JOSH DOBBS TALKS RAIDERS DEFENSE, BROCK PURDY INTERCEPTION AFTER PRE-SEASON TIE; ASSESSES D-LINE

forgot to grab it I usually I try to getou I score around birthday so I went to dinner last night and I was like all right I score I'll make sure I won't so tell tell us what you've seen from Jacob Co I mean like he's been having a really good camp and he's really shown up in these last preseason games he's Absolut stud like the way he's handled it come in to come in as a rookie pick up this offense and make plays obviously throughout the preseason but also go back there you know returning puns as well like I think that's the hardest positions on football and something that a lot of pun returners don't get a lot of love and credit for what they do so to have them step in there furiously catching punts uh making shorter fields for the offense and then he's on offense making plays on first second down third down you had the big catch last week a two-minute drill this week he had the touchdown another third down reception some other plays for the other TBS when they're in there there's tremendous sh St being there making plays fun to watch I know we typically don't spend a lot of time focused on the result of a preseason game but the ending of that just particularly wild especially with the effort exerted by a lot of your guys what was your kind of take on that when you're seeing all these guys kind passed out on the ground it was um an unreal ending and I think it's really cool to see how much like the guys care right like as you said you know it's pre-season and sometimes you know the value might not be in the final result result of the game but see the guys fighting until the final whistle shows how much that they care shows the pride of this team and really shows like the culture that's been buil here over the past several years and something I'm excited to be a part of this upcoming year obviously we wish you know our guy would make the end zone at the end of the play man but you know it's it's you know guys taking pride in every single time of step on the field like trying to win trying to make a b with the team it goes a long ways whether it's right now preseason or during the regular season you seem like you got in a Groove when you got out there what did it feel like you know how how was the offense rolling for you it was rolling well it was smooth like I know um it can be hard when you're standing on the sideline especially on all day it feels like a 700 p.m. game you then you wait till after halftime to go in and play there was fun watching Brock and ba spinning go up and down the field and my goal when I get on the field is to go in and execute exactly where they off so get in a rhythm as quickly as possible trust the guys around me that they're going to protect up front that the running backs going to Tilt The Rock receivers going to make plays for me and just play my game I get in there and able to do that move score um have a couple efficient efficient driv in the game seemed like the Run game was a little bit more efficient today than it has been in the past couple games for sure you know I think um just jelling as we're getting closer to the season guys have getting more getting gotten more reps in their feet under them it was good to have a couple backs uh running backs back on the field and running hard so yeah the running Run game looked good um so yeah just put on the final touches before the real regular season com around take us through that five for five drive that ended with uh the touchdown with guy over there in the corner Locker um it was a smooth drive like we were able to get on the field um Dr my touchd down ball oh bumble bumble right uh no it was a smooth drive like it was good to get out there getting a rhythm um get a quick completion to cam um couple big third Downs converting and then once we got in the Red Zone like you know so four-point play going from a field goal to a touchdown so anytime you get in the Red Zone you want to be able to execute it's going to be tight windows down there because my job as a quarterback to put the ball where he needs to be and it's their job to come down with it so we're able to do that was a efficient drive and good to go on the scoreboard awesome appreciate you what what did you uh see out of that Raiders defense of that front seven last um know I thought like our guys did a good job really just kind of handling what the defense was given us uh a good job running the ball great job in protection so it was good to be out there with my guys
