Captain for Michigan today and you actually had a chance to speak with the team yesterday what what' you tell them well having absolutely zero zero experience playing football in my life uh I don't know if anything registered with them but I I think it's just basically sharing a message about when you're on top you know when you're winning and you're trying to repeat do it again I mean sustainability over time is very very challenging and uh you know they're H to do that this year I just say you were at the national championship game last year what was it like to have them win it but on top of that from your own experience though there's got to be some commonalities between baseball football their success leadership all those things you're able to impart on them uh well look I don't don't let's let see how this game goes before you give me any credit man you know what I'm saying so Charles spoke to him too so don't just put it all don't just put it all on me man but I I tell you I've been a Michigan fan i i i attended school here a long time ago obviously had started my career with the Yankees but uh I'm a Michigan man at heart and I love to come back here as much as I can and uh enjoy to be around guys like this I I just wanted no Little League football or nothing like no flag QB man I and I played one year when I was about 6 years old man I didn't want to tackle anyone you I was scared to death when I graduated high school I was 63 150 lb so no I I want to know part of f I'm with you you know we actually checked with the admissions office you mentioned that you enrolled here they told us you are actually the oldest student right now enrolled at the University still technically I think that's kind of rude for you to bring that up talking about the age man I I I look you seen don't shoot the messenger yeah you saw the movie back to school with Ry Dangerfield that's going to be me was one of my kids I'm still a freshman hey so you you you're now uh doing the analyst role man how's that been for you it's been fun man you know it keeps you involved with the game I love baseball I mean no disrespect I think baseball is the greatest sport in the world because I obviously played you guys will say football but it keeps me around the game gives me an opportunity to continue to be a fan and you still get a chance to inart I don't want to say wisdom but just some of the lessons you learned as a player on to the next Generation Now Michigan is a huge Underdog today seven points as defending national champions here in the big house what you think about sit down in front of old black and white television and watch Charles play man and I was a big a big fan of his you supposed to catch I'm trying to say yeah I got the black and white I got it with and white with I'm sitting I got a lot of things going through my mind and then I heard and then I heard the I heard the black and white and I'm like what what what are you talking about I I tell I tell you what man it's just it's just a fun atmosphere I I you know I know there's a lot of great College venues around the country but it doesn't get any better than Michigan man 115,000 I don't know how many people they get here now the electricity coming off a championship season I mean this is what it's all about what um I mean you watch the game you pay attention to the game you've seen Texas play Michigan last week what's your prediction today well Michigan's got to look man they got got to come big on offense you know they got to play a little bit better than they did last last week uh they have a great defense I think in order for them to win it's got to be lows scoring I'm going 217 Michigan I like it I like it nothing like look at the smile on your face when he hear that song playing
