interesting here in Denver there's a lot of names in that back field 14 yd on the play they go right back to the rookie across the 35 and down to the 32 we know that Javonte Williams is the starting running back but Shawn pyton really loves Jia mcclaflin cuz he's so diverse and do so many things out of the back field but audri ese gets to start here the last preseason games he's already caught a ball out of the back field he's running behind his pads getting hit but then picking up two extra yards those are the type of things that you want to see from a guy who's going to be a situational back most likely but one thing we haven't seen yet is pass Pro that's what a running back Shawn Payton's offense has to be able to G stum has time rolling right and now will just throw it away he was chased by Victor deuki at bonck 12th overall and he wins the starting QB job this summer third and two did him on the move again and will throw it away good pressure by Phil Hoskins and now on fourth down and two Shawn Peyton is going to go for it yeah this is a this isn't we see on this this wide view here Jared stm's trying to get this ball out to uh to V Devon V but the timing is off when V is out of his break Jared sdm's not ready to throw the ball yet and as a result he gets to the sideline there's nowhere for him to go with it pyton wanted to get stum 8 to 12 plays so an opportunity here maybe to extend this opening drive and get Jared a little more time before going to Zach Wilson did him on the slant he's got him in he's got a first down it's V Shawn pyton has been raving about this seventh round pick out of Utah he goes for 14 the Broncos right there once again they go to two wide receivers in close proximity stacked together a little bit of confusion for Arizona coming out of it as you see it and right there just a good job by V keeping his focus and being able to catch that ball and get up the field and pick up a huge first down on fourth down yeah on third down we talked about the timing being off it's easier with three-step drops right on time estimate and jump from behind by Miles Murphy a pickup of two boy Tiki I played against a lot of those guys on that list here goes Troy Franklin and Franklin's going to get enough for a first down fourth round pick out of Oregon who was Bo nicks's teammate with the Ducks one thing Shawn Peyton said to us about Franklin was he's fast and he's explosive and you're seeing here they're finding ways to get the ball in his hands yes as a rookie he's going to get better at his route running understanding what defenses are doing but if you can hand and the ball off to him or throw him short passes and he's able to show that speed it's only going to help this off yeah you know we're not seeing the chemistry right now cuz bck are sitting over there in Street Clos but also an Oregon kid first and goal for the Broncos ese up the middle inside the five and twisted down by naquan Jones ese played three years in Notre game he was a fifth round draft pick so ma Pon was a big part of their offense last year in danger of not making this roster partly because of the emergence of ese They Ride ese here trying to get in the there's a lot of enthusiasm and and Shawn pyton is really high on this guy and there's one thing when I was playing against a Shawn Payton Le offense it wasn't that they would go Tempo and go fast but the decisions that the quarterback made Drew Brees for a long time it happened so quickly and as a DB you felt like you always chasing the game yeah I think one of the reasons that Shawn loved B Nick so much is because of his maturity it's not like he's a rookie coming in here 24 and A2 years [Applause] old here's Jones on the carry and that's really part of a bigger conversation that we've had throughout the week the covid college player playing five six seasons I mean V is 26 years old and he's a rookie but because of that Jonathan Ganon told us that he's seen guys come out of college a lot more prepared and pro ready because of the extra time in school and he talked about the programs that these guys are coming from and what the college coaches are doing them to prepare them for the NFL and a credit to these guys it's one thing to play a lot of college games it's another thing to play them well and come into this level and Excel right away second and eight for tun he's got a first down out to the 40 yd line that's belli reeling it in for for a gain of 16 Clayton tun has done a really good job and obviously Desmond Ritter coming over from Atlanta he has to pick up and learn this offense for clay and tun this is his second year with the offensive coordinator ping so he knows and he can anticipate those throws get the ball out and be able to move this [Applause] really good job by Bonito making sure hey I got in the back field but now I have to make the play and get this big running back on the ground and that's something Bonito has been working on he had eight sacks last year but stopping the Run has been a focal point for Bono tun under pressure again and down he goes and once again it's Jordan [Applause] Jackson the Air Force product with his second big play of the quarter yeah George Jackson's making his his presence felt early in this game had to run stuff early here he is he's doing a TT game in the middle of this defensive front and Clayton new growth um you know I'm taking on that leadership Road very well um I honestly the guys in the room helped me you know I mean excel in that phase and I'm glad to take on that road I mean we just got a lot of young hungry guys in the room you know I mean a lot of young guys a lot of bed guys in room as well too so it's it's an exciting opportunity for sure you had a guy leevi Wallace Bama fellow Bama guy that joined you this year um speaking of your time at Bama you had some college battles with bonick had to say something nice cuz they're teammates but it kind of hurt him surprised he interception there cuz this is an ill advised throw by Zach Wilson as you see he's obviously had pressure right down his throat but it still feels like you should throw that one away or take the sack and pton thinks he could do the same for Zack Wilson batty on Third and one and batty is not going to get there good job by the Arizona defense led by Elijah Jones Shawn Peyton has done a lot on this second Drive with Zack Wilson in their run game you're seeing some outside zones you see some a little misdirection Gap scheme the other way now you get a toss it's just not blocked well on the edge and a really good job by the DBS right there you saw ke trell Clark come flying in and then Jones finish up the tackle for DBS it's one thing to be able to cover all game long when the ball's handed off you got to be willing to step up and make a tackle on a big and physical running back and they did that right there on third down Broncos continue to carry two punters a competition between the
