hello and welcome back to almost influencers I'm your host Britney Christine I'm your other host Jess Alexander okay Jess how do you feel after your many travels um I'm so tired today I [ __ ] bet dude and I adjusted to Atlanta time mhm so I got back Sunday night and I was laying there and it was like 99 and it was I was fighting to not sleep like fighting hard and I'm like girl it is no it was earlier than that I think it was like 8:30 and I was just like girl you we have to put like pull it together for two more hours and then I couldn't figure it out and I was like oh I guess I it is like 11:30 which is like a reasonable bedtime but I was there for a week and a half dude I was like I've been thinking about it and I'm like it has to be so strange because you you now have this kind of like part-time life in Atlanta how does that feel I like it yeah I like Atlanta Atlanta is so pretty and everyone in Atlanta is so nice and I'm like making friends with people and I'm like knowing places now and you're be so proud of me I went to the grocery store I hate the grocery store and the whole time I was a brat about it and I was just like I hate it here I hate it at the grocery store I hate that [ __ ] so much I hate the grocery store I don't do it I literally I pay $5 to $20 extra to have it delivered to me okay this is what you need to do yeah I pay $100 for the year okay and you get exclusive coupons and you get all this stuff and they tell you every month this is how much you've saved by this time like per year I've saved over $1,000 wellsh [ __ ] dog I should probably do that yeah I pay for Uber X or Uber Plus or whatever the [ __ ] it's supposed to um but that's cuz I Uber so much I was going to say so like that 5% actually does add up so but yeah do you use instacart no I use whatever van Von has like a fresh pass oh I'm going to have to look into I need to $100 for the whole year interesting because when you pay it you're like this is stupid expensive it is and so at V like when you go to pay it for the year you're like this is stupid $100 like [ __ ] you and then you get all these perks and then you think about it and it's like you break it down I broke it down monthly for myself and I was like well I if I this is what it costs to not go to the grocery store that's fine yeah for the month it's so over stimulating in there dude it is and it's lighting exactly and like I always forget what I need to be there for like why am I here I'm I'm a list maker I'm a list girl I like lists but then what if you didn't put everything on your list list and what if when you're there this is what I don't want to happen you're there and you go oh this looks really good MH and then you think of another meal plus I'm not used to cooking for multiple people yeah because even though I am very much in a relationship since it's long distance I live as a single person yeah because I live alone and it's just like I we spent I think it ended up being like $120 on groceries mhm and within a few days I was like where's all over our food yeah and it's like oh right cuz two people are eating this yeah and like it adds up fast yeah and I know this sounds so but I haven't been in like a relationship like this for four years so it's just like oh right like when you grocery shop for two people it's going to be outlandish think about yeah and you can't just go oh well it's 4:00 and I'm really hungry right now I guess I can have like an old person dinner at 4:00 and then like have a like a snack later or something like that and it's not like wait when are you getting home from more that was a big thing too when are you getting home from work oh okay cuz there was you have this whole new little life it's so well there was one day that like he left or he was going to be gone all day and I knew it like going into it and I had this weird cold everything worked out really well I had this weird cold that I like it hit me when I was on the plane so the next day I was exhausted and I ended up crashing and taking like a 2 and a half hour nap and there were some things like at the house that needed to be done that I'm like I'll just do this and then it was like oh I guess I'll watch my little show and make myself some food and then when are you going to be home oh like 9: oh and then we'll eat oh okay cool yeah and it was just like oh yeah this is like what it's like to have a living partner is that it's like what's your schedule like today cool this is my schedule totally yeah you're like eternally factoring someone else in it's like this whole like different like mental load that you now have to like learn how to keep up with basically well you have two people that you have to do that with oh I mean I feel like I have more than that between like friends and stuff keeping up with their like when can I see them well CU we haven't even H out no I know we haven't no I was thinking now that well now I'm the one leaving town but after I get back we have to do a dinner we have to do a dinner we do when do you get back um I get back on the 16th okay great because I'm going back on the 3 okay we got plenty of time right plenty of time to like actually see each other right we have what two weeks two and a half weeks my Jesus um why wait why are you going back so soon I'm memorial for his brother oh okay sad sad stuff yeah so um I have to be there yeah you cannot and then my mom oh my God my mom was like well um I really want to go to Chattanooga cuz her best friend lives in Chattanooga and it's 2 hours away from Atlanta and she goes well I want to go to Chattanooga and I was like okay and then she's like well does he have to work and I said yeah you know it's not like we could just be like cool let's just all go so then she goes well what if we just come to Atlanta so my mom my stepdad came to Atlanta and then she kept asking me like well where's this where I'm like girl I don't know yeah like I don't like we went to the really cute lunch spot and she's like what part of town is this and I go I'm not that familiar with area I know I know certain I know certain areas and I'm like oh this is this or oh I'm recog I'm starting to recognize places now like we went somewhere and I go oh I know where we are yeah and he was like yeah that's I have to figure out especially if you're semi often um in Chattanooga there's this one one bar that I went to that I need you to go to that they had like deep fried moon pies which is an insane thing which I could literally only have one bite of but you have you have to try it I want to try it and like the drinks were like pickle themed I think if I remember calling correctly you I still need to have pickle martinis yes yes we do um yeah I know it was super I I love Chattanooga that's where my dad lived great right before he moved to Alabama and I am going to Alabama at 4:00 in the morning tomorrow yikes why do you so early cuz my dad picks the flight he he's paying for the flight so like he picked it whatever he has he's been um flying Delta for like a [ __ ] like decade and a half so he has all this all these points and [ __ ] and so I'm just like whatever you tell me I'm doing is what I'm doing cuz I'm not paying for it when do you sleep on the plane most people can sleep on the plane do you not take something no I can't because what I take is like a sedative right so I need I'm like when I take it I'm like I am not going to be a human for the next hours I feel you yeah I can't take drugs on a plane I used to because my travel anxiety used to be so high that I would as soon as we sat down I would have to take a pill and they knock me out but that was when I was traveling with somebody so in yeah that case like I like I wasn't sedated but I was like very heavily like sleepy you know there was like two days ago where I went out um for like a late dinner like 8:00 or 9:00 at night or something and then I have to get my kid up at 6:00 in the morning and so I got home at let's say like midnight or 1 took my pill then had to get up 5 hours later and my eyes were bloodshot I was so sluggish like it's just like it's a sedative so if I don't have eight full hours where I can sleep then I'm like it's as bad as if I didn't sleep yeah well that's the thing that it's like with some sleeping pills and I know this like not the same but when I take my allergy pill and I don't I sleep less than like six hours it's same thing like forget about my whole body feels like it's made out of like iron y I just can't move oh my god there was one day where I woke up and I was so exhausted I could not shake it like at all um went to work with him and there's like a big couch cuz he like Works in an actual like legitimate recording studio there's this like big couch where he in this like one room where he was and I was like I think I'm just going to like close my he's like yeah close your eyes like whatever and cuz I could fall asleep anywhere I just can't stay asleep but like I can fall I can knock out anywhere so I'm like I just pass out I'm just so tired and he goes are you good like why are you so tired and I said oh it's my allergy pill it's my allergy pill went to Hot Yoga with him had an awesome time as we're sitting there um like afterwards I start to feel like weird pressure in my ears and I was like oh it's probably because I was sick and like my sinuses in the hot room or whatever and he made some joke to me and I can't even remember what the joke was oh I think he told me to calm down about something and I can't even remember what it was but I took it super personally which doing that [ __ ] sometimes right and even 10 minutes later I was like I know he wasn't like you're being annoying calm down but it was just you know like we were joking around and he was like I'm really sorry like I'm I swear to God I'm not trying to be mean to you and I was like no it's fine you know but I'm sitting here going why are you so and as we're eating I start to get the pain in the back of my head and then it starts to go forward and I told them I go I'm getting a migraine right now just a heads up cuz as we're eating I got a whiff of the food and I did I was like I'm going to throw up so like whatever go back to that same couch cuz we ended up going back to work he's like I have to work for an hour I was like fine go back to some I had one of the worst migraines I've ever had in my entire life but okay so imagine I'm wearing I bought the cutest set to do hot yoga in it's like I would never typically wear this color but it's like pumpkin spice like brownish red which I typically wouldn't ever buy but it's so cute and Target's got super cute sets right now and it's like these cute little high-waisted bike shorts and like a cute like kind of longer sports bra so like if you have big boobs it's actually good know it's like really cute so I'm like wearing this I like take my sweater off cuz I'm so hot I'm just only wearing this and I'm walking around Barefoot in the studio I hate being Barefoot it's like I also hate being Barefoot right it's the worst it's like 11:30 at night and I go and I have these pills but they're in my Cosmetics bag in my purse so I have to like cover my eyes and I walk over to him and he's like are you okay and I said no I said I'm going to throw up and so we had to unlock this bathroom I was like I'm going to throw up and I need you to get my migraine pills I was like they're in a little like silver thing in this bag in a bag like whatever and he's like okay and he's like scrambling through it like whatever I go in the bathroom throw up come back out and he's holding a too Chico and my pill and is just like whatever and so I'm so embarrassed even though there's really nothing to be embarrassed about but you know like when you're like having a migraine everything is the worst thing ever and like you're being a baby and you're being whatever completely takes care of me and I text my sister the next day and she's like oh yeah first migraine is like a real bonding moment I was like I was [ __ ] you were sick like yeah and it's like you have to like see how your partner is going to react in those moments and it's very telling and like indicative of like the future of your relationship but of anybody I think I have a theory that people show you who they are when they're really drunk or really sick I mean yeah like oh god there was this one time I had this awful stomach flu I've never had anything like it before or since it was a couple months ago and um Michael was here cuz he was getting up with the baby so it was like his turn um whatever and um he I was on the floor because it was the only cool place that I could find wor and I was I'd stopped being able to make it to the bathroom because I just like physically couldn't even crawl there anymore so I had a towel that I had just bundled up and would vomit into while I laid on the floor that's so sad and he comes in he's getting ready for work or whatever and he sees me there and he's just like why didn't you wake me up and I was like I don't know I figured I could handle it yeah yeah it was bad dude I I don't know if it was food poisoning or if it was just some like wild stomach bug but I um it was the worst because it was like just that dry heaving like there's nothing even left anymore and your stomach hurts like your muscles hurt mhm everything hurt your esophagus is [ __ ] oh that's the worst feeling and like you don't think you're ever going to feel better again no dude it's like you're like this is forever oh yeah I remember laying there and I felt like someone had like cut my head open with like a pickaxe and I was just like this is just it yeah and I thought for two seconds while I'm laying there I was like I'm having a brain aneurysm and then I thought no you wouldn't be able to think this thought if you were having one because I remember all these doctors being like it's the worst pain of your life cuz that's a fear that I have and they're like it's the worst pain of your life and like whatever and I'm like but you need to tell me the worst pain of my life is because I get really bad migraines and like you know but you have to like talk yourself down when you're that sick where you're like I will stop throwing up yeah at like it reminded me of um labor I was like this feels like contractions like every x amount of minutes I'm just heaving and everything's like tightening and releasing people throw up from the pain from contractions I did multiple times did you mhm yeah I couldn't keep anything down I couldn't drink water um nothing I vomited the entire time and they don't tell you that they that's not like they'll tell you that you're going to like [ __ ] yourself or something but no one tells you about the vomiting yeah that's no one I keep hearing certain things from women and they're like oh no this is a very normal thing that happens you're like why didn't anybody tell me this yeah I also was just like so hot so I just I started at um a birth center ended up in a hospital um but I just kept making the birth center like decrease and decrease and decrease the temperature cuz I was like every time I contract it's like I'm in like 110 degree weather why I don't know guess body's working overtime or something but I needed it so cold yeah I wonder if that's why like some people like water births too it's just because like I spent a lot of time in the bath but it didn't help that much why do people I mean I know I've heard the thing where they're like oh the baby's transition from inside to outside is easier which I could see but I mean is it like a comfort thing too I just hate being wet yeah I think that there's a comfort level to it but there's just the part where I'm just like it's just a little woowoo I think people are just like they just like the idea of like I had a water Burg listen I love woowoo I love that stuff but I mean I feel like when the time comes if I ever have a kid it's like well I had um uterine exhaustion is what it's called so basically I labored too long and my uterus gave up it was like we're not uh your cervix is no longer going to diate because you're too tired um so I stalled at 9 and 1 12 CM and for about 8 hours so I experienced like the peak of like labor pain for that amount of time until I was finally my Midwife was like this is not normal and you need to go to a hospital and so they popped me over to the hospital did not call me an ambulance by the way I was just going to ask how did you get to the hospital did you just like get in somebody's Cora oh my god um while you're in the worst pain of your life and like you don't know if like I'm going to find maybe that like last proba freaking out too like who knows if that like last little centimeter like happened in the car and I just popped the baby out there that would have not been great oh my God the baby's just born on the 405 that happened so much and there you know there was a complication there where this is a fun other thing that they don't tell you the baby can [ __ ] inside you for the first time like their first bow movement can be inside you which causes infections and also causes their um Airways to block um so that had happened so imagine that he came out with his Airways blocked while I was in the car so that yeah that caused a lot of upset between us and the birth center after that um but no the second I got there I was like can I just like get pin or something so we can get this we can get this moving along that's what makes you do it right and they were like no because every time you contract the baby's heart rate like stalls it like declines which means that the um cord was around his neck how does that happen I don't know flipping around in there that's what no I'd like don't know yeah yeah um and so I was like fine epidural epidural right now and um I Heard getting that is really painful they missed so I they had to poke me twice with a big ass needle in my spine and um you also can't move and like let's remember I'm at 9 and a half centimet dial like or yeah so like I'm feeling those types of contractions and you can't move while they're injecting you um but the second that that [ __ ] epidural hit my uh uterus was like finally we can relax cuz we're not in Crazy pain and the last little lip of um like dilation like happened and I gave birth within the next like 10 minutes wild M wild it's a fun story you know what's crazy I don't tell it to anyone pregnant or to new moms you should tell it to pregnant people it depends on like cuz some people just really don't want that type of like negativity in their head of like they don't want to like maybe spark anxiety of like this bad thing could happen to me so I just like if they said like I've had women be like no I want to know everything to every possibility and I've also had women be like no I don't I don't want to hear it see the way that I the way that my brain goes with anything like I want to know I was hanging out we talk about Caitlyn everyone so I was hanging out with Caitlyn a couple weeks ago and I can't remember what was said but I said something along oh there was a fire reported on Citizen and I had to look and I made the joke that I had to look and see where it was and she was like she was like oh that's crazy and then I said something about yeah I always have to just make sure it's not near my apartment or at my apartment and like knock on wood because she's is like she goes why do you always imagine the worst case scenario and she has anxiety so she's asking me like as someone who gets it and I was like I think about fire all the time yeah like I I that's just I think of worst case scenario and then I think worst case scenario happened let's backtrack so I have a plan for when it does happen it's also an OCD thing oh a th% yeah when I when I was diagnosed with that I was like aha mhm that's you know yeah know that's a that's a fun symptom of we love to map all of the like every possible negative thing that could happen I'm sorry but like I saw someone make a meme that was like I'm sorry I can't take the left cup or else my whole family will die yeah and they were making a joke and I go you don't understand though that's how it works like that's seriously how it works like if I didn't knock on the wood just then and like sit there and like do this it's like no that bad thing will happen I'm sorry I I and then you think about it and you're like do you really have so many superpowers that like you can Will these things to happen but it doesn't matter your brain it can't make the distinction um oh I had a question yes cuz I sent you this thing on Tik Tok like a week ago and we had a short discussion about it in our DMS but not really I sent you this Tik Tok and it was this girl kind of acting out like a little scene between her and her friend right and she was just like hey like talking to her imaginary friend and she was like exactly what you're talking about I just have noticed that like you're not like engaging with my my like content on Instagram like you haven't like liked or commented on any photos or like harded any of my Instagram stories and I just think that that's like you know really interesting or whatever and the girl being like Oh yeah I'm just like busy or I'm not as online as much or something like that and she's just like oh well okay like I just I guess I don't really feel supported by you or like like you like me that much and like everyone in the comments was like agreeing and they were like yeah like that's miss me with that type of friendship of like basically being like Oh that's a fake friend yeah and I'm like is this just because we're old you know what the relief I felt when I knew your response to that because I've really been like this is a whole other Rabbit Hole to go down but I've really been trying to like not scroll on social media yeah because and I unfollowed a bunch of things and then I followed a bunch of really stupid [ __ ] I mean you see the memes that I send you stupid [ __ ] which is the point you know because I was like my mental health is not in the best place like my I'm out of concussion recovery which is great but I yeah but it really messed with my depression and just like everybody that I love is in a weird transition period right now which is beautiful for everyone when we all get out of this but it's just whatever and so I haven't been scrolling yeah and then I know people are posting things and when they pop up I will like them or I will comment or whatever but I know my friends are posting things that I don't see I wasn't watching stories for the longest time and out as soon as I see a news article or like something that makes me feel like a certain way I'm like I'm off Instagram why am I even here so yeah I thought like for two seconds I was like oh God is she trying to tell me that I'm not I'm like I was like did she like post something that I didn't see and like but I know you're not like that but like you know I no it's it's a valid concern cuz like especially when you're already having a little anxiety of like oh I'm missing things and then for someone to be like maybe potentially being like you're missing things and like now I feel some type of way about it I just feel like that is I don't know I have this opinion about friendships where I'm like look I value my friends so much they are literally my family I want to see them as often as I can like I like to see you once every week to two weeks um my friend Amy normally is more like once a month cuz like she just doesn't have that type of schedule um Sarah I see probably about once a week especially because now I'm giving her her shots um and like I very much do value our time together but I think that friendships should be low maintenance yeah like if I don't text you back right away or at all even like if it takes me a day or two to get back to like that should be okay because we're adults with emergency like I don't know I mean I like I've texted people things at like you know midnight and I'm like I know they're sleeping and if I don't hear from them for two days that's fine yeah if it's not an emergency yeah no if I get the SOS text I'm like oh okay like I'm on it but if it's like um oh you know I thought I was going to have sushi for dinner but I've actually chosen like I think I'm going to get Taco Bell I'm not necessarily going to respond to that text but like also we don't really text like that no but I do have friends that like yeah and so I'm like love you to death yeah I'm not going to engage with the live tweeting of your life right now right but I love you so much it doesn't like just because I'm not engaging with it doesn't mean I don't love you I just think that like it needs to be convenient you know what I mean yeah and I think that I don't know I think that like I don't know I think that you and I put so much stock in like physically being with someone you know that it's just like sure you and I don't have that much of a text relationship we don't really no but like we text and DM things that like I don't feel less close to you at just oh Jess we're going to yeah whatever it's like you know I um I'm having sushi with Marty later his birthday was on the 20th and like we didn't get to do anything for his birthday cuz he was working I was in Albuquerque and then I came back and then it was like whatever remember on my birthday when you were gone and you iced me yeah yeah okay just making sure you remember I remember I will remember that forever because it goes hand in hand with me feeling terrible for not oh God I still feel bad about that I know you didn't care but I was just like so excited for your birthday and I'm like wait a week later yeah so least I could do was ICU I completely agree and my favorite part of it was that um Alana wasn't filming and so we had to or someone wasn't filming may it was Michael Michael wasn't filming and so we had to completely redo the scene yeah and like we were like dead pan like just underacting like exactly what we had said but that made it funnier no it did no I loved it yeah it was super fun um but yeah no I I put way more stock into like my one-on-one time with people and that's not to say that I like don't put any stock into like a texting relationship I do if someone like really truly has not texted me back in like a week or something I'm like is there an issue well totally and I think that if I don't know I think that if if you're promoting something on social media and it's like a really big deal and you're like hey can you interact with this just to keep the post active I'll my friends if I do like a sponsorship or something I'm like hey can you make me look good oh my god I've done this with clips from this podcast like I've been like hey like especially when we launched it I was like hey can you repost this because it's like you I think I like to repost my friends art and like things and you know like I don't know my boyfriend's a [ __ ] musician and he'll like put out a music video and it's like I want I'll repost it and it's like but I do the same thing with my friends like if I've Got Friends that own small businesses or we'll do like like these popups and I'm like I'll re it takes two seconds to repost something and it's like just to get a completely new audience on something and like we know how algorithms work and whatever but you know if I'm going to just post a picture of like here's this coffee I had today and like you don't interact with it it's not going to I'm not even going to notice exactly like I just I don't know and plus plus I think people do the internet so many different ways mhm and like we've made the joke that we're posting like it's 2014 again like on Instagram and it's like I just do dumps dude like I'll I'll post stories and my [ __ ] story views are so low Instagram is not a fan of my account especially with my only fan stuff yeah I post literally like once a month I'm like oh these are my favorite photos my favorite 10 photos from the past month yeah here you go bye great see you again in a month exactly yeah I don't know I don't know either um I also had another gripe which I think I think you're going to be so on my side with this um do you just I sent it to you this morning on Tik Tok that like compilation of like Lane Kim moments from Gilmore Girls okay bro I was literally watching Gilmore Girls while I was getting ready this morning because it's fall and we have to yeah I need to restart yeah okay it's such [ __ ] what they did to her character it is and just so you know where I'm at it was the episode where um it was after uh Chris and Laura get married mhm and it was the episode where um Christopher is like let's have a baby and Laura's like I don't want to do this immediately and she's being such a brat about Emily trying to B like plan this big reception while at the same time Rory uh is like oh yeah by the way Logan um I'm acting like me and Marty don't know each other and Logan just completely outs her dinner and um her best friend gets mad at her and I'm sitting here going like everyone on the show sucks you know it's just so funny because that's where what is her name Amy shman Paladino yeah um where she like obviously at that point had like fallen off or got fired or quit or something like that it's I think to my knowledge the studio she had really big disagreements with what the studio is doing so she's like bye was it you who sent me cuz you've been sending me all these deep Dives of this one girl who does like the like five like 10-minute deep Dives and she's a writer and she like goes from writer perspective and um she was showing clips of Laur not Laur um Lauren Graham like her interviews where Lauren Graham like had to defend the choice of her marrying Christopher her character marrying Christopher and then you know her talking about it years later and them being like Oh yeah you defended this and she's like I don't agree with that decision she was like you know I had to promote the show of course yeah yeah yeah cuz no it's just like it was the worst Choice it made no sense you're so and you're so right and back to what you were saying that it's just like there's so many choices on these shows that like make me so angry as himim is like just like they made you know her character important in like the first two seasons when Rory is like really young Lane is like a you know actually like good character on the show and then they didn't know what to do with her mhm so they're like we're going to take this character who has drive and ambition and wants more for herself and is talented and like just like a go-getter is very much like Laura Li in the sense that she just does not want the life that her mother has mhm so worked so hard to set up for her yeah and we don't even see Mrs Kim as a VI as a I don't want to see victim what the villain is what I was going to say is that she in the clip like in that Montage where she was like every like my mom worked so hard like for me she did everything for me so Lane even recognizes that Mrs Kim is busting her ass yeah as she was a single mother let's I know they like had her dad show up in the Revival or whatever but yeah but it was just like no Mr was not around but like she was a single mother trying so hard to keep her kid healthy and keep her even though you know like I'm not religious but keep her kid you know like and they married her off at like 18 or 19 or something like that or may was 20 and um knocked her up and there's this awful scene in the very beginning of the clip that I sent you um where she's talking to Zach and I think it's right after she like found out she's pregnant or something and she goes I barely got to do it she's like I barely had any time to do the things that I wanted to do to like be my own person and she's like now I live with these two guys I'm pregnant um the band's basically done right and I'm just like what did we do here we just like [ __ ] murdered her character for no reason for no reason for no reason cuz um there was no reason that she couldn't like end up being like at least like a smalltime success with her music career well I think that's the issue where when like so many shows are like we're going to make them we're going to make them a singer we're going to make them a musician and it's like I don't do you watch Emily and Paris I have seen I think the first two seasons and I don't need to watch anymore I had to stop because once she [ __ ] the miner on the like Vineyard or whatever I was like I forgot I was pretty much out yeah I was like why are we doing this and it didn't matter for the storyline at all like at all completely for wasn't he like he was like 16 yeah yes I completely forgot about that it was so weird so weird just strange writing choices for that show and I couldn't do anymore well surprisingly that's not where I had to stop I stopped where um where her friend who is a cute character um her I'm I think she's American like one American that she found over there um so cute like such a good actress I forget who she like what her name is but she's she was in something else that I liked and she's cute and she's they're like she's like I want to be a singer and at one point she was like singing on the streets in par Paris and she had this little band and they were like shooting it like it was a music video and I go I'm out like I'm [ __ ] out anytime like a show tries to be like oh it's like a music video and like I'm out they did it with Gilmore Girls like when they were on spring break and then that band was playing and they like shot it like it was like I literally skip that scene every time it's the worst and so I guess like said like say that to say that like yeah they could have the band's going going going just be like yeah they went on tour yes like yeah it's just it drives me insane that she was like I want out of this small town so bad it is my one dream is to get out of this small town and like be something and they locked her into this small town and made her nothing and locked him in with it because it's like if you think about it like think about these people from your hometown and like this girl that you know who's like really good in band and is really smart and really sweet you know what like gave me chills because I know that girl yeah she was um like not valid valid dictorian but like up there and um brilliant musician she was in banned the entire time um so sweet pretty uh got pregnant stayed in her hometown didn't go to college exactly and that's exactly what happened to Lane and I love how Lane I'm sorry but that speech was so heartbreaking and I know it was in that Montage when she was talking to her mom and she's like I'm so sorry like I don't want to lie to you anymore I've been doing this since I was six like I I have this plan like I want and I love so much when Mrs Kim is like like her their hype man and she's like I set up a tour for you I got you a tour like all this like and she's on their asses about writing songs she's like I didn't raise a quitter exactly and Mrs she's like I don't agree with your choices but if you're going to make those choices you're going to commit to them exactly you're going to be the best yeah and I love how that's the push that like Zach needed like that's the push and like Brian is just off you know doing his what real estate or like yeah just doing like whatever and um but that's the push Zach needed too we don't know anything about his parents and when he wanted to get married to Lane he was like oh this is like you know my bank account and I'm I'm manager at the store now and she's like but are you going to write a hit yes are you going to pursue your dreams are you going to support Lane doing music like well and it's like when we see in the The Wedding episode how Mrs Kim like buted heads with her mom because think about it Mrs Kim like came to the United States to Stars Hollow why the [ __ ] are you in this small ass [ __ ] town how did you get here and you opened up an antique store and changed her religion from Buddhist to Christian yep exactly changed her religion um probably well she went to that all girl she went to college so smart you have to be so smart to run not only a small business but an antique store and really successful in this tiny ass [ __ ] town praying on the tourist and I mean this in a good way so like she's like yeah if you want to divert from this formula that I've created for you good job yeah do it and then they're like oh no now we're going to get her pregnant yeah they just [ __ ] threw babies at her you know and I was watching the episode where Liz had her baby why why are they just everybody's having babies I don't know dude like and then April shows up like why do we need more kids yeah yeah and I understand April's the worst I know it's not her fault she's just a kid but God she was the worst her character is the worst and it's so funny because like like I think that actress when the Revival came out was like in some interview or something and she even said she goes oh no she was the worst I knew her actress um from switch to birth I think that's what the show is called yeah where like um they switch they accidentally got switched to the hospital and like one is like a deaf girl and then I forgot about that show yeah I was obsessed with it when I was trying to learn sign language oh my God yeah I forgot about that show yeah I mean it's not a good show it's one that like should have capped out at like the first or second season and then it didn't know what it was doing so it was just like we're just going to talk about racy topics like you know what I was thinking you know how like British shows a lot of time we'll do like one or two seasons and then they're done we don't need shows that go on for like 10 20 years I really appreciate it when it doesn't like flea bag is perfect it is perfectly time perfectly like ended like it did not we all want more and she never she will never do more because it she shouldn't cuz the story is told it's done exactly yeah exactly and I respect that so much but it's like then you see shows like the office mhm you didn't need to keep going see that needed to end at a certain point too scrubs is another good example it like had like kind of a spin-off last season after it had like it's kind of series finale and it ended really well and then they were like no we're going to do kind of like a reboot thing where now the Proto are like now like good exactly it's like we don't this isn't a small business that we need to keep going I mean it is and it's why I stopped watching handmaid's taale was because I was reading an article after like the maybe fourth season or something and the show Runners were like oh we're going to keep going for literally as long as we can why and I was like oh you have no idea what you're doing this story and that's why it keeps getting a little watered down so I'm going to see myself out see exactly and like I don't watch grz and adab but wasn't it's like been on for like over 20 years at this point I understand that it's a soap opera and they just why like why are we doing this like what hardcore stands who are going to tune into every episode well it's like of course we know because it's it generates money like it's that's just what it is like it's it is a small business like it but at the same time it's just like we don't need to like I'm also rewatching Breaking Bad perfect I I I admire that you can do that because like that show stressed me out so that is not a rewatch show for me you know I watched it all the way through the first time like 10 years ago and then well like last year I was like I think I want to restart it from the beginning and I was feeling really anxious and depressed and couldn't figure out why and I was like I think it's cuz this is all I've been watching and I stopped and then um when obviously when we went to Albuquerque that was the background show that we put on like when I was getting ready or like whatever and then when I was there when I was in Atlanta it was like oh why don't we just throw Breaking Bad on mhm and it was like that or South Park I mean I love South Park I love South Park it's there's nothing I love South Park always I will always watch South Park cancel me for it I don't care I love it yeah if people if people are like do you want to yeah I do yes pop it on always always some people are like that with Family Guy and I I respect you and your choices but I don't understand it you know I remember being so anti-family guy and being like this is stupid and watching the South Park episode about Family Guy and being like this is I'm Cartman in this situation this is I don't understand what's funny about this and then in like probably it wasn't the bit that it was just like a creature in like a ball pit that's just like picking out random topics and like throwing it into a skit yeah cuz it was like it it's all Peter being like this is like the time we whatever and then it flashes to that and it's like and it's just completely it's like if AI if you just like made it like threw it into Ai and it's like what what random thing are we going toir part is that Seth McFarland like is a talented person like the voices that he does he's a great singer he's a great Entertainer like but it's just like he just he's also like a 14-year-old boy and I think that the thing with South Park is that um did you watch the episode about the school shootings is it newer like a couple years ago probably not then cuz i' I've fallen off in recent years same so I I went back to it and I was like there's like years of episodes that I have not seen of the show that I say that I love like I think like I pretty much the last time that I like really sat down and watched it would have been when Hillary Clinton was running for yeah right it was yeah so um this this episode of South Park is it even ends with the hash cancel South Park but it ends with or no It's the episode is like there's a shooting at the school the kids school everyone's acting totally normal as like the cops come in the FBI comes in they're literally trying to do math problems like on the board and uh Stan's mom comes home or you know talks comes to the school and it's like freaking out and screaming and oh my God this thing happened and everyone's just like okay and just really chill about it so then she goes home and they're at the dinner table and she's like do you want to tell your dad what happened today and he goes uh I failed my math test and she goes no the other thing and then you know it's like not a big deal to anybody and the whole episode she's losing her mind and screaming at everybody and she's like why are you not more concerned and that's the best thing about South Park is that it's just like she is like the voice of Society while everybody else at the same time yeah where it's like so many people are like yeah we know like this is a normal thing and it's like why is this normal and it's like she is literally screaming at everyone being like ripping her hair out Y and it's I don't know it's so good and everyone else is like I don't know dude this happened two days ago like that's literally what they're saying and then it happens again and then like I it's so dark so I won't say it but there's like one point where it's like Randy is talking to a paramedic and because his whole thing is he's just like oh Sharon do you think you're going through premenopause M and she's like it's not menopause so then he's like talking to this paramedic at the school about oh yeah I think my wife's going through man and it's just like that's what everyone's blaming her freak out on and it's like when her freak out is Justified oh 100% And it's just I don't know I love South Park they're smart about it I guess I should say yeah no I think it's super clever like obviously yes it is often times incredibly offensive but it's self-aware at the same time like the they're sometimes the joke is that it's not a joke like I don't know how to describe it better like the joke is that like oh I would never say this thing this is so offensive that I would never say it right yeah and they're always nine times out of 10 they're on the right side of History too cuz you remember the episode with Britney MH where the boys were trying to protect her yeah and like um do you know about the man bear pig thing with Al Gore yes yeah like do you know about the episode that they did again with man bear pig and like it rings a Bell okay so basically manbear Pig one of the most famous episodes El Gore is freaking out and everyone else is like not believing him that manbear pig is real I didn't realize until later that that was supposed to be like Al Gore freaking out about climate change and everyone being like we don't see anything we don't believe you and he was like you guys like whatever so then I think in the same season that I was watching maner Pig shows up and uh stanner Kyle is like I saw it it's real and Al Gore shows up and he's like Oh I thought you guys didn't believe me I didn't think that you guys thought it was real and they're like no it's actually destroying our town yeah and I saw this interview with Al Gore and they were like what do you think about how you're depicted on South Park and he goes oh they actually Al Gore is filming them and he goes so say you're sorry say Al Gore was right and it's like say and the kids have to say it and so he's like I loved it cuz he's just like they realize that climate change is actually happening and it's a real thing and they made everybody apologize to me on the show and he was like I just thought it was really clever like see yeah no I think the only time that I can think of where they were like actually dogging on someone was a when um the voice actor for Chef was doing his whole thing and they were like cuz he was a Scientologist and so then that inspired future anti- Scientologist episodes so obviously they are not um in good standing with that community and I think that's great that's great yeah and Mormons M oh yeah yeah yeah yeah but really with Mormons they depicted them as the nicest people I know yeah and then they're just like what you believe is dumb uhhuh I actually don't think that they like crazy dogged them they really didn't because they made the Mormon family like the sweetest kindest most loving family I'm so sad that I never got to see that the book of morm book of Mor that'll come back yeah um well I guess that kind of naturally leads us into our big topic all we all we've been doing is talking about TV I love it I'm like flab GED that I've not seen any Tik toks and I guess that nobody is talking about nobody's talking about chimp crazy dude nobody is talking about it and I'm like this is the craziest [ __ ] that I've literally seen since Tiger King which is the same like um documentarian yeah um my mind is blown it's insane I'm going insane I am caught up okay I was just listening to the podcast episode when you got here o I need to listen to that um yeah it's done that's it that's not it yeah it's it dog but how that's it it's last episode but how we don't know what happened what yeah we kind of know what happened dides she go to jail oh yeah I don't know I don't know maybe maybe they just had to wrap it up I guess we should start at the beginning right we should so okay basically chimp crazy I thought was going to be about a bunch of people who were super into having chimps and exotic pets that's what I thought too yeah mhm and then it takes a turn do you remember Tonka from movies like I I like I think that that was just like a yeah it was just like a weird time in my life cuz what did it those movies were coming out in like the '90s right so I think I just kind of I might have seen them but maybe they didn't like stick in my brain so cuz I recognize that actor guy who's like going on and on about oh Alan cuming I love Alan com what is he in dude like literally everything I was trying so I was like why am I know your face so well and I cannot he was in Spice World he was in the X-Men movies he's like who was he in the X-Men movies uh the not he was the one that um I can't remember his name he was so cute he was I think he was blue as well um I think he was an only an X-Men 3 possibly and he was the one I can't remember his name but he looked he looked kind of like a monkey if I remember right and Beast no that's that was Kelsey gramar um but he looked kind of like beast and he could do the um Nightcrawler yes yeah okay yeah yeah yeah okay he's in literally everything like and he's on that show that I can't remember the name of and he hosts it and it takes place it's a bunch of reality stars you would love it we need to watch it together if we could find it okay I watched at a client's house and I was like what is this show and she goes yeah it's the greatest show of all time basically they take all these people and you do you ever play the game Mafia no but I've heard yeah I know of it it's that show and they essentially play that game with celebrities and they have to like you figure out who is the person but like then you all take a vote or whatever and Allan [ __ ] hosts it and we were watching it and I had to stop doing her nails at certain points to watch it cuz she was like look at this look at this it was like they didn't give him a script and he's having The Best Time Ever yeah because he's like very dramatic and I'm pretty sure He even wears a cape in the first episode and he just hosts it and has best time well he's like a big part on this [ __ ] um docu series he's working with Peta cuz he's working with Peta um cuz he was like I worked on this movie with this chimp which was Tonka and um he's like and the you know the chimp's not being taken care of it's whatever and I I did have small issue with it I guess where I was just like you are strangely invested in this animal for having like very minimal experience with it cuz then Tanya later on um and Tanya is the one who's like uh tonka's like caretaker right um is like well you know it's not like he like visited us after they had their very small like time together and then he never reached out again which I I just thought that that part was interesting I think that his I think it's a beautifully done series because it really shows how these people are like so obsessed with these chimps and they think of them as people cuz what their DNA what is it 97% something like that yeah is like similar to us and you look at them and you look at their eyes and you look at their little hands and it freaks me out I don't like monkeys no I'll say it loud and proud right now I don't like them it you know the thing that gets me I like the little Capuchin ones I like the little ones but at I don't like those I don't like any of them they freak me out so much it gives me like uncanny valley it is that's the thing is that it's so creepy and the fact that it's like they're just walking around and it's it's insane and so yeah all these people are they look at them and they look at them as they're babies and that woman oh I liked that woman with the um well I liked I liked her in a way that you're just like I don't know how I feel about you you know but I I would want to have a drink with her the one who was like I decided when I was a kid that I'm going to be the world's greatest monkey trainer oh God I don't remember I was thinking you do remember her because I'm going to say this is the part that you and I both agreed on where she had the baby and she had the baby monkey Connie was the other one okay but this woman was the one who wore the cowboy hat and the ponytail and had the smok she was it for very long was she she was in like two episodes okay and popped up I think in the third episode okay but she was the one that had chance M mhm and I remember chance cuz chance is in uh Wolf of Wall Street funny yeah it's crazy that they're like oh yeah this is Tonka he's on those greeting cards in the 90s Tonka was in this movie Tonka was and I was like I know this chimp I know this animal like so that woman I wish I could remember her name but she was the one who was like there was this baby monkey that was dying and I'm nursing my baby and this baby monkey won't take the bottle so I nursse the baby monkey and I have I I need I need to talk about this I need to talk about this I sent you voice notes I think it but I was like and I talked to my other mom friends who have breastfed and I was like I I don't know if I'm also crazy because if I was looking at this small animal that like again has like very similar DNA to us I'm breastfeeding a kid um it's literally holding your own baby looking at this baby that's dying that's dying I'm like is it a Nutty thing to do it's absolutely Bonkers and frankly I it would be simply a secret that I took to my grave but I would do it that's the crazy thing I've never breastfed anything in my life but I'm just sitting here going if you have if I the power like I like the pets that I've had I've loved so much that like I it's like insane how much I love them and I'm not comparing that to a child I'm just saying I have not had a child yet so like that's the biggest love that I've felt for like a thing that is tinier than me that I have to take care of you know and if one of my cats was so sick that they were like you have to breastfeed this cat I don't know what I would do yeah because on one hand I go I no but then on the other hand it's like what you're the only one that could save this thing's life that you love so much and when you say you would do anything I paid $22,000 a year ago for a 45-minute vet visit yeah yeah if you could do something for free that would save its life and I guess that there's probably a larger conversation of like oh well why not reach out to like sanctuaries or zoos and like find but she was essentially oh find like a mom find a mom that might take the baby but but these you know these people aren't going to do that cuz that their whole thing is like keeping these chimps as totally pets totally and keep like as adoptive children and then it's like you're hearing these stories and This Woman's like that's just what I did and her husband walked in and saw her do it the husband's like I guess this is what we're doing exactly and so you're like I guess it's just such a different the beautiful thing about living on planet Earth is that there are so many groups of people that have so many different like life experiences and rules that they live by and things that they know about that are so Niche that we will never know about them and that's why you need to watch documentaries and read books and I will argue Tik Tok until the end of time that being said there's a whole group of people in this chimp Community who are like oh yeah she breastfed this this chimp when it was dying and she's such a hero I would have done the same thing no question mean and it's just like oh yeah there is a whole group of people that like these are their babies I know it's wild oh my God I was watching the episode um yeah we I feel like at the top or in the description we would have said that there's going to be a boatload of spoilers about this I was it the second second episode the second episode is nuts yes okay so I watched the first episode mhm and and oh my God I was in and like oh it shows oh the first episode is where um she goes in to get like her pedicure or whatever Tanya yeah Tanya goes to get her pedicure and then in like the back of the salon is like a med spa so like as she's like getting her toes done she's like numbing her lips and she's like you're not supposed to do this and she like drinks while mad at you and you drink water but I'm going to do it anyway and so you just you watch this girl like oh my God she's just like like this parody of a Barbie doll well she's like they say that I'm the monkey Dolly but I don't know what they're talking yes you do yes you do with your wigs and your big fake boobs and your big fake lips like and I'm not even hating on her because it's they show the scene of her after she's just gotten her swollen puffy lips and her big lashes and her big hair and it's like her opening her crusty eyes yes and she's just yeah and she's got all this lip gloss on or the you know the ointment or whatever and then when she's stressed she goes to the Tanner mhm in like the third episode but anyway yeah and she's talking about how like she's dodging peta's calls is she's just getting like spray Tann yes she's just like oh they just keep calling me they just keep calling me and it's just like um and she's got her long fake nails and I'm just like there's parts of you that I love 100% dude the same way that there were parts of Tiger King that's the thing is that we lovec characters I love Joe Exotic Joe EXO I'm sorry how funny he's a monster and I love him he's a monster but when he's just like I'm sorry but him saying I will never financially recover from this it's the funny iron just for forever crying all the time that is in my vernacular that is a thing that I say of with his ponytail and his oh my God and do you remember when he's showing the guys the um the crew like the underwear and they're like which ones do you wear and he's like well I don't wear underwear and it's just like and then he's like marrying this one guy and then marrying the other guy too and then like what did he wear like a priest outfit to his funeral or something like a glittery oh also also when um when one of his employees got their arm ripped off and he had a sparkly paramedics jacket to put on that he ran out and and I was just like exactly like what you said you're a monster you're a bad person and I love every second of Television that you have been on yeah and he's oh God he's awful oh my god with his eyebrow ring that was like falling out oh yeah that's just actively rejecting bad but anyway Tanya is the same yeah Tanya is a very similar character like I and it's just you know what it is it's this and the documentarian kind of like hits on it but it's like it takes a very specific type of person to be in this community of like ex the exotic animal community because you know that it's wrong you know it he said they say in the third episode they're like she is she's aware that she's they say pimping out these baby chimps she's like it is a horrible thing that she's doing right and she doesn't care she doesn't care yeah that's the crazy part too is that she doesn't care we should mention that that's how she makes all her money that like supports this like little zoo that she runs or whatever is that she breeds The Chimps and she sells the chimp babies God yeah yeah yeah for like 30 grand yeah for a lot of money and then and then they show she SS them on Facebook Marketplace that was the crazy thing too where she's like showing like the listings where people are like oh I want one I want one want my Christina is a psycho you're going to love her when you meet her like oh God not a better pair in the world um immediately found her Facebook and like all this information yeah oh she's one of those she's like oh I'm immediately going to hunt down all the information I I did that with de's Facebook page when that story broke I should have done it with Tanya's okay so the second episode I watch chimp's name do you remember I don't we should look it up because my mom I was talking to my mom about it and my mom kept referring to him by his first name yeah and we do need to look it up but like his name is like Lance or something like that Travis Travis okay Travis Travis I love animals with human names um okay so I watched the first episode and I'm like the show is batet bananas it is Tiger King level just Bonkers and and the guy the doc documentarian says he's like like I don't know actually why people keep agreeing to do this with me well I thought it was so interesting the way that they did it because when they had the director and then they had the fake director who I like that guy yeah I liked him too I loved the scene I think it was in the second episode where he's at the kids party he's got his clown makeup on and he goes to have the serious conversation on the F with his clown makeup on fun yeah I have a screenshot of it but this with the guy he seems so kind and he's just like like in the series when he's just like listen I understand like I understand where you're coming from because I love these animals too and she goes no I know you understand because he does he just seems like such a kind man yeah he talks about it at the end of episode three where he's like um I do have empathy for Tanya yeah like this is a really difficult situ she loves these animals she loves them so much and it's like yeah so okay so the thing with Travis yeah so that story is wild because that's one that I knew because you know you're talking about like the movies that Tonka was in the Travis story was everywhere well it also kind of became an urban legend cuz everyone's like you know so the woman what gets Travis when he's little they raise him her and her husband raise him like he's part of the family lives in the house like just does whatever the hell he wants drives with him oh yeah wears clothes don't they say that like he drives the car at one point I think he did I think he did like he steered and they like did the pedals or whatever and the pictures of him with like people around town and the cops and everyone's like oh yeah I remember everyone knows oh yeah and I remember someone being like Oh you'd go out for ice cream and it would be like maybe we'll see the monkey today like I remember her saying that and it's like I can't imagine you and I grew up in small towns if someone had a monkey or a chimp I keep saying monkey but like if someone had one they would be famous yeah 100% And he was you know he was all over' be a local Legend exactly and then really sad the husband dies and my mom said I think her daugh passed away too I don't remember that but my mom brought that up when I was talking to her about it so this woman has had so much devastating loss in her family and animals react when members of the pack leave like they you know and especially Travis at one point like get out or something like something happened yes where his basically his life was incredibly restricted it used to be like oh like you're saying we oh we might see the monkey like maybe he's going to come get ice cream or something but he like escaped or something something like happened that I'm not really Rec calling right now no you're right he got out and he like ran out into town or something it was like this whole big issue it was and he was like they were like oh he didn't do anything bad but he was just trying to play you're so right because he was getting bigger and he was and they couldn't he figured out how to get out you're right he had this kind of expansive life where like he was driving the car and he was going out and doing all these things and all of a sudden he went from like this kind of bigger life to just in the house and kind of a cell in the house yeah and they would tell him and they had home video of it of him being of them being like I know you can go out and play in a little bit or like whatever but yeah he wasn't able to like run freely you're so right yeah so so this animal which should be in a [ __ ] jungle instead of someone's house well s from to vine like it has every bit of possible space that it could ever have yes and stimulation mentally and yeah and so the husband dies and the woman was treating this chimp like her partner like it was just the two of them she said they said they she would like go on shopping spree and like buy stuff for both of them and whatever then what one of the rare times she left the family friend comes over mhm I'm watching this on the airplane yeah and I am like holding my head like it was the fact that they have 911 like the recording of her and the way they set this up is so beautiful like it's so perfectly done because they have the cops being like Oh I took pictures with them I love them oh my God Jess it's my favorite part of the show tell me um it is her someone the friend maybe talking about like um which one it was was it the like owner of Travis that gets her face ripped off or was it the friend the friend it was the friend okay so it's someone basically being like um oh get like we got this Elmo Elmo doll for Travis cuz Travis loves Elmo like go go give him the doll and Travis will be so happy and then all you hear on this um 9 one phone call is like her screaming and Travis like making all of his like noises he was also screaming and it just Zooms in onto the Elmo doll on the ground with blood all over it phenomenal TV the way that they weaved in the pictures yeah like cuz I'm horrified obviously I'm like oh this is cuz you're hearing this 911 call yeah and then it just Zooms in on this little Elmo doll while he's going he's making his monkey noises and I start I died laughing oh it's simply passed away laughing it's insane and then there's blood everywhere and then she's screaming oh he he he killed my friend he killed my friend and he ripped her face off was eating her face it shows scraps of the face on the ground and skull yeah with hair attached to it and so they're like oh he did this he did that like you need to come and she's screaming and the cops are like We Know Travis and the cop who shoots him okay go ahead that part so the cop telling the story what an incredible Storyteller incredible Storyteller talking and I loved the picture prior of him laughing with Travis on his back and he's like we LED this chimp we love this chimp and then he's like I get this 911 call and I'm like I know that house Travis is there holy [ __ ] so he goes and the way that this man's telling the story about how he gets there and the woman is screaming you need to shoot him you need to shoot him and she kept stabbing him in the back with the knife the Michael Myers knife that wasn't doing [ __ ] because he's 200 lb of muscle just being crazy and the cop's like I'm in my car and I've got my gun ready and he comes out and he goes and you they're showing shots of the cop car with blood all over it and he's like he's hitting my car and he goes it's like Jurassic Park cuz he's hitting my car and I'm trying to be still and he goes this is the part that I'm seriously on the airplane with my headphones on just like trying not to be dramatic but I'm just like I hope no one's looking at me right now while I'm like freaking out because when he goes he came around to my side of the car and ripped the door off with his bare hands and I was like what do you mean and then he says this crazy thing and he says I believe him my friend Christina said the same thing she was live tweeting me while I was watching it um she was like he looked me in my eyes and his eyes said after he ripped the door off after he ripped the door off and he said his eyes said please shoot me please kill me and the cop is crying while he's telling the story and he goes I shot him twice in the chest and he ran away he didn't die mhm I and I love the cops like No One Believes Me I know I sound crazy I believe him 100% that animal was tortured yeah keeping a giant animal which again is supposed to have free range of everything of its entire environment in a Cell in a house especially when it had tasted like life outside yeah it is going from having some enrichment to no to a dog would freak out dude it's like you know it's like those sad stories where um you hear about the dogs who are just chained outside and have like nothing and then they're violent and you're like oh why is this dog violent exactly and then yeah and Travis just ran inside the house and died in his enclosure and it was sad for everybody and then and then the woman survived which is the craziest thing and like do you remember when that happened I do because I do too wanted a monkey and I remember my mom being like it's going to rip your face off and eat it yeah yeah and then she was on Oprah I was literally going to say she was on OA and so now she like is she wears this like Veil this very l no she just recently spoke out I don't know who her plastic surgeon is she looks incredible oh I need to look her up cuz you know the last time I looked it was a little rough no she looks incredible like I don't know and I'm trying to say this softly because I mean it sincerely I don't know if she had a face transplant M I think those are brilliant have you ever seen before and after a face look her up right now I can't remember her name but I don't know if she had that but it like she looks great like she's speaking out she's being an advocate she's using her voice like she yeah it's crazy but um of right is she the one who got another one who got another monkey which one Travis's owner no it was the other one the last girl right it was the other one yeah I can't remember that one's name but that one was really sad I can't remember what was that monkey's name there that chimp's name is it like this yeah yeah yeah okay yeah no she looks like she looks great normal yeah I mean you know you would assume some like surgery's done but like she looks she looks great yeah and yeah she's an advocate now but like the crazy oh my God so when Tanya was this in the it was in the second or third episode maybe it was in the second episode where Tanya's like Tonka died like all this stuff and she goes here are his ashes and I remember being like that looks like brownie batter MH like that's those aren't ashes we've all seen what ashes look like those aren't ashes like that's not the second episode is fun especially having watched the third episode now because I I feel like I need to rewatch it because there so many times where is like sobbing soing hysteric hysterically sobbing and like talking to lawyers talking to a judge talking to like Peta representatives and just being like you guys are horrible like I'm in mourning like how dare you like put me through this she keeps saying he has congestive heart failure yeah like that's what the vet says he has congestive heart failure and then he had it yeah yeah um and so like you know basically Peta peta's whole thing is like we we went and got all of your chimps and we are missing a [ __ ] chimp where is it where is the like evidence of its death if you're saying that it died blah blah blah and so obviously nobody believes her that Tonka is dead and lo and behold spoiler alert it's because he's not that was the second episode right where they zoom in on his enclosure they zoom in on his enclosure and um as like cuz basically the judge was like look do I believe this [ __ ] I do not I love that judge she was like I don't believe a single thing that's that's come out of your mouth She's Like You Lie you lie and you lie and everything's inconsistent but she's like but I do not have evidence in front of me showing me that Tonka is alive so good judge by the way cuz I feel like so many people would be like oh yeah whatever and she's just like I don't believe a word you say but legally I cannot do anything yeah exactly and so um and then and this is where I just like I get astounded because I'm like how dumb are these people because she is so excited she's calling people she's like yeah like I won I won I won and then as she's walking away she goes we just have to keep him hidden yep and like you know the third episode wasn't out when I heard her say that and I was like why did you just say that on camera oh yeah only for the third episode to show he is completely alive oh yeah yeah she has been hiding this fugitive in this huge enclosure well not huge for you know what I mean but like built enclosure you know that like took time and then in the third episode where we meet that guy who yeah where she's like oh yeah I've never met him and what she was in is was she in Minnesota I don't remember but they drove to Ohio mhm and when she tells the story about how they sedated him and drove him to Ohio and she's like oh yeah I've never met Sai before and Sai was like oh yeah I'll take him and then he goes well I've got a little bit of a history and he stole like $300,000 from the city because he was addicted to buying for his circus to build his circus and buying [ __ ] online he's like well I just he literally was like I'm addicted to Facebook Marketplace basically and I spent $300,000 of the city's money hot tubs kangaroos yeah like and so it's just these two people that seem to have no in his Jack Lantern shirt they have no like perception of like I'm this is literally going to be what puts me in prison is me talking about this on camera when there is a camera crew and they're laughing about when she's like oh well I needed his remains or I needed some chimp remains and he's like well I told her that whatever the chimp's name was was that was his he was like well he just died and we've got everything but a skull cuz I saved a skull and then they zoom in on the skull and like this you know um glass case or whatever and then he's like well I just thought well he's only been dead for a year why don't we just dig him up and then we cremate him and then we've got the chimps and I'm she's laughing about it and she goes oh yeah and since we're so similar you know I had one I had one year old uh they said 80% decomposed chimp carcass next to a sedated chimp and in her car and she's like oh yeah and they're laughing together about it like you know whatever and she's just like going toison she's like if the cops would have pulled me over they would have thought that it was a human body but you know whatever and I'm just like you looking at the camera and telling a film crew like it's just like the the comfortability that these people fall and you know you see it sometimes with like reality TV where you're like you do know that there's a camera right there I did it yeah yeah I did it I was when I did [ __ ] Dr 90210 they were asking me stuff and later I had to go can you not put that in yeah and they go yeah you know because it's like I'll say right now I'm sorry I sound like a monster but like I they knew things about my personal life that I didn't tell other people just because you get to talking to these people and they weren't tricking me by any means they just made me so comfortable and like I just can't imagine getting this comfortable I know that's the thing I didn't tell them deep dark secrets like I just like they they again the this whole thing has been heard trying to like avoid prison time because she was court ordered to give up all the chimps and she kept a chimp and they're like hey we think you kept a chimp and she's like no I didn't and then she's like yes I did and here is all the evidence and how I did it and some um [ __ ] hotel footage from the camera oh the hotel footage of them taking the the cage with the sedated chimp like through the like kind of you know back alley of the [ __ ] hotel so they don't get caught like going up the stairs yeah stair why would you get a floor oh I guess whatever but like I think the wildest thing about this show is that everybody stands like what did what's her face say on that show was like T toes to the ground T toes down yeah do you know what I'm talking about um ad on Love is Blind Love is Blind yes I was going to say the girl that we liked yeah yeah they do that they stand in their truth so hard and they're like well of course why of course we would dig up this animal that died for and commit fraud yeah of course yeah there I just and then the guy again saying all of it on camera being like we're just silly goofy exactly like that's exactly it was just like isn't it so funny that we did no you both are going to prison especially him because they were like you either need to pay back the city the $300,000 or you're going to prison for 8 years and he's like yeah like who are you people um but yeah episode 3 was interesting um I love the way they ended episode three where he's like can we go off the Record the guy just looks at the camera and then it ends and I was like all right okay yeah um but it it shows us kind of like one final family I guess um that owns a chimp and it her name was I I keep trying to like they said her name five different ways they're like Tamara Tamara Tamara her um she she was awful I'm actually like I'm curious why they even really put her in cuz it wasn't much of a plotline like it it was basically the same plot line as like Travis except that um they were just like she's a mean [ __ ] and everyone hates her everyone in town hates her her kid hates her yeah yeah well and then I think that one was interesting because it's like he that one literally had a babysitter mhm and then that one that was crazy because they had the footage of the cops like going there but that but then that woman's crazy she's the one that got another one yeah because she was like what she was alone she was like by herself the monkey like slept in bed with her like all that stuff and her son [ __ ] hates her and then the daughter moved in he attacked the daughter cuz the daughter was in his room MH and which makes sense like that he would freak out about territory attacked the daughter apparently yeah they had a very like specific system where like um they wouldn't let him out unless like the certain door was closed or something like that and like apparently everyone just like kind of [ __ ] off the system that day and yeah he attacked daughter and took chunks out of her oh my God the the son said that it looked like she'd been in like a shark attack yeah mhm and then you know there's what the footage of her or something of her being like it's okay like I love you like you're going to be fine and then she tells the cops to shoot him well and then the babysitter lady like the one who had been watching the chimp I liked her yeah and she was like look loved the chimp she was like it was the human that I couldn't [ __ ] stand exactly yeah she was like yeah it was not being taken care of like at all like basically she was saying that um we're going to I'm just going to say Tamara um she was like Tamara was over it at that point she was like she did not want to care for this chimp anymore um because they live Human lifespans exactly so it's not like you know you get a cat or a dog and yeah pun and I are the same age crazy isn't that crazy I think he's like a year older than me or something like a lot of us love for our pets to live a little longer or whatever but like you know when um my rats passed or whatever I was like yeah I'm coming to like the end of me wanting to care for rats right now and it's a small time commitment like it's 2 to three years so like that's like okay cool like you can be over it you know kind of is and not do it anymore but if you're getting a chimp that has a human lifespan right if you're over it there's no that's the thing cuz when you commit to a pet you commit to their life yeah exactly and like it's like these people that you and I have known them in our lifetimes who get an animal who have no business getting an animal oh dude and then they don't want to take care of them yeah it's tough and it's just like okay give them to someone who will love them more in the way that they should be love and stop getting animals and stop getting animals and like oh my God I would love are you kidding me I would love a kitten right now I would love to get a little cat I can't have a cat I can't at all like emotionally I can't do it I'm traveling too much I can't do it with my work schedule there's no way but like so many people I would love to have a puppy I can have a puppy right now I never want a puppy again in my life my God I would love well even that I would love to go to a shelter and adopt a dog that was like six or seven I would love that I could see that in my future I do not see a puppy again I said an alarm okay yeah um cuz I have therapy but like it's we don't get these animals because we know that cats and dogs are a 10 to sometimes 20 year commitment I mean you see Indie ind's 10 and she's spry like this dog has many more years in her assuming you know God forbid anything happens but like she's very very healthy and she was can live up to like 16 to like 18 years look at your cats your cats could live for 20 years yeah they're also super healthy Lulu was 19 when she died be I think was 16 and it's like it's crazy but again even even like that is like still I would consider kind of a more short-term commitment it's not like um a bird like one of the larger birds like parrots who live forever or a tortoise that lives forever ttis has literally live forever I know it's crazy um so no she she's over it and I'm just like these people are getting these baby chimps that are going to outlive them yes and what do you do then like I need this docu series to go on for the next [ __ ] 40 years like I I need so much seasons was there wasn't a season two of Tiger King no there wasn't I think they just talked about it there were like something I I don't remember yeah there was you're right but he's in prison m well he was I guess most of the time honestly this whole conversation has made me want to rewatch Tiger King I think I'm going to the same thing you remember the lawyer that showed up on the jet ski yes that was one of the best thing I was the wasn't it Tanya's lawyer who was in the clown makeup or am I misremembering that no it's the guy who was the fake director okay okay okay who's like smoking in the clown makeup and like I loved him he was so sweet I genuinely believed everything that he said when he was just like exactly what you're saying when he's just like I feel bad for Tanya and honestly the worst part about Tanya is that she's a real person and she has a big heart and I get it mhm and I think that's the worst thing because you're just like you're doing I shouldn't say worse it's the most complicated thing cuz yeah you're you're not you're not doing a good thing and like that did you see even how much um when they had the update on tono and alen coming went how much his fur grew back and or his hair whatever and like he looked healthier but then at the same time you're just like he probably misses Tanya mhm he probably misses a human like playing with him and you know like bringing him chicken nuggets all the time dude when it shows her her scene of um cuz this they're basically iPad babies these chimps and so it's just her outside of the cage and like this is like his enrichment time is her scrolling through Tik toks of chimps doing things online and she's just like we do this every day we look at all the new chimp videos and it's just her scrolling scrolling scrolling to through chimp edits for like an hour yeah and then playing with him and holding his hand and it's like he doesn't have that in this facility but he's an animal that needs like when they showed him walking on the grass and stuff it's like when was the last time he got to walk on grass yeah it's [ __ ] crazy and when is the last time he got to be with other chimps and like it's just I don't know man I mean I still have so many questions like I I'm I'm going to rewatch it I think because I feel like I missed some things but if you guys haven't watched chimp crazy here's your advertisement for here quite the advertisement like you have to it's so nuts it is yeah it's like the craziest thing I've watched all year yeah I think it is I think we were we were past due for an insane doy series and here we are yeah well um I'm going to let you go to your therapy session I know I had to like set an alarm this time and everything yeah cuz I knew we would talk like crazy about it but I'm back on the 16th and then you have you don't leave for another like what two weeks after that okay cool yeah all right we might actually be able to stay on schedule for Once In Our Little Lives yeah yay the 16th seems so far away but it's the 11th it's literally yeah it's a couple days I know I know I keep thinking that I'm like am I going to be gone for like a month like that's how it feels to me cuz I'm so dude I'm so underprepared so not prepared for this cuz I I'm I'm part of the wedding party I didn't realize that's why made yeah oh yeah my dad's getting married that was really fast was yeah yeah it's a short engagement it was a short engagement yeah also it's also kind of a short relationship but hey to each their own good for them MH I think they've been like two years or something so not like okay yeah my mom would always tell me once you hit a certain age you just know yeah it's like okay I mean I love her like great honestly it's the most important thing yeah I'm just like d don't [ __ ] it up yeah right I'm excited to see pictures yeah I feel like I'm doing Gabby Hannah nose on this the whole time I'm sitting here I like that that's what that's called I saw a video compilation recently and someone was like her nose on the thing and that's just what I've been think and it's like hard to not push your nose on it because you're just
