we are here with Alex Edelman who won a very special Tony Award for your show a very special show just for us how does this feel it's crazy it's the coolest thing in the world I honestly like I don't know there's just Sur yeah I could who could have thought of this like a very small show and like a started like a pub behind a shoe store in North London and winds up winning a Tony Award so you took this show all over uh the country brought it to other countries I believe as well and it seemed as though the word was spreading so so dramatically and so quickly and and you were doing it in all these different theaters you were adding shows at the last minute I'm following you on Instagram you're saying like if you can't get in tonight I'm going to add a show tomorrow at noon and you just like kept giving it more and more life it just had a lot of people behind it and everywhere it went it found somehow more and so like I don't know it has a lot of fathers this show and and mothers and and I you know the funny thing is looking at this they I mean being just handed this like the Comets taale of people behind it and ideas from those people behind it it feel it's really special it's really cool I know that this is obviously a oneman show but there's a whole crew of people that helped you do this talk about them me and Alex Timbers I don't know that there's anyone I could be I could thank more than Alex Timbers there's just like um I mean the show existed I put it together with Adam brace as my closest friends and then Adam passed away sadly and and I was pretty sure I couldn't do this on Broadway and Timbers not only brought it to Broadway but he also did this incredible job capturing it as uh a special that's on Max and we really love the capture it's really beautiful and and um and Mike biglia who saw this in a little it would have gone abroad without biglia who saw it and like at what he put it on for one night at the lordel Berbiglia and he was like man this might be something and he put it up at the Cherry Lane and from there it went but like all the people that pushed it my producers my stage managers my publicist I know sounds silly but spreading the word of this so big no one ever thanks the publicist they really do they do they are so huge they do their whole thing these wom Molly and Chelsea Barnett obviously you know Molly Barnett Chelsea nman they just did the thing and I don't know it's just like I see all my friends in benj pic who you know well and we've all worked together you you benj and I like bench kept like I had like he's like my manager basically like my best friend who knows so much about BR but like yeah man I like my crew is my family it was the happiest workplace I'd ever had I mean we were so proud of you I remember I got that email from Chelsea that said you want to come to one of these early previews at the Cherry Lane I think it was and to now be standing here this is I mean what an achievement this is really really special I get to have this for until I lose it where are you putting it in the house oh it's going to it's got to be uh right next to my bed so I can look at it every morning before I wake up absolutely so I can get imposter syndrome before my eyes are clear like I can't live up to it but like really really special Alex Edelman just for us uh watch it on Max it is just a an incredible night at the theater and you can enjoy it at home and now you get to put that next to your bed thanks congratulations thanks oh oh my God Hudson theater man Hudson theater holy was he was he a favorite kind of thing oh my God oh my God he's like the nice so at the Hudson I gave him my basketball hoop do you know about this when you you do a pre-show we had a pre-show basketball hoop so I left it for him with a note so he should I hope he thanks me now you wait out here for him he's about to come out here I [Music] will if somewhere Happy Father's St dad I love you both so much oh my God and you son best ever to me I you so much thank you so much thank you [Applause] everybody love that he just tried to kiss is he going to come out this way yeah he's going to come right right out that door in in like a second well if he maybe you're supposed to
