Think growing up as an Aussie, you know, the Aussie men have done so well in the British Open. So, um, even though the first couple of times I won the British Open, it wasn't a major, I think I've always classed it as a major because it's been such an important part of Australian golfing history greeting. What did it mean to win the HSBC Women's World Championship this year in Singapore? Yeah. Um, it was amazing. A very thrilling finish for everyone. Um, I knew where I stood in the leaderboard. I am a leaderboard watcher, but, um, I think the part on the last you could kind of see my face, I was starting to light up as it was kind of tracking towards the pin. I actually had a lot of people from Perth watching me that week, so it was really cool to get my hands on that trophy. Yeah, very special. Yeah, I remember jumping pretty high off the couch when you made the pots. It was nice to have all the Aussies praying the champagne. Yeah, that's good. Even if they did get me in the eye. So the win in Singapore, how does that sum up when all the wins and perhaps how the season was going that year? I'd come off a, uh, a couple of lean years, so, um, wasn't feeling, um, super confident with my game. So I think, um, uh, I'd, I'd always liked, I I I've loved playing all over the world and, um, you know, HSBC had had always put on a, um, a great tournament in Singapore and I, and i, I, I just loved actually being in Singapore and, and experiencing the city. I think it's, it's one of the coolest, uh, places that we play. Now that you're back playing another open, how much do you think it has changed since you played your first open championship In the late nineties? Two, two thousands. We start, instead of just playing wo every year, they started moving it around and we started playing more links, golf courses, which, you know, again, was great because, you know, I'd watched the men play on those courses as a kid. So third playing of the women's open here at St. Andrews and, um, it just feels bigger and better than it did even in 2013. Yeah, absolutely. I've known you for a long time now, back before you turned pro. Um, is there any amazing nuggets of wisdom that I've, uh, passed on? Can't say I have any screenshots from anything that I read every day, but, um, I think it's just knowing that I have you a phone call away. Um, you know, if I'm ever stuck, um, with any decision that I need to make on or off the golf course that you're always there, what you do for us girls back in Australia, having a scholarship, even though you're not playing as much as you would now, still being involved, um, it makes a big difference for the future generation and, um, I think that's where I see the most progress. So, yeah. I'll, uh, put the check in your locker green. What would it mean to win a women's open here at the old course? I mean, I guess it would be everyone's dream to win here of all places. Um, with my Scottish roots from my mother's side, that would be a very awesome way to cap off these few weeks. But I actually have a lot of family coming here to watch me, so I will have a lot of people to cheer for me, which is, um, obviously rare when we're up this way. But, um, yeah, the home of golf, um, such an iconic view, obviously right behind us. I would love to have that. Yeah, Maybe you can do, do too. Yeah, I'll, I'll, uh, I'll be there on 18 if you're there on 18 for me. Okay.
