geocaritus the head straight the conditioning coach for USF football [Applause] but you guys should appreciate it even more every day when these guys come in and we train you know we have what we need to accomplish that day but we're also setting them up for the next day or also later on that week everything doesn't need to be you know the basic barbell movements to get what we need out of that day whether we're working on tendon Health soft tissue stuff Mobility that also will translate when they go into directional stuff more applying agility and ultimately to playing the game of football you know we put a lot of emphasis on attention to detail things might be set up where you know they need to know what's coming next because they've done it before or if we're coaching something new I expect everybody to be locked in and paying attention and the other side of that is too we set them up where at certain aspects of training they have to push themselves they have to push the guy next to them because then you find out what your breaking point is and then you find out what the guy next to you's breaking point is and all we can do from there is just grow from it each day when we talk about somebody in the weight room that's a great leader I think you have to kind of separate it from the guys that just do what they're told and do a great job those are guys that are doing what they're supposed to do guys that are great leaders are going to get the group together they're going to then take the initiative to pull guys along they're going to be guys at the racks or at their station that are really getting everybody locked into what's going on and having those little motivational times where they can get guys to turn the corner guys that may be not putting out for what we need and they're the ones that bring those guys up the park as a coach I think it's one of the most powerful roles we can be in when it comes to teaching young men or young people about life when it comes to these guys you know the game of Life at the end of all this is what they're going to be playing when football is all done my relationship my staff's relationship with them that's the most important thing and I think we owe it to those people at home wherever they're coming from to help raise these guys for the next four to five years and help them out day to day not just with training but in life
