KLA Harris has come out ahead of Donald Trump in the polls after the presidential debate yesterday Donald Trump is now shying away from a rematch so far anyway before an election day our Washington correspondent analy Nielson joins us live from Shrewsbury in Pennsylvania today so analy hello again what's been the Fallout from the debate look we've been out talking to voters and while many watch it doesn't seem like many Minds were changed but first there is this discussion about whether we'll have a second debate this is an unusual election year for so many reasons but one of them is the fact that these debates are happening outside the normal commission that organizes them so last night might well be it and if we're going by what Donald Trump's been saying he doesn't appear too Keen for a rematch what we've seen is he's called into Fox news this morning after Fox News sent invites both kamla Harris's and Donald Trump's campaign teams to organize a debate but he didn't give it any inclination that he was going to sign up for it just yet last night Fox News uh offered sent letters to your campaign and her campaign offering three dates of uh debates moderated by Martha and Brett uh one is October 9th in Arizona well I wouldn't want to have Martha and Brett i' I'd love to have somebody else other than Martha and Brett I'd love to have frankly sea or Jesse or Laura uh you know somebody else let's give let's give other people a shot but look here's a story when when two fighters fight and one loses the first thing they do is ask for a debate or they they ask for a fight so in this case a debate so we had two people they lost very badly the first thing they did is asked for a debate because that's what a when a fighter loses he says I want a rematch I want a rematch they always the losing person The Fighter the debater they always ask for a rematch Pete the writings are out and 50 7 and a half million people watched on TV the debate last night that's above the 51 million that tuned in for Donald Trump's debate against Joe Biden so we wanted to speak to voters about what they thought and here's one voter a good example of a young person who is planning on voting for Donald Trump in Pennsylvania not moved by Taylor Swift's endorsement or anything that she saw come out of yesterday's debate this is my first year voting so I'm trying to like get a feel for like how things go and like really like dig into like what the um people believe so yeah uh who are you going to support then I'm supporting Donald Trump just because um what he's doing like aligns with my values and so um yeah I appreciate that I mean no candidate is perfect but he's definitely the one that I would pick Pete the polls are still tight here in Pennsylvania and that's very much what we found when we've been out speaking to people over the last few days but we did want to ask about that Taylor Swift endorsement NPR Here is now reporting that that link she posted to her profile has prompted 300,000 Americans to register to vote that is absolutely a number that could change the outcome depending on where those people are from and what age demographic they registered in but the voters we spoke to in Pennsylvania didn't seem all too moved either way either they were already voting for kamla Harris and they enjoyed hearing that Taylor Swift was going to do the same or didn't move the match at all how many times have you voted before I've just turned 18 so it's going to be my first time voting that's exciting and what do you think of Taylor Swift endorsing kamla Harris I mean I'm not much of a Swifty but that's awesome Yes it makes a huge difference they're a huge community and um I think that she put out a really positive message and that I think her community is going to receive that well so and just Taylor Swift endorsing Cara Harris changed your mind at all no I'm not a Swifty I don't uh most sister is a big Swifty but I no no it really doesn't now um no not really no it's just I'm I'm not a Swifty my wife likes the music but uh I can take it or leave it oh my word I'm a Swifty I have to say but yeah it's funny how like all the musicians are like supporting her it's just kind of like I don't know it's interesting but yeah I still love her though got to say that so Pete Cara might have come out ahead in last night's debate but this is still anybody's race yet sure is analy Nelson thank you
