we're there again after another thrilling Cup tie night here red what is it with um made n United women and exciting Cup matches uh I don't think it's just exciting Cup matches I think it's just games generally we're never boring to watch that's always been a theme while uh certainly while I've been here but yes we certainly seem to uh to really turn on the excitement for the cup games uh kns Under The Lights just hit a little bit different um like the excitement is a little bit different it feels I don't want to say like real football but it feels like it feels a lot more you know like the big occasion um and I think with our performances in Cup competitions you can see the way we approach it it's like a big occasion for us um another really good performance lots of positives certainly the most positive game that we've had including preseason uh in possession um our our ability to connect from Back to Front was much more consistent we got loads of final third entries from our from our approach plan loads of entries into the penalty area and touches in the penalty area creating not just chances but high quality chances as well so that was all really pleasing um I still think we're a little bit too loose out of possession for my liking um but I think that's that's part of our excitement is isn't it so we'll try and improve that but um but yeah we'll take it as it is for now on Sunday we felt a little bit sort of hard done by as if uh the world was against us a little bit tonight we've had maybe a bit of Fortune in that first um 10 minutes or so with chances coming back off the uh off the woodwork for Ashford they played a full part in a good game didn't they oh yeah I mean yeah Ashford you got to give them credit they they they certainly were really good um played on the front foot as well certainly gave us a lot of issues got a lot got into a lot of One V one situations with our back line created some good chances themselves um like you said hit the word work I think three or four times in the game today plus Danny's had to make a couple of really good saves um so yeah like credit to them like they contributed to tonight being very entertaining um I don't know about us riding our luck like we've had a few opportunities that we probably should have done a little bit better with ourselves um I know they'll be upset at a couple of decisions but I think again that that went for both sides um so now I don't think we rode our luck today and the fact we finished with 10 players just after we've made our final substitution as well so yeah I'd argue that one but um it was nice to see us put in another gritty and resilient performance yeah it was great wasn't it those last 10 minutes after Emily who had an excellent game I thought limped off um to keep the shape with with 10 players and keep a keep a side at Bay like that we move on to Sunday now against a newly promoted team in Bournemouth Sports perhaps a team we don't know uh too much about but it's back at home again it' be really good to get a good crowd in and one we're really looking forward to yeah for sure I mean I think it was a similar story to last season in the sense that it took us a little bit a little while to get going in the league um quite a slow start um so the cup provided us with opportunities last season to basically have three hits at games and act as a little bit of a distraction and the cup games allowed us to build a bit of momentum that that really kickstarted our season in the second half of the last season um tonight's done the same for us it's a like it's a nice distraction we know that there was no Jeopardy on the game because if we lost tonight then we would have gone into a different cup competition so it's a bit of a free hit but we want to use tonight as a momentum Builder we want to Kickstart our season by getting points on the board on Sunday um I said to the girls before the game like we are very good now at York Road um it's only moneyfields Bournemouth and exitor last season who were able to win here um so we know we're good here um so we're looking forward to Bringing Bournemouth sport here it's a new test like you said it's aide we don't know too much about but at home we try not to focus too much about the opposition um it's more about what we do our principles and making sure that we apply ourselves properly because we know that we're good here great stuff well done tonight we look forward to Sunday thanks cheers a [Music]
