Drake just what was it like for you kind of taking another step forward it looked like tonight uh you got yeah um you know I think it felt good being out there I think the biggest thing is just just hurting ourselves offensively um stalling drives with penalties and I got to get us out of the Huddle probably faster um other than that U had a snap on the ground just little things like that um got to clean up but at the same time it's a good learning experience for us and uh get ready for you know when things are you know start counting so kind of wowed all with that play that fall back unfortunately on that penalty take us through that play when you hit KJ yeah uh I think they went Cloud we kind a high low concept to the left I was trying to work backside and end up um getting outside the pocket and I think it would have been close if I passed the line it was definitely real close I'm not sure what TV copy looked like but uh um yeah KJ just making a play and um bummer got called back but just same thing you know hurting ourselves and in a two-minute Drive can't do that Dr on that first drive you got in the game right down the field for a touchdown what was working for you guys feel like on that yeah um I think the guys are just doing their jobs I think that's the biggest thing executing executing plays that we practice all week um know Finding guys my job is to get the ball to them and um you know just you know again you know backed up and we had a snap um you know a low snap and probably should have caught it and uh you just I think we were second and 18 from there just can't you know shoot ourselves in the foot you know little things like that um against a good football team um you like like we got lucky tonight so just got to start better how much different do you feel you are now as as opposed to when this training camp started yeah I think it's uh you I think it's an awesome training camp uh not only get our defense but to mix in other defences and going out there and playing and you know feeling like getting hit I think uh I think we're getting there I think it's been fun out there with with some of the Rooks you know JP Madeon plays tonight I'm sitting over there in the corner um just get some of the rookies together and um you know find Laden was in a Right Guard so just kind of kind of molding kind of finding our groove so uh you know it's been it's awesome camping you know it's been it's been tough too you know and our rookie season's been long we've been going at it you since for draft so uh just looking forward to you know getting to see what the NFL season's like Jake it looks like you got jostled a couple times coming away from Center think got stepped on one time yeah can can you tell us what was happening yeah I'm just trying to secure the snap I got to get out of there um but also I think the big dude uh that nose tackle I think 91 was number um he's a good player so uh got get out of there faster and you know Nick's doing you know he of job fighting in there so uh get away from center with with the fumbled snap what's the issue on that yeah um I just think you know it's um you know when you practice you know pregame and over on the side it's a little different than when somebody's up there right against you so uh we figured something out and think on the sideline after that first drive and and from there on we we were uh it just kind of it felt good so Drake on the compion of Jil and just what did you see there on that yeah uh I just had a high low Crossing concept um you know JP did a nice job weaving through traffic and um you have to try to get him a good ball and and catch him run from there so I think he does a nice job um you know mixing up different spots with JP you know playing out Outside Inside um we inside at night and does a good job of getting open so my job is give him the Rock and let him do his thing j would you feel ready to play week one if you were ask yeah yeah I think I would feel ready um I think I'm you know ready for whoever this football team asking me and ready to get out there and uh try to help us be the Bengals week one you mention getting in and out of the how much you think you improve terms yeah I think you know command the Huddle um is you know a huge thing for quarterback I think I'm getting there um you know kind of trying to improve every week I think you know one thing on the side I want off line said I just go in there I speak real fast I kind of do hear media too I just got to slow down sometimes um just hearing the play and kind of you know look around and and like I said a little command of the Huddle but other than that I feel like have my eyes on the play clock well and just kind of you know hurrying guys up to try to get some playoff 20K practices preseason games kind what have you learned now basically as you get ready yeah uh biggest thing playing probably learn is just you know just next play mental you know you take you know whether it's a good play Bad play um play you wish you had back you know had a few of those tonight let's move on to the next play It's the next play um type League it's next week type League you know in this in the NFL is what I'm learning and uh you know other than that just enjoy it you know have fun you know it's it's sad you know but the reality is some of these guys especially these rookies are going to be gone uh you know come next week and just enjoy those days you know with those guys you you creating great memories and enjoy the times out here with with with the fellas we were talking top earlier last week mentioned just pre- snap like the tools at your disposal especially to handle like pressure and things like that how do you feel like you've come along in that area yeah I think it's huge in this offense um know especially when we're not out here and preas with some vanilla looks you know especially pressure wise um you I a smart kid that can you know did a lot of you protection stuff in college me and my Center was all on us protection wise and um I we did a good job not having Free Runners you know back there but it's a different kind of League here now um they try to skem me up so um yeah definitely the tools different tools to protect myself and really protect the offense um I'm getting there I've done you know a few of them in practice um so try working through them and see different looks each week so thank youall
