53 Man Roster Deadline

today guys we're going to be uh talking about the Chicago Bears roster cuts um so today uh the deadline uh for the 53 man roster was today and uh we're gonna be going over uh some surprise cuts and also also goingon to be going over um some other uh you know players that we kind of already knew that was going to make the team we're gonna go dive deep into this and this is the um pretty much the uh pretty much the depth chart right now they already uh finished uh the cuts already so we're GNA be going over uh certain ones today so um of course as you can see right here this is the Chicago Bears uh depth chart um so far right here um of course the QB Caleb Williams can you enlarge that for me Co because it's really really small bro yeah yeah yeah can you see it that's good enough yeah that's good enough right all right so of course we got Caleb Williams and Tyson bent Austin Reed and Brett rippen were cut uh today uh Brett whippin uh they they put him on waivers um today and they also put Austin ree on waivers and um you know depending on if anything happens like if Tyson bent or Caleb Williams Gart maybe you know they might bring um Austin Reed back I'm guessing somebody might take Brett ripping because I mean he's pretty much a serviceable backup uh so far um in this leag and then um when you go to your running backs you got DeAndre Swift khil Herbert Roshan Johnson and Travis Homer now this one is kind of an interesting uh kind of interesting um thing right here in regards to uh Travis Homer as well uh I know Ian whe he uh got put on yeah he got put on a longterm IR krie blosson game actually he got cut and so they're trying to figure out where they're gonna put him on waivers too they cut the only fullback that we had on the roster yeah they caught Kyrie blasting game wow yeah I I didn't really expect it I mean I thought they were gonna cut Travis Homer that was a little bit of a surprise to me I guess probably because he's pretty you know valuable with the Special Teams I think that's why they probably kept him I mean who knows um of course when you go to uh the help me understand bro before we go help me understand welcome out there K yeah I mean it doesn't make any sense I think he was even what injured last year too he had some injured I think even this year too what what ran his toe over at the grocery store because he he didn't do it on the football field that n he's not a good running back too he's horrible even in preseason he wasn't even good I mean but bro you Cory blasting game is an integral part of everything that the Bears offense runs you know and it doesn't matter whose offense it was whether it was uh uh um Shane Waldren or uh what's his name luk gses this guy is instrumental he is a big blocking piece and he's a great pass catcher coming out the backfield bro I don't understand why you keep driving homeo over this guy it doesn't make any sense bro dud they even kept veis Jones too um why I don't know if you can see him on here but yeah he's also on the rock yeah in the in the slot receiver the backup slot receiver why probably back slot and bro I thought they cut Colin Johnson we kept Colin Johnson uh that's why I was going to go to the wide receiver room yeah they cut Colin Johnson as well um they also cut him too and who else did they also cut another one but I'm looking at this list right here they still got him out here bro I don't know why but yeah he got cut um Colin Johnson's not on the team right um yeah he's not on the team but yeah uh I mean of course yeah you got your your wide receiver room Dante Pettis he's on the IR of course you got DJ Moore Keenan Allan Roma dun um Tyler SC he's your fourth option December Webster he's on IR Dante Pettis is on IR I guess this is not too much of the updated yeah I'm about to say I'm a little confused at what I'm looking at right now bro because Cory blasting game still on here at the fullback position yeah he's not he's not let me let me go to the other one yeah I'm gon little confused looking at this list but that that sorry from from what I from what I've been reading and hearing today this list is inaccurate that's that's not the ball he can't handle the pill he can't protect the rock why are we so in love with this dude yeah yeah I see that too Red Beard they did cut jari Carter yeah they cut him too I he was he was mid tier he was mid TI he he was hanging on by a thread after last year anyway to be honest with you I kind of hate I don't understand why they kept veis Jones That Guy Can't Catch veis Jones is nothing more than a trophy piece for Ryan poles because he was his first ever drive pick uh he plays running back also now thanks flip welcome to the show uh they're trying to slide him in at running back you got be able to hold the ball to play running back bro he can't hold the ball in pass catching he can't hold the ball in kick returns he can't hold the ball in punt returns what the heck makes them think that he's gonna be able to hold the ball in run plays bro no no get this guy off the team if Ryan po loves his trophy piece because this was his first ever draft pick so much give him an assistant coach's job give him a front office job take him home and let him live in your back room I don't care what you do with him he got to get off this rer he's taking up a spot he doesn't do anything do me a favor bro is it possible can you pull up V Jones career stats you put up his numbers please sure so anybody don't think that I'm just some kind of hater out here and while Co does that let me show you all this if you all look at my my screen My My by Dr this is a picture of H Hall people and what this picture says is welcome to halis Hall to all the players that made this roster what is it that's what that says yeah I would love to see vus Jones's career numbers bro so I can see what all the H what all the hype is about bro he got to make it make sense bro he has to make it make sense enlarge this please you see it yeah yeah yeah we can see it we can see it get the ad out the way let me see okay so real yeah vas Jones has played a grand total of 26 games for the Chicago Bears people he started two games that guy started two games in 17 attempts in 17 uh what is this 17 Russian attempts okay this is Russian yards 17 Russian attempts he has a grand total of 154 yards one TD uh uh and that is about to scope of his running that's not bad we'll accept that because guess what he's not a running back people we don't bring him in here to be a running back so flip I hear what you're saying about you know them trying to put him at running back bro he's not a running back he's really not uh in his receiving career he's been targeted 21 times the man has 11 receptions it's over twoe span people uh he has 11 receptions uh for a total of 127 yards he got uh he he what's that 11.5 yards per reception average that's not bad he got one TD to his name people one TD is a success uh a success percentage of 33.3% of the passes that's thrown to him he's gonna get the chance to catch his longest pass catch was a 44 yard pass catch and that's about the size of it we have nothing to hang our hat on with this guy and people say oh he's a good P um he's a good um kick returner well yeah of course yeah he only averages 27.4 yards you know per return but I mean what what good is that like come on yeah and and red beard I see you out here bro you said vus can be used as a gadget guy Chuck yes he possibly can but guess what he can't hold the ball bro so he can't use him there and guess what we already using Tyler Scott like that if Tyler Scott's gonna be better at it why do we need vas to do that bro we don't need him for that bro we don't need him as a gadget guy DeAndre Carter can do gadgets we got Gadget players players that can run Roma dun can you dadet man yeah and we've seen a little bit of that even from DJ Moore you can you can fit just about anybody in with these Gadget plays so you know I I I really don't get the Love Fest with this dude BR look he's a nice kid I'm not mad at Ryan PO for falling in love with the kids character and all that there but just like with Justin Fields high IQ High character type of guy wonderful person in the locker room and on the streets kissing babies and all that but if you didn't feel he was good enough what did you do to him you cut him and you got rid of him right F there your First Jus Fields reference too get your drink brother but if you're gonna get rid of him with a nice pleasant uh uh attitude you do the same with vas we don't have no room for friendships and man it's a results based business it's like what have you done for this is not personal it's just business people oh you keeping a three because I thought that Austin Reed would have been a good three for us yeah me too I thought they were gonna keep him yeah yeah what do you guys think about that I thought Austin Reed was you know uh playing well enough to where you know he could make this roster as a number three QB uh apparently they changed some rules too now that I think about it co they Chang some rules too what's up Ron we see you out there bro uh yeah they change some rules about keeping a third QB on the practice squad and bringing them up as an emergency QB and all that there they uh I can't recall the rule right off hand but basically and I'm um improvising here on the rule uh um they are making it so that the team does not get rewarded for being able to bring them up from practice squad or something like that I guess you gotta keep them actually on the roster you know in order yeah I want too sure uh Philip if they did put him on the practice squad um they probably will because they just made the roster Coss yesterday there hasn't been any updates so far in regards to whether or not with the new rules with the with the with the cuts that they just did uh today with the new rules they have to allow all these players that got cut to be out there on the waiver wire for 24 hours from what I'm understanding Landing um before you know they can U Pi pick them back up and put them on practice squads and what have you so you gota wait until tomorrow to see if he's taken before they can uh try to back on there yeah t pointing that out too uh he said he will be back tomorrow on the practice squad okay hey hey T oh where's TI hey and Tio man if you ever want to come on my show bro let me know bro yes yes sir yes sir yes sir so yeah I I just thought that was interesting I I like I me Travis Homer and vus Jones Jr they make absolutely no sense to me being on this squad we could have kept Colin Johnson over Felix Jones Jr bro and I would have been happy with that I do not see that but let's go now because we'll be all all right tight ends so this one a little bit kind of surprised me um only they're only going with three tight ends uh Gerald Everett Co KT and Mercedes Lewis now with this one you know how Shane waden he likes to well his his um his 12 tight end set you know he runs with you know 12 tight ends you know he uses multiple tight ends I think with with that one that would one thing that really surprised me Brendan Bates because Brendan Bates um he was very serviceable in the in the preseason and the guy can block bro like he was very good like with with the Run blocking so the fact that they didn't keep brenon bits on here I was like what like that one that one kind of surprised me because Brendan bat he was pretty serviceable I mean know I would have thought Sweeny was the guy that they would keep BR Tommy a great he was having a great preseason bro yeah Tommy was pretty good yeah actually they both were playing pretty well but not gonna lie they both were playing pretty well you know yeah but um I don't know bro I don't know I don't know what what what what Ryan P and Matt E are seeing but yeah Jon muff you said what [Laughter] now oh Ron he he he's been muffed enough puns trust and believe you me that dude is Mu enough FS to be cut by me forever I would have been got rid of that guy bro I I don't understand the uh love F like I said you just got to keep them on the team you I don't know let him be the the the the dirty Jersey guy let him do the washing or something I don't know bro he can be the water boy that'll be the lions are are are an up andc coming team they're nice you know they on the rise that's cute you know but I don't know we'll see yeah yeah we know Tim Patrick we know he is from the Broncos bro yeah I watched him Patrick play uh extensively last season okay offensive lineman okay this so this is they're going with 10 um Personnel Kiran nagaji Ryan Bates Nate Davis Kevin Jenkins Braxton Jones Doug Kramer Bill Murray Matt Pryor Coleman Shelton and darn all right this is not too much of a surprise um um the only thing the only thing that I would have Lov for us for Ryan po to have pulled and maybe he couldn't get it done um is pull a trade and get Nate Davis out of here you know I'm I'm I've had one full year of this turd show with Nate Davis and I'm not ready to keep seeing this bro I'm just not ready bro it is ridiculous there's absolutely no reason that he should come over to this franchise and sabotage a position where he's getting like10 million do a year uh for this franchise that doesn't make any sense to me and and what was that Matt EV flu even said on the um on the heart knocks if you guys haven't been watching that you missing a good one the Bears have a great heart knock show going here uh but he said availability is the best ability basically that's what he said availability is the best ability and Nate Davis has not been given us enough availability bro you know I I don't care what he can do skill-wise and what he's what his film says back when he was with the Titans or what have you I don't care nothing about that bro what I care about is this guy being the um Cincinnati game he was pretty serviceable he was decent he wasn't too bad red be asked a question about the offensive line he said is Bill Murray better than jari Carter oh yeah Bill Murray Bill Murray's been playing really well man Bill Murray Bill Murray has been playing really well uh this preseason man he's been he's been really good this preseason I I would say he's had a bit of a coming out party uh Redbeard uh but I don't know if it's Bill Murray's better play that hurt jari Carter or jari Carter's decline in play that hurt him because he definitely became a fan favorite in in the preseason last year the Bears fans were were pulling for jari Carter we wed him on the team ever since then it's kind of been like this this slow regression with jari I I hate it because I like the kid you know but I mean you got you gotta produce when it's time to produce bro exactly and I know Tevin Jenkins teev Jenkins he's also on a um a contract year you know like you said um availability is the best ability availability you know and tein Jenkins he's been dealing with with some injuries and so it's like a wait and see approach um to him because you know I mean when teevin jenin plays he plays as one of the best you know guards in the NFL but it's like want to get it going yeah it's just the only problem with him is just he's been dealing with some injuries you know and that's what he's been doing the last that's what he's been dealing with the last couple years you know with the injuries you know but you know I mean we're it's a wait and see approach you know with Tevin Jenkins ID say m if he plays at least at least 14 maybe 15 games yeah I could see them giving him a contract but if he plays like anything less than that then that's that's going to be hard to keep him you know in my opinion yeah all right so on to the next one defensive lineman so they kept 10 so they got Andrew Billings Austin Booker dvon Dexter Senor Daniel Hardy Z surprise when I wasn't I wasn't yeah I didn't know on my radar there bro yeah yeah Daniel Hardy Zack Pickins Dominique Robinson Montes what Daryl Taylor Demarcus Walker and Chris Williams another guy that for whatever reason we got this unfounded love vest for is Dominique Robinson can some Co sell him to me bro sell Dominique Robinson to I'mma shut up and listen man um Dominique Robinson I don't know like the biggest selling point is that uh oh he gained weight he gained some weight or whatever and that uh they said that's pretty pretty much G to help him try they're going to try to move him into the interior line so probably that's where he's going to be more effective at but I mean the past 27 games this guy only had one and a half sack he's been nonexistent he's been nonex I don't know I don't know how to S you on that like he's only had like what 15 pressures one and a half sacks in 27 games I mean it just seems like Ryan poles has a Love Fest with his with his draft picks you know first with uh uh Dominique Robinson veis Jones and Noah I'm gonna get to Noah Su I'm gonna get to him later I'm G get to him later you know with with the linebackers Michael basille they cut him I was really pissed about that no yeah they cut Michael basketball no that's not here gonna GNA come back had a great pre-season yeah I know that's what I'm saying like like Ryan P Has This Love Fest with his his his draft picks bro bro Bas Bas was one of his guys from last year we're gonna get to [Laughter] that come on bro you gota make yeah this defensive lineman they're going with 10 they got Andrew Billings of course he's a lock Austin Booker you know um he's also a lock I mean he's a developmental defense at end dvon Dexter senior not much of a surprise there Daniel Hardy that one kind of surprised me I thought they were gonna cut Daniel Hardy um it's a good thing they kept him our Zack Pickins Dominique Robinson is is Daniel is he really dominant bro what what what is he bringing to the table because I saw he had flashes in the preseason but I mean he wasn't doing this against the one his his numbers were not coming against his production was not coming against the Ws so I'm a little concerned about that too bro yeah I mean I guess probably they could probably use him for like a third down or something kind of like um how they're gonna use like Daryl Taylor like you know on a third down because I guess he's kind of great you know with his pus as a rotational piece but tell me this since since when do we only need five linebackers in a 43 set Bro where does that work I don't even know man like who who's be Daniel gonna be like your hybrid player he gonna be switching back and forth or maybe they looking at D Taylor that way because I know he's done that probably one of them one of them probably gonna be used like a hybrid or something I'm not too sure how they're gonna use them I know I know last year I mean of course um they kind of use Montes s in some areas as as a line linebacker I know last year they kind of used him a little bit but um please let's not do that again keep montz exclusiv what he doing and even what they they did with uh what What's his name you know last year when we had Justin um Justin Jones they put him back in coverage remember against the the Cardinals I'm like yeah don't do that ridiculous thing ever yeah for a defensive tackle that was silly running down the field chasing receivers and line that sense that makes yeah but yeah on to the linebackers of course this is a really surprise to me Trey M Edmonds TJ Edwards amen I'm not even gonna say his last name Jack Sor and knowah so well um yeah Michael Baskerville I don't know why he's he's not on this team amen should not be on this at all that guy earned his way this guy right here I'm in whatever his name is he should me on the team he he was terrible bro like yeah he was he was good in special teams but bro like michah baser BR was good in special teams and he could play bro like dud could play this Aman uh whatever his name is he could not play like he cannot play coverage he's not a good coverage linebacker aah OG I'm gonna call him amen OG I'm in OG he should not be on this team in my opinion he was trash bro like even when he was in in game like cover playing as a coverage linebacker as a a middle linebacker he was terrible bro could play um look I understand I understand that's keeping no too well bro and I'm G tell you the reason why I say that he spent most of the last last season on the IR bro he was injured most of the season so we didn't ever really get a chance to see him get out here and do anything do you know see what he could do in totality bro um so you you got to give him a chance he was a rookie last year you know he missed most of the year with injury you got to give that kid a chance bro that AR in dude he should not be on the teene I don't know I don't oh I don't see what what they see in him he shouldn't be on the teene right right right right all right next one defensive backs this one was interesting to me yeah this one was interesting it was crowded like this defensive backs was pretty crowded like it was a lot yeah so when you looking at this who's the surprise make and who's the surprise Miss to you in this um I don't know if it was really surprise to me I thought ready Stewart was gonna make it ready Stewart was gonna make it one of the I'm so confused but it's so crowded though I'm so confused about all of these these cut lists that have come out because on on one cut list I see Brady Stewart made it and Greg strowman Jr who was the um U the the surprise cut to me was the one that got away you know uh Josh Blackwell I know he's been on the team the last few years but bro I don't know that he was better than these other guys man I don't know that he had a better preseason better training camp than these other guys is is Josh Blackville familiar with the system absolutely does he know his place does he stand his discipline absolutely but I don't know that he's better than these other guys bro I don't know he's better than them I I just don't see it bro all right J he said Jaylen Jones should make it I don't know Jaylen Jones should make it bro you know jayen Jones well they're kind of carryovers from the last regime and I'm not so sure that they you know okay red beer said black blackw is good on special teams okay okay well well okay all right yeah so I know they're carrying six the six quarterbacks and four um safeties so of course you got your safeties jaquin brisker um you got Kevin berer you got Elijah Hicks and then you got Jonathan Owens um that's not too much I mean I don't know how they're going with four I mean I kind of get it maybe they're gonna probably it's a lot of it's it's a it's a pass Happy League so you're gonna need a bunch of yeah Terrell Smith might might be used in um some safety covers but in terms of of course the cornerbacks are going with six you got Kyler Gordon you got Jaylen Johnson um Jaylen Jones uh Terrell Smith um and Tariq Stevenson um yeah man like uh the cornerback room it was pretty crowded uh I mean of course Greg strowman Jr he got cut ready Stewart uh got cut and who else who else I knew I knew it was gonna be some hard hard Cuts some what I don't understand is we went away from Elijah Hicks last year we turned him loose last year how do he come in here and get back in the mix and Trump everybody this year bro I don't I don't understand how you know it made sense to bring him back into this mix because we we let him go last year bro we let Elijah Hicks go last year and we brought him back now now that being said Elijah Hicks was not a bad player just for the record he could play the position he played well when he got his opportunities I just didn't think he was that you know big play guy for us you know that he had that big impact in games but but he's he's disciplined he's he stays in his discipline some kind of way he's back Josh Blackwell is back jayen Jones Jones is back those three are questionable at best to me you know they're questionable at best to me I really thought uh strowman was gonna uh make this this roster bro that dude was playing great man he was playing lights out he played well last year I would have kept strowman I would have kept basille and uh and I probably would have kept Stewart I would gave ready Stewart a chance I'm being so serious but I I don't understand what they doing here bro I don't know why they kept am in OG that's that was a big surprise to me yeah bro I don't know all right special teams so we got Kyo Santos Patrick scales and Tory Taylor now in regards to uh Patrick scales Patrick scales they put him on um short-term IR he won't be back until week five Pro presumably week five right which is October around the 27th of October and so they probably might get somebody I know they cut um who's this guy I forgot his name uh from uh he was a Long Snapper yeah um I know but yeah the guy's name I gotta look look up the the the guy um um he was our Long Snapper last year um no no no no this was was our Long Snapper he was our Long Snapper last year but we had another Long Snapper who we just cut um cut oh Cameron lines yeah backup Long Snapper Cameron lons that's his name Cameron lons um they probably might bring him they're going to probably bring him back or or sign um do a um a signning a sign in with one of Long Snapper probably but I'm presumably thinking they're gonna probably bring Cameron Lions back you know so he could uh bring him back to the practice squad and probably uh start for him so yeah we'll see man we definitely will see yeah this this is all interesting to me uh the moves that they're making now uh thus far we had to trust ran Po and his process and what he's doing um I really don't have a reason right now to distrust it I just don't necessarily agree with all the moves that's being made right now bro I'm really not seeing this U red B asked a question he said y'all see Tristan Gil no what about Tristan Gil what's going on with him you know has he made him a team somewhere 10 games of the Bears uh game they only had two playoff teams from last year and in terms of their secondary from last year it was only uh a handful of them that were ranked bottom tier in terms of um pass uh allowing uh per pass so Chuck uh going into this season what do you think the Bears are going to do like what is what is your kind of your record predition for the first 10 games because it looks pretty favorable I mean the Bears of course first 10 games you said yeah okay real quick Co let let's let's pull it upull I'm limited let's pull up the bear schedule yeah let's put it on the shroud and those guys who just added weapons uh and they are uh a formidable folk to say the least I think they're gonna be a pretty good measuring stick for us to show us you know where the holes are in our makeup and what we got to do so I'm giving us a l right there I think we're one and one after these first two uh you said just the first 10 right um all right the next one the Colts I think the Bears this is a a good win for us I don't know about a runaway game I don't see too many blowouts of runaway games this year for the bears but I do see W oh first nine I'm sorry first nine games I'm sorry okay that that's fine uh but I got the Bears wining this so it's two and one the next one the Bears versus the Rams we got the Rams at home a tough one because this is a prolific offense Matthew Stafford is very familiar with the Bears defense and how we ATT how to attack and what have you but I do think that the Rams are are razor thin at key positions right now on on the defensive end which is going to make this a shootout type of a game I I think because of the way we play defense even though they got great weapons on offense over there I think the advantage goes to the Bears in that game so I got us three and one at this point I I think we beat the par the Carolina Panthers which is the next game uh uh uh the Carolinas got to show me something they got to be on the rise with this one so I got us four and one at this point the Jaguars versus the Bears this is a very tricky one it's a very very tricky one for us um it's a tough call because I could see uh um Trevor Lawrence and those guys coming in here and raising the rookies because we really got them at home uh but I want to say the Bears will be rolling right now I want to say that so just for the S argum I'm gonna say five I won argue it we argue later about it we argue later about it six and one against the commanders the commanders and J Daniels and Company that's gonna oh yeah and Mont has something to prove too
