The cast of Lifetime's Terry McMillian: Forever teases the movies plot twist and surprises

[Music] hey guys Ashley Bowen here for the buzz and we are on the carpet for the LA premiere of Life times film forever we got a chance to catch up with the film stars Tay dig and Megan good and so many others I promise you don't want to miss this the carpet starts right now would you consider going to dinner with me have you ever did this one with kids before uh no hi 11:30 no later that one scares me from executive producer Terry McMillan author of house Stella Got Her Groove Back how come we never be married you met my girls you're ruining my life hate you this is an easy day with them what Leslie I am Megan Good Carly's oldest daughter and I really just give Johnny a run for his money um I also give Megan Carly a run for her money I just want to be with my friends be with my boyfriends I don't really care about my sister responsibilities I just want to let Lucen have fun have fun right so speaking of fun are there any fun moments on set you're obviously working with Megan good working with Tay digs and a slew of other great actors and actresses any fun moments that stick out to you while you were on set so many Taye is a comedian in his own Megan is so lovely and the little girls we were all like making up dances we did the Dasha bootstop work and dance all together which was awesome um and we made up like beats on set I think Tay has that recorded and we were just like goofing around between scenes okay well Courtney is a very bright girl she's honestly just like me on and off the screen yep attitude as she doesn't take nobody's nothing so that is me and I feel like I was just playing myself just with different circumstances my character is Lamar Walters um that's all I can really say oh it must be good well it is good and it's something that's unexpected in the film and it's uh it's a good chunk of the film I I I will I will say that much what can I really give away too much about Lamar at this point yeah so what can the audience expect from the film I haven't seen it okay from what I've heard it's a it's a tearjerker uh good love story you know black people um the director Charles Murray I've worked with him previously a number of times so you can expect the human condition to be exemplified inside of it yeah I I speak for all of your fans that we're so pleased with the versatility of your roles that you're picking is there a strategy behind that like how are you picking roles these days whatever makes me excited you know um I've been in the business now for over 30 years and so just whatever I feel passionate about whatever I feel like might be a challenge or feels like something I haven't done yet um or people that I want to work with or a script that touches my heart it just kind of depends but um you know it's a different season and it's an exciting season and it's cool to get different opportunities and I'm just having fun just thanking God living my best life yeah man I'm so excited to see the way that Megan and Tay develop the relationship I just think all our hearts are going to break and I just want to laugh and cry together I heard you are a cop in the film tell us about your role blue I'm a boy in blue it was fun Don in the uniform Megan makes a tough ass cop hard ass oops not CZ she's a badass cop so uh I play Tim gunar in the film um I play a baseball player who was on a team and I'm also in a relationship with uh with Leslie and then uh things uh go go uh go off the rails a little bit but uh it all wraps up in the end sort of so tell us about your role in the film well I don't want really want to give it away but I'm sort of like a spoiler alert in the film everyone is saying that tonight you know I mean that's the great thing about the script at the same time is that there's so many different surprises that occur within it so you know my man comes back from the service and you know I'm there in service oh that's loaded now we have to watch now uh how was it partnering with Terry McMillan again always it's always wonderful I'm I'm ready for the next one um she's uh she knows what she's uh she knows what she's doing she has great taste and uh it was uh it's great to uh be back together with her again so tell us about your role in the film what can the audience expect um they can expect a an interesting love story you know very rarely do you get a chance to uh to experience love stories uh by people that have been around a bit you know we're not neither of us are in our 20s and we've both we've lived our lives and uh that makes you uh approach love differently so uh it's a great story I had a great time doing it and I'm hoping that that people leave um being reminded that uh try not to be fearful um when opening up to to New Opportunities I'm glad that you're here I'm going to be here for you all of y' Forever I'm counting on that Terry McMillan presents forever Premier Saturday August 24th at 8 only on Lifetime what's up it's your
