right now we'll try again soon a lot of the same stuff all over the place so this was released on August 14th so this was a while back following this you can try to open Minecraft so go to the launcher play Minecraft in fact last night this wasn't even possible couldn't even open the game but okay let's try to join a realm [Music] cannot join connectivity issues all over the place okay that was 24 hours ago I went to bed thinking okay they're going to fix this right surely as a pretty valuable paid service to Consumers these downtimes and glitches don't normally last more than 24 hours right well this was around about this hour so I uploaded my video around 2:00 a.m. 3:00 a.m. it's around here so you can see the outages were sort of diminishing that could also be because it's during night hours and everyone's kind of asleep it sort of crept up once again so 8:00 a.m. 9:00 a.m. a lot of outages were being reported so what happened next a client side hot fix should solve it Minecraft 1.21.20 Bedrock posted August 14 2024 fixes improved reliability of connecting to Realms the realm service is up and running there are still some latency issues this was 17 hours ago this was kind of when I was about to start streaming so it was all starting to look good so I went to bed thinking good stuff it's being resolved now and then I'll wake up to this We are continuing to work on the reli ility of the realm service we are aware that since our last update the service has degraded 8 hours later we are still hard at work to improve the reliability of the realm service this is a paid service Realms here this button wasn't even showing actually when I updated it where's the hope that it will stabilize this was exactly what was showing up much sadness I think just coupled with what happened yesterday with the major impact on Bedrock development servers timing is awful right now try to make a video about the latest snapshot which didn't arrive because I'm assuming this has all been affecting it and there's nothing any anyone can do about it subscribe I'll keep you all post
