a senior teacher at Knox grammar school in Sydney has been charged with an alleged child grooming offense the teacher 27-year-old William gulson was arrested in waranga on Friday following an investigation into claims that he groomed a child online he was taken to Hornsby police station and charged with one count of procuring or grooming a child under 16 for unlawful sexual activity gulson was denied bail and was scheduled to appear in pamada local court on Saturday afternoon in a letter to parents Scott James the Headmaster of Knox grammar stated that when the allegations were reported the teacher was immediately removed from the school and his employment was terminated James emphasized that the alleged incident occurred outside of school hours and did not involve any School Technology he reassured parents that knox's grammar is a child's safe environment and that the school took immediate precautionary measures while cooperating with the police James also mentioned that the school would continue to provide timely and transparent up dates on the situation as long as it does not interfere with police investigations or Court proceedings according to his LinkedIn profile gulson was an English and Drama teacher at Knox grammar and served as a mentor for seventh grade students he was also an alumnus of the school Knox grammar is a private institution located on Sydney's Northshore
