My thoughts On Linkin Park New Singer Emily Armstrong

hello everyone this is Spirit from Spirit speaks today's topic we're going to be talking about the new lead vocalist for linol Park her name is Emily Armstrong uh Emily Armstrong is her name and basically there's been a lot of Buzz a lot of going on uh not only that they yesterday they did a reunion concert for the fans and we got to see inside of like how well she could perform some of the some of the class from linoln Park you know she does a bang up job in terms of how she sings and performs it's not quite like it's not quite like Chester Bennington she is no way trying to replace Chester Bennington because Chester Bennington he was a force to not to be reckoned with I didn't really know anything about uh Emily Armstrong I didn't even know like where she even came from you know she sings well she has a powerful voice but like where where did she come from and how did Mike Sure Know even even knew about her 2018 2019 he's been working with a lot of different people from a lot of different sources in the music industry it's in his nature to work with people and to keep going musically you know the past couple of days you will see like videos of Emily Armstrong singing the songs and even linol park has posted the the reunion concert and you could see based on her performance and the way that she sings a song that not only does she sings sings the songs well but she kind of reminds you a little bit of Chester bettington and I'm going to say this I'm not saying this in a bad way but she kind of sort of looks like Chester Bening thing in a way so here's a little bit of like the information that I dugged up about her she was a musician and artist in the band called Dead Sarah and dead Sarah has been going on for like since 2002 up until now so I listened to a couple tracks from that band and the the sound uh definitely reminds me a little bit of Arctic Monkeys and Foo Fighters Royal Blood it's interesting to see how her vocals have changed over the years in that band going from that band to going to Lincoln Park truth of the matter is we don't really know much of how well she could perform in linol park cuz she only just started the really exciting news is that that there's going to be a new album in November and we only got a sneak peek at the first song which is a empty machine and I really like it you know it definitely hearkens back to the days of like Minutes to Midnight really do like it it's a good introductory song to the new album you know you could definitely see the influences in Emily Armstrong she says that her her influences are from like Nirvana and uh a band called L7 which was a grunge band she has worked with people like uh Court uh Courtney Love she did a cover of the song called Heart-Shaped Box made for the video game Infamous Second Son she worked on that song and she did a really fantastic cover of heartshape box so you could tell that she was a big fan of Nirvana she has that Grunge element to her so one of her inspirational bands was uh Fleetwood Mac that's where she got the the band's name dead Sarah because one of the Fleetwood uh Mac songs was called Sarah so I guess that's where they got the inspiration like in terms of her performance in influences like like people like Iggy Pop and James Joplin uh were her major influences during her time with dead Sarah her band she found she found her label called uh product kid records she published her first album and uh By the time when they got to the third album Warner Brother Studios published their third album called ain't it tragic and I could start to see the the reasons why and how Mike shenoda and Emily Armstrong got together you know uh people that work with uh Warner Brothers Studios probably have a way to link up how did Mike shenot meet Emily Armstrong and basically like I said before they they practically just you know Mike shenoda wanted to just collaborate with many people um and Emily Armstrong just happened to be in studio and he heard her voice and really he really dug what he was hearing he says in an article that um like when em Emily Armstrong was like performing some songs and writing stuff uh Mike shanod just felt like yeah this feels like l park you know Mike shanod really felt like she was the one to not replace uh Chester Bennington but to kind of start a new era you know if Mike shot gives you your blessing you take it in the meantime you know when Emily Armstrong was like working with Mike Shinoda she didn't really know the future of Lincoln Park or she had an open mind she didn't really know what was going on but she just wanted to write songs for the for the love of writing song and uh yeah that's basically all I know about Emily Armstrong I I didn't really know about the band Dead Sara but I listen to it definitely seems alternative punkish in a way good band not really my my kind of thing but her in Lincoln Park people seem to like her she definitely has that raw energy the the voice is strong she definitely plays the part and acts the part I found some controversial things that I might have to address because a lot of people are talking about it and people are now talking about like Emily Armstrong's Origins the fact that she has been in Scientology and uh the fact that she defended Danny Masterson he was a actor in in the show called that 7 show and he was convicted of some serious uh that I will not discuss right here but uh it's very very confusing because a lot of exciting news is going on in the world of l park but then all of a sudden this has kind of come in the Forefront if this comes to like you know let Emily talk and say her peace but it's not looking good especially that this is all new and she just started working with the band and and she's she's going to have an album out with l Park in terms of linoln Park the band really likes her the fans like the way that she sing people are speculating this whole thing with Scientology and um I don't really know what to say about that because I'm not you know this is all alleged stuff so I'm not really good with that I'm just going to I'm going to sit this one out when it comes to the controversial stuff of the her vocal range and I think she could definitely carry lincol Park uh she's definitely not going to replace Chester Bennington Chester Bennington was an angel uh with a demonic freaking vocal range nobody can ever duplicate that or replicate Chester Bennington Emily Armstrong can definitely carve a new era for linky Park and I'm just waiting for all this to unfold yeah that's basically it
