Rams Trade Ernest Jones to Titans!

[Music] welcome back Ram fans mark from Rams up here well it is happening actually it's already happened Ernest Jones our starting inside linebacker sent to the Tennessee Titans today Rams threw in a sixth round pick got a fifth round pick pick back that seems to be the Rams Mo and some other teams as well just flipping rounds with teams to make the trade happen not a good look for the Rams on the surface but hey I'm optimistic you got to move on there is obviously some issues here between the Rams and and Ernest maybe some issues about how healthy that knee was we'll never really know well maybe we'll find out when he gets to Tennessee how serious that was but hey I'm optimistic the Rams must feel really good about Omar Spates and the rest of their linebacking Corp does Elias Neil have a chance of making this team probably not you got Christian Rose boom to Troy reer and uh Jacob Hummel along with Spates all probably on this roster for sure and you know the only one that can really rise anywhere to to uh to Ernest Jones level of skill is hopefully Omar Fates and maybe he's got what it takes maybe the Rams will love what they see and they just thought this was the time to make the move but Ernest Jones takes his 300 how many tackles did he have he had 320 tackles with Rams including 145 last year a Super Bowl championship very good player uh can Blitz can cover it cover receivers tight ends and just an allround very good linebacker we're going to miss him but hey the Rams do this this is what they got to do and if you're a ram fan you just got to cross your fingers and hope they're making the right decision this time you're not going to pay a middle linebacker Mega Bucks especially if they're nursing a knee injury same thing with the safety position and I support that I don't have the details I don't know exactly what's going on with Ernest Jones in the clubhouse erest Jones with his knee or how the Rams feel about this um this linebacking core they're left with but I do not think it means that someone said that they're going to tank this season it's all over they know they're not going to be able to compete that's hogwash still a very good team does need a linebacker or two to step up a little bit hey maybe there's more moves coming down the pipe I think the Rams could make another trade perhaps that's all I'm going to say about that we're going to come back during the round table tonight and talk extensively about the ram 53 man roster which hopefully will be leaking out here any moment and uh at least the initial 53 and I don't know if I can stop Ian and Paul from talking for quite a bit talking quite a bit about this move uh that the Rams have made I don't think they're going to be happy with it uh but we'll talk about that in the 53 man roster later tonight out here from Rams up
