NFL Week 1 Reactions+ McCaffery & Tyreek Hill News

we're going to be a little more unconventional here we are going to start and react to the week one NFL games here obviously this is a Monday and this is before the Jets versus 49ers game here so Quinn and I had decided to record ourselves just a little bit of a phone recording because we are so freaking professional we have decided to record ourselves re doing a quick reaction to both those games so here's the reaction right now all right everyone this is Quinn here we're talking about the ners Jets game so I didn't watch this game in full I watch highlights and from what I've heard and seen it seems like Aaron Rogers didn't do too badly considering he hasn't played for a year he did throw an interception he only had one sack for five uh yards lost which isn't bad um 167 yards not phenomenal 61.9 uh completion percentage quarterback rating of 82.8 so everything considered for how he played for not playing for a year it was pretty good I mean the Niners won of course um in San Francisco so that was a good Advantage for them but um yeah interesting about the ners though with the rushing game is Jordan Mason did arguably as well as Christian mcaffry did and we know that Shanahan does well well Shanahan offense is built for running backs so it's kind of an interesting thing to think about how good is Christian mcaffrey if he's he's in this offense so he's very good and we saw his talent before many times especially in Carolina when he was able to U play well but I m well at very least the Niners offense clearly helps him and maybe I'm well okay I'm definitely just questioning it because I would think zon Barkley is better because I'm Eagles fan I'm a little biased but but interesting to think about no I mean Jordan Mason did pretty darn good but regardless uh Debo Samuel did well uh the Niners just played a little better than the Jets and they got a lot of field goals that put him up uh let's see I believe it was one two three four five six field goals oh gosh so yeah um I mean they did well enough to get to the field goal range and not lose any points by not getting touchdowns or just kicking it but and they only got one touchdown to Debo um and that was a rushing touchdown sorry Debo rushing touchdown and Jordan Mason rushing as well so not a extremely exciting day didn't quite give the same uh feel as the Niners did before last year how good they were but I mean they take home the win over the Jets I think there's a lot to be be optimistic about for the Jets I mean Alan Lazard got two touchdowns Bree Hall got a touchdown as well um so although Bree Hall didn't do phenomenal overall touchdown 54 yards and a fumble that's not great not great for Fantasy but yeah it was a entertaining game but a little disappointing that uh Jets lost it would have been exciting for Rogers to come back and beat the ners but again a off first week is going to be a little rough and unfortunately Dy and I both got the game predictions wrong or at least believe he also choose the Jets but yeah good game but not particularly mindboggling hey guys so we are actually outside here for my Monday Night Football reactions here you get to see my lovely face and a change of scenery here so yeah pretty dead wrong on this one me and Quinn did not get this right I think we underestimated how long it was going to take for the New York football Jets to really get that chemistry going let's not forget Aaron Rogers hasn't played a full game since I believe January of last year so he had a few he had a few good drives the two touchdown drives were very effective for the Jets but besides that the biggest difference in the game to me was the time of possession I mean the ners just completely outp possessed them throughout the game just Jet's defense look gas and the offense kept going three and out on way too many spots dropped passes fumbles miscues the running game really couldn't get going for the Jets and the ners with maccaffrey out and an undrafted rookie from Georgia Tech getting I believe around 150 160 yards at a touchdown that man did very well and I expect him to maybe be a key part to this offense even if mcaffrey comes back maybe give mcaffry some rest but yeah I I still like the ners but I thought the Jets would play a lot better than they did so it just UPS the ante for my Titans pick to be honest to beat the Jets because I think it's going to take them a little bit to get going I think they can be a good team but it's not going to be easy so yeah great win by the ners they're still the top of the class in the NFC all right and we are right back here on the DQ frenzy here and I said we're going oh my God I can't believe it man oh oh what a game that play Crazy can't believe it crazy can't believe Rogers got hurt again anyway I said unconventional was a key word here we're not gonna start with the Thursday game here what we are going to do is start with the more recent game in terms of our VI our perspective and that is the Sunday Night Football game Quin Between the Lions and the Los Angeles Rams here a bit of a low-scoring defensive battle maybe a little bit more than we expected because I remember me saying it's going to be it could possibly be one of the shootouts of the week it was not it was kind of a defensive battle till second half it's sore to some people but then the fourth quarter things really picked up the Rams were struggling here they were down 17 to3 and you want to do a little sub segment here of NFL news Huka nakua is now injured and he is out for at least four games Shawn McVey announced earlier today AKA Monday which yeah does suck for the Rams but it opened the door for guys like your man Cooper cup yeah who's finally healthy it seems like for the first time in forever to go over a hundred yards and a touchdown Stafford threw for over 300 yards a touchdown and a pick in the Red Zone but yeah down 173 Rams cut it to 20 to 17 Lions came back and tied the game and then in overtime they won the coin toss and the defense just looked so so gassed the Lions just literally rammed it down their throats with David Montgomery which jir Gibbs owners have got to be feeling really good about that and he won the game with a touchdown here so Quinn what's your reaction here to the first Sunday Night Football game of the season well to be honest I I expect a little bit of like week one your the players aren't quite into it but then they start getting going like we talk about the Eagles game but I think that was a good example um but like a little in the first quarter but then it like okay then they start get it going it took them in what until the second half to start doing anything really I mean lions got touchdown and the second I believe that was Montgomery but it it dragged and beginning it was nowhere near as exciting as we expected like we saw the team last year and they're like this was exciting this was fun and then here we get uh well overtime it's not fun overtime exactly not most exhilarating like Mahomes versus Allen over time but at Le it ended [Music] up I'd say with especially with 2620 looks like oh yeah that was competitive but you can still kind of tell there was uh you know down period I mean both quarterbacks through interceptions too so um I mean Stafford had 100 more exactly 100 more passing yards in golf I would have expected the Lions to win by a little more but I mean Montgomery he did really well Gibbs didn't do so hot um I'm not really surprised but Jameson Williams he he went off five receptions for 121 yards and a touchdown so you know know maybe he's the new uh new amanra St Brown because St Brown certainly didn't show up with three catches for 13 yards but uh yeah and then it's a shame about Kuka Nuku I know a lot of people drafted him high like first round in like a 10 player League like that's brutal but then again maybe they should have drafted Cooper cup in the other round did and uh caches like Tyler Johnson 63 yard I believe but I feel like it was just those big chunk of plays that really were the exciting part of the game well I expected it to be close because their wild card game was only a onepoint game I believe these two I said last week they're pretty evenly matched up and like you said with week one it's kind of a feeling out process maybe some coaches coordinators would be conservative so it'll take a while to get the juice is going a lot of these players will'll see when we talk about games didn't play in the preseason or played limited so this is their first real crack at it here in a in months um but yeah it took a while especially for the Rams to get going it seemed like the loss of Puka affected them for a bit until guys like Cooper cup and Tyler [ __ ] Johnson stepped up who would have thought that he'd have a better week than Marvin Harrison Jr we'll get to that in a little bit but Stafford made some unbelievable plays there's the one play where he literally got hit the receiver wasn't open but he put it in a place it's good where the guy can catch it there's a few guys that started stepping up receiver wise yeah it's cool to see these guys that me and you probably never heard of Step Up puka was that guy last year so maybe the Rams had more magic in them yeah but yeah it was a good it was good to be for the Rams how resilient they were and Jameson Williams you're man he is trying to shut up the haters about him because yeah Aman was quiet Williams had the long touchdown in the second half but yeah both quarterbacks made some mistakes but both produced well overall of course Stafford usually is going to throw more than goth Montgomery got 17 carries and Gibbs got 11 so it seems like we were back to the beginning of the regular season last year where Gibbs didn't get many touches until a few weeks in Montgomery did well though so may that is true yeah like can't forget about the injury so maybe Dan Kimbell trying to ease his way into it but yeah I felt like it got intense in the fourth quarter of the game I mean Stafford and Goth both threw almost interceptions that were kind of heart pounding for if you're a fan of either team but over time I think you kind of knew the Rams defense was gassed and the line just took full advantage and scored sorry Stafford tals never fails you should have called it but yeah kind of a SL slow to get to good game but it ended up being a pretty good Prime Time game to close it out so I have no complaints unlike you but let's get into a game that I know nobody maybe except for Ravens fans have complaints about this was a great way to open the season got a little played a bit with the rain because of course it did but the Chiefs survived against the Ravens 27220 and Chiefs players stepped up I said this last week that they had a much better roster than last year I think it shows rasheid rice stepped up over 100 receiving yards Exavier worthy with two touchdowns including a rushing touchdown of course I left them on my fantasy bench CU I'm an idiot Mahomes didn't wue in the stat sheet but obviously he stepped up 291 yards a touchdown and a pick the Ravens their o line struggled big time yeah they were they had they had no answers for Chris Jones I don't I don't know how many illegal formation penies Quinn were called on them I think at least five it was crazy wellar did all he could he was a little bit inaccurate with the passing game on the second to last play he missed a wide open I believe Z flowers although he was being pressured there so who knows but he had over he had 122 yards on the ground Derk Henry only 46 rushing yards but he did score the first touchdown so welcome to Baltimore Henry it's kind of what I expected tight ends who would have thought that Isaiah likely would look more like Mark Andrew than Mark Andrew himself 111 yards one touchdown could have had two if he just kept that if if his toe maybe was a little bit smaller yeah it's guys like justice Hill Rashad baitman stepping up more than guys like flowers it was a bit of an odd game of guys stepping up but it was a very fun game to watch but the last two plays specifically what is John Harbaugh smoking this guy overreacts every time when he coaches against the Chiefs first in the AFC Championship Game refuses to run the ball that much now you want to put Justice [ __ ] Hill who's like 59 and weighs less than me he's under 200 pounds he wants to put him on Chris Jones what are you doing dude Lamar somehow got the throws off anyway and the touchdown that got reversed was a hell of an effort but clearly out of bounds any Ravens fans who are trying to justify it look at the replay he was out but hey I got that game right I could have easily seen the Ravens winning but Ravens and Chiefs never disappoint when they play it's two of the powerhouses I think the Ravens will be fine but good win for the Chiefs yeah I think I'm very happy with the outcome like you said very good game Ravens will be fine I mean they lose to the Chiefs that's just how it seems to be they won once when the Patrick moles era but yeah I just want to point out a few players Z Xavier worthy just that's crazy good for him popping off um and then the tight ends like you said I'll start with the Chiefs but like Noah gray got 37 yards Travis Kelce got 34 they both had three receptions each Travis Kelce did not show up and I feel I'd say I feel bad for people who drafted draft Kelsey but then I kind of don't but because I didn't um but yeah it it's rough because you I mean Kelsey dropped off a bit production wise last year and I think he's just getting a little older which is a shame to see like the star kind of start to fade but I mean that's life but yeah so no gray stepping up so tight end is not quite expected and then like you said Isaiah geley um I drafted Mark Andrews and I was not happy um with that but I mean I saw an article that claimed Mark Andrew might not have been fully healthy I believe it was just somebody speculating on why he got only two catches for 14 yards When likely got nine for 111 and why uh mandrews wasn't always on the field he did come off an injury last year let's not forget that that's true so I don't know if uh people were trying to take it if hard ball was trying to be easier on him after his car accident but um yeah but yeah and Derrick Henry it was uh excuse me he didn't get a lot of uh great stats but he got the touchdown so I mean honestly that's all that really matters he wasn't really getting anywhere with the running game on um Thursday though so but then again Derrick Henry so it's kind of what I expected out of him not a lot of yards but touchdowns he'll deliver in the Red Zone but yeah I like I said great way to open the season another great way to open the season the very next day was the Packers against the Eagles two of Quinn's favorite teams and they put on a show it didn't start that way it was very sloppy and I just want to say NFL you're a bunch of idiots for putting these players on these fields what are you doing this field is meant for soccer soccer fields and football fields are completely different in how they're supposed to be kept taken care of in Terms of grass and it was a dis disaster for players trying to find cleats the field by the end looked ugly by the end of the game we'll get to Jordan Love's injury in a bit it was it made the Chiefs Eagles Super Bowl look good their field by comparison yeah Roger cadell what the [ __ ] are you doing I understand wanting to expand the league and I appreciate that but let's maybe improve on the quality here and let's let players leave their hotels because dear God but to the game it's self here I want to start with the Eagles fan himself Quinn what did you think of the game and your Eagles being one and0 it was a very entertaining game it was fun it went back and forth I mean I kind of maybe I'm a Believer in the Eagles but I feel like I wasn't really as worried I mean it was kind of hard to tell who's gonna win I like I said I always kind of thought the Eagles were going to win maybe I just have faith I don't know maybe I'm psychic but um I was really happy with the Eagles I mean the first quarter was bad Jaylen Herz their the fumbles and interceptions were uh poor otherwise though Jaylen Herz played very well I was happy with that saquon Barkley is a beast better than Chris mcaffry on the Niners in my opinion uh but I mean that first touchdown grab that was crazy um as well as you know AJ Brown and Smitty going off Goddard even got into action a little bit it was a really good game the offense took a little while to get into it and the defense I mean the two one turnover was a Jaylen Herz interception Xavier mcken from the Giants who got signed by the Packers came up and grabbed the ball on a kind of double coverage down the middle of the field to Devonte Smith I don't know maybe that's Herz getting used to B's offense maybe that's just hurts bad decision regardless that put him in the in R30 I believe but our defense held strong and held them to three points and then on the fumble and the fumble wasn't really Jaylen her's fault um our Center snapped it too soon and I mean you know it's not Jason Kels anymore cam Jurgens so uh communication is a little off and it looks like they had a conversation afterwards so um that's unfortunate that's just how it is with the new center uh quarterback relationship though so understand that Packers got the ball again within like I want to say they're around the 25 that time but we held them each time and after seeing the defense last year it's so nice to see this year them stand and stop the touchdowns because this could have been a very different game if Packers would have gotten eight more points I mean would have been 37 to 34 see score standing as it is obviously things would have changed a lot during the game with early scores but it was really nice to see the defense stand all these uh other talk shows know NFL ESPN are like I don't know if the Eagles are gonna do well their defense was kind of terrible I don't know how it's going to be this year and this is how it's gonna be this year hopefully and just dominant and Zack Bon was insane 11 tackles um we also got a interception off Reed blankin ship and two SA Again by Zack B so I'm very happy with how the Eagles are looking I think we're going to be a Powerhouse team and I'll say for the Packers I think they're looking good I mean Reed seems to be the number one target now but then again that's just the Packers wide receivers they rotate was Reed turn Reed's turn on Friday this we coming week it might be Romeo dos or Christian Watson or Tucker craft or even Devonte so they have a nice deep build there uh defense was pretty good I'd say the Eagles was better considering they held them to two touchdowns but they were competent and um I wouldn't be I'm not too worried although Josh Jacobs was terrible in the first okay okay he was either terrible in the first half or the E Eagles defensive line was just dominant because he got like legitimately like four yards on like 10 carriers I think um I forget the exact numbers but you get the idea it was terrible and then the second half he started getting some bigger chunk yardages but like he was not looking good obviously he's still Josh Jacobs he's gonna do well and uh Jordan love looked good he had some uh not so great plays in decision making um excuse me including the interception but I here is's only out for four weeks which is good excuse me I think we can manage fine without him for four weeks I mean we have Malik Willis's backup and don't say we don't act like you not the Eagles but like um yeah you don't get to say that when the team the Packers played against is your true fandom I can say what I want thank you um but yeah so I like Sean Clifford better than Malik Willis but I mean I'm not Matt Le so well looking at the Packers schedule here they got the Colts Titans Packers or sorry Vikings and Rams coming up Packers playing themselves so it seems like those are the games that most likely it's going to be Malik that plays those games that's going to be tough considering all four of those teams maybe not the Vikings but most of the teams maybe have a shot against them without love I'm not really concerned about Titans as much but I see your point I mean yeah I I get that but yeah in terms of the game itself it seemed like both fo lines were a little bit uncomfortable probably because of the shitty grass at first yeah the slipping a lot a lot of pressure yeah a lot of pressure was getting to love and hurts the receivers were slipping Brown slipped a lot but that didn't stop him saquan Barkley welcome to Philly I saw a funny joke that's like this is only Barkley's second season where he wakes up above 500 that was that's pretty symbolism of like the dumpster fire he was with the Giants we'll get to that team in a minute but yeah Barkley did very well Herz ran for 33 yards AJ Brown 119 to touchdown Devonte Smith made some key catches and the like you said with the defense blanket ship got a key pick they were kind of bothering love all game long especially in the second half yeah and the Packers as a very half Jaden Reed fantasy owner to see him get a big receiving touchdown and a big rushing touchdown is awesome Jacobs did a little better in the second half but he kind of was Treading Water a bit clearly not developed as well as Barkley did um yeah receiver wise yeah who knows maybe Watson will be the leading receiver next week you you never truly know that's a good thing and a bad thing if for Fantasy owners for Packers receivers I mean I want to say I have hope for them but the love injury does concern me I don't think they're done at all by any stretch it's just they may they probably have to at least go like two and two if this is like a four-week stretch it could possibly be longer they have to probably be around the 500 Mark by the time love gets back which they certainly can do yeah Malik coming in the last play he couldn't even get a throw off I know he has a rocket arm but Eagle smartly pressured him there didn't even let him get a throw off yeah sloppy game but good game a lot of big like big plays like long yardage plays it is yeah ex exactly but yeah Eagles were the better team they deserve to win I hope love is okay but yeah good game just change the field next time boys yeah please all right let's go into my team the Pittsburgh Steelers they are going to the Super Bowl and when I mean the Super Bowl probably N9 and 10 and seven but guess what we won 18- 10 against the Falcons I picked Atlanta to win this game I'm happy to be dead wrong I didn't expect the Atlanta oine to struggle the way they were but TJ watt was just in full Hulk mode that man wanted a strip sack so bad but the refs kept taking it away from him and he was getting pissed the the refs were rough that game for both sides but it didn't matter at the end of the day say Chris Boswell was our best offensive player to be honest he hit what six field goals including like two from 50 plus he's he's one of the more underrated kickers in the league cuz no one talks about him because he doesn't hit these 60 yarders like like the Cowboys kicker Tucker or Elliott or something so yeah keep an eye out for Boswell cousin struggled big time like I said his Z line really couldn't get going he threw two really poor interceptions which you don't see cousins throw those that much uh Bean didn't need didn't do as good as I expected only 68 yards again it feels like Arthur Smith never left I mean he did return to Atlanta because Ray Ray McLoud was the leading receiver of that team Drake London didn't do anything Kyle pittz caught a touchdown but he was wide open he only had 26 yards yeah it was kind of a defensive battle both defenses drastically improved in the off season both their pass rushes did good both the Ste the Falcons Z line and the Steelers Z line struggled a lot fields did okay passing not that great though yeah and we were talking about this game last week expecting Russ to play we didn't expect the news of Russ's calf strain to get worse turned out to be a good thing Fields rushed pretty well for 57 yards na did okay got 70 yards Pickins had a pretty good day with 85 yards you look at the stats here with yards it's kind of just mid because how good both these defensive rushes and secondaries are but the Steelers defense just was just a little bit better and they ended up winning the game I will say they probably should go back to Russ if he's healthy because I feel like the offense will actually finish in the Red Zone if he plays plus I want to see his return to Denver but yeah it seems to be the way the Steelers win games ugly can't score in the Red Zone but the defense gets it done I just have to accept it and yeah Steelers gone a Super Bowl uh so first I wanted to point out I think it's kind of funny that uh so we talk about the Eagles and I'm like yeah I like them I like their chances and then we go to the Steelers and you're got steers Super Bowl anyway so I wanted to ask Jaylen Warren I saw that he might have been questionable what did he have some sort of injury or he did get injured in the preseason I forgot specifically what it was he did play but he was very limited I saw two carries for 7even yards is like he'll ease his way back into it yeah because I'm like wait a second because Naji getting 70 yards good but usually I'm used to like Nai 50 jayen war and about the same maybe more more but yeah I mean I I was pleasantly surprised that the Steelers won um Falcons fans are probably like crying or at least very unhappy because you know everyone media too it's like the Falcons win the division easy no question I mean they have a real quarterback now so I'm sure they're a bit disappointed I mean jumping back to the Steelers like George Pickins 85 yards that's good good um number one receiver clearly I'm glad he actually Steed up a little more and wasn't just like I make an incredible sideline catch and then I don't do anything for the rest of the game um it was nice to see him do something Pat fouth um I was burned by him in Fantasy last year getting like uh 20 points and then getting like nothing for the rest of the uh season uh I think that was uh the um Matt Canada's fault but I'll also blame him and I don't trust me anyway uh yeah so the Steeler Steelers were impressive Falcons were disappointing I mean like you said bejon got almost 70 yards I mean it it's all right and like you said rabier McLoud getting the most yards is kind of crazy I mean at least Bon got 43 um receiving so what 111 total scrimmage yards that's good for beon beon Fantasy owners which I might be in my other league I forget um regardless uh it was nice to see Kyle pittz actually do something with a touchdown but uh it's kind of rough I expect him to actually you know start catching some passes but I mean maybe it's wasn't Arthur Smith and maybe it's just Kyle pittz that isn't as talented as we thought maybe we're gonna have to face that reality this season but I think we need more than one game of pressured KK cousins but it was disappointing to see kind of nothing happen there but congrat not for me yeah not for me it wasn't disappointing at all um we're going to go to a couple of games here that we won't spend as much time on uh Panthers versus the Saints I was dead wrong on this I will fully admit that Bryce young I want to give him a chance but I question how the Panthers are developing him their o line is still really poor he threw two rough interceptions especially the second one Carr played pretty good three touchdowns chimra had a touchdown it was a lot of people you didn't expect from the Saints to score Shah orah did but then he did uh Jawan Johnson did and Foster Monroe scored a touchdown so and the only really thing I saw in detail was car trash talking one of the defensive players being like I scored three on you guys it's like okay Derek Carr it's the [ __ ] Panthers okay have fun with the Cowboys next week but yeah it is a good win for the Saints but it is the Panther so I gotta see more until I believe in the Saints if you would have time traveled or had somebody time travel in the future look at the score of the game they'd be like oh Dre Bru is still there uh not quite but um it was nice to see the Saints actually being competent again and like scoring Alvin CRA did very well then Jamal Williams got touchdown just because you know end of the game they they went up they beat on P beat up on the Panthers pretty easily I mean Panthers are still struggling I think I mean I kind of had hope that they develop a little bit because I do feel a bit bad for Bryce Young and the Panthers you know but it was rough for them miles Sanders got 22 yards rushing yay mil Sanders um but yeah Adam theland still the leading wide receiver surprise surprise and then uh you know Mingo and then bagetti sorry bagetti anyway uh Deontay Johnson only got two catches for 19 yards but that's just kind of how Deontay Johnson rolles sometimes he shows up sometimes he doesn't regardless it a bit of a it's a blowout game I you know I know have a better summary than that another rough performance in blowout out goes from the Giants they got blown out 28-6 to the Vikings Sam darnold two touchdowns at a pick Aaron Jones had a touchdown Justin Jefferson had 59 yards and a receiving touchdown Daniel Jones oh boy two picks only 186 yards I will say as a human being I feel bad in terms of like the heckl M he's getting at times like sometimes New Yorkers could be a bit ridiculous with the [ __ ] they say but it is New York it is kind of like you have to be thick skinned kind of place and this isn't even so much on Jones himself like we know he's not the best quarterback it's more on the general the management the well the management for thinking Jones long term was a good idea that's more what New York fans to me are pissed off about more than Jones the human being himself they're just taking it out on Jones but they really want to yell at the idiotic GM who got fired that made that decision to extend Jones it's going to be a long year for them man I mean yeah and Vikings another team like the Saints where it's like you beat the Giants call I mean good for them but like call me when you beat like a more competent team yeah the Vikings are trash and they beat soly worst trash anyway uh so Daniel Jon yeah I feel bad for um Daniel Jones too I mean Danny dimes is is a cool nickname except he's not dating D because he was being trash yesterday uh yeah the two interceptions was bad um Malik Neighbors at least well he got 66 yards and five receptions that's pretty good that's probably the second best performance for rookie wide receiver must be nice um but yeah honestly that was a bra spot but I mean the Giants their whole team's just kind of bad like they got rid of saquon Barkley they're only Dynamic like weapon everyone liked him now it's like who's the best player on the Giants is like I don't know probably mik neighbors and he played one game so yeah and then the Vikings Aaron Jones unfortunately got 94 yards on touchdown I really didn't know how he would do this year but I mean Justin Jefferson got 59 yards touchdown not surprising but not as much as typical Jefferson considering his quarterback is uh Sam darnold the great grandson of the Malboro man but um yeah not particularly exciting another kind of blowout yep that's all there is to it um other games here that we might not be as invested for no disrespect these teams but we still will talk about them uh commanders versus the Buccaneers the Buccaneers winning 37 to 20 predictable game in terms of me I kind of knew Tampa was going to shred this depleted Commander secondary Baker had four touchdowns making the Browns regret any decision they made we'll get to that game in a little bit Baker was the star here Godwin had a receiving touchdown Mike Evans had two two ridiculous Jaylen McMillan had a touchdown uh Daniels was okay he made he rushed for two touchdowns Brian Robinson had a touchdown but that's about it I mean it's not going to be easy for Atlant to win this Division and even though I picked Atlanta the Buccaneers are going to be on their tail and I think it's going to be pretty close race because the Bucks have a good off really good offense and the defense still has really good weapons in the pass rush so fairly predictable nothing shocking about this game to me to me this game interest wise is just mediocre it's like oh yeah it's the Bucks and commanders woo um the most impressive thing is Baker getting four touch Jam but then again it's also Commander so it's not that surprising um yeah I mean Mike Evans getting two touchdowns and Chris Scot getting one that was impressive and nice for them I was kind of expecting Rashad white and to get a touchdown and rushing instead of three receiving touchdowns but I mean whatever works um Jaden Daniels wasn't ter oh excuse me terrible 17 for 24 184 but um yeah Yeah Austin Eckler only got two carries for 10 yards that's a bit disappointing for the guy who used to be like must draft number one in fantasy a few years ago uh Zack Herz did well he was helping out a bit but yeah and Luke mcaffrey um got 18 yards but scary tly got 17 who also seems to be a bit of a not a bust but supposed to be Great Wide Receiver is just kind of mid but yeah so again just summary of the game it is it is week one it's going to take a while for these teams to get going we don't want to overreact too much unless we do um get to another four o'clock game here the Chargers beating the Raiders another game I was wrong on and a game two that didn't have a lot of scoring besides the Raiders early until the very end and yeah it was kind of Mitch looked okay he threw a touchdown in the pick the running game really couldn't get going though which is not a surprise considering Jacobs is gone Devonte was held in check with only 59 receiving yards Alexander Madison of all people had the receiving touchdown who the hell would have thought that I I I guess Madison did more in a game for the Raiders than he ever did with Minnesota um in terms of the Char ERS JK Dobbins late in the game was on fire 135 running yards and a touchdown Gus didn't do that much but they're still going to even it out in terms of them getting the carries Herbert only threw 26 times for a touchdown kind of expect that with the new Jim Harbaugh offense receivers makoni had the touchdown but not a lot of receiving yards again it's what you expect the Chargers let basically told you were running the ball a lot but the Chargers defense stepped up they played well they played really well uh I'm trying to see who got the interception for them here pona Ford H interesting uh Joey Bosa got a sack Derwin James did really well the charger secondary as well like in general did a lot better than I thought they would and yeah held the Raiders and check good win for them I was dead wrong about the Raiders yeah it's kind of a tricky game uh I like the Chargers at a you know base level I think they're very nice uh blue uniform and so that's why I started um watch them a little bit um but yeah it was a um let's go in game men looked all right I mean um yeah the running game didn't really go anywhere I mean they had a nice spread among their receivers I mean with between Myers Adams and Brock Bowers that was pretty pretty good and Brock Bowers did more than I expected him to in his first game so good for him welcome to the league hopefully he uh does well we need a really good tight end to replace Travis Kelce just not on the readers um maybe he'll get traded but anyway so Kos for him um and yeah honestly the most impressive thing about the Chargers was probably JK doin popping off uh I will say Quinton Johnson at least started getting into his own a little bit with a 38 yards receiving with three catches not not amazing but not bad that's not good but he's not he's catching balls now before he was dropping them so at least he's starting his thing uh getting into his Groove a little bit actually figuring how to be a receiver and then Hayden Hurst um I believe the Eagles released him before and he did okay I mean honestly for a tight end he did fine and then yeah the Chargers defense was good I mean you got Joey Bosa and um poo Max so yeah mildly entertaining it works uh let's get to a team in the AFC West Quinn that you are very high on I'm wondering if you're starting to regret that yet even though it's only week one that's your Denver Broncos they lost to Seattle 26 to 20 it stayed close it was very ugly at first from Seattle with Denver I believe getting a safety early in the game too and Gino was struggling and overall didn't do that great he only threw for 171 yards he did throw a touchdown but threw a pick as well Kenneth Walker was probably the MVP for them on offense with 103 yards and a touchdown uh DK mataf was held in check but Lockett had 77 receiving yards Zack shanet had a receiving touchdown these running backs and receiving touchdowns this week is a common Trend Seattle's defense did really well obviously with the crowd Factor one the ladder stadiums I knew it was going to be a struggle for Nicks two picks he did struggle a lot he did show a little bit of promise at times had a rushing touchdown the running game did nothing for Denver at all their oan was struggling big time and even their receivers were struggling as well it felt it did few I mean reyolds had 45 yards but it feels it feels like there's maybe not even a true number one there even if you consider Sutton a number one yeah it's going to be a struggle I'm I don't want to overreact but I'm starting to be like why did I put Denver in second again because they're a rebuilding team and you realize that on paper and when you see them play but it doesn't even it doesn't Seattle didn't have the most inspiring performance either it was kind of just an ugly game both ways around but at the end Seattle has more Talent so they ended up with the win yeah I mean all right it is not Bon Nick's fault that this happen you know like two interceptions like okay all right you know rookie quarterback he got a rushing touchdown 35 yards rushing for five carries not bad so I think he's gonna show promise but I'm gonna go ahead and blame his lack of wide receiver Talent um like you said he doesn't really have a number one Sutton I'd say is a good number two maybe like one B but I mean Josh Reynolds the wide receivers in yards and Devon V if that's how you pronounce it had eight receptions so I mean yeah I mean Seattle played well I do like Kenneth Walker I'm he did very good you know touchdown 1003 yards is impressive and uh yeah I honestly I was surprised by Tyler Lockett because last season he was kind of not dropping off exactly but he wasn't he was very much like a second or third fiddle to met CF and jsn so yeah I mean it was a close game at least good game I think the Broncos still have promise but we'll have to see how they do in the future we will indeed see uh now sliding into now maybe more of the Prime games maybe the games that were more talked about throughout the week not in a good way here for this game let's go to the Cowboys destroying the Cleveland Browns 33-17 Dak Prescott with that fat new contract that Jerry Jones just had the wait till the day of the [ __ ] game because these managers and owners want to they're like me they're like me in school they procrastinate that is the NFL this off season with all these moves they procrastinate to the last minute to make them but hey they make them bah Parson is going to want that money soon and it showed the way he played in the impact he made gosh Prescott wasn't even that impressive stats wise only 179 yards in a touchdown Zeke with 40 yards but he did score touchdown uh Brandon Cooks had the only receiving touchdown really the star of the show was the defense in special teams for the Cowboys because because Turpin got a punt return for a touchdown and the defense just was all over wats and Cleveland o line who's usually one of the best in football could not contain Dallas and desun Watson the man of the hour oh boy man is this is this contract Quinn just looking worse and worse and worse for them he looked horrible he cannot get anything going yes it might have to do with the fact that he hasn't even stepped on the field since the Ravens game but still he's nowhere near Houston Watson kept missing on passes through terrible interceptions I will say the receivers didn't do themselves any favors they could not get any Separation on them at all which concerns me because Amari Cooper did Jack Squat and neither did Judy he had a touchdown but it was in garbage time the Browns defense tried but yeah it was nowhere near enough the game was over by the third quarter I mean oh again dead wrong on this game and this is I again don't want to overreact too much but this is concerning the way deshaun's looking in this offense yeah it was um I wouldn't say it was a very impressive game for the Cowboys I mean they paid Dak like a minute before the game H so that's going to be interesting for Michael Parson's arguably the best player I mean some would argue CD is better but I don't know I mean Mah almost won Defensive Rookie of the Year or he won Defensive Rookie almost defensive player I believe last year and maybe even defensive player their year this year I mean we'll have to see but yeah I mean the Browns struggled I mean it I mean it's not the 40 plus points the Cowboys put up on like the Giants but I mean we expect the Browns to do a little better their defense kind of struggled a little bit I mean the Cowboys they kind of did well in like the second and third quarters and then they kind of it was a slow game though they didn't they didn't have the big plays I mean CD lamb got 61 yards to be honest that's kind of for CD lamb that's kind of disappointing again this is week one so weird things happen Brandon Cook's got 40 yards and a touchdown that's not entirely surprising um Zeke got 40 yards not the complete shell yet he also got a touchdown but that's just you know that's Zeke sometimes and then yeah I mean Watson throwing two picks it kind of showed his rust but Ford got touchdown he got okay yardage and then joku led the receivers that's pretty bad I don't know if that's a representative of the Cowboys defense just being great or if it's just the Browns players not or maybe just the scheme but yeah um not particularly impressive game or on either side but entertaining enough I suppose although I will say TR Trayvon Diggs welcome back to Dallas he had a pick and the cowboy second year even without Don Bland looks very very good so yeah concerned about the Browns but that's just just good for my Steelers so andad for everyone who doesn't want to hear the Cowboys fans talk about the Super Bowl again anyway it's one it's one week Cowboys fans anyway know they're going to the Super Bowl already gez don't you know let's let's get into the two young studs including a rookie and that rookie struggled and that is the Bears versus the Titans Quinn the Bears did not have one offensive touchdown it was all special teams and defense what the hell kale Williams 93 yards DeAndre Swift only 30 yards their offense was terrible someone needs to tell K Williams he's not in the back 12 anymore you can't be rolling out 30 yards behind the line and thinking you can extend the play no buddy but guess what leus didn't do himself any favors he did throw a touchdown Tony Pard actually did pretty well with 82 yards and a touchdown um Calvin Ridley had 50 yards the guy for the Titans who caught it touchdown I don't want to pronounce his name because I don't want to offend anybody I believe he's one of their tight tight ends okay thank you Quinn that's DeAndre Hopkins did nothing eight yards and a really bad interception by Levis at the end you need to just take the sack there young man you it's unnecessary to throw that I know it's easier said when I'm just sitting here in my chair but a lot of a lot of people could say that a lot of experts tell can tell you to not throw that ball yeah very ugly game on both offensive sides more of a defensive and special teams and a bunch of returns prowess but hey the Bears the Bears deserved it because they made the plays at the end of the game and the Titans screwed up yeah I mean we expected this to be kind of a bad game because I mean it's will Lis and the first game for Caleb Williams I mean the Bears offense was just unimpressive um Caleb Williams interesting to note though he had a he did not have a good completion percentage in college I think it was under 60 especially some games so he's good he's talented but then he's it's not he's not oh he's cracked up the be all the time I think would be a fair thing to say and especially yesterday it didn't quite work so we'll see how they do maybe just another Chicago quarterback who gets drafted is just Chicago but uh yeah and then I mean at least we l a little better but he did throw two picks when Williams threw none but yeah I mean the bear when it comes to this kind of game the defense wins it and you know Kad are the Bears defense for pulling the win out and at home speaking of a defensive battle Quinn we have our upset of the week by far the Patriots beat the Bengals we were questioning if the Bengals were going to continue their horrible beginning of season Trend I thought it would stop it doesn't seem like it's going to stop Quinn anytime soon because the Patriots gerod Mayo's first game is a w 16-10 again a game with barely any offense except with the Patriots probably MVP of the game ra Andre Stevenson seems like he's finally getting back to his form from two years ago 120 yards in a touchdown nothing else to really say on the offensive side of the ball Cincinnati Joe burrow struggled to get anything going and Jamar played he played and burrow only had 164 yards the running game couldn't do anything Zach Moss did have a touchdown but only 44 yards Jamar Chase 62 yards no other receivers did anything I don't think T Higgins looking at the stat sheet it looks like he didn't have a catch not one yeah that's bad that's really bad I I want to say in terms of first of all I don't I don't think the Patriots are going to be still good I just think this is a good win and this is just a team that always likes to play like [ __ ] in the first few weeks for some reason and then pick it up and I want to say cin he's fine and everything and be like Oh They'll lose two games and then get their crap together which they probably will but one they got the Chiefs next week and two can these players stay healthy enough at all and three this division is a pain in the ass and the Steelers are always going to contend Cleveland we'll see about them and then Baltimore despite the loss will be I still think the class of it so Cincy needs to get it ATT together quickly it is concerning that they keep starting rough it may not matter in December but it's crazy how burrow just it takes him a few weeks to get going because this is his first year where he's fully healthy in a few years yeah shocking upset but good for Geron mayo and the Patriots but you guys are still probably not going to be that good of a team the Bengals are the reason that you can say that weird stuff happens in week one yep because they're just like you know what I like that saying and I'm gonna make sure it happens every year um yeah I mean like you said Jamar Chase played 62 yards it's you know it's all right but for Jamar Chase you'd expect a little more Joe burrow again I mean his stats look better than he was I'd say because he was 21 for 29 not too bad uh like you said 164 yards so it's yeah I don't know the Bengals have problems the first few weeks I don't know what it is but they gotta figure something out or maybe they don't they're just you know what we don't have to worry about this it's just the first two weeks doesn't matter but with the Ravens playing the way they are then they kind of kind of have to worry about the first two games excuse me of the season and then yeah the Patriots R Andre Stevenson went off and yeah brassette was good enough he uh you know 121 yards but yeah they patri played well enough to beat the poorly playing Bengals so yeah yeah B got some Keith yeah he got some Keith third down conversions and managed the game well to win for them so yeah good for them yeah um we got three games left here Texans versus the Colts they're they always seem to be tightly contested games here uh Anthony Richardson with the weirdest statline ever nine of 19 for 212 yards two touchdowns in the pick including a DOT of a touchdown early in the game one of the better throws I've seen but he is such a boomer bust player it's not even funny because he had some throw he had some throws where it looks like he looks looks like momes and others where he looks like Daniel Jones so yeah you never know uh Jonathan Taylor didn't do much surprisingly only 48 yards he did score Al Pierce caught that big touchdown early uh Ashton Dolan 5 had that another big touchdown actually it was he who had the big touchdown sorry about that Michael Pitman Jr held in check in terms of the Texans Joe Mixon had a very good debut for the Texans he got 30 carries which surprises me for 159 yards and a touchdown CJ strout did well 234 and two touchdowns kind of a typical strout type statline Nico Collins was a good the star receiver for them yards wise with 117 but Stefon Diggs had two touchdowns for them while tank Dell had 40 yards so yeah this was kind of a back and forth Affair here but at the end Stout outplayed Richardson just too many mistakes on offense and yeah it it's always it's always fun to see these two teams play I expect good things from both these teams even with the concerns of Richardson but yeah the Texans hpe train to me is real go Texans and a good game yeah Texans have a good start they're uh getting to the Super Bowl run for those the Eagles but uh yeah they can enjoy their Victory week one um yeah like you said Anthony Richardson had a very strange stat line but I think Richardson's just going to be one of the players that is very talented but can also just like a more talented Jameson Williams almost obviously different not 30 touchdowns for 30 interceptions but yeah he he definitely has the raw talent but he needs to be refined a bit I'd say if there is a award for the Colt of the game I'd give it to Alec pierce with 125 yards in touchdown that was good for him for only three receptions that's impressive and Texan wise and of course I'm just going off offense here uh Texan wise I'd give it to Joe Mixon with the 159 yards on touchdown that is insane I people thought mix is going to start to declining after like last year last year starting and like I kind of agreed but he's he's giving everyone the middle finger and saying no I'm still him and uh arguably better than he was on the Bengals at least with this first week so um yeah very impressive Nico Collins getting a lot of yards that's you know makes sense and Diggs Diggs is an interesting player I mean 33 yards but two touchdowns he's just talented but yeah definitely a good game the comparison with both these teams while it seemed like the Texans methodically drove down the field to score the Colts kind of relied in this game on Boom plays to score big plays they had a lot of those and that's kind of defines Anthony Richardson so it'll win the Colts some games but it's not going to be enough against a team like Houston who to me seems possibly Super Bowl bound honestly so but yeah a good game another really good game I expected it to be close but it turned out to to be won of the games of the week was the Cardinals at the Bills Buffalo barely surviving 34-28 the Cardinals had the first kickoff return for a touchdown in this new weird rule era of the NFL so good for them for figuring it out Kyler did okay 162 yards passing 57 on the ground but he could not find Marvin Harrison he did Jack [ __ ] he did nothing and there were a few plays where he was wide open and Kyler just flat out missed them and I know it might have to do with their suspect o line there were a few plays where Kyler had to hold the ball for while run for his life because that's just how the Cardinals are they they had the lead early bills came back Cardinals good good for them for staying resilient and keeping it close James Conor had a touchdown uh Michael Wilson had the receiving touchdown uh Buffalo Josh Allen was pretty much in full tank mode he threw for two touchdowns and rushed for two Shakir had a very athletic touchdown where he reached over the pylon Matt Collins had a touchdown but yeah it was kind of the Allen Show James cooked it okay with 71 yards and the Cardinals could have won the game on that fourth down there was I thought they might have been able to get the catch maybe hail Murray part two against Buffalo but it did not happen and the bills survived I I mean maybe you could be a little bit concerned with the bills on the defensive side but they Lo they've lost a lot of players it's just how the Bills win games and the Cardinals I don't know if they're a playoff team but they definitely have to be better than last year because to keep it close with the team like the bills is very impressive so yeah very good game yeah this was definitely one of the best games of the week definitely best game of like Sunday I'd wager but yeah this was a tough game to predict it was kind of back and forth at least for my opinion like I don't think the builds are going to do great this season I mean this is promising definitely for them but um I mean they almost lost the Cardinals which I mean they seem like they're going to be a feisty team this year uh and yeah the Marvin Harrison Junior thing is just disappointing I mean I have fantasy but it's just disappointing in general it's supposed to be like best wide receiver and how long out of Ohio State and uh what does he do one catch four yards and yeah some of that was Murray and some of that was you know the line but like if he's wide open it's it's disappointing frankly but um yeah Jame James Conor did pretty well they started off and like James Conor is gonna get a lot of fantasy points today and then you know 50 yards a touchdown rushing and then 33 receiving so I don't think he cracked 20 but he did pretty well and the bills Josh Allen was just incredible uh James Cook did well as well uh the 71 yards and yeah some of their receivers stepped up which was good to see from them uh although I have to say their tight end group is a little interesting with having both Dawson Knox and dton can Kade so we'll see how that all shakes out but yeah the bills I think have more hope than I give them credit for but I don't know I still don't know if they're going to make the playoffs or not we'll see I disagree with you but let's get to the main event game we want to talk about and Quinn I think you know why I chose this game to talk about last the Jags versus the Dolphins but we got to talk about what was off the field Tyreek Hill earlier that morning was pulled over I don't even know if we even know why maybe it was for speeding apparently I according to the police which who knows he was resist he was resisting and there was a video caught yeah caught on camera of the police detaining him he was let go was able to play scored a big touchdown and then did a [ __ ] celebration mocking him getting put in handcuffs dear Lord Tyreek and then a and then after the game he said something very interesting where he said what if I wasn't Tyreek Hill I don't want to get too controversial talking about stuff like this we I just want to mostly strictly talk football I will say I get I kind of get that he has a he does have a good point because yeah maybe if it was a player like Tom Brady or some or another player who who's maybe a different race like I said don't like getting these topics but I just want to acknowledge it it it might have been different honestly it might have I do get his point at the same time he has the reputation with the stuff he's done off the field so a bit of a double-edged sword where Tyreek may have a point but he's also a hypocrite because he's done a lot of stupid [ __ ] off the field so do you have any takes on this incident Quin I think it's very odd that this happens I know he has a custom kit car apparently is what he got pulled over in and I mean I know there's been some issues lately and politics especially with um you know racing getting pulled over but then seeing how Tyreek Hill is and you know seeing how he's played the fact that he what like choked his pregnant girlfriend I'm not exactly inclined to believe the dude when he says oh I was he didn't even make an excuse but no um yeah I I'm not inclined to believe him and I believe we texted and you said he was reminding reminding you of Antonio Brown it's like you know what that's a good point yeah I don't think he's as crazy but it's definitely some questionable things going on and yeah well just the questionable [ __ ] he says and gets into it's just the best comparison I can make I hope he doesn't turn into that but it's concerning but let's get onto the football field itself here the Dolphins coming back to beat the Jags that spark play from Tyreek kind of started the comeback for them because they were struggling on offense beforehand yeah and so were the so were the Jags surprisingly I think yeah around 8 yards but Miami's defense surprisingly held Jacksonville very very well in check Lawrence only with 162 yards in a touchdown etn didn't do much a touchdown only 44 yards Bigby of all people had 12 carries for 73 yards he did better uh gay Davis led the way with 62 yards Thomas Jr had a touchdown yeah kind of like a defensive battle at first until the fourth quarter but then Miami at the end was able to come back and win Tua did very well in the fourth quarter to lead the comeback he threw for 338 in a touchdown the Run game didn't do anything a chain scored but only 24 yards Jeff Wilson of all people had the most yards Raheem moer was terrible really terrible I don't know what the hell happened to him but fantasy owners oh boy obviously Tyreek like we said with the big touchdown jayen wad had over 100 yards aain did have 76 receiving yards so yeah again while the running backs running game May struggle they are they're both very good receiving backs so yeah a good win for Miami I was concerned watching this game but it did prove that Tua yes it's week one yes it's the Jags so maybe they're kind of an okay team but he does have a little clutch in him and Miami came back to win so yeah good game for and good for them yeah uh so I was drafting Fantasy on Sunday at 12:15 I believe with a high school uh Friends League and at one point I was looking at Wadd and I was between two players and I was thinking I think wd's going to have a pretty good year this year and I'm looking at these stats and I'm like Jaylen W had one catch for three yards I'm like what and then I looking like Ah that's a rushing he had five catches for 109 yards so I think Wild's going to do well this year I do think he's going to regress a bit I think he'll still get these crazy touchdowns but I think they'll definitely increase or sorry decrease in number but yeah the rushing game for the Dolphins was disappointing it kind of was a slow start to the game well especially for the Dolphins they were just kind of bad in the first half or at least very first quarter but and then the Jags were just kind of they did better in the first quarter and then kind of oh I mean they got no points in the second half so uh that tells you what you need to know about that but the Jags offense I'm not really surprised in pop off I mean Gabe Davis got the most yards 62 I mean to be fair their number one weapon is pretty much Christian Kirk or arguably Dave D Dave Davis at this point but then again he kind of he do really good and then he does really um yeah not so good but yeah it's Jags need to kind of get their stuff together Dolphins was a good comeback win for him they should be uh feeling pretty good about that but also some concern um I don't know how well their defense played overall I know they got rid of Vic vanio because eag have him now but um well second half obviously they performed well yeah because there's no points but yeah good job it's our first reactions we will do this every week react to games here it takes a little bit but hey like I said divide it into segments and it'll all work out okay
