are you sure all right uh it's been a little while since uh we talked so thought we talk uh and here's where we are with what's going on uh currently with uh what was a hurricane at one point it's an open wave at this moment moving across Southern section some of the Southern parishes of Louisiana and continuing to move northward now some of that Northern band has really congealed and become a huge rain maker in and around New Orleans at the moment Lake P train northward got some super heavy rainfall just talked to brandir or heard from him a few moments ago he is totally just griping about what's happening now with a heavy rainfall there he said he can't see very far he can't see uh Heath in the seat next to him that's how hard it's rain and at this point it's going to continue to move northward now moving away from New Orleans just a little bit in fact here's the way we're going to prove that I'm going to take and draw a line for you there's the northern part of the eyewall if you will and uh I'll go back in time and show you what the radar looked like just a little bit earlier see how it was down here near uh Timber Lane and back over to uh I can't pronounce any of those but now it's moving northward and making its way north of this area Gent over here around mety and into the southern part of Lake P train I know it's coming down bucket loads right about there in mety and on the Northern side of New Orleans you got some very heavy rainfall that's making its way into pona Trin and northward uh but begin to dry out just a little bit I think uh in fact we probably pull up Brett here in a few minutes if he's not frozen and things are looking a little bit drier there at the moment but a lot of rainfall that led to some flash flooding some of the roads close in and around I 10 it looks like Vehicles stranded there at the moment getting a couple of updates here uh this is on the North side again of mry and then in New Orleans proper had a couple of reports here this is uh lawn furniture and trash cans are displaced that kind of happens uh most days at my house that was at 812 though reported by the public small Twigs that are broken there too but into New Orleans propers where the very heavy rain has been fall over the last 30 minutes and at a rate of over an inch even 2 in per hour in some of these locations having made its way across the area New Orleans reported this is a public report actually near the World War II Museum of near hurricane force winds the Asos there the automated station did report a 59 mph gust at 72 so just a couple of hours ago we had a a gust that made it up there around 70 mph the same at the New Orleans Lakefront Airport a 40 mph gust to 70 40 m power sustained gust to 70 some of the higher winds now around Pearl River mandaville into the picun region that'll be taking place over the next hour or two moving northward on i59 as you go through the next hour or two up to baloa and you just see this is a mess now this is all just a huge huge mess it's low pressure center making its way across the region the low pressure center itself South it's going to move through uh Southern Mississippi and uh you'll start to see some of the rain coming in the southwestern side of Alabama too cell uh we'll be looking at Clark County Washington County northward as we go through the night tonight up into chattam and back over to just to the on to sellma Alabama by early tomorrow morning very heavy rain that'll be falling here into the area and a continuation uh moving northward I think as we go through the next 24 hours let me tell you something else that's about to happen is that as this region here goes Eastward some of the forecast modeling suggest that's what's going to happen some of you and if not you some of you do have interest along the Gulf Coast and anywhere from Pensacola I know some of you go to Gulf Shores Orange Beach over to dtin Panama City over the next 24 hours we're going to see the threat for water spouts that would be coming on Shore leading to tornadoes and that's going to be across the Panhandle during the overnight hours tonight the early part of the day tomorrow especially I think early tomorrow morning uh when that threat gets over into dtin for Walton Beach into Panama City early tomorrow morning as it all heads on to the East and that's the way it's going to look already several water spouts that are offshore I can show those to you if you look at the radar you can see the inbound and the outbound uh marker that is very evident here especially we'll go over here to the radar and show you there's inbound and outbound we've got this whole thing during the day today I saw a mixture of about five or six of them right before the sunset now listen tomorrow this is going to track on to the East and I think leaving it's wake a little boundy that'll set up across the Panhandle that should lead to another tornado threat there is a slight risk of strong to severe thunderstorms during the early part of the day tomorrow that goes through the afternoon a slight risk according to the severe stor Prediction Center out of Norman Oklahoma there going to be watching this and um as are we so we'll look at that that'll be coming into Mobile already there is a look this is one right here look how very distinct it is that there's an inbound and an outbound here the radar shows right there very distinct inbound outbound and that's going to be a likely water spout I.E tornado that'll be headed on uh you know northward let's see moving at 28 knots and uh there is some low level rotation you got about 28 knots here Max is at about 8,000 ft so that's uh one that's out there over the Open Water and just a little bit of instability during the day tomorrow a little bit of sunshine will Aiden about this I think it's going to be a a pretty wild afternoon if you look at it in the uh in the data pretty wild afternoon as far as those go spouts and maybe the threat for tornadoes across Southern parts of Alabama Miss Mississippi and probably even into Georgia that we'll be looking at but right now it's all about the water that's coming down here there are flash flood warnings inent in fact for some of these Southern parishes Jefferson Orleans Parish plans and also uh looks like over to Tbone Parish underneath flash flood warnings that have set up there into the area and that'll be a big deal show we have brat do we have his video maybe not brat but anybody else's video because I want to look up the forecast here uh during the day tomorrow well just pull up pull up anybody and get me off of this so I can go and and call up yeah um is that live is it Brad Arnold well the waves are just it kind of looks like it's uh being T fast forwarded because the waves are pretty much repetitive there um hold on one second let me show you what the actual model looks like during the day tomorrow though and I'll call up the latest no I want to call it the Zer Z all right you come back uh here for a second and take a look at this this is um this is the her model which doesn't it's not a really good tropical model but it does in fact show what we're expecting what I think is going to happen during the day tomorrow which is this is 10:00 tonight and you can see that outer band on the western side that'll be moving across the western part of the pan handle that'll go Eastward kind of fizzle out tonight but really I think uh we're going to see quite a bit of moisture build on that this is out over the open Gulf and at this point this is 6:00 a.m. tomorrow morning and it kind of lines up from Pensacola down into the Gulf of Mexico and I I'm just telling you these going to be water spouts early tomorrow morning that'll start to show up in places like Denon F Walton Beach these would be coming northward too the movement would be northward today I saw several on the radar that look like they were moving east to west that's because the low pressure was back to the west but these going to be moving northward notice the little kidney bean shape that the radar is drawing these are all going to be rotating that's what that little kidney bean shape means there'll be plenty of them out offshore even I wouldn't go fishing offshore tomorrow uh and then these coming to Panama City this is by you know 8 9:00 in the morning then around 10:00 a.m. uh that just kind of that whole feeder bam because the low will be working its way northward across Mississippi the feeder band's going to get left behind and that leaves an axis of instability here and an axis of you know the likelihood of structurally having inbound and outbound through the entire day that's 2: p.m. 3 p.m. uh and then moving on the feeder band moves a little bit further on to the East and the leftover in the wake of all this is just scattered black I I see this on Friday looks like you get back to partly sunny day on Friday across a lot of the Panhandle into the Sunshine State but that means late afternoon uh thunderstorms will be in abundance across the area too out over the open Gulf of Mexico and just a lot of instability that is left over there there so that's the likelihood of what we'll be seeing during the day tomorrow uh I don't know that the N would look anything different this is the new n that's just now beginning to come across different model is what it is and once again just tons of instability there because of the feeder band that'll be moving through timing is 6:00 a.m. tomorrow morning in Pensacola Destin for Walter meet sometime around that time and then 8:00 a.m. you can see there's a cluster there coming in into atin for Walton Beach then into Panama City after 9:00 a.m. or so and then uh move on Eastward with broken showers and occasional thunderstorms there let me go up here and look into Alabama though now here's the core of the precept that'll be coming on through as well we'll go back in time put this into motion show you what we're expecting during the day tomorrow so there's the shield of rain coming into Alabama but all of I55 Mississippi over into Alabama I 59 going northward here comes the low pressure center from the south this is 500 a.m. when the low will be just to the South and Southwest of Hattisburg and then move northward uh right on up I 55 if you will the shield of moisture will be right there across Northern sections of Mississippi the heavy downpours but look in its wake there'll be this area across South Alabama which will lead to isolated tornadoes I think during the early part of the day tomorrow that's uh 1100 a.m. noon time right there uh 1:00 and scattered thunderstorms will still be around then you got some stuff coming into Birmingham about 4 or5 and that's actually in association with the low pressure tomorrow you can say you're part of what was a hurricane you get a little Feeder band action there into Birmingham that's 6 7 o'l tomorrow night and then headed on Eastward baloney why did I do that I didn't mean to do that I'm sorry sorry and then headed on Eastward toward Aniston gadston and an errant tornado one two could still pop up out of that mass uh also so um let's look at some of the cameras if you want to run through the cameras here briefly I see has CAM 8 that's pretty busy I don't know where that's at but do have some action there on that camera that's going to be moving uh that's Jennifer Jennifer mman is right there into some parking lot it looks like got some easily some 35 40 mph winds that are blowing maybe some guns that are higher in those areas look at those trees there into the foreground and the Sheets of Rain running across the parking lot there plenty of uh activity there that's going on lefo terone Paris you're underneath flashl Warning by the way that's going to continue for the night tonight till that All Passes on through the rest of the area there too but Jennifer McMahan uh she's had great video touring the day today and continuing to see some of those showers developing and moving on to the East and the high winds associated with the low pressure center itself having passed through the southern portions of the state and now making their way uh on Eastward and I got let's see do I have anything here getting pretty close to having a couple of tornado warnings I think coming in from the south because there's still some some inbound and outbound stuff coming in just south of Pascagoula and over to Ocean Springs Mississippi uh goet to Van Cleave right along I 10 uh basically there's quite a bit of stuff coming in off of the Gulf of Mexico as hurricanes go you know we didn't have a ton of warnings today we didn't have a bunch of tornado warnings we had uh uh you know winds that did get in Access of 100 miles per hour from time the time into Southern portions of Louisiana and we can't really effort getting there because of the high water in some cases Brett I think uh had a camera that went underwater there we'll try to get some video of that uh Brett is uh okay I've seen him on social media during the day today but we haven't really spoken to him yet we'll try to speak to him at some point before this event is over with and he's driving back northward but uh pretty much what you see is what you get here on the radar and uh you know if there's any consolation to this at all it is that the southern portions of Louisiana are now fairly dry if you look at the radar there again on the north side of Lake pona train look how the thing cuts off dramatically there's no moisture down here um none and this one feeder band is really where all the moisture is at the moment and that's headed on northward across I55 really and into the Eastern side of the state so I just wanted to give you a quick uh wrap here of what was going on and what to expect tomorrow morning uh I'm probably going to pipe in here I've got a vantage point tomorrow morning in Panama City on the 14th floor where I can look out to the South because I really think it's going to be a uh kind of a a day of water SP and maybe water spouts that turn into you know Marine warnings that turn into tornado warnings coming on Shore for some of those counties in long I 10 Across the Western Panhandle so uh at this moment as of a few moments ago let's see if they've updated still the 8:00 advisory they'll push a new 10 o' here in a few minutes but right now uh been downgraded maximum stained wind 75 this still call in a hurricane but I think it's going to be downgraded here I haven't seen any winds in excess of 75 so the next update should be a downgrade below hurricane Force the airport reporting 37 miles per hour gust to 49 that's not a hurricane uh 29 980 millibars so fairly weak at the moment uh the local pressure coming northward the feeder bands most of which are on Shore they did just issue a marine warning it looks like for that thing down to the South this is a water spout possible special Marine warning there storm cable of producing water spouts just off to the South and yeah you can see them if we put on the relative uh the velocity data here that takes a look at all this and it's indicating once again that there is the likelihood of a water spout right there clearly an inbound and an outbound right about there and there's quite a bit of lightning I don't know if you can see the lightning strikes that are coming in and that's inative sometimes of a tornado Genesis water spelt Genesis whatever you want to call it few other areas there that we're looking at too so you may actually see some some tornado warnings that fire off later on uh tonight up until the Midnight Hour so for now we're going to wrap it up we're going to wrap it up because I don't have anything else to say you've seen it all we've been with you through the day today and kind of looked at what was happening the events of the day today but tomorrow's a new day we'll be looking at that and what is going on and talk about the rest of uh the coming week actually when we have uh have a couple more systems that are out there that we'll be looking at we'll be talking about those as we go through the next 48 hours and see what's happening way out into the Atlantic got a couple of things coming in off the coast of Africa that we were watching yesterday that have now been paged let me see if I can pull those up let's do this right there you can see this there's Francine We Got U let's do the 7day and that's what it looks like for the 7day period two systems out there east of leeward Islands another one which is number seven that is couple of well 500 Miles off the coast of Africa it looks like little system off the Atlantic Seaboard but that ain't going to be thing and what are it say in east of the leewards slow pressure that's there 10% 10% 20% 20% these are all low chances but uh the likelihood uh as they move a little bit further east of moving into some more conducive areas water temperature is still super warm out in that region the heat content is high and it's uh pretty much ready for what it's going to do so I'm I'm Dave and um uh Jarvis is with me on the other side of things he's been running things through the day today our very own Drew Richards uh with us a little bit under the weather and Drew we love you and hope you get to feeling better here pretty soon no he's not two seconds all right I'm gonna hang out here for a second till uh Brett joins me is he FaceTiming me what is he doing is he he's something I think he's got some Dame bramage and he doesn't really know what he's doing I think he just tried to Face Time me we wouldn't be able to hear him though through my iPad I don't know I know with these four cameras I keep the wipers are almost in total uh synchronization which freaks me out did you notice they're in like yeah you notice those kind of things like used to be like when I was at church I notic two bricks that were the same behind the preachers head um cuz they were fabricated and I wasn't listening Brett two seconds he said I know he better hurry what are we doing I guess we could take a look at my fish camera yeah if you got the thing to Jeopardy we're not yeah we're not allowed to play that what have we not taking a look at yeah hello the power's out really already Ono we got a flash flood emergency here um so we dealt with some areas of I 10 when we were driving in that were covered already try that again you had a we we've had some areas of I 10 that were covered in water from flash flood emergency when we yeah were coming in to town Brandon do you hear that hold on Brett Brandon do you hear that he got feedback I got like three or four bretts in my head hold on a second I think I know one oh I see you there or I see the ceiling yeah hold on let me let me see if I can let me see if I can pull out the uh I was throwing stuff in my bag so I don't even know I got my earbuds or not um if I don't it it it'll be all right turn the volume down on your yeah we can tough through it for a minute I'll let you talk all right um hold on just one second did we win today David by the way lost to the Nationals yep and then we lost Lopez for the rest of the season it looks like one yeah Brandon told me that Brad told me that earlier to day yeah um okay you just tell me when you're ready for me to go and I I'm assuming my audio okay there we go that was nice yeah um we got a lot of feedback is it going over the air is the feedback going over the air Brandon Brandon I wouldn't imagine so I think it's probably just gonna be a looping on us but it could be then you you tell me what you know okay uh heck of a day down uh uh in kadry dlac tabone Parish we had uh significant storm surge down there near the floodgates um on the protected side we didn't really have much water as of the time period when we left um this evening we had a lot of water on the other side we had our remote camera down there it was about 8 ft above ground level it's completely underwater it was taking waves and it's completely underwater water uh we ended up losing that camera at some point but we have a uh we have a time lapse we do have video that was able to be saved off of that so we're pulling that video we're going to create a time lapse so we'll be able to put that over the air at some point um now we have retreated back to the north we had to duck and Dodge trees and power lines the entire way and then uh at the community of duac um there's several Lakes there uh Lakes inlets uh canals those lak basically Spilled Out over the road with uh one to three feet of water that we had to Traverse through until we got north of town and were able to get back into hom uh where there was some pretty good wind damage uh that we ended up surpassing by with some uh large trees power lines and I think there was a roof came off of a structure and from what I understand it sounds like that structure collapsed so there was a completely destroyed uh building there they were doing some search and rescue in the hom area when we left um when we got back into the I don't want to call it the northern eyewall anymore it like a big feeder band that coming off wrapping around when we got in that Northern Band still 70 m per hour type gust uh maybe a little better on I 10 we ended up going up toward LL uh where you and I have some history from Ida and um at that point we we had we were getting blown all over the interstate because it is elevated in nature through there and you're on the western side of Pon um as we turned around and came back because we missed our turn going into New Orleans sure um going into New Orleans we ended up seeing a lot of flooding that was beginning in prompted a flash flood emergency out toward the airport which is near Kenner uh in the west side of the Metro so we are in downtown very little rain here at all right now um what we're planning to do is uh our our old buddy will nun hooked us up um they've got food here for another 30 minutes we're going to clean up leave our stuff here and we're probably going to go back out and see if we can find anything in the flood zones here probably within the hour after we grab some food and uh and get cleaned up a little bit yeah um you know is as I know you've been through higher winds much higher winds in in many different cases uh and certainly not a a dud by any means because I know a lot of people are going to be affected and like you said simply the fact that a lot of people are going to go without power tonight is is you know bad enough bad enough especially you know down there this time of the year um is that really the worst of it you think you you think there's more uh water damage than wind damage more power outages and that kind of thing certainly you you've got some trees that have come down further to the north because uh the north side of the storm is definitely very wet so I would imagine that there's probably a lot of uprooting that took place because when we were you know down toward the coast we saw a lot more uprooting than we saw snapped trees so it was due to saturated soil um that that H happened really quickly from the rainfall um I would imagine down there in the the immediate coastal areas definitely going to be some issues we saw one boat that had sunk in a canal so that's going to be a part of a problem too but uh it it really looks like to me relatively speaking it's pretty minor other than the power outages that you're going to have to deal with and we may see more in the way of problems with tornadic activity as this system shifts to the north and east Inland across portions of Far East Louisiana Mississippi Alabama uh and even further to the north as we go into you know Thursday and Friday yeah I'm showing the slight rist that goes up you know kind of there into the southwestern side of uh Alabama but the pan handle as well and I don't know if you've seen the model most of the models the N the everything kind of brings that feeder band that one loone feeder band almost bare clinic in nature that comes across early tomorrow morning and uh it looks like I mean if you just look at it uh in the model there everything looks like a kidney bean coming on Shore and I got to believe that's going to be you I got to believe that's going to be a pretty big deal tomorrow morning from like I mean it really looks like dtin you know maybe in Pensacola at daylight and then moving through across dtin into Panama City uh I got a camera up in Panama City that we'll be looking at in fact I'm probably going to be on the 14th floor uh standing above that camera because looks like it could be a decent little event as it comes on Eastward and maybe even as the you know if you think about it we were talking about this spread dynamically speaking the low goes northward along at 55 but the actual feeder band is Left Behind kind of right there into the what we call the Big Bend of Florida and that may lead to you know some training stuff some off and on stuff that last through the afternoon across portions of the state well that's that's where you also get your instability access that kind of funnels up ahead of that too so it gives you a better chance to destabilize and a along with that that Shear axis that feeder band is going to be your main Shear Zone too so absolutely right I can see there being some problems in there yeah all right B I know you're tired I'm gonna jump um well I mean it all depends I'm gonna look at the radar and assess here in a bit and I'll be back in touch with you David you know thank everyone for tuning in to us throughout the day today um again pretty good landfall scenario that we dealt with and it's not over yet so don't let your guard down um again we're going to get cleaned up grab a bite and then we may end up headed back out and I'll get back in touch with you and let you know what the plan is sounds good brother D and again I'm going to wrap it up right here we appreciate you being with us through today today we'll be up again sometime tomorrow especially we have video for you Brat's going to have some video on the LSM Channel you want to check that out the uh camera that he's talking about I've seen some of that preliminary stuff there and then again all of our folks who are out and about you can see at the top of the screen here we talked to uh Brad Arnold during the day today uh spoke to Brad he see his video he still got some pretty active video going on there you might check him out on his channel and the abundance of Liv storms media LSM uh the posy as we call them that are out and uh enduring this weather so uh we'll wrap it up for now and for Jarvis and Drew and myself we appreciate you watch watching and we'll probably see you again tomorrow
