Ep. 491, Announcement! Tom Petty and Oasis Collaborations #tompetty #oasis

Hello everybody welcome back to the channel I'm just going to do a really quick video here just to make you aware of a couple of things that I've been doing recently um predominantly I am currently in the middle of a series with one of my best friends Rich strickler over on the rich strickler Channel his link will be in the description of the video below uh we started now we're two episodes in gearing up for episode 3 filming um later this week we are going through the decades talking about Tom Petty and his career we've done Tom Petty in the 70s which focuses on his first three records um self-titled you're going to get it in Dan the Torpedoes and we just posted on Rich's channel the 80s um with Tom Petty which covers a whole array of Records um he put out I think five records um Hard Promises long after dark Southern Accents let me up I've had enough and then his uh solo debut full moon fever um we briefly touch on his stent with the traveling wildberries talk about some Stevie Nicks collaborations in the 80s and uh then also just talk about um just general facts and little things that have um kind of shaped Petty's career up to this point MTV lineup changes in the Heartbreakers all that good stuff if you enjoy music history this is a great um series and I'm really enjoying doing it with Rich um so I've posted the first two episodes on my Community page uh I can also link those up at the bottom of this um video as well if you haven't seen those I really recommend you check them out Rich has a wide array of knowledge especially with Tom Petty um and it's just been really really fun to work on this with him so um we're planning to do again the 90s we're going to film later this week which will be posted I'm sure sometime next week and I will obviously post that on my Community page and then we are going to kind of combine um really everything from 2000 up until Petty's death in 2017 which will include um his last solo record uh Highway companion as well as the two mud crutch records that he put out mud crutch then mud crutch 2 which ended up being his final uh record back in 2017 but there's a lot of music to cover there as well again more factoids more you know just pieces of information Rich started seeing Tom Petty in the 90s so I'm sure that we will um hear about uh Rich's concert experiences in the next uh video for the 90s it's really really been a fun time and uh again I really recommend you checking it out uh secondly I was just on a uh on hour long live stream so it's really easy to go back and rewatch it with my buddy Rob over at Northern revolutions uh we are discussing the recent Oasis reunion announcements um we even have a surprise guest pop up um in the last 20 minutes to um give us kind of a a local perspective uh of what what the hubub is all about over there in the UK across the pond from uh us here in the states so that was really fun uh really appreciate Rob hosting yesterday um during the lunch hour and again it's on his channel I will link that below as well so I recommend watching that if you have enjoyed all of the Oasis content that's been around Rob is a lifelong fan um I have been a fan for about half my life so it's just really really fun to talk about something exciting that's bringing us together here in the music world so anyway I don't want to make this too long everybody please go check out Rich strickler again his uh episodes will be linked below that we've worked on together and uh go check out Rob's um live stream um replay that's also going to be linked below again really really fun conversations with both of these guys all right everybody in the meantime y'all be good take care we'll talk to you in the next one by now
