10 WTF Running Backs That Will BREAKOUT Or BUST Week 1 | 2024 Fantasy Football

Intro today we're looking at 10 running backs that fascinate me for week one we're not looking at starts we're not looking at sits we're not even really looking at predictions but I'm looking at these running backs I'm looking at their situation I'm going to talk around them because there's just certain aspects of either the game their situation that I'm very intrigued in that I'm looking at for week one and I want to see what happens I'm also starting some of them I'm benching some of them but honestly I just want to talk about these players what we're going to see in the matchup what we Football interested in I'm fascinated with is Raheem Mo shirt and honestly his ranking is like a low in rb2 right now but we saw over the course of time with the Dolphins last year although the touchdowns were rather high that should regress to like the average but we're in a matchup here we got a 49 and half over under this going to be a fast-paced game he's going to get opportunities he's going to get touches and this is the game where he's fallen in rankings per fantasy pros in they're average with all the expert rankers there 23rd among running backs but the upside so mint here and then you look at the price at $6,400 on DraftKings that's still like moderate I wouldn't say it's high I wouldn't say it's low it's like kind of moderate so DraftKings price tag for reimo St saying hey hey we we kind of like him he's kind of expensive we look at the matchup here it could be some fire going on with this matchup so when I look at that are people like underestimating Raheem moer going into week one he average 18 points per game again the touchdowns should scale back to some degree cuz 18 touchdowns in the season seon is a lot for a running back that's not like a top tier running back like a top three option or whatever but Rahe Mo St though he's got a fire matchup fire situation should be getting some workload should be getting like double digit rushing attempts maybe 10 11 12 13 14 15 something like that I don't know exactly but it should be up there a good bit should be getting workload some of that's in the red zone and we're sitting here ranking almost like an rb3 I think this is a great D'Andre Swift Fantasy Football matchup just to see what happens with DeAndre Swift I am all over the board with him but I think his ranking might be a little bit too high the thing about this is are we going to believe that Caleb Williams is going to check it down is he going to check it down to DeAndre Swift because DeAndre Swift's value and PPR is what's going to matter here and candid DeAndre Swift against the Titans a defense that can coral the Run game a good bit which we saw historically recently we'll have to see once we get into the season can DeAndre Swift run on that and can DeAndre Swift get enough rushing attempts or are they going to Carousel these running backs is he up there too high the upside is immense cuz he could break loose but Caleb Wills we saw this at USC he likes to push it downfield he likes to push it to his wide receivers that was a knock and a great thing for him both ways when you flip the coin that's both good things but for a back like DeAndre Swift for Fantasy Football prow especially in PPR you got to get some of those checkdowns you got to get them in space you got to have room to move to be able to get yards after the catch and then Coach speak talking in the press conferences that the coaches were saying hey we got him as an upside play for this backfield so maybe it's a few carries maybe it's 101 12 and we're seeing a few pops and Caleb Williams back there he lets you know where the Rock's going he's going to push it downfield of them wide receivers he's going to keep the play extended he's going to get it down there how many checkdowns is he actually going to get and we're looking at this Titans game this a low under we got will L we got some variables here that could really impact this team how are you feeling about DeAndre Swift I'm not saying star s again I just think he's fascinating right here when I really look at that and look at the whole scenario of this matchup going for zamir Zamir White Fantasy Football white rb28 so he's an rb3 in value and they're just sounding alarm that he's going to get a lot of volume but out of that we got a 39 and half over under here for this Chargers game the over under just keep keeps diving it was like 41 a couple days ago now we're at 392 so the line's moving down people are saying hey they're not scoring so I got a red alarm on this game with all the fantasy football players in this however with zamir white I expect him to get the rock this game's not going to end z z someone's going to have to get over a 100 yards made someone's going to have to do something in this game and I know volume's going to go his way 21 Rush attempts a game once Josh Jacobs was out if that scales back to the Alexander Madison which I don't think so they were saying in the press conferences in training camp like Hey we're going to just run it a lot they've been saying I expect this game to run fast as in a lot of times going to be burned between plays due to running it a lot on both ends on both teams I expect it be somewhat lowc scoring I can also see it breaking a little bit but zamir why I expect workload I just want to see what it looks like I want to see what this team looks like with Gardner muu I want to see what all that looks like but I feel safe with the touches I feel safe looking at this match up with the touches I just don't feel safe with this Austin Ekeler Fantasy Football matchup as a whole with anybody involved but out of this whole matchup he's the player I feel safest with Austin Eckler RB 33 in rankings per fantasy pros and the thing about this I feel like he's going to catch some checkdowns I think this is going to be great for PPR 42 and 1/2 over under and this is against the Bucks this this is a game script that could break and everything's on Jane Daniels shoulders if Jane Daniels looks like a rookie this could be an ugly game boring to watch it's going to be shitty it's going to be a lot of mistakes or if he starts off in stride looks good we could see a guy like Austin Eckler gets some balls in the flat gets yards after the catch maybe he's not as dust as what we thought last year and rb33 and the rankings rb3 on your team rb4 as a flex maybe that's something you may want to look at or gamble on but also five targets a game last year we could see that here because Brian Robinson isn't going to get all the targets out of the back field he's going to be grinding it between the tackles and this could be like him and in passing scenarios catching the balls out of flat getting yards in space and they got that quick RPO game trying to keep them up right behind that offensive line of course Jaden Daniels last year and his years prior at LSU and Arizona state would get hit a little bit holding on the ball a little bit too long so just making things quicker more fastpac and that lends to Austin Eckler and passing situations this could be a surprise play he's also a player I'm watching too because when you looked at the training camp highlights we did not highlight him overall cuz it wasn't not enough to do a video but he also looked good in those clips like he had that pop back in his step but again that looks different over a whole game over of course of multiple games so that's something to see can Austin Eckler get that pop back in a step can he look good that the question Antonio Gibson Fantasy Football we're asking this week and Antonio Gibson he's on the injury report but maybe not this week maybe next week week after what's his usage going to look like how's he going to be using the pass game is there going to be a lot of check Downs or are they going to push it deep to the wide receivers it's more efficient to really just push it deep to the wide receivers he's got good size adjusted athleticism he's a threat to score on any given week due to that but again I believe it's the rre Stevenson show here and he might get more volume than expect and be more valuable than expected week to week that's something to look at Antonio Gibson I'm not looking at him as a start sit I'm really not really looking at him but I'm watching the touches here I'm fascinated with him if he's not out there week one I'll check week two three four whenever he comes out I want to see how he's used Blake Corum Fantasy Football I want to see if he's even implemented if he's even worth their time Blake K I want to see how he's used as well I want to see if he gets like five touches a game or if he's pushing like 10 with kyen Williams there I want to see how many touches kyen Williams has get because I'm expecting a scale back but nothing crazy I'm expecting the opportunity to scale back from like 25 a game to maybe like 20 to 18 and some of these going to Blake Korum and if something happens to KY Williams then it's going to be the Blake corm show I expect Blake Corum just to ramp up throughout the year as these running backs just get their aches and pains like running backs do but Blake corn is a damn good running back and he's better than Tyler alier as a running back he's better than Antonio Gibson he's better than Zack shanet he's better than Rico outle just pure talent perspective the Situation's really not there right now for Fantasy production but in a matchup like this though if you just want to pray for some fantasy points and you're just trying to make a sexy DFS lineup at the top and just cram in a cheap running back maybe you just hope Blake corm just smashes on this 52 over under and gets some opportunity around the goal line due to the Rams mov the ball a lot with Detroit and maybe that happens if they live up to that over under and if that happens you're going to cat in especially if those high price Players you jammed into that lineup work we talking DFS with that your traditional redraft leagues are not starting him you're stashing him but I'm just watching the touches here going forward I'm watching the snaps and everything else it might be closer than what you Ray Davis Fantasy Football think it might be more than what you think same thing with Ray Davis he might get more than expected RB 48 price tag and this is a game where they're going to be moving to football and it's also last year Cardinals were a bit of a run funnel team ran all over the Cardinals last year you can fix that up but you can only fix that up so much and they're going to be keen on running the ball to start things off that being said James Cook should be getting some upside in this matchup but with Ray Davis as a hope and prayer RB 48 I might be a little bit low in the rankings because we know the bills wanted to use two running backs last year they just couldn't because they didn't have talent to do so if they like Ray Davis which it looks like they do especially between the tackles and pass protection he's going to be on the field and can that lend to an opportunity to fall into the end zone could that lend to an opportunity to catch a few balls or break off that long run he's not a guy you're predicting to hit matter of fact daily fantasy football at DraftKings 4500 price tag he's not in a 3,000 range they're saying hey there is a chance Zack Moss Fantasy Football Zach moss and Chase Brown will be the debate going in the next few weeks we're going to watch the touches and with the T Higgins news these running backs are going to be used even more and now we're going to get a good sample in week one to see how this is going to work I think Zach Moss is going to be used to start things off I think he's very dependable I think he's very reliable if I'm an NFL coach if I got a guy like Zach Moss I'm going to use him I'm going to use him and that being said I believe he's at least going to get to touches that might lead to production and I think Chase Brown will get some opportunity I think this is going to be a thunder lightning scenario and that makes sense both these guys got aspects in their game where you want them on your football team and both these guys have aspects in their game where you're like man I wish I had a little bit more Chase Brown more of the vision more of the reliableness between the tackles Zach Moss has that but he does not have the pop like Chase Brown has if you could really just weld these guys together just make them one running back it'd be a damn good running back one top running backs in the league actually you can't do that so these guys are going to be used intermittently it's going to be situational the situation here could tend to be a Zach Moss game cuz this is going to be a lowc scoring ugly game low scoring ugly games go to the reliable running back and that may be him getting touches and not really scoring that many fantasy points maybe hitting double digits but Chase Brown will get some opportunities too so he just got a Break Free on some of those Ezekiel Elliott Fantasy Football runs Ezekiel Elliott I want to see how dusty he is I want to see how slow he is and I want to see how many opportunities he gets because he's damn good in pass protection and you're going to need that against the Browns so he may be out on the field more than what we realize and Coach speak wise it sounds like they're going to give Ric d a lot of opportunity to run the ball but if that pass rush of the Browns is starting to leak back there Ezekiel ellot is going to be on the field and that may not even be like fancy production but it's going to trip people up snap countwise when they're starting to look at this back field and people may evaluate Zeki Elliot wrong be looking at the snaps looking at the opportunities there because if this Browns pass rush leaks the Dallas and they start sacking Dak things are looking back Zeke's going to be back there pass protecting he's going to be back there and he might get some carries and some catches due to that might get a goal line look he's very dependable due to that a lot of people were looking at Rico D versus Zeke this whole time but again matchup wise I wouldn't be surprised middle of the game you start seeing more Zeke as a pass protector being out on the field then leaked out a little bit in the pass game some runs up the gut and then Rico D they're trying to push him early in the game we're just going to see how these running backs work tip fortat not like a clout thing not like a thing that start or sit any of these running backs but you got to look at the match up think things through like Zeke got opportunity last year with the Patriots with rre Stevenson there due to how reliable he is and we know how dusty Ezekiel is he averaged 10.7 points per game three rb1 weeks he has scored 27 points against Pittsburgh 21 against Denver 17 against the Raiders which are all games that you should be scoring fantasy points in I'm watching cordello Patterson not like a hawk but I want to see what he's going to do with this team because I know about Arthur Smith I know he does weird things and if you're going to do weird things which has already happened with Justin fields and Russell Wilson Cordell Patterson's the next level to the weirdness and he could be getting a couple carries out of the back field they might be trying to get him in space they might try to get creative here with their game plan and maybe they have a few packages a few things installed for Cordell Patterson as a weapon he's there to be the weapon we saw this with some other teams throughout his career and they're going to use him in some facet will it be enough or will it be potent in random scenarios to where he can be productive it's against the Falcons the Falcons got some pieces where they can push the pace here and if the Steelers have to push the pace they may have to get creative it's not like they're jacked at wide receiver they got George Pickins and then some jabronies so what else they're going to do they got the running backs there but you're going to have to get creative if Atlanta at home can push the pace and if that happens maybe Patterson get some opportunities and DraftKings priced him at $4,500 so DraftKings are saying hey something might happen here something might happen here we're not going to price him too low to where he's a free Square something might happen he's not in the $3,000 range Draft Kings is agreeing with me those are 10 running backs that we're looking at today they're just fascinating weird scenarios not for this week but for the weeks next coming up as guys to pick up to watch what's going on with how are
