a city alive with the spirit of excitement and a stadium brimming with anticipation the buildup has been intense and now we just can't wait for it all to begin it's anyone's guess though which team anticipation for this game let's hope we see these two teams play without fear and put in a really good display today here's how it looks for Portugal well it can be oh wait a minute Stuart to say I like the look of Portugal they've got some very good players they've got a good game plan they defend well all over the pitch and they create opportunities if they play well today they've got every chance of getting through to the last eight and maybe going into the semi-finals Ronaldo and here's Canelo tremendously strong in the tackle Cristiano Ronaldo one of the greatest players of the current ERA and you'd have to imagine Stuart he's going to have some sort of role to play in this one well D what companies he's playing with at the moment second top scorer in the competition and I but I have to say that was a top class save good visualization and execution and in range a goal here giving his team precisely what they were looking for now he deserves to celebrate it well here's one we could have called from five miles away Stewart clear red card defense well you've obviously got very good eyesight but no doubt about that he's stopped the goal scoring opportunity there he had themselves in front here still could be dangerous well nothing un to happened still pushing for a winner can he put them in front oh a goal who would have predicted this after the sending off they have the lead Now Incredible well let's see this again this is counterattacking football at its very best and there's certainly no doubt about the Finish he really hits it with power and accuracy nothing the keeper can do about that [Applause] well a dramatic moment near the end and that might well be the decider well on the attack hunting for a late equalizer here promising position [Applause] this a cut back a terrific defending to stop them progressing counterattacking very much an option Ronaldo have to pay attention defensively this could be it and there's a quality defender in action Running Room in the wide [Applause] position and beating the defender well then there a tidy up the referee has decided that two addition oh big chance must be and it's two for him today a masterful performance The Defenders unable to stop it well just look at this again the speed of Counterattack is so impressive but I think the defending is poor how can the goalkeeper be left so exposed with two players running at him mind you it's still a great team goal [Applause] mitrovic Distributing it well milinkovic Savage could reduce the deficit oh magnificent reaction and in it goes they're getting closer they're not finished yet well here we can see it again normally the first to point the finger at a goalkeeper but I think it's a good initial save I'm not sure he could have done much more just a bit unfortunate really that it dropped to an opponent and there it is the final whistle and Portugal certainly aren't going home just yet theyve progressed to the next stage here at the euro well there were some tired legs out there today both physically and mentally but in the end they just about had that bit of extra quality that got them through to the next round and that's all that matters
