Mock I'm Dan bpis this is old man squad fantasy basketball I'm joined by kingy Adam King 91 back on the show we're going to be doing this together because that's going to allow me to uh navigate around screens you'll get two different looks at drafts at the same time uh again on Twitter Adam k91 you can follow Oldman Squad that of course is the uh the network handle um and there was something else oh right like rate and subscribe and then Adam you and I are actually doing another show right after this one back to back we promo before we before we finish up but uh good morning it's early as hell where you're at right now yeah it is we we need to be quiet so we don't wake my kids up um do your draft an NPR voice my m is what I'm G to do on the first when it yeah that's right I well no I won't do that I don't care if they wake up um scw them it is uh it is early yes it is the clock has just ticked over 6:00 a.m. so um hey hell if I'm up they can be up too that's right I get up at about 620 most days to get the kids ready you're you're past those days where you have to like help them through the morning process as much but it's still like I don't know when would you have gotten up if you weren't waking up at 5:45 to get on a mock draft like a uh usually it's about 6:30 um okay it my son's good I mean he's sick at the moment so he may or may not go to school today my daughter doesn't need help technically but needs encouragement to get up come on get the hell up it's time we're starting the mock by the way it's about a minute 47 but it's always uh I don't know man you got more you got stronger pipes when you wake up in the morning my wife likes to talk to me when we wake up in the morning and I like to grunt angrily although I do get up first and maybe that's why I'm grunting angrily I'm the one that's usually packing the lunches because she's got to go work in the hospital as a presentable physician every day and I just get to like put on a hat and pants and take my kids to school or camp and then go back home and remove a hat and pants and let's be honest pants are optional um yeah you guys don't know what I'm wearing right now actually I'll I'll I'll show you I've gone full Dodger out today it's a Dodger hat it's a VIN Skully shirt and these are Dodger flannel pajama pants that I've taken off like you that's that's living yeah maximum Comfort uh so Adam by the way for those that are watching or uh listening and not watching has the he's given himself bestowed upon himself the number one pick uh I have gone dead last in this one I've taken the turn I wanted to try to go uh full difficulty setting I don't know is that suppose that's a thing uh but like there's a certain and we're gonna be talking about this actually on between two Dan later which is where you'd like to be it sounded like Adam you just you just wanted wemy today yeah I haven't had P one I I seem to keep getting P six pck seven um I've had a pick 11 but haven't been I haven't even been in the top four um in in all of the mocks and I've arguably done the most mocks in the world at this point and and I've uh yeah I haven't had pick one so I just want W I have no idea how I'm going to build around him but we'll we'll see well you're about to get him because the mock starts in two one and we are off so congratulations on your wemy all right I will uh make it official I don't need to White do I I'll just no we're flying man whatever weird ass crap happens I'm gonna put our faces down here at the bottom for YouTube I think this will show the maximum amount of stuff um and I'll try to get the the board on whenever I can it's easier said than done I think the I think the Fant trcks room actually displays a little better on streamyard but uh we do our best joic 2 Shay three before Luca in this one kind of an interesting little flip flop there I haven't seen much of that I'm assuming that's Luca playoff schedule related maybe yeah it could be I think Dallas have been pretty unlucky again with the the schedule this season so yeah I'd say that I mean Luker or Shay doesn't matter what order but yeah I I haven't seen I haven't seen this consensus sort of top four broken up yet in any of the major mocks we've done no Giannis goes five halberton six embiid seven uh he's he's bumping up a little bit Trey young eight Anthony Davis nine it's coming up to me in a second there but Adam I know you I'm sure you noticed the fact that embiid got bumped up on the latest Yahoo board that was kind of surprising I mean I know he's got the the per game appeal but everybody's pretty petrified of Joel I didn't I didn't think he was going to go earlier no um I'm I'm not touching him this year um yeah I I thought around nine was about right but yeah he did he did get bummed up slightly so I guess some people potentially aren't as worried or I I'm not sure but doesn't matter where he goes for me I'm not I'm not grabbing him well I'm going to go Steph at 12 and I'm just taking a second here to figure out what the hell I'm going to do with 13 if I want to lean into guards or do I want to pair him up with a bigger dude I don't know man the bigger dude that's around here is deonis sabonis and I just I don't feel like he's going to get anywhere near this area in overall appeal I don't trust Donovan Mitchell's Health nor do I trust Kyrie Irvings so it's coming down to like Booker or Harden for me at this point that's uh I might go Harden and Shore up the the guard stats he he's a little more guard staty than than Booker who's going to score a bit more uh so I I'll go James Harden at 13 which I realized is early but I don't know he's GNA go big assists he gets steals which Steph has struggled with Booker's advantage over Harden would be in field goal percent and I don't know if I'm going to be attacking that anyway so I feel okay with this start would you have gone guard guard or would you have gone guard big um I Pro uh yeah I probably would have gone I don't mind taking sabonis here and pairing him with a guard um like it but typically that would be a Trey or a um or who else Trey went early uh who else would I pair with maybe Curry or maybe Harden um yeah Trey went at 8 which which is quite early so sabonis goes there at 7 that feels safer for sabonis Dame by couple a couple of picks to float in Dam at 14 Donovan Mitchell 15 Chad holgren goes 16 as kingy just told you demonis bonis 17 Booker fell all the way to 18 pretty safe there and Anthony Edwards all the way down to 19 second round uh Adam I know you're coming up on your your pick here so I don't want to ask you a super long question but it kind of feels like the second round has a lot of safe picks this year and in an Abrupt Twist on the last like three or four years in a row yeah there's a few guys here um that that sort of have I don't know I I guess could be first rounders probably won't but they're they're relatively safe in the mid to late second round so um Edwards at 19 I'm comfortable with taking him at on the turn or in the first round I'm not but if you can get him uh mid mid to late second round I'm I'm pretty comfortable with that book of the same Fox um LeBron James okay yeah so fox went after Edwards then LeBron then Scotty Barnes you're coming up on a back toback so I'll I'll monologue here for you so you can I know who I want and he's there so I'm G to take the Melo um oh there you go yeah I'm comfortable taking the Melo in that range with Edwards and and Booker so um so I'm just thinking well the clock ticks down so I'm going to definitely go lamelo and that'll give you that'll buy you some time to figure out what you're doing at everybody watching can see the second round so there's lamelo atam logged him in now officially so Fox was 20 LeBron was 21 Scotty went 22 Kyrie fell all the way to 23 which frankly is probably where he should be going so I actually kind of like him there lamelo 24 Adam now has wemi and lamelo which is a really interesting build probably not particularly skilled at field goal per at the moment but not much way no I'm I'm not I'm leaning into a let's not attack field goal percentage because I've Tyrese Maxi um who I haven't drafted I'm I'm just drafting guys I haven't because I'm as I said I haven't picked anywhere near this uh spot so there's going to be a lot of guys available to me that I haven't got this this year so far because I'm picking in the middle of the round so I haven't had tyres Maxi but I think he's okay there I don't think there's much upside but um yeah as I said I'm not confident inbi plays more than 50 games so I think I like Maxi people are gonna think that Joey right behind you is just me on a burner phone because that team has nicolea yic Kyrie Irving and Freddy van so far that's like the Dan bpis Roto games cap team uh Paul George Goes at 27 um yeah you got uh you got an interesting build how how low do you think Maxi what like what's the floor for Tyrese now with with PG around because he's he's pretty efficient even if he loses some stuff he feels he feels like another relatively safe play now that you don't have to take him at like 19 anymore yeah I mean I think he he W I mean he was 19th last year um and yeah adding Paul George I think just knocks him down maybe maybe half a round so basically where I got him mid the mid 20s um and I mean as I've said I don't think embiid is relatively healthy this season Paul George has had injury issues in the past uh so and isn't getting any younger so there could certainly be spots during the season where where this is Max's team and and um so I think he will sort of fluctuate between that borderline first round and and closer to 30 depending on who's on the floor with him so I'm pretty comfortable getting him there uh goon goes after Paul George then kawhai Leonard Jaylen Brunson at the Midway juncture of the third round Kade Cunningham goes at 31 and now I'm going to screw up the view for everyone because I have to see the players that are still available here and I'll start to throw a couple in my queue if Larry marinin happens to make it all the way to me at 36 I would definitely go with him I doubt he does uh other names worth exploring at 36 37 which is my next two Jaylen Johnson is kind of an upside play cat is more of the safe floor guy uh Jaylen Williams is someone that I've been eyeballing pretty much everywhere I am not even really thinking about my build right now so much uh I think I would like to turn on the recent pick so uh JJJ goes 32 Jaylen Johnson is now off the board he went at 33 there goes Markin in at 34 and my Q is getting devoured as we speak um I don't know I this I guess I could go bam here if I was going to think about maybe building a small team that punts blocks a little bit because he does score I'd rather have cat between those two guys uh bam you get a nice field goal percent bump which I don't know that I need well bam just went so that's good so CAD is going to be one of my guys I think I'm probably gonna go cat and Jaylen Williams um cat for the safe floor big man who assists hits threes good at free throws kind of leans into my more guard specific build I ain't going to beat your team in blocks anyway so what the hell am I going to like is there any point me attacking that categ I guess the rest of the year we're not going to play each other the whole time but I can't just give up on boards and Steph's an okay rebounding guard Harden is actually a pretty good rebounding guard so I'm good with cat here and then you know dejonte Murray is a thought I don't really want to go with pels but in the late 30s he would be a possibility um I don't mind who the hell was I talking about thinking about a second yeah I think it's pretty much Jaylen Williams for him here so I'm I'm going to go Jaylen Williams with cat who um does give me a little bit back in the field goal percent realm we'll see if that becomes relevant but you know more steals that's important for my team uh good good threes good efficiency just decent across the board stuff I feel okay about my team right now I don't know what it's I don't know what it's great at um I know I'm not gonna I know I'm not going to block a ton of shots my team is turning a little bit rooy but we'll see I don't know I'm gonna bring the board back up for everybody so folks can see what's happening yeah I think you I think you're pretty good your sneak sneaky sort of assists I I know you took Harden so you sort of that's obvious but um Jaylen Williams he's decent in assists like he he's had double digit assist games so we know he can he can get them and and towns um Works in that build as well because I think towns can be a sort of four assist guy from the center spot although it's put him in the power forward spot cuz that's what he played um you'd be able to move him around um couple of names that just went off the board while I to jump in Derek white went right after me uh at 38 miles Turner at 39 John Morant goes 40 Evan Mobley at 41 and Desmond Bane at 42 obviously the Yahoo board finally moved johnar out of slot 3113 so he's back to going in the fourth round which I don't know I'm probably not going that way are you are are you going jaw I I still don't trust the percentages enough I I know there's going to be a lot of counting stats there yeah I haven't landed him anywhere yet um where I'm picking in this draft which is close to pick 50 I'd probably consider him but but he's generally going off the board closer to 40 than 50 so um I'm okay I mean if you're drafting him you know you know what you're getting you know you know what you're missing out on so if you can absorb his flaws then then that's fine but yeah he's not he's not generally someone that I end up with or Target uh Jaylen Brown and Jared Allen first two picks in the back half of the fourth round pretty early on Jaylen Brown um if if his free throw number comes back that's how he gets there but I don't know dejonte Murray falling all the way to 45 that's that's where I would take gon Murray in me in my eyes this is where he belongs I would draft him there but not he's he's going in the in the mid 20s in a lot of spots and you're coming up now so I'll I'll talk through the beginning of your turn so at least you can kind of set yourself up Jaylen Duran goes at 46 love his rebounding super fun to watch doesn't get defensive stats that's going to limit the upside a little bit on Duren and France goes at 47 which is pretty early on France and now kingy's up with 48 and 49 I'm I'm waiting to see I mean if France fixes his three points stroke that's how you could see field goal percent and threes take a little bit of a jump forward he was number 70 last year and I don't know that the usage is going to change all that much so it's going to have to be an efficiency jump for him and Adam goes Paulo at 48 and do you already already know who you got at 49 or are you in panic mode right now no I do I'm not in panic mode yet um yeah I was tossing up there between um Pao and Emanuel quickly um yeah I seem to be I seem to be getting banero a lot I put that on Twitter yesterday and and maybe I'm I don't know I'm I'm hoping he can turn some of those issues around like free throw percentage he's 73 74% Common Sense tells me he should be closer to 80 so I'm hoping that he can turn that around um in my build here I don't care about field goal percentage uh with my build so um and then I just sort of Shoring up those big man stats getting my second Center um because it's a two Center league as he's with the Yahoo default settings so Mark Williams probably drafting him at his ceiling um top 50 but I liked what he did I like both him and Duran here in this range but but Duran went a few Peaks earlier Jimmy Butler goes to uh Team ancient again I promise you that's not me but I do like Butler at 50 that's that's extremely late the problem is that like if you already have Kyrie Irving on your team it's hard to take Jimmy Butler because now two of your guys are probably going to miss 20 games uh if Butler was the only risk you were taken in the first four or five rounds I mean that's like the no-brainer of the century at 50 Jamal Murray goes 51 Pascal zakum 52 uh Adam what do you what do you like about your team so far we haven't had a chance to kind of like pause and give some self self uh reflection um yeah I mean I I I like the the last couple of drafts actually I've I've gone more with just players that I like having on my team and then sort of figuring out a build I I often come into a draft with a punt strategy in mind based on where I'm going to pick but this draft and the last draft we did uh yesterday I just went with guys that I like and so yeah taking wemi um interesting player to build around wemi because he doesn't he doesn't have a lot of holes in his game he's not Elite in in a ton of categories like um like potentially yic uh so he's he's a little bit I mean he's got the blocks obviously but the assists aren't terrible but they're not great but from a Center Spot they're actually decent so he's he's an interesting one to build around and and I think probably a trap that people might fall into when drafting wemi might be that you sort of assume you've locked up blocks with with one player and so you just ignore them for the rest of the draft and I mean to some degree I suppose that's correct but he he might get three and a half I mean I know he was pretty phenomenal down the stretch last year but he might get three and a half blocks of a game and so per week that's what's that like 15 blocks a week it only takes if someone gets a gobear and a jiren Jackson or something to beat you in Block so I think you need to remember that you do need to get someone else who can block shots which is why I went with Mark Williams there cuz cuz he can get me one and a half blocks a game I got to be honest I don't really know what the hell I'm about to do on my pick I've I've put Darius car Garland in my queue because I think I need to make sure I'm pretty damn good in assists at this point with a Harden step starting point it'd be kind of dumb to build off two guards and then not attack Guard categories uh and Garland made it to me it's pretty early for him but a lot of his issue is turnover related and they'll come and go so Garland is going to be one of my two picks the other one is uh really anybody's guess I I I don't really want Vu this year but his style at Center fits my team build which is a center who scores and rebounds but doesn't do a ton defensively um the you know the scoring the rebounding the passing is more important for me out of that big man spot uh so there's Garland on my team and now this one is is the big tossup do I go down the board Devon Vel would be another one to look at uh I don't think I want to take a shot on Zack LaVine yet I think DeAndre aton's shutdown is a a massive issue uh or do I wait and I get a center later and that might be the direction I'm going I might go Vel and just do a little bit more scoring stuff yeah that's the direction we'll go all right I'll go Devon Vel um I think he'll get some assists uh his percentages are not outstanding but there's an assumption that his free throw will be okay enough I'll get some steals I'll get some scoring some threes that's the stuff that I want to make sure that I'm winning at this point and now I'm counting on the fact that probably in round seven round eight that I can get one of those centers who has decent percentages coming up so like a hartenstein or a zubot or someone like that that I'm not as worried about blocked shots I'd rather get steals valent chunis would be one who's not gonna steal the ball very much but also fits that build and and I just got to make sure I get at least one of those guys coming back so that I think is where I sit with my team build right now pretty damn strong in uh scoring threes assists steals are fine if unspectacular great in free throws turnovers are iffy rebounds are not great because I only have one big man so far but again I think I can fix that when I address the fact that I haven't really drafted any larger humans yet H large by NBA standards uh I don't know if I gave picks in there let me lift list off some picks while you're setting up your queue here um so after your pick in the fifth round it went Butler Murray cakam and then quickly uh Rudy goar uh marked the halfway point of the fifth round back half of the fifth was DeMar rosen Nick Claxton Zion Williamson male Bridges Tobias Harris and then Garland for me at 60 and now vasel at 61 Bradley Beal at 62 Brook Lopez 63 pretty early on on brolo Miles bridg just go 64 Josh giddy pretty early at 65 then Vu so didn't wait too long for him Brandon Miller at 67 and that gets us caught up now we fell behind just by a little bit do you have your queue built are you uh are you free to chatter uh I can chatter I don't have a q but um I'm just Wing I'm winging this one completely without a q um oh boy there go so yeah I'm just sort of scrolling through here and and yeah looking at my team I probably need to get some maybe some steel I'm sort of I'm okay in most categories I think uh points threes are okay uh not not great maybe maybe I need threes um I do I mean I've got I've got one player who who I want here and and it's it's a bit of a reach but I just think he's going to be fun to have uh Ingram at Ingram at 68 Randall at 69 DeAndre Aon at 70 and Keegan Murray goes 71 and now now we find out what you're up to what Mischief uh so we're in the 70s so I'm comfortable so I am taking cam Thomas um here which is a little bit early I think I prefer him around 80 but he's not coming back to me um given I'm on the turn so I will take cam Thomas to get me some points and threes uh free throw percentage uh and then I probably want to get a big forward this is where I should have had a queue so lessen to everyone set a c trying to rescue you and now now you're in it all right you got seven seconds I'll talk over you here yeah so cam Thomas in the recent uh Yahoo board shift this is closer to where they've got him pre-ranked now so he's not going to get back too much o a saucy play Zack LaVine at 73 uh you you HED yourself after making it yeah don't it's not exciting but I mean yeah look I think if he plays I mean he's still close to a top 50 player and and maybe he comes out and he's just really annoyed at the world and and wants to be healthy and and all the rumors about him being traded and so yeah look he might come out with a bit of a chip on his shoulder and actually want to show people that he can still be an elite scorer in the league and so yeah i' pick 71 what did I get him 70 73 yeah um that feel that feels relatively safe Assuming he's healthy yeah I don't I don't disagree I uh this is one of those ones with LaVine too I think as we get closer to the start of the season and we get some information on whether or not he's going to be reporting to training camp you'll see his ADP shift earlier or later Kobe white by the way next three were kobby white Tyler hero and oh Drew holiday and now yakob purle just went off at 77 so for the moment my oh there goes hartenstein so there goes one of my potential Center targets which I got to get one here and I I'm not a big nerkish guy and there goes valent chunis uh oh things oh dear um I still don't want nurkic he's uh weak in free throws and you know he was he was healthy last year but I don't know that that's necessarily going to happen again I I mean unfortunately at 84 the guy that's jumping out of me is DLo and I I don't think the Lakers trade him but maybe they do and even if they did I think he'd go someplace where he gets to Just Jack up shots so I'm not that worried about D'Angelo Russell but I think I probably need to get a center and it probably has to be one that rebounds but there aren't many I don't want Clint capella he's the next Center on the board Jabari Smith Jr just went off I didn't want him either John Collins is a possibility but not a big rebounder do I really want to like hyper reach for someone like zubot I might not have a choice there goes nurkic the centers are all going on tangu is a like a decent free throw shooting big man but also not a massive rebounder I want rebounds and I don't want to put a hole in my strengths right now so we'll see if it get I mean you know this isn't where I wanted to take zubot but I might not have a choice uh Michael Porter Jr Goes at 80 two one more pick separating me from sweet sweet victory then I do I want to go DLo or tin Reeves both those guys would be fine in there Reeves Better field goal percent I think I'd prefer okay CJ McCollum so the two guys that I was eyeballing her there I like D'Angelo Russell in the 80s uh I think he'll be fine here especially in my more Gish build team uh not a huge steals Guy which is fine I'm not super worried about that I'll I'll deal with I'll deal with steals you know when it comes back to me around so it'll be D'Angelo Russell and then I got to go way down the board to get aita zbots because I need a center with good percentages and I'm counting on you zubats I think you're gonna I think he's gonna have a good year are you are you bullish on zubats bearish in the middle um oh I would say I would say in the middle neutral um he's he's fine he's not exciting uh but yeah look I mean he's got he's got very little in the way of competition for minutes what they've got Mo bumber um who has shown that he cannot stay on the floor whatever can get blocks but not a good Defender um so no look I think I mean you know exactly what you're G to get from zubats he's relatively durable so it's probably a bit of a reach yeah it's reach but it's still fine it's it's not like he's going to bottom out and be outside the top 200 or anything like that so yeah I wanted hartenstein he didn't he didn't get there then I wanted Valen chunis he didn't get there and so I I had to do what I had to do the other centers that are floating around are not going to rebound like like those guys that's like the last one where you you feel pretty good you get nine or more uh just been decimated yeah you take a second here I'll just recap a few picks um so the the ones before mine you guys heard me say Yousef nurkic Michael Porter Jr CJ MC then DLo finished off the seventh round so that was up to pick 84 uh 85 zubats then Chris Paul at 86 Anthony Simons at 87 Adams getting beat to a pulp over there ref uh Trey Murphy the third at 88 Austin Reeves goes 89 ogan anobi at 90 Jonathan kaminga goes 91 and Kyle kosma goes at 92 which uh it would sound like the last eight or nine picks were all uh of Adam Q so he's he's fighting it right now as jayen Suggs go I just went to click Suggs into my queue yeah I think one two three four five of the last six picks have been my queue so oh no yeah I got a little lucky that that my Q kind of hung in there in that last round I know the next guy that i' I've got in my Q is not going to be drafted because I don't want to draft him it just jumped to you real fast so after Suggs it went Jordan po at 94 which I got to say I'm quite comfortable with and we'll talk about pool after you get to make your picks christops porzingis this team is barely gonna make it through January porzingis Jimmy Butler Freddy vanfleet who I love a lot by the way Kyrie Irving uh that is that is an aged roster in the two hole RJ Barrett at 96 there's a lot of RJ Barrett uh love going on right now well yeah I mean part of this is I just needed to fill my power forward as well um you still got one more now I have no idea I don't man this is an ugly part of the draft yeah especially with all like all the guys from 90 to 115 that we all kind of like they just got swept out so ke that is uh that one scares the crap out of me of all the picks you've made so far George sces the living piss out of me um because your team like your team is basically punting field goal uh yeah I mean you're sort of hunting turnovers too probably with wemy and lamelo but it wasn't guaranteed uh probably until that moment now it's now it's probably it's probably guar yeah yeah no look I wouldn't I wouldn't recommend taking keontay George there but I've just gone for upside um yeah screw it no idea we're we're into our utility spots now so and I'll land someone in in the last round or two here who who probably outplays him so um yeah I don't like that range at all that 0 range you know the the 50 to 75 used to be like in the first Yahoo board was weirder and they took a few of them they moved them earlier and they took a few of them they made them later and now it's not as bad and now it pushed to like the 40s are annoying or the late 40s are annoying and then like after 75 it gets a little bit annoying and you sort of got hit with it there uh green by the way in the next pick in that round then Draymond Green greens clustering greens Alex Caruso at 100 we've hit the century mark Terry Rosier at 101 NZ Reed at 102 Mike connley at 103 what did you think about Jordan pool at 94 I I'm I'm into it because I mean really how long is Malcolm brogen gonna stay upright anyway yeah no I I don't mind it at all and I probably would have would have taken him um over if if he'd been available over keontay George um yeah I'm into pool this year as well a little bit I think I think he's people sort of soured on him after last year but he he ended the season pretty well and yeah I mean brogen's there but how long is he there so as your Q decimated herb Jones was my my inside track at Steels that just got ruined so that's off the table um piss John Collins I think is going to be a really safe play around this range so if he makes it two more picks I'd probably go John Collins uh bogdon bogdanovich everybody hates bogdon I I'll probably take that Plunge at this range uh there goes so Walker Kessler Ono kongu are the next two off the board so again I kind of got lucky that my very short queue made it to me uh I'm gonna let this timer tick down on Collins while I float through a little farther down the board and just make sure there isn't anybody that I desperately need to get here um I like Colin seon think about him I ah amen Thompson is interesting I don't know that I would go that way over these dudes Collins is safe I need a forward here I technically need another forward although I could move cat I'm just trying to see what the board could do for me I think I think there's enough uh like multi-position eligibility that my team will be fine the way it's currently constructed so I I'll probably just go bogdon bogdanovich and I'll lean into some more scoring and threes and free throw percent I I do feel like I have a steals issue that I didn't quite address and Bogan doesn't do it and it just punted me into autopick mode because I I let the timer run down on both um yeah I don't know I not my without yanis and and Dame for stretches because they were both out injured so yeah look I'm I'd be okay sort of taking Middleton in this range top 100 110 um and and just see I don't think you want to reach too early on him because he did have uh he had surgery on both ankles I think oh ankles yeah that's not great uh okay I do have a queue so that's nice oh that's exciting it's not an exciting conclusion of the 10th round yeah um oh yeah he was he was in M yeah I like seon there and then I probably need uh if I just look at my sort of roster here probably I'm probably pretty light on in rebounds so I probably do need a probably need a biger he's sitting there but I don't know what he's going to do oh what's this one about to be well it's I'm just going to take him because I like him yeah I I don't know I have no idea how many minutes he's going to play but if he plays 24 minutes he probably hits this value uh and if he doesn't I'll drop him yeah that's fair um I just figure he's stuck behind purle you guys I mean you know listeners know viewers know everybody knows how much I love Kelly Ox Fantasy game so if anything happens to yaka purle you've got a freaking like top level Talent with him I why I took him because I know you like him I I do like I I there have been multiple times that Kelly oen now has carried my team to Fantasy glory after being mostly useless for like concern is that he plays for Portland um yeah and and we don't know what they're doing in Portland with any of their players so I think if he was on any other team in this same with this same opportunity I'd be I'd be pretty high on him and I am still relatively high on him but um yeah I'll have to check that check out that show to see how high Matt is on him is flying right now uh amen else but I may not have a choice I I think I got to go at least one of my picks in this this 11 12 twist pivot has to be super boring maybe I can get weird with the other one golly oh here's one missed Gordon Hayward I don't know if you remember Gordon geich who insisted that his name was pronounced Gordon but I don't know if anybody ever did that I do not uh so you got a double dose here of of refuse yeah I'll go Tren I got no problem with that at 144 He he'll beat that he's not going to there's there's no upside of any kind uh but he'll beat it I mean yeah and I'll go yeah this is this is the well I don't know Wendel Carter's there but God he's underwhelming I'm just going to go Jaden Ivy a bit of he can get me some counting stats and and let's see what happens with a new coach and an organization that seems to finally have some direction see where he fits I have three fully polished turds in my queue now I just four four I'm polishing fast uh I'm I'm in everybody that's I know exactly which one it's going to be honestly Gary Trent like you look at all these guys the one who's going to play minutes out of everybody that's getting drafted right now is freaking Gary Trent I don't I don't see the problem with that Jay Smith I'll just highlight Jaylen Smith because the moment anything happens to voou that's Jaylen Smith go time but he's a guy that should be picked up when that moment comes I don't think you need to sit on him while he's playing 17 minutes a ball game 16 minutes a game whatever that's going to be I mean we we there's really nobody left at this point I I can put the I can put the draft board up so people can look at that IE HZ Jr at 148 cam Whitmore at 149 Bel k at 150 Malcolm Brogden so I mean Malcolm Brogden to me makes the most sense here you just treat your 13th round pick as like oh a hot free agent Malcolm Brogden probably has about seven games of value before a hamstring explodes and then he's done and then it's Jordan pool time after that uh assar Thompson at 150 2 Patrick Williams at 153 I still have four names in my que here Dennis schruder PJ Washington Alex SAR and Jaylen Smith uh shrewder I mean if the Nets continue to blow things up there's his his Fantasy game is terrible but at some point there might just be enough stuff to get him over the hump probably not at the moment PJ Washington went on a heater towards the end of last year I don't expect that'll continue but again it's another guy who at least has a role and then SAR would be like hey maybe he gets things figured out partway through but I'm also a kind of a punt blocks team which you know some of his values decent amount of his value probably tied up in that n Smith by the way goes 154 and then Jaylen Smith was just someone I threw on the board because I think he'll probably be pretty good at some point today I'm leaning towards PJ Washington of these players I don't know there's not even much of a point at this juncture uh soon as we finish up here in a second whoever any like that's the thing though 11 12 13th round picks these guys typically just end up getting dropped I'm going to I'll do PJ to finish things off according to the according to Yahoo I have an illegal team uh even though I have three guys with Center eligibility they B they haven't bothered to fill that in i instead have four players on my bench um what do you think about your team as a whole I I'll read it off real quick for you uh it's wemi lamelo Tyrese Maxi Paulo banero Mark Williams cam Thomas Zack LaVine RJ Barrett Keon George Colin Sexton Kelly otic Gary Trent Jr and Jaden Ivy what what do you feel like your team is good bad middle at and what maybe would you have done differently next time um oh look I mean I'd say just glancing at it uh as I look down my roster here I would say I like my starters so I like my my roster allocated players I don't like anyone else so I so I like my first whatever that is eight picks uh and then don't really like oh I don't mind Colin seon actually um keontay George I'm not excited about that one Kelly Alin well yeah I love Alin as well but I just I'm not sold on what his role is going to be Gary Trent is fine where I got him um yeah so I'm probably if I look down it I'm I'm probably pretty weak in rebounds I would assume uh if I bring up their projected yeah I'm sort of down towards the bottom uh threes I'm okay points fine points I'm points I'm good assists pretty good steals I suck blocks yeah and see I sort of did fall into that that um that trap that I mentioned where I took wemi and then just almost forgot about blocks and just didn't even consider them I did I went with Mark Williams but beyond those two I have no no one that gets any blocks so I probably needed to grab someone in the the sort of the eighth or ninth round there who who gets some blocks but as as we saw with your queue a lot of those centers went off the board there was a run of about six centers in the 80s I want to say yeah look at all look at all the the uh the orange and these different orange chunks if you're looking at the board like here's three in a row or three out of four in that chunk and then you've got this capella Kesler Mitchell Robinson Derrik Lively chunk That's The Late Late group of centers they it's it's funny it's like people see one of them go off the board and then they're like oh crap and then then everybody does their Center grab and it happens all at the same time because yeah like even around your Mark Williams won Jared Allen and Jaylen Duran went in the five picks before that there were a few guards and wings after you but then it went goar and Claxton they just when they go they go like and then you're yeah I I've been doing something Adam this has been weird for me I've been I keep Landing in a little bit of a punt blocks build because there's these few guys early that kind of set you up to to you should be attacking blocks but I I feel like because it's become a more kind of Haves and Have knots kind of category wem's massive in that one uh you've got uh Anthony Davis who gets a a big chunk of blocks uh goar Claxton like and Brook lope like there's like four or five guys that are doing two blocks or better and if you don't get one of those guys it's pretty hard to win that category and so like you know a lot of like with this one for me I went Steph Curry James Harden C Jaylen Williams Garland vasel dowlo zubot John Collins bogdon bogdanovich kcp Scoot and then PJ Washington was my last pick that's not actually showing up on the screen for some reason uh but once I took Stephen Harden and I thought all right well you know embiid wemi and anony Davis these guys in the first round I I like there are three teams that are probably going to beat me in blocks in the playoffs and I could go the other way but now I have Steph and I'm not going to take a block guy in the second round because they're it would be Chad and I'm not going Chad at 13 so now I'm way behind the eightball like at some point down the line I could take a block guy I could have done it in the third or fourth uh but at that point I already had step and Harden and I thought well this is silly if my team's going to be bad at blocks I should just be really good at everything else so I kind of pivoted away and that's been happening to me joic I've been punting blocks when I land on him uh when I'm kind of in the middle except with embiid I guess I've been punting blocks when I land in the middle um and that's kind of the opposite of what I often do in head-to-head usually I focus on the defensive stats and this year for whatever reason I'm kind of drifting back the other way um but I think that's it for us today I think that's I think that's this mock everybody got a nice dose you got a wemy build you got a turn build that ended up being on a step je Harden Duo and I I hope folks enjoyed uh hearing from a couple of voices at the same time Adam
