e for e good morning everyone and Welcome to our live coverage of the latest Mission from Cape canaval space force station and Will Robinson Smith will be providing our commentary for the duration of this coverage we are broadcasting as we always do from the space flight now news Bureau here at NASA's Kennedy Space Center there's been a uh bit of shuffling of course if you've been tracking the progress towards what was originally built be the return tolight Mission which was the starlink 9-5 flight from Vanderburg space Force Base however space 6 has pushed that launch back a couple of times now it's targeting the end of its launch window setting up the starlink 8-10 Mission from here at Cape canaville space force station to be first up to bat laun time targeting a liftoff here at 343 amm Eastern that is 0743 UTC for those joining around the world talk a little bit more about the path to getting here as we continue on through the count currently team minus 55 minutes 19 seconds and counting we are joined in support of this mission on our side of things by space like now editor Stephen young he running the technical operations of the broadcast our Adam Bernstein is still off at the moment he'll be back soon but our Michael Kane is out preparing to track this Falcon 9 rocket do some still photography as well if you're not already following the fellas you can find them over on their social channels Michael is at MD Kane Jr on X Adam is at aurn NYC you can be sure to follow spaceflight now simply at spaceflight now we're also joined in tracking the Falcon 9 rocket by our friends Pete Carson's with Max Q Productions and Chuck and Chen Briggs with cgj images Curr the tus 54 minutes 2 seconds counting to the LIF off of this Mission 21 starlink satellites on board this Falcon flight getting ready to head up to low earth orbit this will be spacex's 59th dedicated starlink launch so far in 2024 and the 122nd time it SpaceX sends up the starlink V2 mini variety of the starlinks as we're kicking things off want to thank the nearly 900 of you who are with us in the live chat if you haven't already be sure to hit that like button for us that'd be greatly appreciated allows more folks to find their way into this live coverage also want to thank our wonderful moderators in the live chat Kalisa Lee and Stephanie B for helping to hold things down know there's been a bit of bouncing back and forth between this live stream and the one out in vanderberg so appreciate you helping out on both sides and if any of our other moderators happen to find their way into our live chat today be sure to extend them a very warm welcome speaking of warm welcomes we are powered by a wonderful Channel member Community here on YouTube so thanks to folks like Jeff Hansen butterfly I Le big 816 zepher wolf uh myy Collins Zeus's mommy many others Channel membership comes with a number of perks including discounts that are online shop that is shop that's spaceflightnow.com access to member only videos here on YouTube and of course the ability to watch all of our live launch LIF off moments from here at the cape in 4k last but not least if you have a comment or question and your comment or question is appropriate to be read on our show and You' like to participate in our broadcast you can use the YouTube Super Chat feature not only will he be giving us some interesting things to talk about as we continue on through the countdown which you'll be supporting what we do here at space flight now and that would be very much appreciated as well I want to welcome in Edward M joining us with Channel membership at the pad leader level welcome aboard we're glad to have you with us and welcome to Carrie for joining us Channel membership the Palio level or I should say welcome back for only T minus 49 minutes 47 seconds in counting in support of this Mission The Bard County Emergency Operations Center has confirmed that they have activated a few minutes ago in support of this launch one of the busiest eoc's in the country The Bard EOC here on Florida's Space Coast activates for every launch every static fire every major launch operation in their campaign not only for SpaceX of course but all the other launch providers here at Kennedy and at the cape and that's in addition to their other more regular Emergency Operations duties that you'd expect to see at other eoc's so between the launches and the impacts from the tropics they are quite busy this time of year certainly we're now about a little bit less than 10 minutes away from the point at which the SpaceX launch director is going to make the call and to start a prop load for this Mission SpaceX is now at a point where it is targeting the end of the launch window for both this cape launch as well as the flight out at vanderberg so pushing it right up to the edge here we'll see if either or both are able to make their launch dates today and if we'll in fact have the backtack back launches that SpaceX is hoping for in anticipation of that let's go ahead and talk about the launch countdown timeline the events that we are anticipating assuming SpaceX is ready to go ahead and step through the count and start to fuel its Falcon rocket tus 38 minute point is generally speaking when the whole wraps up and they get the go-ahead to move into fueling this is done electronically so if SpaceX is in a position where they feel like they can go ahead and people can enter their opinions early they can do so but the feeling itself will start at the T-minus 35 Mark with a loading of rp1 or rocket grade kerosene on both the first and second stages of the falcon9 rocket at the same time liquid oxy is loaded on board the Falcon 99's first stage T minus 30 minutes helium is loaded into the pressure vessels on the first stage helium is used to pressurize the main propelling tanks during flight same will happen on the second stage at about tus 26 minutes few minutes after that the second stage kerosene tank is full a T-minus 20 minutes and 50 seconds the chill down of the strong back begins you know it more visually as the so-called big vent that's the process where they are thermally conditioning the feed lines ahead of second stage liquid oxygen loading beginning at tus 16 minutes tus 7 Minutes the children of the N9 Merin 1D engin gets underway that involves flowing a small amount of liquid oxygen through the plumbing and turbo pumps helps protect the engines from the risk of thermal shock and damage during the startup sequence about 6 minutes out the first stage kerosene tank should be full and a te minus 4 and A2 minutes the strong back retract sequence begins starts with the clamp arms underneath the payload fairings opening up and then the strong back or the transporter erector will recline about a degree and a half away from the falcon9 rocket stays in that position until lift off that point pulls back in a much more rapid fashion to clear the way for the vertical climb of the Falcon 9 t Min 3 minutes the first stage liquid oxygen tank is full minute after that same is true on the second stage at which point the Falcon 9 rocket is fully loaded with 1 million pounds of propellant in the final 60 seconds control of the countdown is handed over from the ground sequencer the Falcon heads onboard flight computers the propell tanks are brought up to flight pressure all that will come through a call out from SpaceX saying that the Falcon 9 is in startup do 45 seconds the SpaceX launch director will give their go for launch the engine ignition command will be issued at T minus 3 seconds and if fall nine Merlin 1D engines are healthy ignite the flight computer will give the command for the hold down clamser release the Falcon 9 rocket for t0 liftoff again coming up at uh 3:43 a.m. eastern 0743 UTC for those joining around the world other words T minus 44 minutes 26 seconds e e e for currently T-minus 41 minutes 53 seconds in counting appreciate the little more than 12200 of you who are joining with us live want to thank some folks in the live chat for your support this evening slash morning depending on from where you are joining us and what your time zone is want to thank KH and Zeus's mommy for gifting five space flight now memberships each to our newest 10 channel members oh and uh Mory Collins for gifting another five space V memberships appreciate you so to our newest 15 channel members welcome aboard we're glad to have you with us if you haven't already be sure to thank KH Zeus's mommy Andor myy Collins or I suppose you can thank Jeff hen who also just gifted five space FL now channel memberships appreciate you Jeff thanks to all of you for your generosity Mari Collins marking three months as a channel member of the pad leader level glad you're sticking with us Mori another Channel member the astronomers with the $10 Super Chat thank you the astronomers wishing a good luck this morning to Chuck Chen Pete and Michael on their tracking work Jeff Hans with the $5 Super Chat and uh the mood that seen certainly from a lot of folks in the space community on social media wishing a rip to boost 1062 in the SpaceX Fleet of course reason that the fa had the Falcon Fleet stand down for uh what ended up being a very brief period of time for those unfamiliar of course it came in on a pretty hard Landing during the most recent starlink Mission starlink 8-6 touching down on the Drone ship a short fall of Gravitas and pretty quickly top Ling over surrounded by Flames if you haven't already uh we did publish a video on that earlier today so you can go ahead and check that out at your leisure do have word from SpaceX now that I'll quote them here quote the Falcon 9 is ready weather is looking good we are about five minutes away from pent load starting for tonight's launch of 21 Starling satellites from pad 40 in Florida so as I mentioned SpaceX is able to make that call a little bit ahead of the T minus 38 minute Mark so they have gone ahead and done so and announced that which we certainly appreciate given the shuffling around with the launch timing of everything with vanderberg so good to know from the horse mouth that we are on track here in Cape Canaveral speaking of on track let's talk about the track that this Falcon booster is going to fly along once it leaves the pad take a look at a satellite view of slick 40 as known as space launch complex 40 there at Cape canaval space force station heading up to the eighth shell this will fly a familiar path for most Folks at this point who are take the time to join us at 3:04 a.m. on a Saturday morning falcon kns can be flying in a northeasterly trajectory heading away from the cape so for folks in the northeastern part of Florida up to Georgia and the Carolinas hopefully you're not clouded out tonight and if you are able to get a photo or video of the Falcon as it makes its Ascent be sure to tag us on on social media would love to see what you capture following stage separation the falcon9 first stage booster b169 which is making its 18th flight today it's going to be a landing on the SpaceX drone ship just read the instructions a little bit further down range the payload fairings will Splash Down Under the support of parachutes and be recovered by one of space se's East Coast Recovery vessels and brought back into Port Canaveral where like the first St booster all goes well they will be refurbished and turned around for future flights SpaceX still on the path towards certifying both its boosters and its payload fairings for up to 40 flights each SpaceX of course also saves about $6 billion per recovery effort when it comes to these payload fairings so it certainly behooves them to retrieve them if at all possible this is what it looks like when one of those fairings is being brought board the recovery vessel this image captured uh a little more than a year ago now at this point we now T minus 36 minutes 2 seconds in counting about a minute away from fueling beginning on the Falcon 9 rocket if you're just now joining us came at a good time the Falcon 9 is about to be loaded on both the Falcon first and second stage with rp1 or rocket grade kerosene liquid oxygen will start flowing on board the Falcon 9's first stage at the same time just about 30 seconds taking a look at the live chat here I want to thank RV Bridgeman on YouTube for a $5 Super Chat appreciate you RV says uh SpaceX thanks for the continued live streaming of every single blast off to space while we he at space flight now are very willing and happy to provide live launch coverage for all the missions that lift off from Cape canaval space force station and the Kennedy Space Center regardless of who sends them up of course SpaceX does keep us quite busy these days and want to know butterfly marking 8 months is a channel member here with us good to have you sticking around butterfly says another month with my space friends Northeast means I get to see the full Arc hopefully the weather conditions are such that you don't get obscured by that butterfly fingers crossed for you for currently T minus 33 minutes 24 seconds in counting taking a look at an animated map from SpaceX of the built out over the years of starlink capabilities around the Earth as the light blue areas fill in those are of course spots where the starlink service is currently available to customers in those countries or regions around the world to date SpaceX has launched it's getting close to uh 7,000 satellites in total of course not all them are still on orbit that's closer to about 6,300 according to Jonathan McDow astrophysicist and expert orbital tracker you take a look near the base of the falcon9 first stage you can see a little bit of a frost ring forming as the super cold densified liquid oxygen is loaded on board the first stage locks tank as that super cold oxidizer is loaded on board the tank of course it's meeting the much warmer Florida air and creating that Vapor that you're seeing now T Min is 31 minutes 22 seconds in counting this is the as mentioned 59th dedicated starlink operation in 2024 on board our 21 starlink to Min satellites 13 of which feature the direct to cell capability with this Mission SpaceX will come up to a grant total of 168 of those direct to sell satellites that have been launched since they began the process of deploying those among its Fleet speaking to the V2 mini design each of them clocks about 1,760 lb or about 800 kg with their solar panels in Fr they have a wingspan of about 100 ft or 30 m they use argon Hall thrusters for in orbit Maneuvers they're built in Redmond Washington near Seattle I'll be deployed at about 184 Mi or 296 km in altitude at a 5316 Dee inclination now T minus 30 minutes 5 seconds in counting at this point SpaceX is loading uh cenic helium to the pressure vessels on the Falcon 's first stage that process will begin on the second stage at about the T minus 26 minute mark taking a look at the live chat here I want to thank the nearly 2,000 of you who are joining with us live if you haven't already be sure to hit that like button for us that'd be greatly appreciated allows more folks to find their way into our live coverage tonight taking a look at the live chat here I want to thank rrj mgv for a apologies I not entirely sure what that type of currency is but appreciate the Super Chat nevertheless very much appreciate it thanks to channel member Josh king for a $5 Super Chat as well thank you Josh good to see you this evening morning whatever you want to call it haven't gone to bed yet so in my mind it's still evening and uh rocket profit thank you for gifting 10 space fine now memberships to our 10 newest channel members welcome aboard we're glad to have you with us e for whether intentional or not this particular booster 1069 is going to have an interesting distinction tonight assuming that the rest of the countdown proceeds well this will be the second time this year that this particular booster is supporting a return tolight Mission it was the starlink 10-9 flight that marked the return tolight last time when space Falcon 9 Fleet was grounded following the upper stage anomaly in mid July now this booster will have the distinction of bringing flights back after the vanderberg launch was pushed to the end of the window and this mission is on tap first so as we are awaiting its next return to flight Mission let's go ahead and take a trip down memory lane with some of the other lights that it's had since it's going for launch number 18 in just about 25 minutes as you can see the left hand side of your screen b169 is the tail number for this booster launching first on December 21st 2021 that was spacex's 24th Commercial resupply Services or crs4 Mission sending a cargo dragon with science and supplies up to the International Space Station was followed on August 28th 2022 the launch of this booster's first starlink mission that was starlink 4-23 launch number three was on October 15th when it launched the UIL sat satellite hotbird 13f it and another utel sat satellite will go on to replace the hotbird 8 n and 10 satellites at the company's 13° East position Al number four came on December 8th 2022 this was the launch uh number 15 for one web sending up a patch of satellites for its internet constellation manufactured right here on Florida Space Coast at the Airbus one web satellites facility launch number five came on February 2nd 2023 that was starlake 5-3 next up was a a Luxembourg based company sces there's satellites sces 18 and 19 which launched on March 17th and then from there to now we are in starlink land firmly we had starlink 5-6 on May 4th 5- 12 on June 23rd 6-9 on August 11th 6-19 on September 30th 6-26 on November 18th 6-36 on December 29th bring into this year 6-39 on February 25th 6-47 on April 5th 6- 57 on May 6th Starling 10-1 on June 8th and most recently it's starlink 10-9 on July 27th which of course brings us to today's launch operation starlink 8-10 21 starlinks on board currently T minus 22 minutes 48 seconds in counting just a couple minutes away from seeing the so-called big vent get underway for e for for and right on Q these so-called big vent is now beginning at the pad as they are ther conditioning the feed lines ahead of second stage locks load which will start at T minus 16 minutes for e for for for e currently tus 16 minutes 30 seconds in counting the big vent has tapered off on time as expected we're now just about 20 seconds away from second stage lock load beginning taking a look at the live chat want to uh thank a few folks for their support this evening thanks to andita for a $5 Super Chat one of our wonderful channel members good to see you this morning Lita who says hope you all know how much we appreciate all you two best Channel anywhere that is very high praise and certainly strive to live up to even a percentage of that type of admiration so thank you Gary Haynes another one of our wonderful channel members here the $10 Super Chat appreciate you give Gary for supporting us at That level Gary says keep up the great work space flight now team now that I'm officially retired I can watch Bora launches Live Well that is fabulous and congratulations on retirement I hope it is as wonderful and restful as your career was rewarding e as we are preparing to talk about the Falcon 9 rocket itself in a little bit more detail do want to give a uh specific shout to DJ rolling Rick for a $5 uh donation on the 1062 returning video that we published earlier this evening again if you haven't had a chance to check that out that's over on the channel right now working on getting a little bit longer video for the channel members as well showing the return of b162 but want to thank Rick for the support over there and uh the message he left saying what a huge surprise to randomly pick up and I can attest to this having heard the story on the other side uh huge surprise to randomly pick up Uber driver and space fight no fan my mother today thanks that was a fun drive and cheers yes it is a family visit kind of a week so in addition to all the happenings on the space front it's nice to have some family in town my brother the voice actor and uh his girlfriend are visiting us at the moment as well as my mother so it's a very full Robinson Smith household at the moment and uh just so happens that DJ rolling Rick happened to pick my mom up on an Uber this afternoon so small world now team minus 12 minutes 48 seconds in counting to the launch of this Falcon 9 rocket so before we go ahead and see this falcon fly let's talk a little bit more about the Workhorse vehicle for SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket stands at about 70 M or excuse me 229 ft tall when it has the payload fairings up top has a diameter of 3.66 M or 12 ft the majority of that is made up by the first stage the bottom 2/3 the rocket this particular booster 1069 has flown 17 times before looking for flight number 18 today at the base of the first stage are nine Merlin 1D engines which burn a combination of rocket grade kerosene and liquid oxygen and produce 1.7 million pounds of thrust around the engine compartment are the black carbon fiber Landing legs that will be used to land the first stage on the Drone ship just read the instructions above the first stage is the inter stage this is a composite structure consisting of an aluminum honeycomb core which is surrounded by carbon fiber in the image on the right you can see the Deployable Hypersonic grid fins these are titanium winglets that provide stability and steering for the Falcon 9 as it comes back through the atmosphere tail first like a big old Dart headed towards the Drone ship at the top of the inner stage are three mechanical latches that attach to the second stage at first stage manage and cut off highpressure helium is used to release those latches and forne numatic pushers ensure a clean separation also the second stage engine nozzle is housed safely inside the interstage adapter until stage separation speaking of that second stage the upper stage of the Falcon 9 powered by a single modified Merlin engine which is called a Merlin vacuum engine or an mvac engine it's equipped with a large nozzle which is optimized for Burns in the vacuum of space hence the name it produces more than 22,500 lbs of thrust and it will be fired twice on today's flight placing the 21 starlink satellites into their intended orbit the engine burns the same propellant mix rp1 and locks same as the first stage following the deployment of the Sterling satellites it will ignite for a third time as a deorbit burn helping to drive the upper stage back into the atmosphere where it will burn up and help eliminate the risk of creating any unnecessary space debris on this Mission finally at the top of the stack are the payload fairings that are encapsulating the 21 Starling satellites fairings are made up of a carbon composite material and stand 13.1 M or 43 ft tall and are 5.2 M or 17.1 ft in diameter two halves these payload fairings will be recovered a little bit further down range from where the first stage booster lands on the Drone ship just read the instructions as we talked about earlier they gently splash down under parachutes and like the booster they will be covered brought back with the intention of refurbishing them turning them around for future flights as SpaceX is working towards certifying both its first stage boosters as well as these payload fairings for up to 40 missions a piece now T minus 8 minutes 46 seconds in counting little less than 2 minutes now to the engine chill down sequence on the falcon9 merand 1D engines taking a look at the live chat first off I want to thank the more than 5,000 of you who are watching with us live if you haven't already we'd certainly appreciate it if you could hit that like button for us as we Cruising Into the final several minutes of the count it'll show the YouTube algorithm that folks are here happy and engaged and I'll bring some more folks hopefully into the fold who are either staying up late or getting up early to catch a falcon flight also want to thank Mr Jim Edgar for a very generous $50 Super Chat really appreciate the support at that level Jim it's good to see you again this evening morning whatever Jim says Jim eggar and leis Bean watching from snowwy Washington with the three cats hello to all the furry members of our audience the furry Felines and the good pups out there as well as you're waiting for this Falcon 9 departure we are once again joined by some Celestial views courtesy of our friend Pete Carson's with Max Q Productions taking a peek at some spectacular ring of our neighbor Saturn always great to have a little tour around the solar system neighborhood when the weather conditions permit and of course they're in the right part of the sky to be able to spot them R not t 6 minutes 43 seconds and counting the engent chill down sequence is now underway about 6 and a half minutes to the plan liftoff of this potential first of two Falcon Rockets tonight e we're currently T minus 5 minutes 16 seconds in counting little less than a minute away from the start of the the strong back retract sequence at the pad that will first start with the clamp arms underneath the payload fairings opening up and then the transporter erector with a strong back will recline about a degree and a half away from the falcon9 rocket stay in that position until lift off tanks suppressing for strong back retract no concerns on this one as well back lower has started some interesting audio bleed over a little bit more color than perhaps was intended on mission control audio there for just a second but it's good to hear the phrase no concerns in whatever context that was as you can see the clamp arms underneath the payload fairings and the SpaceX feed are opening up just a quick bit of housekeeping here you notice our countdown clock is slightly ahead of what you're seeing coming in from the Space X feed reason being our clocks are in real time SpaceX feed coming in on a slight delay so we'll be making the majority of our callouts based off of real time to obviously align with our cameras here on the ground we're now coming up with a 3 minute Mark which point point the Falcon 99's first stage locks tank should be done filling standing by for that call out stage one Pogo stage one locks load complete I hear that good call out from SpaceX last fueling Milestone the big one is stage two locks load complete which should be wrapping up in now less than 30 seconds stage two locks load complete and with that call out the Falcon 9 is now fully loaded with 1 million pounds of propellant what you're seeing here on your screen are the ground gas Closeouts gas launch close out toest started we are now just a hair over a minute away from this return to flight Miss for SpaceX after brief period where the Falcon fleet was grounded Falcon 9 now very much about to be back in business less than one minute to liftoff talk N9 is in startup good call from SpaceX there next call should be the SpaceX launch director giv their go for launch go for launch and with that this return to flight mission is just about 30 seconds away from taking flight 20 seconds 15 and here we go in 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 one engine ignition and liftoff of the Falcon 9 rocket on a return to flight Mission ascending from Cape canaval space force station the Falcon 9 has cleared the tower for [Music] [Music] bit of a challenging Ascent for the flight team climbing through some clouds but got some great views here Falcon Down rocket now passing through Max Q at the point of greatest aerodynamic pressure on the [Music] vehicle great shot from Pete now a little more than a minute and a half into flight coming up on a few different events in Fairly rapid succession here first we'll see first stage main engent cut off t plus 2 minutes to 26 seconds that'll be followed 3 seconds later by state separation and second stage engine start scs1 t plus 2 minutes and 36 seconds then the fairings will be deployed just about the 3 minute Mark right now SpaceX is thermally conditioning the Merlin vacuum engine for the beginning of its first burn on this flight less than 20 seconds away from Mo about 10 seconds and you have Mo stage separation should have yep there goes that Merlin vacuum mention can see the Hypersonic grid fins being deployed heo fairings being jettison see some nice reflection of those on the uh glow of the Merlin still visible on the big box now a little more than 3 and a half minutes into flight the next Milestone we're looking for is the start of the first stage entry burn it's coming up at t+ 6 minutes and 12 seconds good call from SpaceX for nominal trajectory so far again this first stage booster tail number 1069 is lifted off for an 18th time looking to make its 18th Landing here in just a few minutes well done Michael behind our tracking camera here at the Press site hard to keep it centered up when it's that far into flight great to still have a ground view of the Merlin vacuum Mansion as it continues to climb up hill pull away from Heep Canaveral now a little more than 5 minutes to flight we are less than a minute away from the start of the first stage entry burn beginning e coming up on the six minute into flight here just about 10 seconds from now in real time is when the entury burn will begin should see that on your screen in the coming seconds stage one FTS is saved stage one entry burn start up you see the start of that entry burn L about 23 seconds in total stage one entry burn shut down and a good conclusion of that first stage entry burn beginning coming up next is of course the landing burn starting right about at the 8 Minute mark stage one transonic falcon9 first stage now traveling below the speed of sound so far appears to be a smooth and on target type of mission coming upon that Landing burn now of course stage one Landing burn stage two toal Guidance just read the instruction in view stoy stage two FPS is safe and for an 18th time b169 is safely down on the Drone ship [Music] and SpaceX concluding the burn of the upper stage engine did hear a call out for nominal orbital insertion but presumably the Merlin vacuum engine was wrapping down its first burn that' be the nominal path for that upper stage they continue to monitor that of course await for deployment of those starlink satellites which is coming up at the t+ 1 Hour 3 minute 46 second Mark still potentially quite a busy night ahead or busy morning ahead however you want to frame it for space XS just double checking here it appears at this point that they are still targeting a liftoff of their other falcon9 rocket over at vanderberg space Force Base at 1:48 a.m. Pacific 448 a.m. eastern 448 UTC for those joining around the world of course start to bring the strong back into the upright position here pad 40 preparation for the next launch coming right around the corner get to close things out let's take a look at our mission stats as they currently stand given a good liftoff and landing of the falcon9 first stage this was as we mentioned the 18th Flight of b169 the 368th Falcon n launch today this was the 83rd falcon9 launch of 2024 the 311th Falcon booster reflight with a launch of a booster that has flown at least once this was spacex's 86th launch of 2024 including a falcon heavy flight back in June and a launch of two Starship missions from down in southern Texas this SpaceX is 120th orbital launch within the last 365 days the 203rd from pad 40 for SpaceX and the 258th overall orbital launch from that pad with that here is where the Falcon family bar chart currently stands just 12 needed now to tie the total number of Falcon launches over the course of all of 2023 moving on to some recovery stats this was the 90th land of a booster on the Drone ship just read the instructions the 268th SpaceX drone ship landing and the 342nd overall SpaceX booster Landing done successfully finally some industry stats this was the 61st orbital launch from Florida the 90th from us soil the 99th from us rocket company this marked the 158th orbit launch from around the world six launch mishaps so far here's where our pie chart currently stands T the cusp of reaching 100 Launches on the Year from all of the American launch providers China with 39 Russia with nine Japan with four India with three and Iran with two North Korea and the European Space Agency with one a piece course the other big mission that is out there hanging out concerns had over at launch complex 39a where a falcony it with a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft still sitting in the upright launch position here SpaceX is hoping to send four commercial astronauts up into lower Orbit on the Polaris Dawn Mission commanded by inspiration Force Commander Jared ISAC SpaceX has not publicly announced a new launch date yet for this mission the biggest impediment to launching this one though as some may recall is the weather not during the launch itself but at the end of the mission when they are getting ready to splash down off the coast of Florida want to have good safe conditions for the astronauts as they're making the return and since this is a free flying Mission and not one heading up to the International Space Station for example got a little bit more of a rigid timeline for return here unfortunately the circumstances are not such that they can just hang out on orbit kind of need to wrap up once their five days are done and with that we're going to go ahead and close out our live stream here with this particular Mission want to thank everyone for taking part of their day to spend with us either watching with us live or you happen to be catching this on a replay glad you made it all the way through to the end of this video or this live stream however you're watching this right now again still got our eyes on vanderberg to see if SpaceX is indeed in a position to make this a true double header this morning if that is in fact the case you can catch us over on our second live stream 30 minutes before liftoff on the star link 9-5 Mission want to thank our wonderful Channel member Community here on YouTube for helping support us here space flight now thanks to our wonderful moderators Stephanie B and kalisti Lee to our photography team and friends of chucka chin Briggs with C&J images to Pete Carson's with Max Q Productions our photographer Michael Kane s behind the tracking camera today our editor Stephen young writing the technical operations of the broadcast but the biggest Thanks goes to you for wherever you're watching from your time and attention is a very valuable thing and we appreciate you sharing some of that with us today for all of us here at space flight now I'm Will Robinson Smith remember be good to yourselves be good to others and we will see you next time and until then folks bye-bye for
