Sizzling 90s return Tuesday in Denver; cooler, wetter mid-week

PROFESSIONAL JOURNEYS. DENVER 7 IS A PROUD SPONSOR. A SUMMERTIME. METEOROLOGIST DANIELLE GRANT BACK. DANIEL. WE GOTTA GET THROUGH. LIKE ONE MORE DAY OF REALLY HOT. AND THEN ALMOST FALL. NICE. COOL DOWN IN STORE. THIS GUY HE'S LIKE CHECK-IN IS AT THE LEADING FIGURES FRONT. LET'S GO. >> IS IT REALLY GOING TO BE 75 ALIKE? >> 79 MORE LIKE IT. BUT I KNOW. LOOK AT THAT. ARE LIKE YOU GUYS. YES, AND ARE CRAVING THOSE COOLER TEMPERATURES AROUND HERE. THEY'RE COMING. WE JUST GOT TO GET THROUGH TOMORROW ACROSS TIA. IT HAS BEEN SO BUSY OUT THERE. BUT LUCKILY, MOTHER NATURE GIVING US SOME REALLY NICE WEATHER CONDITIONS. SOME SUNSHINE PASSING CLOUDS, NO ISSUES OUT THERE WEATHERWISE. IT WAS A HOT ONE, THOUGH, TODAY MARKS OUR FIRST DAY IN THE 90'S THROUGHOUT THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER, MARKING OUR SEASONAL TOTAL TO 56 DAYS. CERTAINLY ABOVE AVERAGE. OUR SECOND HOTTEST SUMMER ON RECORD HERE IN DENVER. AND TODAY WAS A TOASTY 1, 2, WE TOUCH 93 OUT AT DIA. A LITTLE COOLER IN AKRON, LIVE IN BURLINGTON, IN THE MID 80'S 90'S AND LAMAR OVER TO PUEBLO, 70'S 80'S UP TO THE HIGH COUNTRY AND STILL PRETTY WARM OUT TO THE WEST, LOOKING AT OUR CLIMATE CALENDAR. YOU CAN SEE OUR AVERAGE IS TYPICALLY SHOULD BE IN THE MID 80'S. NOT THE CASE TODAY. RECORD HIGH STILL STANDS BACK IN 2019 AT 100 DEGREES. AS WE LOOK AT THE SATELLITE RADAR COMPOSITE STILL PRETTY ACTIVE UP INTO THE HIGH COUNTRY. AND WE STILL HAVE THAT RED FLAG WARNING IN PLACE FOR EASTERN ADAMS AND ARAPAHOE COUNTIES UNTIL 8 O'CLOCK TONIGHT, SCATTERED SHOWERS JUST KIND OF HIT AND MISS ACROSS NORTH PARK AND THEN FURTHER TO THE SOUTH RIGHT THERE AROUND I-SEVENTY. SO IF YOU HAVE FRIENDS, FAMILY THAT ARE DRIVING BACK, IT'LL PROBABLY TAKE HIM JUST A LITTLE LONGER BECAUSE THE RAIN SHOWERS COMING THROUGH THERE TRACKING SOUTH TOWARD FAIRPLAY. END OF THIS TO ASPEN, GETTING JUST A LITTLE BIT OF RAIN TONIGHT HERE IN DENVER. I'M NOT EXPECTING ANY OF THAT WET WEATHER TO MOVE IN. IF ANYTHING, OUR SKIES WILL GRADUALLY CLEAR AND WE'LL BE LOOKING AT OVERNIGHT LOWS DROPPING OFF INTO THE 50'S IN NORTHERN COLORADO HERE IN DENVER AT 58. MORE 50'S OUT TO THE SOUTHEASTERN CORNER OF COLORADO WITH 30'S AND 40'S UP IN THE MOUNTAINS. LOOK AT YOUR FUTURE CAST. I'LL KICK IT OFF BY ABOUT 06:00PM TONIGHT. YOU'LL NOTICE WITHIN THE HOUR OR 2 WILL BE WATCHING THOSE STORMS MOVE OUT. OUR SKIES START TO CLEAR BY 10, 11 O'CLOCK. AND TOMORROW MORNING, IT IS A GORGEOUS START TO THE DAY WALL TO WALL SUNSHINE, NO MATTER WHERE YOU'RE JOINING US FROM BY THE AFTERNOON, WE WILL BE WATCHING THE CLOUDS STARTING TO PUSH IN COUPLE OF ISOLATED SHOWERS ACROSS OUR NORTHERN MOUNTAINS. PARTS OF PARK COUNTY. AND THEN AGAIN, IT SHOULD BE A DRY DAY HERE FOR EASTERN COLORADO AS WE AWAIT THAT COLD FRONT IN THE NEXT STORM THAT PUSHES IN ON THE WEDNESDAY. LATE TONIGHT, A SNAPSHOT OF THE FRONT RANGE, MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES. THIS TAKES US INTO EARLY TOMORROW MORNING. BACK TO THE GRIND MAY BE BACK TO WORK. YOU GO. IT WILL BE MILD AND SUNNY TO KICK OFF YOUR TUESDAY BY THE AFTERNOON. AGAIN, THE SHOWERS PRIMARILY OFF TO THE FOOT HILLS, BUT STILL PRETTY TOASTY IN THE METRO AREA'S DAYTIME HIGHS WILL SOAR YET AGAIN. BACK TO THE 90'S FROM 90'S AROUND FORT COLLINS ALL THE WAY SOUTH THROUGH AURORA AND PARKER, 70'S AND 80'S UP TO THE FOOT HILLS. YOU CAN SEE STATEWIDE IT'S GOING TO BE PRETTY HOT TO 95 IN STERLING TOMORROW AFTERNOON. 93 IN LAMAR BACK TO THE 80'S. YOU GO IN STEAMBOAT AND MORE 90'S OUT TO THE WEST. I'LL SHOW YOU THE SUPER 7 DAY FORECAST. THE MOMENT YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR RIGHT? THE COOLER TEMPERATURES. THEY'RE COMING IN ON WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY, A STRONGER COLD FRONT WILL ROLL THROUGH AND NOT ONLY DROPS OUR TEMPERATURES DRAMATICALLY COMPARED TO WHERE WE HAVE BEEN. BUT IT ALSO WILL BRING US A GOOD CHANCE FOR SOME SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS AROUND HERE. SO GET IT WHILE YOU CAN A LITTLE TASTE OF THE FALL SEASON
