Sabin but before I get to that I want to focus on the swag let's talk about the swag and let's recap the game for the other night with Jackson State Jackson State losing to University of Louisiana think we could have won that game I think we could have won that game easily you know what I'm saying I don't think it was a situation where we should have lost I think it was a situation where we were too conservative uh I think we were just too conservative I think we um we played to keep it close we didn't play to win the game and uh whenever you're coming into a game like that without thinking that you can win the game or playing to win the game you're handicapping your roster you're handicapping your dep chart uh you're handicapping your uh play calling I I you know this is one of my issues that I've always had unfortunately with the SWAT and the M are we planing to compete are we playing to win the game or are we just there to get a check you know what I'm saying like like what's really going on are we just there to give ULM a good look because it was times in that game where we definitely could have won it was times in that game where we definitely could have did more than we did it's like they were uh they were um afraid to let Jacobi and throw the ball down field uh they were scared to throw the ball down field shout out to my brother Stony and um it's just like we were handicapping jacobe and Morgan and if you remember one of my keys to the game was let Jacobian be Jacobian um when we had that game tied at 1414 and we threw that interception where the receiver let the ball tip off his hands it felt as though we panicked and instead of playing the win we shifted more into survival mode you know what I'm saying I I it felt like we started to shift into survival mode and I just don't understand what kind of message that sends to your team uh defense on the on the field 50 plus plays uh you know what I'm saying I'm just not understanding bro I'm not I'm not understanding it like I mean in the trenches as far as the offensive line perspective I felt like we competed I was happy with the offensive line I think the offensive line line did enough to win I also feel like the defensive line did a an amazing job in the first half I mean the first quarter we were getting blown off the ball and those running backs were fing creases finding holes matter of fact I can't even say we was getting blown off the ball because we were getting a lot of penetration the issue was once we got that penetration we didn't wrap up uh on our tackles and I attributed that to a lot of nerves I've been seeing that all throughout college football this week where guys are getting in the back field or they're pursuing and they're taking bad Pursuit angles not only are they taking bad Pursuit angles it look like they just didn't wantan to um they didn't just want to lay that hat um now I see y'all down there talking about the head coach and I've gone to B for TC Taylor for a long time and I'm not talking about who's the guy and who's not the guy I'm not even gonna get into that conversation but I'm G say that was a ass coaching job I'm I'm G say that and if you want me to lie to you and wipe you on your ass you know y'all got y'all got those fan service channels that are just going to tell you that it never rains in southern Mississippi and uh every day is rainbows candy canes and gumdrops but the reality is we didn't coach that game to win we coached that game to be competitive we coached that game to stay close now can I be critical of the entire uh coaching in that game no I think TC did some good things I mean it it like I'mma continue to say shout out to trucker D shout out to Israel shout out to uh everybody that's pulling up it feels like we handicapped ourselves like I don't know any other way to say it it truly feels like we handicapped ourself and I just don't understand we're running QB draws into fiveman fronts with an extra guy coming you know um it feels as though I I heard rumors about a risk injury for Jacobi and I don't know if that's true but running your your starting quarterback into head on four or five man fronts uh with extra guys coming I'm just not understanding the creativity when it comes to utilizing a guy like Jacobian we only saw about two or three RP goes you know um after he hit that that that long pass deep instead of exploiting the fact that they know we could go deep now and get some easy curls some easy uh five yard outs we start going to wide receiver screens playing into the strength of that defense which is their defensive line being very quick and able to get on the boundary now you're adding more hits to the uh to your wide receivers I you know I just don't understand man it wasn't it wasn't a very aggressive um game plan and um I want to see better going forward and the hypocrisy in this and make sure y'all hit the like button when y'all come in the hypocrisy of all of this is you're gonna see him more aggressive jzz sh for the rest of the way you're gonna see him more aggressive play call them for the rest of the way and if I see that it's going to cause me to question what the hell we was doing in that game we had fans that was coming in here saying stuff like oh we're not supposed to win this game anyway what are you talking about fam what does that mean we're not supposed to win this game like like once again I thought what we're trying to do with JSU is produce greatness and y'all have heard me talk about this several times is greatness just winning the celebration bowl is greatness just winning the swag is greatness just having braging bragging R over Acorn and young jezy beating your rivals or is greatness being dominant is greatness knocking on the doors of power fs and knocking them off and FBS schools and knocking them off like help me understand what greatness is in your estimation matter of fact I'm talking to y'all directly down there in the comment section below what is greatness for you as Jackson State what is greatness for you as the SWAT what do you want to see from the swag what do you want to see from Jackson State when it comes to representing on a national level is it just cool to be dominant in the swag is it just cool to win the swag like like y'all let me know what y'all want because some of them comments was blowing me some of them play calls was blowing me um if you don't think Jacobian can the ball down the field what are we doing do we have a guy on the roster that is capable of doing that you got young guys coming in there like Terrell Jr and Miller those guys was running the football tough in that second half giving you a spark like when when nothing was there they're fighting for every extra yard you want to send a message to your team that we're not here to compete I mean we're not here to sit here and keep the game close almost like goddamn I'm tired of almost somebody said in my um my bro if you play football on any level if you if you know our football Concepts I was a high school football coach uh for a year down there in Dallas County High School in planville Alabama I'm not acting like to you know to be a foot ball officient a or anything like that but I've been around football enough I've played enough and I've coached enough to know Concepts um I'm not as decorated in you want to do which is protect that sorry quarterback and put the ball in number 22's belly and number Four's belly were we playing I agree Stony J you could have easily won by 14 points I agree I feel the same team's Talent was held back when we saw that when Morgan threw that deep ball and connected bro i' rather a guy go out there and throw three interceptions and we going forward against a team like that than play conservative and at least it was close I am sick of at least it was close with Jackson State when it comes to the ULM and that's started with prime it started with Dion ass at competed and I don't think we're going to have issues in the SWAT but at what point do we start to think beyond that I mean were y'all the type that made the junior varsity and said I'm cool I want to be a senior on the junior varsity and win the locals with the junior varsity or did you want to make it to Varsity and eventually go to college and eventually play on the next level and when I'm saying the next level I'm not saying transferring to another school I'm saying the next level becoming Jackson State that's what I'm talking about oh my brother my brother from another my real life on your schedule that you're got to face when you play Oklahoma State when you play Nebraska next week Nebraska has one of the highest rated uh nil systems in the country I think they're top five the Nebraska you saw last year ain't gonna be the Nebraska that you seen um this year and you got to go to Lincoln so it's a situation where if it's that much entitlement you got all these celebrities in the locker room with all these expectations before the game where are these guys supposed to go before the game to lock in and you don't think that some of these guys took notes to All of the celebrities that was there at the beginning of the season last year and as y'all started to lose they disappeared this is a this is a a crapshoot this is a nightmare this is a recipe for disaster 1158
