now you got a problem because now it's like like moss is saying I know there's two years left on his contract and then they got all these things to say to him why it shouldn't be negotiated but it's like now you don't think I'm worth it and now it's like well now I don't play at all so what head space Is He And I'm more worried about what head space Jamar is in because then I mean you get down to the New England Patriots and then I mean if I'm a teamate I'm like we should have him out there and then it gets irritating when you're down three points or it's tied in the fourth quarter and it's like we aren't this team this isn't our team out here they've messed us up up top oh by the way they play Kansas City next week so this is the one they're supposed to get before they go head-to-head against their AR Rivals Rex you're his coach now and Zack Taylor Zack Taylor actually used the words put my foot in my mouth a week and a half ago which in 30 years years of covering football I don't think I've ever heard a coach say that how does the coach handle the situation where he knows the player is this unhappy about his contract yeah I mean all you can do is sit back and say listen I mean business business is is is that man's you know uh responsibility all that kind of stuff he did sign a contract I'm a coach I want this guy to play for me all right the biggest thing for me is show them how good you are get out here show them how good you are look the Bengal the he's going to be the highest paid receiver in the history of the game he is at some point you're going to pay it what else you no he's he's nothing but I'm telling you this thing historically that they try to get it done after you know one year left what presidents are you willing to to step who's the next say coming out now is it the two years R I think that's the biggest issue right now but however it's going to be done at some point Jamar Chase can be looked at in that locker room as you know what this dude's coming out here everybody knows the situation and he shows up today and plays he's sick he doesn't have a contract well and he's well deserving to be the highest play receiver and you know what he's still out here for who for us not for anybody else but for us and he Pro and he possibly isn't prepared physically I mean how then then it's like okay I'm playing then how many reps do I put him out there as and so then it's like the game's tight and now oh shoot we've already had him out for 30 do we keep playing him and See's stretching right here like he's ready to go I mean that's a good sign I'm sure in his mind he thinks he's ready to go I'm just more C about curious about this head space all right all right and then a lot of guys really don't have any clue about what's going on in terms of being his teammate they've been doing everything like I'm trying to play linebacker he's trying to play he's trying to play tight end all this stuff and then they see him out there stretching and getting warm and then they see him have certain amount of plays and you know how you should look with him playing and then if it's different it's a huge huge distraction for everyone especially if you end up in a contested see I can see him doing the money Downs I I can see him being out there on third down and in the red zone right the those money Downs right there and yeah I don't think he's going to be ready to play a full game you know what like Randy and I talked about it before right I I mean but I I can see him in the money Downs put him out there all right crazy morning we have working here let's go back to our other developing story this morning and that is if you were just joining us Tyreek Hill detained by law enforcement as he was arriving at the St ium today in Miami we have the video for it here the Dolphins and Jaguars are getting set to kick off in a 1:00 eastern time uh kickoff in Miami and Tyreek Hill was detained by law enforcement and cited uh and then allowed to go in and play as you see he was handcuffed there but did make his way into the stadium and is there Jeff dingon is standing by with his agent Dr rosenhouse Who apparently was with Tyreek Hill when all this took place there they are Jeff take it away right now it involves Tyreek Hill Adam Sher what do we know all right green a short time ago police detained dolphin's wide receiver Tyreek Hill on his way into the stadium for what I'm told was a moving violation he happened to be with his agent Drew rosenhouse at the time and Drew rosenhouse says that Tyreek kill will be playing but there is the video of Tyreek kill being led away in handcuffs there with police on the way to the Jaguars game this morning but again we emphasize here that his agent Drew rosenow has said that Tyreek Hill will play today's game but this is obviously a very interesting incident on the way to the game today granny yeah interesting is one word for it it's stunning we were just talking about Tyreek Hill getting off to an enormous start to his season Randy you're projecting a big day for him and now we are seeing this situation as we get any more information obviously we'll bring it along immediately you know we talk about distractions and this is probably one of the biggest distractions that can happen a couple hours before kickoff right here you know I don't know anything uh just going off what I'm hearing from Adam and Drew rosenhouse saying that his client will play today I just remember being in a situation being arrested in going into a big game man my nerves and my mind was everywhere else it should have been on football but it was not so I'm just hoping today whatever went wrong just now everything is going to be all right if he's playing football get back the ball I I hear the word traffic violation and just from my experiences I'm to these are assumptions here we don't know the facts or anything I've had many teammates commit many traffic violations trying to get to the stadium on time and that's what happens and then how do you deal with a police officer that comes up to you and says you can't do this you can't do that get in line but it's like hey I got to get to the locker room sometimes things happen well fans may recall that something perhaps not totally dissimilar happened during the PGA Championship in the world of golf involving Scotty Sheffer and Jeff Darlington was there covering that and he is here covering the game with the dolphins he's inside the stadium so not where Tyreek Hill has apparently been arrested Jeff what can you tell us well I can tell you exactly what did happen greeny I have spoken to multiple sources Tyreek Hill was pulled over for speeding and once he was pulled over he did get into a verbal spat with the police officer who did not like the tone of what hill was saying that is at which point he put him in handcuffs now he was later released and he has been cited for reckless driving I can also tell you that other players were pulling into the stadium at the same time they saw what was happening and they pulled over to try to address the situation everybody is now here at the stadium I am told that Tyreek Hill is at the stadium he will play in this game but he has been cited for reckless driving after what I'm described as an altercation with police in a verbal form he was placed in handcuffs after that verbal spot with the police officer he has been released though and cited for reckless driving well done startling situation that's the whole thing right there that's the the verbal altercation there are meetings pre-season meetings regular season about there it's often times that we as players are encountered with law enforcement okay whether it's a cuz especially on game day because we drive a certain way to get to a place and all of a sudden now there's these cones and everything where we got to get around and we try to rush to get so if you're ever encounter we are always told respect law enforcement and how you deal with them especially how you speak to them because they they do take things a little bit they I mean you mouth off to a cop and then that's it okay and that's the way it should be I guess but still we are told to really have patience with law enforcement and not to do the whole man I'm trying to get to the locker room I play for the Dolphins get out the way hopefully it didn't go like that I mean eerily reminiscent of the Scotty sheffler incident right and then I think the difference here is you you mentioned it Randy like not only is it just a distraction for him but we just heard is all his teammates are pulled over they're all hearing this like potentially a lot of noise for this entire team hopefully on this note Tyreek can go out and do what Scotty sheffler did and was shooting the 60s the equivalent of that maybe he he still goes Scotty sheer actually went to jail on that morning was released got to the the golf course only was able to play because the start was delayed because of weather and still went out and shot around in the 60s as you are pointing out so he was able to block it all out Rex if you're Mike McDaniel if you're Tyreek coach today the minute he walks in maybe they've already seen each other we don't know the exact timing of all of this what's the first thing you're saying first thing is you you bring him in and you make sure you understand the facts what those facts are uh you know from Tyreek Hill and things and you want to make sure that he's in in a good place as well I I think that's the biggest thing and make sure that hey look if he has to sit down my thoughts are about the person first the player second so you want to make sure that he's okay in a good spot and and and hopefully you know nobody got injured in this situation or whatever but uh but that's what you want to see and then you'll address it uh if if you if he is going to play as we heard he's going to play uh then you'll talk you know W with in front of the team and thans now we got a game to play guys this is all going to be handled and let's go about doing our job but it's a lot easier said than done he's a competitor man I've been around this guy loves ball I mean from shooting horse to to playing football on Sundays this guy loves competing and I wouldn't be surprised given everything that's gone on if he still ends up out there on the field he may need to be calmed down he may need to be calmed down because I mean there various players are in various head spaces on their way to the stadium all right I mean I have I've been in times where I'm getting to the stadium I'm ready to kick some ass all right and that's all I'm thinking about and I'm not really to you would be both and I am not ready let's go and I not ready to deal with the cop okay and so and then you have altercation with him and then you don't never know what else is said you saw him on the ground on the ground being handcuffed how does he feel about all that he needs to be calmed down and I talked about the focus of where he's going to be at If he if he's able to play and we're and we're getting word that he is going to play I think ask you asked Rex Ryan about the head coach Mike McDaniels it's his job to reel this team back in you just saw the said teammates were pulling over hey not just Tariq Hill that will affect the team so it's up to the head coach The Reel that team back in so they can regain their F I'm told Jeff Darlington has more for us go ahead Jeff well no I can simply continue to add to this that this was a situation that felt eerily similar to the one that I witnessed at Valhalla Golf Club the difference here is that it happened outside the stadium the Miami Dolphins were quickly able to get involved to try to at least deescalate the situation in some capacity now again Tyreek Hill was cited for reckless driving he was not arrested as a result of this incident but he was cited for reckless driving he did arrive at the stadium surely more to come I'm going to try right now to leave this set I'm going to go find drew rosenhouse the agent of Tyreek Hill to find out what exactly happened rosenhouse was in the car with him I can tell you at this point though that the situation was deescalate large in part by the people that were able to go out there and figure out exactly what was going on all right jef
