Nicole Virzi Kills Best friends 6 Week Old Baby

guys this is 29-year-old Nicole verzy from San Diego she flew to Pittsburgh to see her best friend and support her best friend for years as her best friend had just gave birth to twin boys Leon and aie while Nicole was in Pittsburgh she watched the twin boys one of the twin boys aie had suffered bruising scratches and dwelling to his genital area Nicole which is the one at the bottom the parents are the picture in the middle pictured with their twin boys Nicole brought it to the mom's attention hey look Orie has swelling scratching and bruising in this area so the parents rushed aie to the hospital and left Nicole with Leon the other twin shortly after they left for the hospital Nicole calls 911 and says says that Leon rolled out of his bassinet fell on the floor and hit his head mind you these are six week old twins six weeks old twins six week old babies do not roll they don't roll baby but this is what she tells the ambulance when they come when they got the baby to the hospital it was not consistent with the story that she had told them Leon had blunt force trauma to the left side of his head he has now passed away and Nicole has been arrested for homicide mind you she is a doctoral Psychology major at San Diego State University I think she was jealous of the couple I think she was jealous of her best friend because ain't no way and I also wonder and I know maybe his parents were not thinking because this is her best friend for years but after she show told you the bruising scratches and swelling of the one twin and she was the only one who had watched the one twin why would we leave the other twin behind oh that's it's just such a sad story I send my condolences to the family because I know they're probably feeling like guilty but it's just like wow can you believe that you flew from San Diego to support your best friend and you ended up killing one of her babies and harming the other and she trusted you it was babysitting her friend's infant twins has been charged with killing one of the boys and injuring the other it happened this weekend in Shady Side and now she's in the alagan county jail Shelley Bortz is there and joins us with the details Nicole verzy is behind bars here charged with homicide after police say six week old Leon cats died while in her care unimaginable H just just uh terrible and I feel so sorry for the family it's an unimaginable crime yet police say it happened in this Shadyside neighborhood six- we old twin boys one killed the other injured at the hands of their babysitter they're so innocent that they didn't ask for this and uh helpless uh you just don't understand you know why someone would have this in their heart to terrible feelings what would precipitate something like this cannot imagine cannot imagine police were called to this apartment building on nut Street Saturday night for a report that a baby had fallen from a bouncer the 911 caller was identified as 29-year-old Nicole verzy a friend of the baby's parents who was visiting from San Diego she told investigators six- week old Leon Katz fell from the bouncer when she left the room to get him a bottle Katz was rushed to UPMC children's hospital where he later died from blunt force trauma to the head that caused a skull fracture doctors who treated cats said his injuries were not accidental V's attorney David shreer disagrees our client was uh thrust quickly into a role of having to babysit a small child and an accident occurred and that child died and unfortunately accidents do happen and it's a sad thing it's an awful thing but it doesn't mean that someone's culpable according to the criminal complaint the reason verie was watching Leon cats Saturday night was because his parents had to rush his twin brother to the hospital for an injury to his genital area after being in ver care earlier that day Cat's twin brother was found to have scratches bruising and swelling I would ask the public to always listen to the facts and not jump to conclusions and allow the facts to come out as appropriate ver is charged with homicide aggravated assault
