2018 he signed with Texas out of high school from California uh red shirted there yeah he red shirted there came over to Utah uh man he 2022 was his best year uh so far you know what I'm saying he had uh 12 touchdowns rushing he had uh six touchdowns rushing in 2022 six touchdowns rushing in 20 21 he red shirted 2023 um cam cam shirt oh Med oh okay okay okay okay yeah all those are medical anytime he has an injury those are medical those aren't uh by choice you can only actually red shirt one time so then used to only be able to Medical one time but they've changed the rules and given uh medical waivers and stuff for guys look at all the changes happened after you bro uh 2022 probably still got a year left you might want to look hey he's he's got he's going in his seven season and they already approved him for eighth year if he wants to come back so hey I want to investigate that 2022 he played 13 games he had 249 completions eight interceptions over 3,000 passing yards 26 touchdowns uh so Cam ryzen and like I said medical red shirt in 2023 he played in the spring game this year um they had a 4124 over the defense I know it might not mean that mean much but he had he was 15 of 19 on his passes you know uh on the spring game this year spring game yeah I mean for anybody West watch you I that that's it's either that or 2022 yeah that's that's all we can go off it's 2022 so that's what we're gonna go off of let me pull up some stuff on him so we got cam Rising like CT said these are 2022 stats 3,000 passing yards 26 touchdowns eight intercep ceptions um I remember I think they opened up that year with Florida I think they upset him in the open if I remember that was a minute ago but I do remember that um and we have them verse to see who we have versus again I think it might be Oregon State but yeah there's been a ton of hype about him everybody's asking can he get back to this for him so we're going to check out the film and and see what because is the quarterback so what what kind of offenses you Utah known to run run with um I'm not sure who the uh offensive coordinator was at this time right now they're in a spread offense like I told you I haven't watched much uh college football like team by team until last year so right watch F I'm not I can't tell you what everybody runs just ahead of time or really what anybody runs ahead of time until I start watching the film on them but uh primarily this game they were everything was out of the shotgun and yeah it's Oregon State this is Oregon State yeah he's he's the quarterback so we'll know where he's at every single time wa this was a DOT I remember this one yeah that that was a great pass this on the believe the first drive of the game and You' been around us enough you know I played nickel this is the hardest route to guard in the slot you hear in many of our videos it is is slot F this is a tough one to guard as soon as he sees this matchup and sees that the safety's over here he knows he has man coverage here man coverage here man coverage there no safety help this this is going to be looked at depending on who that slot is and who his slot on offense is and as you see soon as he catches it he knows where he's going with the ball throws a perfect pass that's a beautiful ball absolute beautiful ball we'll be see it from this angle I think if I remember when I was cutting his film down he he locks on his Target a lot you see he's locked on right there yeah which is normal but there's a lot of other plays that I remember where he was just staring down the receiver back motion back aible let's see what he Ables to yeah he takes a sack right here n yeah they got him and the problem here for him was because this is his checkdown right here this guy running this drag route and he does not look at him at all the receiver doesn't look at the quarterback until right there he's already having to move at that point and then get sacked and I think I have this on a tight angle and the receiver was trying to find a spot in the zone to sit down in right but had he looked earlier uh cam could have hit him so this the receiver we're talking about right right here and this is the zone so we got someone playing zone right here someone playing zone right here so you're running this you want him to be able to sit down right there in between it he keeps running further I don't think however that he needed to take off looking at from this I don't think he needs to take off I think he could still sit in that pocket right he takes off and get sacked I'm put that sack on him cuz that P was pretty clean got a guy in the motion back and shotgun 2 by two goes to 3x one talking about the receivers 3x1 means three receivers on one side and one receiver on the other side this was an aggressive overthrow like an aggressive I don't know if you saw where the ball landed ball lands yes way over there yeah up here that's an aggressive overthrow and you can say that he got bumped a little bit and he didn't have pressure on him while he was throwing so he should have been fine right there but that's an aggressive overthrow so I'm curious to see more plays to see what his deep ball accuracy looks like he seems like he's got he gets great protection though from the Utah line yeah but this 2022 so all we have no idea who's here I want to see where this ball was thrown at okay from the 20 me see where it landed because I always want to see how far they throw 35 okay 35 yards in the air so we're going pay attention to that see if that shows up later on some other ones yeah here's a tight View and yeah I don't think he was had pressure on him no clean pocket just gets away from him it really got away from him all right now they're back to 12 Personnel one running back two tight ends which is primarily a run formation drops back I saw that a lot too he he throws a lot of balls low on some of the easier throws like that making his guy go low he had a decent amount of those this game decent amount and I'm no the the mechanics on this as a quarterback is just weird you st flat footed almost well the flatfoot is fine it's the how his Bas is no step into it his body yeah this is a weird that's a weird throw he's throwing fully with his with his arm there's no step into it that's maybe maybe he was hurt that's a yeah that was a really really awkward throw scrambles and yeah he he likes to take off and I haven't seen his injuries like I haven't seen the play he got injured on but I would not be surprised if they're from him scrambling because he takes off a lot a lot a lot yeah he come yeah he takes off a lot and he does not get there he takes them hits boy he takes them hits yeah this another one watch his I hope I have this from the tip yeah watch his feet on this watch his body position on the throw I know if we can see from here he's not stepping into it at all I don't he he has a different different release that's that's a a different release different he makes his he makes his receivers work that's for sure so here read option I showed it earlier where where he had looked at it this time hey he pulled it yeah he gonna run him over oh I saw this from the tight I think he scored right here oh they got him marked out but he he did a little tight rope at the very end of this it was tough it was tough come here sff th them whoop whoop that looked like a touchdown to me I don't know bro like he went right out right before he cross that Pilon bro dropping the comment did he get the touchdown or did he go out oh he runs okay yeah know he'll take off let's see what what he had downfield right here so he had options here and here these These are covered and these took way too long to develop so he trusted his feet third down let's see if he gets to the sticks he does but again he does not get down he takes hits and that that's where the wear and comes from yeah because he does take his hits yeah those are hits those add up those add up back in 12 Personnel I can't remember what we call it we call this WHYY uh WHYY flank twins y y flank so 12 Personnel one running back two tight ends two receivers play action let me see that it's another one low yeah really low you had a few of these that were really low On The Run let's see what this looks like from the tip play action it's a good ball yeah I think he's more dangerous when he's moving that's for sure yeah so this this is called I don't remember what we call this basically a pooch punt when you have a quarterback that can punt so this is fourth down as you can see right here and you don't see this really in the NFL as much but in college you will so you have to come out and be prepared to stop it and sometimes offenses will give quarterbacks a play if the quarterback doesn't like to look then all right just go ahead and punt it because they're in an offensive formation right here so the defense this is called punt safe meaning we're not just going to line up in punt return formation because we need the right people out there to stop a play so he's gonna come back here and uh punt the ball so when you got a player like this great punt too oh yeah so when you got a player like this you always have to be aware of you know them going for it on forth and you want to get I'm not sure if they did but you tell your safety or whoever you know one of your guys to try to get back here and not let that happen yeah good old Pooch punts Okay saw that let's see a lot or low he he throws a lot of these balls slow yeah it's it's interesting I'm I want to watch some more games of him but he he ends up low on a lot of these throws see what it looks like my second read yeah he he throws with all arm all arm he's using his hips and stepping into it yeah it hurts my shoulder just looking at it so I'm do a lot of audibles too at the line audibles means changing the play or the um how the linemen are blocking or the routes that wasn't a bad throw right there Let's See How Far That was ball was on 32 so we got 18 to the 50 28 that's was about uh 42 that's not a bad play though that was not a bad throw at all 28 38 yeah no that's not a bad throw definitely not a bad throw and trying to see what the Rush look like on him right here he had a guy in his face so he really couldn't step into that that's still a good throw that was great coverage yeah I was like the coverage is some point yes it was hey he will take that thing he be trying to truck guy here oh right here yeah can't do that 90 can't as soon as he sees you with them shoulders turned no he's gone and you get up grass yeah he needs to work on getting down and sliding but he's solid running the ball yeah he's a true du threat play action what we got it's a good pass good pass see it from this angle it just looks awkward to me something about the way he throws just looks awkward to me but hey I don't as long as it works for you and you get the ball where it's supposed to be it is what it is here's a little I don't know if I have it from the tip but I know we talked about this in olly Gordon's this running back is wider than normal and he ends up coming out this way little things you can see little things guess it's a little bit behind them on the out route what down is it can't see the down distance second now so that was first down I'm not uh I'm not sure because all these aren't always in order there could have been a run play in between he kept that sucker boy yeah know he he will keep him my heartbeat there a little dangerous one too that's a that is a dangerous one he should be able to make that play but he caught him he trust in himself oh almost scored again what we got right here play action oh yeah this was a this was a tough throw office back foot fading away right on the money that I like that yeah he got it like that one a lot I like that one a lot goes to empty meaning nobody in the backfield five wide yep is um what made him throw this you got missed look at his storm motion all the time now and he he had this dude wide open but he's locked on he's locked on him and I'm not sure why but he has a touchdown right here he has a touchdown right there and he's throwing a double coverage right here luckily it gets out of the end zone but that's that was a that was a dangerous one Ken that was a dangerous one yeah yeah that was dangerous it's like you already just knew what he was going he was try to read any other receivers yeah and he didn't even have pressure on him like he could have waited he could have taken he could have done a bunch of stuff that that was a scary decision right there that's a good throw on the slant think this touchdown oh yeah like that play play action a lot of play action he this is the one I was confused about I thought it was the other one earlier we'll see it from the tip just when he threw it was it's weird it's all right right here right if I'm not mistaken oh no so he had a guy right there this guy throw it now now now like he waited till the last minute threw it low in behind this DB wasn't trying to get a a pass break up that could have been an interception like right here okay we see he's taken man this is this is the perfect time to throw a laser right here and then he'd have all this room to make a play he can catch it here cut up can bounce it out like there's options but when you throw it as late as he did there's nothing he can do except try to get the catch but it's behind him and low see I definitely want to see see more from him see if this is a more consistent thing this the only game I got from 2022 right now he took that hit straight in the face and that hit the goal line and the ball was on the 35 that's 35 yard throw in the air it's two of those yeah Blitzer came right through it's like it's like whoever number he call in the Huddle that's who's who's getting the ball no second read no third read I'm just well what they uh did on a lot of them especially the play actions is they were like some of them were like that last play we watched I think that was just a two-man route where only two people were going out for a route and then some of the other ones it was like there's too long developing simulated pressure they brought it though yeah he came right through they call Pi on this that's a know about that one got dangerous right there yeah he got he got it in there though he snuck it in he snuck it in okay I like it so he gonna take his shots he take his shot he Ain scared try to put the ball where he want AR's way yep yeah he does I don't know what it is it's something man something just looks off the way he throws it play action play action it's a good throw there another one now technically it's a three man route because of the running back late releasing but really it's a two-man route just these two and his guy wins right there that's wow two receivers out there yeah scary yeah he should have yeah we talk about that in a different video but I don't know why that DB let that happen that's what we got cam Rising versus Oregon State in 2022 and he's solid he's solid uh dual threat I definitely think he's a threat at quarterback um I haven't seen anything for me to say like he's a special Elite passer but he looks efficient passing and then he can run so that's GNA I I definitely think he's a uh I I think he could be a problem uh like he he get out there he could run but he he ain't scared to put that ball in Horn way and sometimes didn't be the worst quarterbacks to play like what you throwing the ball like but hey you see how he got that touchdown yeah right through there so hey I think he yeah yeah gotta watch him especially if they build around him I know they have another younger quarterback there but I'm sure with this being year seven for him him staying in Utah that is his spot yeah yeah we'll see I'm not even sure what week they play Colorado but uh he can cause problems he can cause problems if you don't contain the quarterback if you got your read option guys not staying disciplined stay in their spot so I'm I'm interested in to see it but yeah cam
