[Music] in June 2024 NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams launched to the International Space Station AB boing Starliner spacecraft what was meant to be a weeklong test flight has turned into an extended state with the astronauts now potentially facing months in space so this whole operation of alignment becomes extremely complex because it has to match perfectly and for each change even if it's a minor change there is thrust or Force required during the uh docking period there was this malfunction which was detected during STAR liner's Flight Engineers detected unexpected technical issues while Wilmore and Williams are safe on ISS these issues have raised concerns about their safe return home NASA is carefully evaluating the risks before deciding how to bring them home safely multiple options are being considered as far as staying in a space is concerned and there have been many studies conducted uh including studies on health issues that may arise because of zero gravity there the technical issue of helium uh is is uh a very different case because helium is used to pressurize uh the hydrogen and fuel in cryogenic engines uh and any weak detected by or through uh helium uh can cause a major problem and safety problem but he health issues as far as are concerned uh they have to be taken into account here sun and Wilmore could still return on the Starliner if the issues are resolved if not they may have to wait until February next year for their Journey Back Home possibly on a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft of here it's like opening the refrigerat NASA states that the space station is well stocked with supplies and the astronauts are continuing the scientific work while Engineers work on a solution to bring them home safely is heat it up so something like this I'm pulling out barbecued beef brisket pretty yummy
