are all back excitedly so as you can hear from the giggling to talk about season one episode seven of an Rice's Interview with the Vampire titled the thing lay still which you know interesting choice of words but I am well he did well yeah you all of the all of the episode titles are direct uh lifts from the book ah okay okay okay I like it I like it like this has felt like such an intellectual messy ass show and I've lived for it like I just genuinely Liv for this first season to the point that I will most likely get the DVD box set um really I truly enjoy it school not a DVD box set do you even have a DVD player I do it's called [ __ ] you I do there's one in the closet and then there's also my Playstation 3 which still play DVD you still on three I know I haven't upgraded since I I'm not going to go straight to the five though I'll probably get the four next cuz I am that weirdo I have a PlayStation one two three is currently I'm going to get the four before it goes out of stock and then up to the five okay okay you know actually though I'm not I'm not usually a DVD person but I did see that um wakanda forever is about to drop on DVD and Blu-ray and I was like black people I should support them yeah and also like HBO Plus or H not HBO plus they don't have a plus HBO Max HBO Max their third iteration whatever like we can't like just the fact that like they're like oh this will no longer be available on streaming I feel like that should remind people about DVDs and why it was a thing I was going to buy um I went I was at on Walmart the um yesterday and I saw that the movie teal was on DVD and I almost bought it because it's not streaming yet but um remember you don't like black people no no I don't but no the reason the reason I didn't buy it because like it was a DVD I would have preferred a Blu-ray okay I got you it was just like yeah basic yeah no I get it I like the Blu-ray when it has like also like the DVD option right I want to see my lynching in h in uh in 4k I don't I never if possible even though America will not be want to see my lynching in 4k America will not grant me to see no lynchings because this is America 2023 you got to laugh through the pain sh oh they making it harder and harder every year man they really making it harder and harder but um where were we mess where were we so yeah it's with the Vampire streaming I applaud yeah because I don't trust these corporations we don't own the cloud I would like to remind people that so like you're paying like Spotify let's say $9.99 M minimum so throughout the year 120 and then next year they could just be like all the [ __ ] you've love listening to you can no longer listen to how about I just buy it and have it there you know what it's so it's so weird because like you remember like in 2000s where like late 90s 2000s where Napster was big line wire all these um all these um parading apps were really really big and you had these the and you had the uh recording industry and of course the movie industry really heavy and trying to stop parity now they made streaming ubiquitous in the in the um in 2010s going forward but now they're taking all this [ __ ] out they haven't even released DVDs for some things like Westworld other property are streaming only stuff like Netflix so they're making it where you have to Pirate this [ __ ] yeah pirating made them respond and create a legal Avenue and then they now they've gotten cheap again so we have to teach them a lesson I'm again I put this on my Twitter I was like Jen z y got it I was like Jen Z y'all got it figure it out how are we going to teach him the lesson because it's stupid right it's stupid um but also like yeah that's why like to have things I can own in my hand that might seem old school but it's also in reaction to like corporations just being like you can never watch this movie again because you only streamed it well I like that for Comics like I really do love still like I go to comic book store every single week and get my comics and my hand and it feels great and they have backs and boards and all that kind of stuff um when it comes to DVDs I have gotten to the point where it's it's very specific and it's us if the DVD either has like special features or the box is done in a way that's interesting yeah I'm not buying any and every DVD out there I don't have enough room and by I don't have enough room I mean I could I can easily fill a room ofu so I have to be really like selective about what I bu there there is an Infinity Room put it that way I I can really fill a room it's kind of a mess now with all of that said now that you guys have heard our thoughts on the streaming and the streaming Wars the streaming Wars and streaming industry and how it's probably most likely going to go through a revolution in the next 5 years let's jump into why we're actually here today and that is to talk about the season 1 episode 7 finale of interview and R's interview the vampire titled the thing lay still damn I wish I had a mixture for moments like this but this was a [ __ ] for this episode y'all i l it I loved it just watched it for the first time in an hour ago I'm in my feelings I've got a drink in front of me like I am ready to go um but Shannon this is your first time I believe I believe um strongly this season this series um give us your thoughts what have you thought about the season overall um okay so you know I am a huge an race fan I'm a huge interview vampire Chronicles fan um I've been reading these books since I was in Middle High School that's so healthy of you yeah so many of my hobbies are um but yeah so I've I I've probably reread Interview with the Vampire two or three times um watched the movie a zillion times I was obsessed with it for very many years um yeah I think think they did a really good job with adapting it um primarily because it's not easy to adapt and also update it and then you know I don't care what anyone says like I know everybody is like loves this now and so everybody is like oh my God it's like a million times better than the movie I never liked Tom Cruz asab y'all are liars I'm sorry leat was one of the definitive V like that performance of leat was not only one of the definitive performances of that character but one of the definitive vampire performances yes people forget like the limitations on television and movies in the 90s and early 2000s honestly but it it it wasn't even about the special effects Tom crew lat is a very like specific and distinct character and Tom Cruz you have to remember at that time this is like risky business Top Gun Tom Cruz nobody was expecting him to play like a hottie vampire you know in in stockings and like like he was probably the last person you would think to get cast for this role and he created like if you watched um Vampire Diaries uh Joseph Morgan as klouse like he said numerous times that he modeled his performance of clouse off of Tom Cruz I loved him as CL and he's a huge an rice fan as well so he read the books umum but yeah so I I just as as much as I love this yes people don't realize that they had a really hard job CU you're updating and changing and you're trying to bring something new to a vampire story that in many ways has influenced all the vampire stories that came after and I think they did an amazing job um I'm someone who loves New Orleans I just came back there was there like two weeks ago never been 2024 I got to make it I gotta make it so like it's one of my favorite cities in the world it feels like I could live there cuz it's surrounded by water and good food that's all I want in life was I go there I like I'm Zillo houses I'm like like I love New Orleans um so I was just there I even got to like the scene where like the people are leaving uh like uh books and stuff in front of their house um I went there I took a picture in front of those Gates that are right there it's right next to the laerie mansion which people will probably know from American horr Story coven um yes so yeah like the it being said in New Orleans moving it up to like the 1910s 1920s so you get all that like prohibition Harlem Renaissance Era and then making Louie you know a mix race black man like the thing about Louie is if you don't cast it right it's really hard yes Louie is in the books it's this weird thing everyone is in love with Lou of course he's got perfect Che into like contact with him like even the most like when you start getting into the way deeper books even the most like ancient vampires like meet Louie and like fall in love with him so you need to cast that part right and again 90s Brad Pit Brad Pit was the guy that everyone in love with and when they cast Jacob Anderson I was super excited cuz I love Jacob Anderson and I personally find him very attractive have you haven't you interviewed him like in person I wish oh my God I would have man I I don't know what I'm have to do what Nigerian ancestors I'm G have to call on but I need to make that happen for either one of us so and like but again like are you eating popcorn or is that ice I'm sorry sorry ice cuz I was just like is Don Draper on this line but like I I didn't know if other people were going to fall in love with Jacob Anderson and I mean he does such an amazing job I just yeah he so fine and like me have you not already from Game of Thrones I was already in love I feel like a lot of people like I again I find him very attractive but like grym doesn't talk a lot in the series like I have like a beautiful relationship yes but a lot of people didn't care about that because they're not the main characters they're the black actors like let's be real Game of Thrones is still very white audience was what worked about Grey Worm he didn't need to talk it was all like emotive and expressive and but that's us again The Wider world I didn't know the wider and then also we're talking about changing a character that canonically has been white to a black character so already I knew he was getting the hate mail like no so they did an amazing job the actors the casting directors all of that um I'm glad the audience reacted in the way yes that I wanted them I haven't seen them be nominated for as many awards as I think this type of show should have it's still a vampire show it is but still but that's stupid you know it's absolutely stupid and very limiting to the I mean very much so like how Outlander didn't get like nominated until like it's fourth season or whatever the and that's not even a good season I know but they were like oh okay I guess by this as you go down let us nominate you um but yeah the the not the academy but whatever bodies of Hollywood that decides these awards are very stupid and limited and what they Define as [ __ ] I don't know yeah genre television or serious yeah not a lot of genre television ever gets nominated exactly but that's fine we don't need the awards I just need a good show in my eyeballs and I will continue to live so with this so let's jump into season 7 um season seven I wish oh my God that would be amazing let's jump into episode s which was actually directed by Alexis AR yeah yeah Alexis Aranda hopefully I said that all right a lot of writing credits for folks in this show um one thing I actually wanted to find out who was responsible for but I have not seen it yet excuse me that's okay is who the [ __ ] the cinematographer was for the show like cinematography in terms of like Photo and STS and because Jesus [ __ ] Christ this is one thing this past weekend right I was actually watching mcb's 2015 over again and with um oh why do have I have now forgot his name this terrible oh Ethan Hawk Ethan Hawk I about throw Sal at you [ __ ] he did sorry I'm thinking of it's not Hamlet he did Hamlet oh okay yeah no not no shade on you were watching what MCB 2015 I'm about it's Michael F yes there was yes Michael Bender it was Michael F Bender as mcbath and Marian CAD as lady mcbath and I watched that again this weekend that [ __ ] is a [ __ ] gorgeous movie like scenery details background these [ __ ] are speaking for two hours on like Shakespearean Edwardian language and it's just perfect and it's I was like this was 2015 like you would think it was like some CGI type [ __ ] I absolutely recommend for to like go rewatch that movie but like that type of scenery that you would assume is utilized with CGI or whatever whatever when this episode opened that's the feeling I got with it right um the DP on this his name is Jesse Feldman he's some other stuff yes he's definitely done some other stuff not just small let me Jess he I mean I'm just looking at his like yeah I love how real estate agent pops up for me I love it Jesse M Feldman J SS e yes but like the reason why I like show movies like like Beth is and very much often like they do so much more with little um well you know for this they built all of story bille I can imagine like they had to build a back lot of storyville they used some of B but like the house that's supposed to be um the actual house on R Royale is maybe a block off of Bourbon Street so you can't really film there too much because there's always something happening um but uh they built the whole Backlot so the whole like all the where they the carriages go through and the in the fronts of the thing that was all SE that was all built okay okay so Jesse Feldman just looking right now Shana you will appreciate this the Mandalorian um book of boa Fat American Crime Story Muppet Haunted Mansion but he's he's out here he's out here so he definitely I was like okay Barry pose okay he like you like you know what's good and you like someone could be on a 2015 like story about [ __ ] mcbath and be on like a CGI type movie five years later and it will still be like oh okay I get it this is like someone who gives a [ __ ] about his art and his work um but yeah so episode seven opens been trying to get there for 20 minutes guys I apologize but it just opens with lot drinking blood from like this little tiny wine goblet and just the way it just opens the shot just opens even wider to show that to show that Louie and Claudia are also in this room with him like just [ __ ] excellent like it was just beautiful so Joan what were your thoughts on how episode 7 decided to open up and how it sort of like catches up Catches Us up to where we're at with all of our characters okay thank you for letting a man speak you're welcome you're welcome somewhere and we don't actually care no I I really um I really enjoyed this opening and just seeing how you have this horrifying scene basically of this man being bled into a decanter that they're all sharing drinking his blood and I think they're doing the and Louis is giving the explanation of how a vampire can be killed um in in v in various ways but just like the abject horror of this person just being essentially drained and they're there it's just torture basically you know there's no reason to it is it's very very it's very beautiful pleas Let It Be elegant that's all I it's very elegant and beautiful one thing though that I want to that I kind of saw throughout the series and it seems to be in a lot of vampire lore that vampires they tend to and it's could be you know the actors that they get or who they want to cast or whatever but it always seems that vampires always tend to get like old frumpy people you never see like a vampire go and for example get like a a a 18 year old off like like a nice a nice fine 18y old they're always going for some middleaged old guy I mean his like his like their blood is so sweet like really cuz this [ __ ] don't do e T-bone steaks and smoke you don't want that poy fed blood so it just like it's like old pop this this old blueo looking [ __ ] being drained and they're like enjoying it like it's like a a 19 like 18 it's got more body Scott you know I guess I guess but yeah it was a beautiful opening though I bet Shon what are your thoughts on this opening so again I'm thinking of it more like a book reader so I was like you know like this is this is why it it's not good that Lou is telling this information to a human of how to kill vampires so I was like focused on that I'm like you know oh you and danger girl like maybe don't tell the human how vampires are killed well isn't in this particular cuz they modern like you said Shana they modernized this this um this take and also interview the regular the movie Interview with the Vampire was um in the 90s so they they had um that scene I'm get that scene with Brad Pit where he was explaining like holy water like no that doesn't work um crosses crucifix I like looking at crucifixes and they said something he said something about a steak through the heart or something like oh yeah that works yeah I'm sitting here like maybe Lou wants to be quiet about killing vampires also like just conf about the fact that like they like because he's telling like how he's like you know all the stat let me know this during like one night when he was drunk and like blah like this is also him he only knows what he knows because of what leat told him and it goes to show also like how naive he is um because like lat didn't give him you know L didn't give him a lot and everything that he ask questions he don't ask questions and everything that gave him was like by accident I know if I turn if I was a new vampire I'm gonna like after I kill my first human like I'm going to ask all the questions like okay what does not ask will give high blood pressure you just be like along for the rot and it's so he truly does he does not ask any questions let so shout out so so everyone listening right now just be ready I'm hyped I'm hyped CU you guys have heard me for the past six episodes about how everything is Lou fault and like I gave him let me speak my truth let me speak my truth about everything is Lou fault and I am now you know it's 6040 but like with episode seven like I'm back on the you know what Lou you [ __ ] up a lot oh he definitely [ __ ] up a lot but he also is I mean again as as much as everyone is like baded with Louie from the minute they meet him I get it he's like he is also so oblivious like he's so naive and so oblivious like he involve him in nothing yeah like he takes everything the stat says as like the gospel truth like and and does not ask questions and and that's what you get why Claudia is annoyed and you get why Claudia annoys lat because she asks all the questions that he doesn't want to answer that's true that's a good point oh I love it I love it so much though but it's a beautiful opening scene I love I just honestly outside of out of the Dragons this is my favorite television show for 2022 um and this would probably win over House of the Dragons cuz they didn't pull that we're going to make this entire episode dark and say y'all are blind [ __ ] say that but they were like y'all just need to adjust your TV I'm like the contract the light is up the contract is slighting from the so just because of that they cannot be number one so for me interview with the V vampire terms of cinematography lighting all all of that number one [ __ ] you [ __ ] you guys over there in Hot D but I just I I completely loved it and this opening with Sam Reed I have never seen this white man in anything but I am in love with him go forever on more especially with just how he choose the scene as was thought how he bodies L thought I don't know what he's been in before this I stuff I've heard I so so I hear as well but like I don't know him from nothing like I remember also when he got caspan like who is this white man yeah I've never seen and people were like well fans I'm like I don't know him oh no I do know he was in Belle but I saw that so oh my God which Bell heard wait Belle the one which was like an inter the British the life story Belle or like B Disney B the uh Google movie where she's um the like she she's born a black woman born to yeah that's who I mean yeah that one yeah yeah where she's a black but that like literally was so long ago that I don't remember this man the only thing I remember is goooo I don't think I've ever even heard of that movie it's based on a painting so there's a painting Bas on a painting yeah so yeah there's a painting of um this white woman and in the background usually a lot of times from that era you have like paintings of white people and then the people in the background are their slaves um but she is like dressed in like um in the same like type of uh rank as the white girl and so they I don't know if it's a created story based on this painting or if it's the actual story no I think it's actually based on the daughter of an of an interracial yeah and I think the girls are um what's it cousins in real life so like they're cousins and like her like she's the Highborn daughter and they like raised her as if she was Highborn but she was black and so her prospects were like like this is not going to work out yeah like they were raising her like she was going to marry a Lord and like the Lords are like I'm this black woman like she's still black though guys yeah calm down um but yeah so uh I think he plays the The Suitor um in in the movie like her her boyfriend that she ends up with um but again this was so long ago yeah that was that was a minute and a half like so long ago and I feel like I have not seen this okay interesting well glad glad that um you know he was able to audition and get this because he's he's on really good a really good and again like I said he is embodying everything that is L so I'm here for that I love like also like that's the thing too about an rice is like she like the first book Is All Lou and L is told from Lou's perspective but after this one like all the books l is pretty much the main character okay so there are other so there are other interview books so the first book Is Interview with the Vampire um then there's vampire leat which tells the story uh from his perspective from his being the same story no no no no um it it's it's from his perspective and it's the story of him um becoming Aire yeah like so like he finally tells like what happened to him okay um let me see I have to look them up in order but there's um tale of the body Thief um where uh this uh dude change his bodies with I want to ask a question I feel like me asking this question is going to ruin might be spoilery like I kind of want to ask like so are all these subsequent stories as I look to my mic and not you guys um are all these subsequent stories about the stat without Louie um they are all the adventures it's kind of becomes like The Adventures of the stat um and Lou is not in all of them but he is in some of them best way of saying it I'm very happy to know that at the end of the day this is a story about how Louie cannot be by himself oh God we gonna get into that let's we'll get into at the end because really like the way they ended it I was like oh [ __ ] this is where they're I was fighting I like you ass [ __ ] I was like godamn it no were he what the [ __ ] is it's it's it's so what's interesting about it is that so much of lat's Journey before he comes to Louie is about how do you survive living Forever on your own and so when he meets Louie he is literally like I I've found a companion that will stay and that's why it's so devast Claudia thing happens then he really does see it as like Claudia took him from me like I found my person and you took him from me and instead of like that's our even though they broke up the week before he even though they broke up like the week before Lou made like Claudia and then like you know like you know the start was like if I turn her you'll stay already start to break up back together like we broke up but then I found out I was pregnant two weeks later and we were like sure let's see where this goes is the best man um sh is it yeah sh is it um true in the books that Claudia is she five in the books is that true she was much younger she's like I would say closer to n 10 nine or 10 okay that makes more sense in the movie he was Kristen Stewart at nine or 10 yeah you know Christ um Stuart not Christ uh there so many CH what's her D yeah she was uh Brad Pit was her first kiss because of that movie oh my God there's a part in the movie where she kisses him on the lips and she's like that was my before he before he made her a new mother she does kiss him on the lips that poor child yes the poor child I remember being so jealous of her yourself at the time yes yeah yeah I was like 12 or 13 I was like I will gladly kiss well there is a kiss from the there is a kiss between a child and an adult that is innocent and then there's a kiss I feel like this was like a um a familial kiss yeah it was very sweet it was like you it was the kiss of it was both the like a sweet familial kiss and also the kiss of like two lovers who knew that they were never going to be together again okay that's a lot a lot of emotions a lot of emotions okay so um yeah so we've got Sam Reed just being the best CL thought that he can be as he's drinking the blood of his victim from a decanter and then the Shot opens up with Claudia and Louie also in the room with him and we kind of find out that the plan is still on the plan that was introduced to us in episode 6 where Claudia like well we going to have to kill him cuz he won't let me he won't let me go on my European tour so the answer is death it's like I get it like I get it I get it like if you're being held hostage yeah I mean I either kill you or you let me leave I blame leat because he had the opport unlike the books because again this is this part is really different from the books because it's very clear in the book and in the movie like Claudia is not old enough to to go anywhere alone right um but like like a sixy old baby checking into first class exactly and this one they like made her old enough for her to like cry and go and like you should let her go but I also kind of understand why he doesn't right cuz it's like last time Claudia left [ __ ] like stop cleaning mhm you know so I get it but but but I but I'm also like kind of I mean something Gotta Give but the thing is like Lou okay so this is another question do you okay his name is Louie with an S I feel like I be calling him like Louie with an E how do you guys call him Louie Louie right right okay okay so I don't feel too bad it's it's it's French it's theen it's not Louie it's Lou but spell with an S no it's it's like spelled like um in French it was just the S is silent it's um it's with Lou Louis the 14th is sp like with Lou okay okay as long as I'm not being like on culture just want to make sure Lou because I I I prefer his name being Louie than Louise so oh my Lord okay so let's get into it let's get into it so yeah we have this extremely beautiful opening shot that's sort of establishes where we're at with letop being the king what the [ __ ] Lou is and Claudia being the queen and what the next game will be and um we find out that Claudia's plan is still on but Louie doesn't really know what the plan is she tell him tell him because tell him cuz she can't trust him right cuz your ass will go back and tell your [ __ ] yeah even if you don't want to you tell find sleep in the same coffin not your white not [ __ ] but your white [ __ ] [ __ ] you know CA you know when a black man whenever a black man comes out of gay the first lover is gonna be white no no we don't know that no we don't know that is it true is it noan up how do we know is true true that is so true how how exactly anyway do I want do we should I call out names I'm I'm not I can't remember Nam not gonna I'm not gonna call out any names all I'm GNA say is there's a great Twitter thread of uh black uh gay celebrities and their partners and I think it's [Laughter] I'm not ready for that I'm gonna leave that for Tuesday but um okay okay we find out Claudia is not going to tell Louie what the full plan is because she cannot trust him in his penis and this is this this is how I know Claudia is smart cuz she's like you're part of the plan but only when it comes to execution right everything else just leave up to me and you just keep living on that white man let me handle all the details yes yes and um but basically she's like your feelings you're too much in your feelings with him cuz yeah that's his first love so yeah that's understandable and from there we also kind of see how they've been living where they all kind of it's like when you're all miserable together but you would rather be miserable together than like go outside [Laughter] and it's like this feel like this family is toxic sometimes it's like I'd rather be miserable with y'all than be happy with someone else question Kanye W's lyric look oh is it okay yes it is I remember that but that that's what it's giving and we see how they kind of go about their days from there and then we have a EP a scene where um Claudia is like Mar gr coming got a great plan let's have a no okay no my bad I jumped ahead some white dude comes to their front door with a letter they catch him and he seems like one of those Jehovah's Witnesses with letters being like you're GNA go to hell also you said Jehovah you were like Jehovah was know how say crossing the street from them because I I can't I'm not doing all that talk but yeah and he was and he was um sick so he was kind of like coming to them as as a last feel like he was coming to them as a last resort cuz may cuz they've been living here as for like 800 years yeah yeah they've been living here for over 60 years and they've never gotten any and they never gotten um over older at all since episode three it's been like honey we should go to Europe and [ __ ] never went to Europe I'm so and they never went to Europe cuz well vampires can't cross open water is that what it is I hate them so much we could have been in Paris oh my God although that was a thing in Vampire Diaries the book that they took out was the crossing Open Water there were so many scenes in the um book where like Elena gets away from Damon or Stefon by going over a [Music] bridge one my oh my God but um yeah he's coming like felt like he was coming to in as a last resort and um sha this felt like um I know in the um in the movie there was they introduced to the bubanic plague this felt more like Spanish flu that he was from okay okay okay interesting glad was on the right track well yeah because I think also cuz I took a walking tour while I was in new orans walk and they did talk about that because um New Orleans is a swamp yes it is so when um so a lot of the houses used to have these like sisters of um just like kind of stand like where they held the water for fire um and though so Spanish Flu was like one of the first things to spread and then they were also kind of the first to realize that it was linked to mosquitoes and so then there was like a ordinance to drain the ssts um on in the courtyards and so that was like that helped like get rid of Spanish food that reminds me of like back home we I I feel like sisters are basically gutters MH so like a lot of Nigerian homes you have gutters outside of the main house and like people be like oh but it's outside but it's like yeah but it's outside your gate still like like you don't understand the of germs when you get it yeah they the way they built all the houses was to have the like a courtyard in the center where they would do like the the cooking and the wash and stuff like so that's why they had like these like they were like oh keep water and also cuz in the French Quarter which was the main part of New Orleans all the houses are so close together um that they had to start figuring out things like just in case there was a fire so they started like building the building slightly apart so that like it all these different contamination and [ __ ] yeah yeah it's like the they did it for fire prevention which was very like smart at the time but then like the standing water in a swamp breeds mosquitoes yeah love it love being human and figuring how how not to die um that's so much of what early America early or current what are you talking about you just had a pic where everybody was talking about [ __ ] mask well this clock across my face that puts other people's breath in my face help like what the [ __ ] are y'all talking about said well I don't need scientific reasoning to figure out like your breath directly my face W anyway [ __ ] people but yes yeah so there's a plan Claud is in charge of the plan Louie is only allowed to know some of the plan because he cannot be trusted um because Dick um AKA feelings same [ __ ] and we see how their day today goes and we see the plan start to take shape Claudia is going to like medicinal shops asking for like Arsenic and something else Lum Lum which is like murder murder well cuz Lum um makes you sleep the Arsenic kills you the lottin them keeps the blood warm and that's how you never find out that your mama killed her third husband right and keep in mind that most people take this back in the day you know were taking this St for either medicinal purposes or drugs yeah and you know sometimes both and in there you know what and you know what the Cure from and you know cocaine was basically an anesthetic do you know what the Cure you know what the cure for cocaine is heroin yes it's all drugs it's all drugs love it um yeah cuz yeah we like I don't know I don't know I don't want to get into the why but yes that makes perfect sense um but yeah so Claudia's plan starts to take shape she we see her Louie and L they're on a balcony talking about like M gr and Claudia being the smart child of lat that she is it's like we should totally have like a m gr ball and this entire first half of the episode is just L side eying her being like let's see where this is going as well so Claudia comes up with this idea like after this guy breaks into their home and like L like sucks his neck but then spits out the blood she's like let's have a party we're GNA leave after two it's not 200 years but they should have been left it's the point should have been left but now is exaggerating the amount of years but now let is ready let is like like let's move let's put all the [ __ ] on lease and Louie being Louie is like sure honey sure um so they've now decided to leave and Claudia is like let's have a party let's have a ball and lad at first is kind of hesitant but he eventually decides to go along with it but I also think he kind of wants to go along with it because he's like this [ __ ] is up to something like that seems to be like his biggest motivation and um they meet this politician from like two three episodes ago he's a politician they met in the bar I swear to God I forgot this dude I I totally forgot this I I definitely was following Tom the whole time bastard cuz he's a little [ __ ] um I hated how he did Louie in that uh one episode and I kind of wished uh Lou had killed him along with the other dude like because he basically was all like yeah yeah for Louie like championing him um when he could make money off of him but then when Louie became more Rich than him and the other white men then he like basically stabbed him in the back yeah oh he's a piece of [ __ ] yes yes I agree I agree I was waiting for him to get his I mean he did he did and the the journey to him getting his um is that they go to him and they're like look we want we're leaving town and my guy is like great great what what the [ __ ] I got to do with me and they're like well we know you're part of this like special club that decides who gets to be king and we are here to let you basically it's like an exchange of bribery right they want to leave town they're planning to leave town and to leave town they also want to become like King of the M gra ball which is decided by like a special Coven in the sense of rich fol yes and he has access to these rich folks and to give him like a new boat yeah cuz his boat got um destroyed by um the Nazis yeah yeah Nazis are bad also he um he makes money transporting soldiers um coffins back from war yeah solders dead coffin like yeah so he makes money both ways or some [ __ ] all right and I do love the part which was tell with they tph and came up later in the episode where Lou guy like well who like well we want to make we gonna make the St M cre like you and like I feel for the St cuz like it's one like I might know you're plotting again I might know you're plotting against me but if you want to make me king and you're plotting and I feel like I could win I'm going to say go for it I feel like that's there's a whole George Santos thing right here I I haven't figured it out yet I'm think about it some more but like I understand why the thought is going also ego Al that's probably the answer to Geor also the thing about Tom Anderson very similar to what he did to Louie is he's someone who's jealous of what they have but also he's someone who doesn't like ultimately he doesn't respect Lou because Lou is black and ultimately he doesn't respect lat CU lat is gay yes yeah so he feels very your um your uh pet ass uh satanic y I know another was there I was like he was like [ __ ] piz satanico Rosemary like that must be a whole bunch of [ __ ] Rose this is why it goes back to the stats gay ass because him and Lou both are so [ __ ] over dramatic and Daniel CI they like so extra it's like so he's like it's always some extra [ __ ] with him they smell like Roseberry like [ __ ] you can't [ __ ] somebody smell like Rosary Christmas like Rosemary like why why are you like this like why does everything have to be so extra also he was trying to get away from that whole crew of old ladies who was like feing after him was like apparently apparently the these were women that he met like you know 17 20 years ago and like which one of you old [ __ ] I took under the under the bleachers while your husband was giving a she made sure to say my late husband they were like they were ready to all gang bang like lat that night they were ready and like he cuz l is basically like wow yeah I [ __ ] you while your late husband was giving a speech wow and I'm just like I love all of this but like that's cuz let is trash Oh my God I love it I love it um also I like want to point out I know like we talked about like how much it cost them but like it's a big [ __ ] deal that they managed this because like Marty gr happens and like people plan this [ __ ] like a whole whole year in advance and for them like him to like last minute like become the king like get the costumes together like all like that's un undertaking like but again I do hope that like Louie kept the bank account transfer number where them like okay all of this is funded by lad like I feel like I hope like Claudia did not forget that like y'all have no income right don't work this extremely lavish lifestyle you live is because the stock can call his Banker in Europe and be like yo why $1 million for whatever reasons and that happens and that is why we're able to get this ball but you know maybe we'll see the economics of it in TW in episode two I am always here for the economics of a life I would hope I would hope that Louie and it seems obvious that Louie learned how to how to make money as a vampire did he how how he he that man opened one nightclub well Louie well Louie we do know Lou is business minded he he was a pimp yeah yeah he's aimp he was a pimp he's be he is business-minded I would just hope that like he was just being financed by lot and now that he doesn't have lot you know obsessively he had he had to learn how to combine his money making ways along with being a vampire but I feel like the spoiler ending of the episode with the man says no well I I think it's more also that um cuz you realize he could just like eat somebody and stay in their house so he doesn't you know right and especially like going uh they're planning to leave to go to Europe so like being in Europe is very different from being in America and being black So like um but really what it is is that he he did work and he had the club and he owned that club even though theats like kind of name own that but he hasn't been working in a while and that's what I'm saying there's one thing to have money there's one thing to be rich and there's one thing to be wealthy the is wealthy Lou Got Money there's a difference what I will say though is that um leat didn't come from money I mean yeah but at 200 years of interest you come from money that's like they have a similar Instinct than that way didn't come yeah L is also a hustler yeah but again I just again like lad is ahead of the game yeah that's all I'm saying it's very different too and I will say that's one thing the book does a good job at is hinting at that stuff because I feel like I remember um in the also in the movie like there's a few times when lat will be like oh you know like like he tells Louie in the book is different because Louis comes from a slave owning family um and so you mean in the book in the book yeah and so and in the movie because yeah the continuation from slave owning to pimp owning well because lat often tell like it it's different in from the show in the book and movie because in the show uh Louie doesn't come from money he has to earn his money in the book and in the movie Louie does come from money and lat's always reminding him of that he's like I didn't have all these things like these things that you just have and so there there's a different tension there in in the show it's what makes them very similar and in the book and in the movie is what makes them very different okay yo you're right because like in it f because in the um movie it was it was um lot that was kind of being financed by Lou so I do like that this is a more of a reversal of that power dynamic between them where uh where J mois moji's toxic ass is basically uh all about what all about the stat all about the stat and you got to understand still not completely against him I'm fine well he's also a person that is em phys emotionally physically and financially abusive to I don't have energy for all that other stuff though power differential is all on the side and and I would say in the book the movie it's a little bit different yes the power differential is on a start but Louis never attempts claim it and that Claudia almost is a representation of Louie of Louie having balls what no what I think is different um again this is like a change is in the book and in the movie A lot of um Lou stuff comes from his um religious upbringing and so Mama yeah yeah like no from um cuz his his brother his brother in the book and in the uh the movie his brother was a priest actually I don't know if they go into this in the movie um this might just be but his brother was a priest and so that's also part of the thing like his family is very um embedded in the church so part of his aversion to being a vampire is the religious aspect of it so that's a a lot of like his aversion to drinking blood and all that come is [ __ ] rat like a dumbass yeah the thing is like Claudia doesn't have that so Claudia like out the gate is like she and she's so young She's So Young at the time that she's turned also she's seen a lot of [ __ ] before she was turned well for her it's like this this is all I know she doesn't have that hangup so like from the B because she doesn't have that aversion to being a vampire she's way more like the stat than she's like Lou and that's the one thing I've always like not once I noticed it noticed it I made a point to point it out like Claudia is more a child than [ __ ] Lou like even at the end of this episode I was like it almost felt like Claudia was running game on Louie as much as she was running game on spot yeah I was I can see that a little bit also to um I wonder how much of this is influenced by so uh an rice wrote this book in response to her daughter dying and she said like for the first book like she very much so identified with Louie and um and uh her husband was essentially like what she was feeling about like lat is her husband essentially at that time in their life yeah um and so I wonder like from the sense that I get from the way she talks about that period in her life it seemed like cuz their daughter got really sick um and it seemed like there was some tension in the relationship I think about um how to deal with the daughter dying and so I think that's a a little bit part of what like I wonder what the relationship was like between her daughter and the father like if they were very similar people or if they were like you know had a different type of relationship because it does feel very much so like Claudia is so much like L stop but that's also the thing that makes them not be able to like yeah yeah that makes me sad that's interesting though it reminds me of me and my mom like I have a terrible relationship with me and my mom like I'll be honest with it but some days I'm just like oh it's cuz we're way too alike right like we get each other so much that we can never like kind of Mel because it's like a mirror facing a mirror like you know and I respect her for it I love her for it but also it's like you you got to also understand like it's almost like that Highlander thing like only one can survive which is terrible but that's just kind of like humanity and life and experiences and growing but yeah no this episode I love I feel like Claudia loves Louie but Lou being the type of person Louie is makes me feel like what other the words what other words Louie cannot stand firmly on his pH no he's very codependent it is and it I mean it's it's helpful that everybody immediately falls in love with him and wants to take care of him but that's not a good thing to fall him to take care of him but it's like why does everybody follow and take care of you Lou why why why is that a thing I can't you know and it's it's it's it's it's very heartbreaking in a sense but um okay so Claudia has this plan we've got the party the party's about to go off the politician is there all the friends and folks they've got over the years are also there and during this party lad and Lou have a moment in the ballroom [Music] and well I I want to say my notes um they have a moments on they have a moment on the Terrace and then there's going to be a dance and again highly highly overdramatic the moment on the Terrace was like I smell the honeysuckle on the air like y'all know y GNA betray each other tonight this I'm like n extra and they know they're dramatic they know there's no way you don't know you're in a dramatic relationship when you act like this there's no way so extra all the time everything they do and I I appreciate Daniel when he calls we out later and like y'all are so [ __ ] dramatic like yeah because you you kind of Wonder do people know they're being dramatic it's like yeah they do they do that's just the thing so they have what is a very lovely yet overly dramatic moment on the on the um balcony after um sort of meeting eye to eye on the dance floor and I wrote down Louie continues to be a slave to the dick and oh my bad I mean the dick he could see in the Stock's eyes no okay so I do love while the balcony I thought was over dramatic I do love the scene of the two of them having that final dance um also them kind of like sticking it to the the high society that has judged them for however many year like you know everybody wants to come to the parties and be a part of that the thing but they also want to call them you know pet and all that behind their back kind of like I love that moment yeah and I also do love the fact that like Lou is annoyed that the one part they didn't mention that night is him and like start dancing and like kissing and like a couple in love like he's like H [ __ ] let me tell you let me tell you these PE these these rich white or Aristocrat conservatives they will come to your party they will they know they have a feeling that you all worship the de worship wor devil or made a deal with the devil but they but they ain't about this gay [ __ ] okay they are not about this gay [ __ ] that's evil but the gay [ __ ] which and that's why Claudia gets up it's like hey hey break it up we need stop all this [ __ ] gay [ __ ] for everybody leave [ __ ] up my plan one thing we not gonna do is [ __ ] up she was like slap out of it y'all can be like y'all can be gay later I'm to I was like [ __ ] doesn't kill I start to think like maybe Claudia like Cho to kill Louie and Louie just had to be like put the hands on her like I'm I'm getting those vibes um so they have this beautiful Moment On The Dance Floor they have this beautiful moment on the balcony and then eventually they go back on the floor they kiss as they dance and this is sort of where cuz I was like I looked at the at the time I was like it's been like 25 minutes people ain't dying yet but the second half of the show kicks off at this point where everybody's gonna die and we kind of get a head start with that after the dance on the Dance Floor we get um I don't know like Claudia confirms the deed has been done yes uh cuz Louie cuz Lou gay ass was like maybe we shouldn't maybe we shouldn't do it babbe we should do it like no no I know you was having your moment but it was already done I like like I knew your [ __ ] ass was was gonna was about was G to say some [ __ ] like that she's cuz she's right Lou [ __ ] ass self would not have made this plan work and I'm just godamn okay so the deed has been done through one of the twins and I don't even know this part okay so okay so after the party I will just they had like they had actually a few moments especially watching it rewatching it now knowing how the episode's gonna H and but there's a few moments that like hint at what is about to happen so like Louie hears somebody uh in his head and he says like to Claudia like what did you just say and she's like I didn't say anything um and then there's like another part where they're talking about the plan in their heads um and they're on the street car and you can totally see like the person who's going to show up later on the street car um like they don't try to hide it they they are to look for it but you have to be looking for it yeah yeah love it love it oh so um the party kind of ends and all the people they've selected throughout the night show up at the after party and you know Louie lad and Claudia give this pitch by everlasting life it's like we know you guys have been here you want to know how we still look this good my [ __ ] time was like [ __ ] we drunk okay get to the point if you're paying attention it's like he's drunk it's really him about to fade out and the same thing happens while like lat is telling his whole story about like discovering the Waters of life or whatever um the same thing the twins are kind of falling out so you can see it coming again if you know it's coming it's easier to spot but there right and by watching the original movie of course you know we know the twins of course it's a different context here everybody is older um did y'all and I was I'm sorry I was on had to take that call but did y'all talk about when Louie heard another voice yeah just now yeah but the other the politician guys is all like oh it's how the house is made right I got super excited I got super excited at that point because up until up until this episode we had not seen any other vampires I mean I thought it was going to go a different way which is why I was very very excited I figured this was gonna be like a stranger vampire just what happened to come to the part like oh this is gonna be fine this gonna be perfect for me too but yeah I got kind of excited at that point when Lou when Lou heard the other voice no uhuh the thing with the house is like they I it's a similar thing in uh Buckingham Palace like they used to create um like these rooms in castles and stuff like that and in homes um so that you could hear what was being said across the room was where he dropping on people hey whatever you got to do um so yeah so at this point what I the next reveal is [ __ ] answer that I wasn't expecting be this [ __ ] I thought this you would have been dead in a [ __ ] swamp somewhere but oh again it does bring up the whole idea of the fact that lat is a person who thinks several steps ahead yeah yes and that's what and that's why Claudia said when she when they her and Lou were in that room they were playing chess is like he thinks five steps ahead and you got to think five steps ahead and that's why she ain't tell him nothing she was like go ahead have your little last moments with your boyfriend together no way Lou is who was the St let alone five okay but was but was Claudia not the pimp in this episode absolutely Claudia was like you know what you don't even got to know what's happening just you just keep making out with your man and Shar in the same coffin and I felt so disgusted she's like I do not have time like I'm I'm trying to get up out of here and you trying to play games she like y'all hang out for one hour and your heartbeats mad I dramatic [ __ ] your hearts just beating in time together I love how Claudia talks this episode like before the whole went down yeah she I love how like mil militant Claudia has become over her 39 years word like like we stay in on Massa uh it's so good to get M's W and get M's permission to do stuff I I just love how she was talking I love when she does that in particular because I I feel like leat is one of those like um he's like I'm gay so like I could never be racist and then she like reminds him like no you're Whitey Mech white this this this [ __ ] [ __ ] L said I don't in the second episode I don't see color mean he meant it he meant it with I would imagine well I would imagine after 100 after living for 190 years that you don't really care whether what if somebody is Black or White they're just a person also like 17th century like whiteness and like American 19th century whiteness two completely different things yeah racist both are still racist let's not like but also he's French which is very different the French were not as deeply involved in the slave trade of burn it all down well you had like you have the je like in both in New Orleans and in France you have like a lot of free black people and again not of the same status but free so like in his mind it is a little bit of naivity but like I love that Claudia never lets him off the hook of being naive right Claudia like you like she lets him know that he's a white man yeah yeah she does so I I I love that like and and this is where I when I asked Shana about um her being nine years old in the book so in the book is it is this Claudia plan as a n as a nine-year-old with a a nyear old with the knowledge of a 40y old is this her plan her plan not the whole like let's have a ball and all that kind of stuff but basically because Lou is [ __ ] Lou and he's like eating rats and whatnot her and would often hunt together and so like she brings home um these twin boys and she's like it she she presents it as like a makeup present because they've been like arguing and so she's like let's make up and like have a snack together and that's sweet okay so it's more like the movie but again she does keep Lou oblivious like Lou knows that she's over it but he doesn't know that she's plotting I just find I find that mad that particular aspect of the move I found the particular aspect of the movie and the aspect of the TV show and also the aspect of that book that I would never read terrifying because you have a 9-year-old with the knowledge of a with ages body with me that's what I'm saying you have a you have a 9-year-old passing child with the knowledge of a 40-year old and what that could do I just find like you know horror movies about children overly mature children terrifying you know sense exactly so I I find that's type of get children are friends we don't like at the snake no yeah yeah that's a kind of hard get me like like overly precocious and overly mature children get me and my do and my daughter she has that aspect well your daughter is like a 300 year old woman and like the body of a eight-year-old at she's also a very she's also a very wealthy child as well is Hope if I have a son I've already told you we can make this Alliance work that is my hope if I have it I don't mind that he'll be younger than your daughter make it work yeah so that kind adds to it yeah yeah no no but this entire episode I could absolutely tell that like Claudia was ahead of everybody and I did not like that at all cuz I was really like again it's the problem is [ __ ] Louie yes no let me speak my truth okay thank you I need to write like a [ __ ] Tumblr article or some [ __ ] cuz like for me [Laughter] me the problem is [ __ ] Lou I can't because we know who lad is we know who CLA is the only person we don't know who like oh you you ready to go on a diet to be able to kill your ex right okay that's who you now are you don't it it it was it feels like with this episode it was never really about the people for Lou it was never about the people who die because this episode he's wa he's willing to make tradeoffs for the end game right again in the book it's more about his he is truly averse to it because of his like religious situation I get it comes from that but that's the problem with [ __ ] religion is it's not realistic in the face of life and also I mean they changed this cuz like in the book he doesn't know it's coming like you know he he's not a part of the plan because he who done to be a part of the plan cuz if he was a part of the plan the plan would not work which is why Claudia canot let him be part of the [ __ ] plan cuz he likes the stot too much it feels like you're blaming the ab I'm [ __ ] abuser I knew that was somebody going to call me I feel like you blaming the Abus blaming the I'm not blaming the abuser no you're blaming the Abus for trying to get out of the ab the abuse without blaming the abuse he to play along with the plan in order to even know what the plan is he don't even know and you knowbody okay let's go to the to pay along with is the the part where he has to pretend to to eat and and be cool with I you know what I would take the hit if it wasn't last drink of the night just me and I am someone who drinks you guys can see it right now I still buy Capri son's 10 pack 12 pack have it by my house just you know in case I need something sugary um and Lou just goes up to one of the twins and he's just like oh yeahall left him for me and the way Louie just takes a sharpened nail to just L my bad just sharpen nail just plucks that man it reminded me of how I like drink a pre Suns cuz it just starts spouting of blood and Louise was being so [ __ ] dramatic with this as well dramatic when is he not dramatic [ __ ] just bite the [ __ ] you got the bus she's been East dropping the entire night and the thing is again if you go back and watch it now knowing she's sitting right in front of you no and mind you like I looked at whoever had the [ __ ] balloons in the bus mad shadily I was like why the [ __ ] you just got a bunch of balloons on a [ __ ] bus my guy and then you kind of just realized it's all sort of been a plan from the very beginning and this is why Claudia was like I don't trust you I definitely can't tell you [ __ ] yeah you spend one hour with him and your heartbeat becomes in sync and I was like oh CL you're dead but um but yeah so I did love the line where is like I have loved you with all of myself that's that's when I jumped back to being on teamless and I'm sorry I was like [ __ ] this [ __ ] Anette [ __ ] Anette yes I like [ __ ] Anette CUA she DB let just fight like how dare you Som okay so like shit's about to go down the is all like he said some [ __ ] like my love and like Lou thinks like L is talking about him and L's like oh no not you [ __ ] my other [ __ ] no my other [ __ ] and then like that's when that come through [ __ ] like stop like [ __ ] I'm bisexual is gay you're gay I'm bisexual and I was like but at the end of the dayet Dead look because no but the thing is cuz really when I do think about it having read all the books like you never outright say Louie is gay but every single long-term relationship that Louie has had has been with a man whereas leat like legit has been with men and women equally here living his life and Lou just like every every relationship my in is is the love of my life and I'm like Lou that's not how relationships work that's not how everyone you're with cannot be the love of your life Louie but that's that's that's a learning process stop like don't get it twisted I love [ __ ] okay but I come home to Lou I come home to you yes I hate the toxic me so much no because thing to like again I go back to the beginning of this episode where Lou was like he's like I can pretend I used to like mess with this girl like you know to keep up pretenses and like Claudia was like whatever no you like everybody knows you like dick true [ __ ] up because there was a third option which is everyone [ __ ] learn to get along but I was willing to embrace that just like I just don't [ __ ] with that [ __ ] I don't like your face [ __ ] and can't even be mad at her cuz Claudia Lou Claudia was stop can't even be mad they can only be one but this goes straight back to Louie Louie make a decision pick a person I mean obviously the person he going to pick is a SP and then two is what I really appreciate about um the cuz I think both do a good job like at the end of the day Claudia is Lou's child it is literally like asking you to choose between your partner and your kid and he's always going to choose Claudia cuz she needs to be protect until the reality of the situation comes through like no but still I mean at the end of the day he slit that throat n not all the way when talking about giving he but he didn't burn the body so let's get there right okay like wait a minute the sling of the throat do you need to read your note from that or I have notes yes let me read my notes so okay reaching not about SL the throat cuz I have I have a thought about that okay so Claudia returns they thrown they like slit his throat he's there bleeding and like Lou is there being traumatic and like CLA is like oh this is so cute and soon is dead he is dead let me go to my bedroom she comes back her notebook and like literally uses lat's own blood to write his very last own words P um well I felt like the slitting of the throat now keep in mind in the beginning of the episode Louie is explaining to um to to homeboy to Daniel about how to kill a vampire and he does mention like fire um fire um starvation and the decapitation works and he slits L's throats to bleed him to bleed him out even though when you uh it's not bleeding him out entirely but he s his stroke I felt like that was a part of the mercy of that oh yeah it's a part of the mercy it's a part of the fact that go ahead to keep him from the pain of this dead blood that he drank but also in a way to make him make it seem like he is dead to Claudia you're assuming he he is making a linear decision you're assuming I think yeah I think it's like I think in Lou's mind he was putting him out of his misery and ending it faster yeah but uh I don't yeah I don't think any of what Lou does is necessarily conscious I think it's all subconscious and that's worse could be that's [ __ ] worse that's the problem he he's like oh we're I'm I'm I'm absolutely on team Claud yeah we going to kill a St and then the moment comes and guess what he's not going to [ __ ] kill a St cuz that's his man and he might love cardia he might pick cardia over lat but he's gonna pick lat eventually dying all the way over cardia I felt like and this is something the part of them Shannon's read the book I've only had the movie to go by but I felt like it was more so that yeah I want be free of the abuse of this man but I don't want this man to die and I think a Louie more than he's abuse Claudia well yeah that's what let me get serious for a minute here because you have people that are in abuse that are either in abusive relationships or have been a part of abusive relationships that do of course they don't like being abused but they do love their partner and they don't necessarily want that person to die but they do but they want they just want the abuse to end and I think when it comes down to it that you know Louie just wanted to be free of the man but he didn't want the man to be he didn't he still wanted the man to be able to prosper and be able to be be able to be alive and it's and that's just that that's just that thing where you know abuse is a is very very tricky it's you know it it it it's um it's harmful it's comp is also complicated you know and especially when you have these romantic relationship these romantic relationships and I think that um that's why I feel like Louie was struggling so much with trying to read himself of the and that's why I come down on you so hard about you being so much of a l lover I'm not a lover L okay no my [ __ ] you was you I've been on okay I love L yes whatever but that is not like negate the suffering that Lou has gone through it's absolutely not like I hope that hasn't been like I hope that that hasn't been as I WRA my head scarf because I don't know what else to do right now I hope that has not sort of been like the answer as you wrap your head scar on some H tip [ __ ] because youp [ __ ] no because to hit a woman really very precious right now a man is schooling a woman about complications of abusive relationships I hate all no I want like to be happy but like by the end of this episode like a lot of the decisions that we kind of see come to Louie just feels like Louie keeps making bad decisions and I don't want I want Louie to just be happy in a healthy relationship but we seems like one of those talk about that at the end be Happ relationship that's it let's let's get into it okay let's get into it so the so um there's a fight out between Antoinette and basically everybody Lou lat whatever whatever L is poison and tett is like ah I got you Claudia and tries to make like Claudia eat or suck the blood off one of the twins and eventually when Claudia realizes that like theot is at their Mercy she attacks Anette and stabs her with a [ __ ] uh I don't know the official name right now but like a uh yeah like a firewood poker which kills her um and then no it doesn't it kills her enough yeah um it incapacitates her and lad is kind of there like wow Louie really really my guy g go let this happen he's gonna make me die and Claudia is like I will give you 10 minutes figure the [ __ ] out and she walks out Louie slits lat's throat he bleeds Lou is all dramatic about it and um we let stop bleed out and die quote unquote and then we start seeing them burn all the bodies including Antonette and then all of a sudden they're like What's that wow that's going to be real hard for us to do no that burning his body would have added so much extra work even though the entire plan we've been burning bodies for [ __ ] 60 years but all of a sudden burning Bri to a brid too far we can't burn I was like how did we get him confused cuz the entire plan for three episodes is let's kill a but okay we're just gonna like kill the was like like it felt like that that was like like Claudia reached that point oh my God I all of them cuz that was the plan but all of a sudden like let's thought that we're not going to kill them all the way and um this is where things get complicated and this is where I I kind of start getting like Fight Club Vibes where it's like somebody's memory and what they want us to think and what the actual reality of the situation is like it just got very like complicated and um Louise is all like yeah like St was dead and drained out of life in his eyes and um Louise though like Yeah I wanted to kill him but me and Claudia decided not to kill him it feels very much like me and me and Claudia decided not to do it not and I was like that feels like not Claudia but I do love and we did not talk any hardly any at all about the current Day stuff um it all it all but it doesn't really matter until yeah cuz that's what happens is like it blows up at the end and then it's like the current Day stuff comes into like Focus right but I do love that Daniel does call oh I love it so much Lou on that on on that U on his [ __ ] about why the [ __ ] didn't you burn the body like Claudia was down from what I know about this girl from from the from the stuff I know from her from the part of her D diaries that was not redacted uh she was down for some she's down for some ready to kill when we get to the the the reveal I'll tell you I look I it put so much into Focus okay yes so exactly so Moji yes now that now that we're here now that we're essentially here and we've um when I was on the show and and when I was on the show at the first time and when and when I was on a show with Carly we were asking you did you get any Vibes off of um rash was it rashed I mean rash stay been Shady like we been Shady specifically asking you did you get any type of Vibes off of shitty ass Vibes that's about it like I was can't trust that [ __ ] that that was The Vibes yes so so you had no idea I felt like the reveal but after the whole like Dreamscape [ __ ] that like Daniel had I was like I can't trust him even more now right because that was because as we um alluded to that he does Daniel in that D in that drug induced state that because the doctor has given him the doctors in Dubai has given him different drugs as we than what he was getting in America he was getting better drugs good Dubai for his for his Parkinson disease and he had that Vivid dream remembering Rasheed being in um the 90s yeah looking the same looking the same looking good his jerich girl is still on fleet yes does not look like a very wise shouldered Blazer look rash has not had a bad hair day in 300 years y'all right so that's why I love it like I said we didn't we didn't talk about the present day stuff but I do love all the present day stuff when rasheid is coming in and we're now in the camera is finally focusing on those little details about rashed that the show didn't like give us where Rasheed always wears gloves Rashid is always dressed in black Rasheed even though we saw just look like an [ __ ] right so I do like those little details that the show is now finally showing us that Daniel is finally noticing about rash that he didn't him walking in the sun he notices him walking in the Sun right immaculate yeah so like so okay so let's see where we at where we at so they burn all the bodies they okay they burn all the bodies and he doesn't want to burn L lat's Body which I don't blame him because Lal go s and [ __ ] and I know I hated it I hated it I was like this is not cool and from there on we've got back in the present day we've got Daniel calling Lou out on his decision to not burn the spot but instead to leave him on the [ __ ] sidewall and I don't think he's wrong I absolutely believe like if garbage people just s a coffin I'm not opening that [ __ ] up I'm just throwing in a truck and I'm moving along with my dat also given the time yes that is you know not my business we're talking about like also Louisiana where um it's like uh you you have to be buried in a crypt if you're not buried in a [ __ ] you kind of are just tossed in the swamp yeah and also I feel like in 2023 today my my garbage man not opening that coffin just going to let it go that's going to be the next person's Shob to figure out so I absolutely believe it's just like the next person's business so but as soon as like the combination of Daniel calling him out on the fact that like they didn't burn the stock and also the combination of like oh so you just let him go to the dump and I know what happen to the dump I was like I'm going to love season two cuz see at that point I was like oh season two is Louie versus [ __ ] Armand well okay cause no no let me finish let me finish cuz two in my head is GNA be Louie versus Aman because do you mean Lou versus L no my bad no not Lou versus lat it's GNA be versus Aman because it's all about [ __ ] Lou I mean there is that like you know again because they're their relationship is such that uh lat again had hoped to find His companion for all time and think he has but they're just [ __ ] terrible at [ __ ] communicating like I I genuinely believe Lou and lat make a good couple but communication wise nah they're terrible it's almost like [ __ ] Tony stalk and um [ __ ] Captain America the [ __ ] cutest couple ever but they suck at communicating okay oh but I do have one more question for sha the end of the movie Christian Slater meets um lot yes so it's Christian is the is Daniel is in the book is the Daniel character in the book after that after that interaction yes okay good that's all I need to know okay that's all I need to know okay cool might actually I actually might read the book then because I found this I found that part read book I do I have see I have to read so much for work I feel yeah and like I have to read so much for work and pull up reports and everything Anis I like my time respect and understand that absolutely so the what I was saying and I think I can say this without uh being uh spoilery is based on how this ends I think the second part of this season or the the SEC the season two is really going to be about um Claudia and Louie in Europe and then also why are Louie and Arman together yeah I feel like I can already tell like Aman like brainwashed Lou because he's an idiot and like that comes after like him fighting the Claudia so the thing that I notice now like like with that reveal the thing that was really like that really made sense to me is I'm like oh now it makes sense why Armand has almost been curating this exchange cuz he's brainwashed [ __ ] lutely yeah because is it because you think he's brainwashed L are we on the same page no it's I'm not listening to you Shana no it's because it's not about brainwashing but it's because the thing that uh Daniel calls out at the end of this episode of like Lou tells himself the story in the way that makes himself feel better about the story there are things that are that Lou is willing and and it also goes back to his time with L Lou is willing to ignore things that he knows like inside are true in order to continue living the life that he wants to continue living and so I think Arman SL rashed has been watching this interaction very closely because there are things that Daniel is able to pick up on that Lou that doesn't want Lou to know and it feels go ahead Joan I I apologize to all the men out there listening like yes this Mand okay I feel I feel like the way that they introduce Armand and Arman AKA Rasheed into this story I feel like Arman is the architect of this whole interview I feel like Arman orchestr orchestrated this this whole thing uh and made Louie basically made Louie his Avatar to tell his to tell the story that because Aman wants to air all this [ __ ] out Aman is Le over 500 years I know there was a scene earlier about there are other vampires that won't be happy about that will not be happy about this and if they actually heard this whole thing that they would come and try to I feel like Aman wouldn't let this [ __ ] get out if he didn't want it am no Aman definitely wouldn't let it get to that particular point but I feel like this is Arman he does Arman necessar doesn't want to tell his story but he's gonna he's going to let Lou say his story whatever he thinks it is yes he's going to orchestrate Louis telling his in order to get the knowled ofm out yeah to let to get this whole vampire story out there in order to tell this in order to tell the story and I love at the end where we do I do love a little detail at the end where our mind goes to the very top shelf because of course Dan they have a l a tall enough L to get and also wait wait okay I noticed that [ __ ] too right cuz like Louis is like a reading ass [ __ ] like I am right so one thing that will never happen that you you will never see me have bookshelves taller than me because I 5'2 but like over in Louis's house in Dubai all these [ __ ] bookshelves are like eight feet tall and above but you never see like a [ __ ] like ladder type thing which when like all of a sudden at the end you see Aman just oh I'm Superman I can just float up here get a book I'm like of course you can right I don't know he has all these play bills I do love that he has all of these ancient play bills from the 1500s and everything I love that little detail which again makes me just like be more scared of Aman like it just it feels like Aman has just like putting like Louie into this fake ass relationship and Louie doesn't realize he's in a fake ass relationship and this called pendent ass relationship it's not it's codependent it's codependent yes cuz first of all the way wait wait wait no cuz the way he left his first codependent relationship is not how you leave a codependent relationship which means while I go back again season two is GNA be I [ __ ] hope a fight point but um yeah just seeing his crew and everything else my that was like that was um my favorite part of the movie it was one of the scariest parts of the movie especially when they what they did to Brad Pit and what they did to Kristen dun that was really really scary and um I I want to see that realized by the fact that amand is here in the modern day opens up so many possib like is Aman like fully evil not evil fully evil he's not evil he's as evil as L is I would say based on my experience of he's passive in a sense that he's passive in a sense that was dangerous I wouldn't say he was evil cuz like I do love how he mentions like I like he mentions like Daniel like I could have let him wreck you but I did Armand which goes back arm is not evil and Armand is not passive Arman is calculating I'm just going by a movie I felt that he could have stopped something he could have stopped sh a very both you I need you I need Moji I need you to close your ears for a second no I wanton out I'm like close your ears um take your headphones out when you say that he could have stopped something that is your clue that Louise work yes he could have and he chose not to ah I see what you're saying based on what we said okay I see but arm is extremely powerful he is than he's more powerful than L he's almost 300 years older than okay so like Lou is now wait wait um Joan pause so Lou has now gotten into a relationship with a man who is way more calculating and manipulative and powerful than the sty that's how abusive relationships usually [Laughter] work it takes sometimes it takes a couple I'm really tired got me tired got me tired I don't like it I don't like it I don't like it [ __ ] um okay okay okay um yeah the thing about the thing about Armand is that he's extremely powerful and anything that happens is because he wants it to happen or because he's okay with letting it happen well yeah we do see that he's been like I said I feel like he's orchestrated this whole interview he's the one that's been redacting parts of the um reading materials that he's allowed Daniel to see I do not believe those materials are destroyed at all I believe those materials are still around they're just redacted from his View and from Lou's memory I don't think it's taken from Lou's memory I think it goes back to Louie sees what he wants to see and he believes what he wants to believe I want to punch him in the face of that I not for Dom there are certain things that he wants face there are certain things that he wants to believe because other otherwise he would not be able to live the life that he's living right and here's my thing what I hope to see in season two is while I would look I want to see um Arman uh AKA Rasheed I want him to course still be involved but at the core of the story Louie is a person that still believes in humanity and I do not believe that Louie would ever hurt Daniel in any I don't believe that Lou would ever hurt Daniel and that's why I loved about the love about the Daniel character in this generation because as a older man and not a younger man as a older man that has the wisdom over Louie who is still essentially a 30y old a 28 30 year old dude that has has been manipulated by older men literally and figuratively and I believe that if there was a and what I would like to where are you going like my homeboy de says let me land I would while I would love to see Arman in the story I want to see a scene of Daniel and Louie like this dude is manipulating you the same way the L did you know and while you may not trust me or while may you have a certain feeling about me this dude does not have your best interest at heart and you are still and like I want like come with me or something like that basically like hey come Me Maybe not come with me but like basically Daniel kind of like telling Louie like Hey listen to this story you falling into these same traps and that's hearing that that's why I don't think that Arman orchestrated the interview I think Arman has been trying to circumvent the interview because Arman knows that Daniel is the person who sees all those things no and also I think it's very clear that like Louie thinks he's a good person and not to say he's not a completely good person he is a good personing he's not a good person he is a good person say he's a terrible person but he's a good okay okay okay Lou fan club relax univers and by that I mean the entire universe within the story is the Louis fan club just so you know you're the only one I'm not a Louis fan club remember I'm just saying that I feel like y'all Let Louise skate on a lot of [ __ ] um in if feels like just like lat Aman rashed or whatever his [ __ ] name is letting their entanglement with Lou not an entanglement J yes yes is leading to to make a lot of decisions that involves Louie you know what I don't think is also as far as the show is concerned even in the even though it's in the modern day I don't think it was a mistake by making this again I don't have the book or the to go by but I have just the movie Christian stayer character was just a regular like saying I'm sorry Jan I'm sorry to interrupt I just got to say it but all I'm saying is if [ __ ] Lou is going to end up with am man why I just stay with L well that's what we're saying okay I wasn't sure I wasn't sure like my I just took off my glasses cuz my brain hurts my brain really hurts I well well my point was that I don't even while the show is with the show being in the Martin day I don't think that it is any um accident that they made Daniel in this iteration of the show an investigative specifically an investigative journalist whereas in the first movie Christian Slater was just like a down on his luck journalist everything they made this guy an investigator which I think is going to like bring some more Nuance into the story moving forward this feel this whole first season actually feels like a prologue yeah yeah yeah and I think again it's like like you said because he is an investigative reporter he is he is unearthing the things that even Louie doesn't want to see about himself and and also um that that then is scary for rased slaman so that's why he's been like that's why he's been in the in the background of every single scene like like let's not go too far maybe you want to take a nap and and it was the whole first part of the Season you are interpreting that as him being protective are you saying that like Aman is just as much as a sucker for Louie as L thought was literally everyone literally everyone I don't I don't know how a better EXP tell me Lou is not the villain so no he's not who's the vain just out here being cute and like living of being Vic yeah he's a victim he's a victim of his looks the thing again okay explain this genely want you to if you if you think of it like it's weird if you think of it like everybody every vampire has a special gift um you know legit like they do like certain things become more powerful as you um as you age or you you gain certain like all vampires gain a a better immunity to the Sun the older they get but like also each of them has like a special gift and some of these are gifts that they had as humans that are then Amplified when they become vampires and and some of them are given to them when they become vampires but if you almost think of Lou's gift as like attraction that's what he has there's something about Louie where again the most he can meet the most ancient of vampires like people who have been on the Earth but it's not his fault of years and they are boted with him and it also makes them want to have him he's almost like a a pawn that gets passed around by these vampires he was very much so like terrible and I'll take you one further like we said earlier in the show that Lou doesn't ask questions at all and uh espe he didn't ask questions of the sty about how l stock can do certain things or what can he do as a vampire it's been Louie was what six was 60 something years old uh at the end this final episode is was 1930 something he's now a little over like over years old why the [ __ ] Lou has never asked his new boyfriend or even tried to fly no nothing he ask him nothing he's never Because he believes that he cannot do it so Lou he believes he can't do it but um Lou is and we've all seen House of the Dragon here so like you remember that episode where um rera wait reras rera the aunt the aunt aun no Jesus [ __ ] Christ Ry the Auntie meets with um Allison right after they like do the whole coup and um Rene Rene rise Rene thank you Rene is like so wow [ __ ] you were just going to like you aren't even trying to break free just trying to break put a window in your in your PR yeah putting you're putting another man in char when some in this process you could have just and you're not even interested and that's just all I get with that no and then also because Louie um Louie spends so much of his time either denying himself human blood or drinking mainly animal blood that really seem to be a problem this episode but like in general that's why he doesn't he doesn't develop even when he's much older he doesn't develop the powers as easily um because that it's it's like one of those like not self-fulfilling process it's like cyclical it's like um because he doesn't drink the blood so he doesn't think he has the power but then also he has a lot more power in the relationship in the fact that these people will do almost anything to have him but he doesn't see it in that way he sees himself as like constantly being in the role of being like care of and taught rather than like owning his own power if and I think a great Point um Rashid am whatever makes is like when he tells Daniel you would not be here if I didn't hold him back which yeah he's also very strong but it's almost like he disassociates from what he's able to do and just would prefer to like be the victim not not and Lou denies himself so much he denies himself so much so that when he does like it's very out of control and that's why moderation is a thing you can't all no one's an angel their entire life no one's a devil their entire life you got you got to give you got to give yourself some space and just live you can't do one or the other cuz then you end up becoming like a weird sociopath he should just enjoy he should have just had fun with Lou and tell told Claudia to go on vacation for 48 years and let his Freak Flag I mean I think he needed to get out of that relationship no matter what but did he leave the relationship cuz we know I hope there's no way y'all a gonna bring Sam Reed back for season two no he's different he the relationship he coming back what I will say what I will say is that uh Louie and uh lat never have no they never have the same relationship that they had in [Music] those but I do you can see that halfway through this season we don't see many scenes of after the first couple episodes because that [ __ ] is abusive it is abusive but like at the end of the day you caping no [ __ ] you caping for the ab for the abuse I'm caping for the love I'm caping For The Love [ __ ] was never love be sure cuz he on now is that we don't know exactly cuz Lou [ __ ] [ __ ] okay okay okay we got to wrap this up this is over two hours y'all um this this is your show and I am not done that this this abusive toxic relationship never gets back to being the initial I wanted to go back to episode two where I was happy and he was like lifting him up with his dick and we were you you know it it's um it's don't know if it like given the time of year that it dropped cuz it dropped in like November if it it's eligible for stuff for this year that's a good point sh and that's a good point Shaya that probably was not in his favor that it did drop so that it dropped so late so maybe we'll see when it comes down to em time and stuff next year hope so cuz if it doesn't I hope everybody listening goes hard as [ __ ] well you like those white women that voted in Andrea rasb for the um for the they cheated they cheated yeah yeah that was that was a little bit of a sneak news and information about them in the next year however I have to um if you guys have any it sounds like you're like letting us know that you will be stalking these men you like you I just want to let you guys know officially un officially I will be officially stalking Sam Read Jacob Anderson for 2023 2024 um maybe maybe not it'll be really interesting to um to see what next season is like because it's a whole different location it's a whole different I so happy they finally leaving on I'm sure they're building the six like because Jesus Christ is sp was like can we leave now we leave now leave it cannot cost a lot to make this show so I'm sure they're like in PR it really cannot but also again it's like all the fans out there saying they're watching at least I think this is a way better show than people assume it kind of reminds me of like season one of preacher and how good that was and people were like they didn't know [ __ ] relax what I said Relax that was W so you don't think want to preacher was good preacher I miss preacher that was preacher preacher was all right wow I love Bruce Nea I'm sorry thank and she had her white boyfriend in there come on life boyfriend
