Amon-Ra details contract extension process, Filming Netflix's 'Receiver' & Why EQ signed with Saints

with another episode I know it's been a while but we're back for you guys cuz we love you guys um we're actually right now at the noise net studio in Hollywood some pretty special guests you can say have been here um the baby sedi you know she went to SC so that's always big I don't know who from Notre Dame was I I don't know if there's artists in Notre Dame that even do anything but like I said sede was here so we're in Hollywood in the mecca um but yeah Big off season for for a lot of us um we just came back from Germany Germany Trip & Football Camp what you think yeah I showed up a couple days later than my family obviously you know that um but my OTAs ran a little longer I had mini camp so I flew straight out of New Orleans to New York then in Germany met my family there we had a St Brown Camp our second one in Germany it was a great show out more kids showed up in last year was better every year we're getting better every year the kids in Germany get better so it's always a good show out um I think it's great for the family great for you know the kids and their families as well you know get to see some NFL players in Germany that's a rare occasion for German kids I think we need to get more of our teammates to go out to Europe or different countries you know just to spread the NFL in different countries and make it a more Global sport that's very important I think so I think we did a good job of that and we should keep continuing doing that moving forward we're not going to address that you're with the Saints now oh yeah yeah yeah like how'd that how'd that go yeah so you know Ty but take start from the beginning start from beginning don't Why Equanimeous signed with Saints just say like I sound with the same I'm start from top top so Chicago Chicago didn't want you no more like what's up with them okay season ended Lions didn't want me that's crazy anyways season ended yeah yeah you know I'm a free agent Lions didn't want me um it's not over yet season hasn't started he he ain't shown no love he a talk to Dan Campbell he ain't talk to nobody he ain't talk to nobody can you give me time to work no time over I'm Saints I'm a saint now so okay just like my last name oh the Saints so anyways he didn't talk to nobody left me out the dry anyways so uh I wasn't going to go back to Chicago uh I just felt like it wasn't a good fit for me moving forward so talked to a couple other teams uh Giants Chargers uh who else Titans and obviously the Saints and I felt like the Saints was the best fit for me um for my career and I'm glad I went there you know spent the offseason there OTAs was great you like the city yeah it's cool I mean I haven't done much in it yet I feel like I Explore More as season goes on but um I Heard food's great still have to you heard like you been there I heard I heard I don't know I got to know where have you eaten like I went to dros someone told me to go there what is it what kind of f is all the same food it's like no it's soul food like no like sea foodish you know like but I think I'm not going to right places cuz a lot of my restaurants I went to is self- research and I feel like I got to know yeah BR you got to ask the teammates that I know I got I went to dragos it was uh was right I think people don't understand how good food is in La like people under underestimate it like food in La is top tier in the world so I know they say New Orleans has the best in the world I'm not saying it doesn't I'm just saying I haven't seen it yet so hopefully I will see it moving forward um but yeah so it's been good it's been a good offseason looking forward to the season but bigger news is your contract why you smiling why about it Amon-Ra details contract negotiations why you giggling tell us how that went down like it was good it was good um you know I knew something was going to happen eventually after the season I just didn't know when um talked to my agent Joby who's with Vanguard he told me you know that he's going to start talking to them after after the season's over but it might take a while it might it can either go really quick really long or might take a few months and so I knew going into it I mean I know the Lions wanted to get a deal done we wanted to get something done on our end and um took about three or four months he would call me like every two weeks update me with the situation um but I think Joe from I that was my first like second deal or contract whatever but Joby said it was one of the like smoothest deals he's ever done like big deal so that was good news um but I was I was excited um you know thankful for people that helped me get here you guys my family cliche um just everything it was great M um wait wait the fans want to know did you cry I actually did not cry you sure I was close too but I didn't um I didn't cry I thought about like I was in the car talking to Papa like boom boom boom and then he hung up and I'm like damn should I cry but once took other vacations somewhere else so yeah I went on um obviously we went to Germany but I went to Australia actually where your homeland of your beautiful lovely girlfriend is from exactly um me and my girl went to Sydney in Australia for like a 14 hour flight it sounds bad but okay I'm going be honest I was like I had like a lean back bed so it was it was cool but on the way there so listen we last minute flight she's like I want to go on vacation you don't take me anywhere I'm like all right we're going to do something like just just trust me so this is like a week before I'm like [ __ ] it we're going to Australia I want to go to Brazil that was was too hard to get there was like connecting flights I wanted a direct flight to wherever I was going so Brazil was no actually Hawaii first N I already did that Brazil no then where do we want to go next I looked at oh France like Paris looked at the weather shitty wasn't going this is like in March didn't want to do that had to be good weather I'm like let's go to Australia it's another continent I've never hit it you've never been there so I'm already above him on like the amount of continents that I've been to um so I was like let's go to Australia I look at the flights I'm like I got to get like this is a 14-hour fly got to be able to lean back but since it was so late they had no more first class tickets so on the way there I had a regular you know regular coach ticket it wasn't that bad honestly I was they fed you a few times I was flew Delta um and I would say I was up for probably like six hours slept the other the rest of the other time and then on the way back though it was super nice like being able to sleep lay back watch TV or movies um but Australia was cool how was it I heard everything about the flight nothing about Australia that's what I'm saying Australia what it reminds me of I don't know if how many of you guys have been in or been to Europe it's like a mixture of Europe and America first of all driving don't [ __ ] drive out there okay you you I promise you'll die WR side of the road wrong side of the road I'm over here like oh [ __ ] Uber driving oh [ __ ] like I couldn't do nothing if I was driving uhuh okay left side police you don't really I mean they say like be care they gota watch how you drive everything but like you don't really see any police out there it's weird but it's again they say it's a safe City but after we left something happened in Australia so I don't know how safe it is but um it was fun it was it's a country not city but go ahead in Sydney did I say Sydney you said it's a great City yeah Sydney is a great City I know we were talking about Australia no I wasn't you say Australia no but beaches were cool Bondi Beach um there's waterers different out there like they have like jellyfish and I don't know what it is like it's dangerous I heard on the same end like as you're walking there's like small jellyfish yeah like weird but um it was fun what you you go on any vacations yeah me and uh my girlfriend we took a cruise from Miami to the Caribbean 10day cruise no 7-Day Cruise 7-Day Cruise a little long a little long uh I think why is that it's just you're stuck on a boat for so long you know just I feel like you had a bigger group it would be better but just you your girl twoo long with her I just feel like 4 days is perfect it's just on the boat you know you don't want be on a boat for that long in general anywhere in life like maybe some people like do you just said you would like to do it with a bigger group than I thought about it no so like with her it was too long some people do 9 months cruises six month cruises that's too much like you know you can't do that like four days off it's almost anywhere in vacation like even Germany low key was too long for me I knew a cruise with Brooklyn for seven days easy you said it was too long you told me it was too long I can show the messages what was you want show the messages show you that what was too long he said it's too long what Australia no cruises no I never yourfriend one second you better hope it's not on my phone right now there's you go Australia after my Cruz before my CR I don't remember but uh I have another question for you go ahead have you been T have you talked to Jamal Williams I have yeah what is it like what do he say like what was it he likes uh cuz he went from you to me back to you yeah yeah we were on the same team as after he went to no he went to Detroit when I went to Chicago but yeah he uh he likes Saints um he's also you know he's a vet been going on N going on nine years I think so running back it's pretty impressive so um but you know he is great guy I think he'll have nothing bad to say about no matter where he's at so um he's just happy to he's just happy to play football for as long as he can he just loves the sport so you can tell by the way he plays the way he practices and all that but what are you going to miss most about Chicago you think I would say some of my teammates some of my friends in the receiver room uh we got some good times you know good times can't can't can't elaborate on that rated our stuff but we got some good times you know what do you mean I I just said I can't elaborate radar you're too young you're talking about outside the facility yeah yeah you're too young oh we some good we some good times in the city too but in Chicago or like different cities Chicago different cities too where the other cities I don't look like you're starting over your wor I I don't I don't remember we went to like Miami New York we did go to Miami too oh we did yeah scami tell tell them about that as as a look for the screenshot tell that was my first time in Miami not my first time but my second first time doesn't really count I was like 14 years old um Miami was fun we he all these stories about Miami it wasn't what people was like the stories I was envisioning wasn't that but it was uh it was definitely an experience like the restaurants you you go there here in La it's like you go out to eat like I go out to eat with my girl it's quiet I can talk to her like and hear her talk I go to Miami like you can't talk to no one there's dancers here left and right music dropping boom we went to a steakhouse you know bottle service when you get when you go to a club you get bottle service they bring out the bottle we're at a restaurant they have steak service they're bringing out the steak everyone's coming it's like you know when you have a happy birthday at a at a restaurant all the workers start singing all the workers are coming the steak is Jump literally jumping out of the box like crazy I've never seen anything like it in my life um so definitely uh tell the fans tell me what it was like you know going through that experience it was it was honestly it was easy it was not too invasive they did a great job of making it like seamless like what they recorded me or miked me up once once a week for practice so I was miked up I think it was every Wednesday because that's like the biggest Practice Day in the NFL Tuesday's off Wednesday is your biggest work day so they would mic me up on Wednesdays um and the camera crew would be there for practice and then that's it for the week and then they'd mic me up on game days every game day camera Cruz would be there you know I don't know did they ever mic you guys up at any of the games uh maybe a few yeah but they only maed the family up like three times four times probably but me every game and then outside of the facility I probably did like five or six things that it's not even like they asked me to do it it's like oh I know you do this like on your off day can we come record it it's not like we want you to go do this can we record it so it was uh natural yeah super easy um but I'm excited for I'm I haven't seen the whole thing yet I've only seen some parts um so I'm excited to go watch the whole thing and it's uh you know in its entirety with all the athletes um you know I was talking to Devonte his I feel like everyone's story is different like everyone's outcome of the Season obviously with the Raiders his was probably not how he wanted to go um Justin Jefferson got hurt the Niners go all the way to the Super Bowl don't win we get close so everyone's story is different everyone's background is different and I think Netflix is going to do a great job of showing the fans not just what we do on the field honestly yes what we do on the field like you guys
