congrats on the win uh to both of you voo just it seemed like they they had a lot of numbers behind the ball um doing what they could to kind of limit you guys going over the top and their vertical play that goal a lot of interplay in the buildup that led to that moment just how proud of you your team of finding that way to win and find and get that moment created in the middle of a team doing what they can to neutralize what you do best yes uh I thought it was a great goal and uh it's not just a goal but I thought we created lots of opportunities and even if this game ended up 3-0 no one was going to be uh surprised uh B based on the opportunities and uh the chances goals goal- scoring chances that we had but uh I'm uh very proud of them uh because uh it takes lots of uh lots of creativity precision and uh and very methodical approach and patience in order to break down the the the block that uh that they they they put in front of the goal I think uh after all uh we we did a very good job and it was uh it was once again as as I said before a great learning opportunity for us I know you guys have kind of done what you can to say it's it's the next game you guys do win a trophy tonight I just if you could speak to the importance of that and maybe in how having one going through that experience on the podium for youo like kind of Spurs that like fire to do that again come November yeah I mean it felt great especially when the reporter uh reminded me that this is the first trophy I've won here so that was fun um it did I mean it feels good but the it's rewarding when we execute our game plan um we battled hard you know at the end he was proud of us that we had like three four corners on us in the last minute and we were able to come out of it still with the wind so these are always little victories that we enjoy and we Embrace and we've improved on from the beginning of the season so yes it's a trophy but I'm still proud of the battle that we had out there and did does it that moment kind of the lift the confetti all that does that that kind of inspire more of that fire I guess for November yeah I mean winning is a good feeling right it's always good to win um it was hilarious when the confetti was stuck in everybody's hair and mouth that was fun um but no it's like I said I was very proud of this team we battled you know we usually get a lot of goals today it was one and sometimes that's what it's going to be so I'm proud of this team on the confetti note it looked a little different than regular confetti just like or like yeah wasn't me I kept my mouth shut and was holding the trophy so I was not out there doing the snow angels um but yeah it looked pretty I did not get involved um for both of y'all it just it seems like uh the passing is always usually crisp just in in this version of this year's team but it seemed like tonight was kind of extra crisp extra clear uh especially with one touch passes just uh what just kind of what spur that tonight I mean probably our rondos that we start off with every training um it was funny I was talking to Haley mace and this was probably her second time she's touched that ball because we used a different ball this tournament so the fact that the girls were able to try this new ball this week and still get wins and still play that way and have that team goal that was hype that was very fun to be a part of I think that's I think that uh you know the the Christmas or the touch or the combination or or being on same page uh it takes a lot of training but uh I just want to add train training together and uh this uh this group of players even though uh we've been together for eight nine months not everyone has been available to train together and we we see more and more moments now between um between two players or group of players we saw the goal that uh that dep scored and the combination between her and Teo they they really didn't have that much time to get her on the field for different reasons whether it's injury or International call-ups but uh we're we're going to see more and more in that hopefully as we go forward uh and just uh with the with the different ball just how how much how much difference did that make it for y'all I mean you didn't want to be there when we were doing our first shooting and finishing drill um it it's just different and the thing is we're Pros you can figure it out just like we had to figure out that they were sitting and having a lot of numbers back that's what we got to do and I mean it was an experiment and it was fun to figure it out Kathleen um coach we've talked a lot lately about dein and just how impressive he's been over this stretch what does it mean to see her get the tonight yes I I think that uh we still haven't seen the best of the best of that but uh uh we see how good how dangerous she can be when she's anywhere near her best uh in the in this game and in the last few games I mean the games over the summer we uh we see that she's getting closer and closer to it and uh uh when she's when she's doing well the players around her doing well uh it it's it's not that the that the team looks better there the team also looks fun to watch bless you we'll go back to Dave congrats to both of you uh coach obviously the offense has gotten a lot of headlines this year but the last several games your defense has been great uh how pleased are you with the progress the defense has made over the last few weeks uh first uh I think collectively as a team we we played a lot better uh um we were we uh we were a a little bit uh more I wouldn't say disciplined because we were we were always disciplined but more structured and uh uh tonight I think that Alana and stina were superb uh in the in the middle of the field and when they when they have to defend uh in bigger bigger areas and uh players like uh like Rashid who I think is incredible player it's not easy but I think that they executed it very well so very happy with them and as L said um at the end of the game we had I don't know three four corner kicks in the last minute in the moment I hated it but uh after the game I loved it because uh it is a learning opportunity for us it's a moment that we that we want to grow from and I think we executed very well all right do we have any more questions well PJ go ahead your down a little one drink or hair no absolutely like uh L said it's enjoyable every win is enjoyable and uh we want to we want to enjoy that but we also uh uh once once we're done with this one we start we have to start focusing to the to the next game uh it's important for us to uh to win to win to to win this tournament uh because uh we we talk a lot about uh creating a winning mindset creating a winning culture and in order to win to create a winning culture you have to win small uh small games small moments of a game like law was saying that there were small winnings throughout the game there then uh then uh you you have to win friendly games you got to win a tournament you got to win against International competition that's that's how you win uh uh the big one because uh uh if you feel like you're you're going to get get to the final and then end up winning it it's just a little bit harder uh I think that uh we're on the right step and uh we uh uh I hope this is just a beginning and because uh we want to do so much more we want to do more obviously for the organization we want to do uh a lot more for the community because uh the the support that they give us uh in in every game that we played so far it's incredible
