Colin 5 under round today just kind of how would you assess how you played solid um look I mean especially after that kind of shaky is start uh not finding the fairways not hitting the best shots um uh you know 500 was a great score I needed a lot lower and I I knew that um but you know I fought hard and and all week honestly like that's kind of the golf I I missed playing and hopefully we can just use this as as a kind of a stepping stone into next year after the first two holes I think Scotty was up seven at then you make the turn and it's only two so kind of a drastic shift there in the middle of the round you kind of feel like you were in it heading into the back yeah I mean I think it was three cuz he ended up birding nine um but right after eight I mean it felt like anyone's game I knew he wasn't just going to come backwards and I still had to make a lot of birdies um just got you know Nine's such a tough hole you got to hit it perfect I mean I think he barely landed it on and it's pin High um 10 I just needed to hit the Fairway and it's just kind of those little momentum shifts that you know if I make at least one birdie in those three holes and I'm kind of three three back right there four back it's like you're still there but five shots is is a lot and you need a lot of special things to happen and just just didn't put myself in enough positions to do that is there any Pride or silver lining You Take by you know if there weren't the starting Strokes you would have won this tournament yeah um I mean it's it's nice I mean I knew I had that was kind of the goal for the week right to come out on top and in this kind of fake leaderboard and um see how things played out and ultimately Scotty was like second or third in that leader board so it didn't really help my case but look uh that was the goal you know I knew I six shots was a lot to catch up but I I know I've made it up before and um it was just nice to to put together four four good rounds you know throughout a week what was your reaction to to his shank yeah uh honestly very surprising um I yeah I knew I had to make the putt because I I had a weird feeling he was going to make par and I think he lipped out his par putt um even after the bad chip and um look I mean I made the Putt and it was two back but like I said like he's he's not going to just start making Bogies after that like he's going to do the opposite and he's going to start hitting golf shots and it almost like brought his Focus back in uh for a half second and then that's something you can't teach and it's just like you either have it or you don't now what what what impressed you most about the way he played this week uh just nothing phases him I mean whether I was close you know and gaining some ground or he was gaining ground it didn't change how he walked or how he played or how he went through every shot and um that's something to learn I think his mental game is a lot stronger than a lot of people know and uh it's amazing what he what he's been able to do for this entire season and honestly kind of over this past what is it three years now um it's it's been really cool to watch and and hopefully I can kind of draw something from that what do you take from this 2024 as a whole I mean you put yourself in contention probably more times this year than you had had in the past couple uh I got to start playing better better final rounds I mean that's what it comes down to I mean it's not like I had to do anything special in a handful of those rounds um it's not like you know I I didn't have to shoot 63s to win you know I was in these final groups I don't know how many final groups I was in this year but enough to where I can think of a few um easily off the top of my head and and when you can do that you know you hope to think of think of the win so uh I got to figure out how to not sustain the energy but just sustain the golf and figure out you know how do how do we shoot a 500 and Final Round where it's just kind of kind of effortless in previous years the swing maybe you felt like maybe that wasn't sustainable does that feel like a sustainable part of the game now it's getting there uh I think honestly irons might have been my weakest part um close to my weakest part this year and um irons I think are the biggest aspect and asset of of a golf game uh that you can have I think Scotty shows that and I've shown that my first few years so look if I can dial it in and get back to who I who I was before and even better now um it'll be hopefully a fun 2025 thanks thanks appreciate it
