THEY ASKED THE COMMUNITY TO PROVIDE INPUT TO HELP THEM DECIDE ON THE FINAL DECISIONS FOR THE ROADS BECAUSE WE KNOW THAT THIS WILL AFFECT THE CITY. >> FOR THE NEXT 30 YEARS AND WE WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT WE TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION PEOPLE THOUGHTS AND EXPERIENCES OF TODAY AND HOPEFULLY THEN TELL US WHAT THE ENVISION FOR THE FUTURE WITH THE HELP OF T DOT AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PARTNERS. THE CITY IS LOOKING AT WAYS TO REDESIGN HIGHWAY 70 58 TO IMPROVE SAFETY MOVEMENT, PEDESTRIAN AND BICYCLE ACCESS AND MAINTENANCE WERE WORKING AS BEST AS WE CAN TO MAKE SURE THAT THIS >> ROAD GETS REDESIGNED TO T. WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF THE CITY TO ACTUALLY BE ABLE TO TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION A LOT OF THE ISSUES THAT THIS ROAD HAS, WHICH IS TRAFFIC ISSUES, VOLUME ISSUES, INTERSTATE REROUTING ISSUES. AND THAT'S WELL MAKING SURE THAT THIS COMMUNITY HAS ACCESS TO THEIR PARKS, THEIR SCHOOLS, THEIR DOWNTOWN. AND THAT'S OF THE ASPECTS OF THEIR CITIES. THEY SAY ALL FUNDING FOR THE PROJECT WILL COME FROM FEDERAL GRANTS, ONE OF WHICH THEY'VE ALREADY BEEN APPROVED FOR. >> BUT SOME COMMUNITY MEMBERS SAY THE MONEY COULD BE USED ELSEWHERE. SO I JUST I DON'T WANT US TO. >> NEEDS TO LOOK DECENT. IT NEEDS FUNCTION WELL AND USED TO BE SAFE. >> IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE THE MOST GLORIOUS THING EVER. AND WHILE THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PLANNERS SAY IT WILL TAKE TIME, THEY HOPE TO BUILD SOMETHING THAT WILL FIT IN THE COMMUNITY.
