Week 1: K/DEF RANKING TIERS! (top 10 each)

what's crack lacking welcome in to my mind as a weapon fantasy football show Welcome in to episode 31 everybody I am your host sball today's episode is going to be my defense and kickers Top 10 rankings for week one this is the end of my rankings for week one so if you guys want to check out my videos before I did tight ends wide receivers running backs and quarterbacks all before and my goal as a content creator this season is to get all my content out before the Thursday kickoff so you can see it all before I struggled with that last year this year I should be on point now before we to be a little different you're not going to see a Ballers tier and you're not going to see a tier three I'm going to use tier one and tier two for my top five each kicker rankings I'm going to use tier four and tier five for my top five defense rankings headed into week one I will break them down a little bit and what I look for in kicker rankings is a high-powered offense which is what you want and a defense that they're going up against that either struggles in the red zone or their offense is very putrid and bad this year so starting off my first kicker of the week we're going to talk about them combined together here because it is the Thursday night kickoff game here so I have Justin Tucker ranked one and Harrison bucker ranked two both these offenses are very powerful both these defenses rank in the top 10 this is the first game of the year Thursday Night Football so you know the offense are going to be a little sluggish out the gate probably for the first half it will kick it in the second half I'd like it a low-scoring game and both these Red Zone defenses were in the top 10 last season so they're both going to be stopping people in the Red Zone every time and these are great great kickers to have in week one and this God I can't we're five days away baby I cannot wait for the NFL to start these are my top two kickers of the week to start off heading to number three here it is going to be Evan mcferson going up against the New England Patriots this week now Evan mcferson just got his contract signed if Jamar isn't out there I think it even helps Evan mcferson even more the Patriots defense ranked 21 last year in the Red Zone they were very very bad in the red zone as well so this could be a full-blown Bengals blowout game where they score tons of points and Evan mcferson has a cannon he can make 50 yard kicks we know this all day I love Evan mcperson as my Kicker three this week number four is going to be Kim bar bar I hope I said his name right Houston Texans kickers now what you guys got to realize here about Kai Faber as well is last season he averaged 9.5 points per game as a kicker which was kicker three he did he did have injuries last season which cost him points you know in the season which is why he wasn't ranked high as a kicker but now you get the Houston Texans offense you get Stefon digs you get niiko Collins you get tank Dale Dalton Schultz Joe Mixon this offense is going to be scoring at will they get the Indianapolis Colts this should be an absolute smash point game for cim faren Baron this season number five is going to be Jake Elliott Friday Night Lights football first the Green Bay Packers the Eagles offense with Kell Moore as the offensive coordin this offense should be flying at a fastpaced you have AJ Brown Devonte Smith they bring in Johan doson at a trade to go along with Dallas SC we don't know about his oblique yet I think he's going to play and you have saquan Barkley to go along with Jaylen Herz this should be a feast game of points for the Eagles I know it's like like it's a Friday night game too like it's the first game of the season on Friday it could be a little sluggish SL slow start but Green Bay's defense is also good in the red zone and there should be a lot of kicking attempts for Jake Elliott this week number six now this is my number one kicker on the Year this season guys young ho coup I have him at six this week just because I'm tempering kurk cousins off in Achilles that's it I want to see how he looks week one I will probably have young Hoku in my top five every week because the Falcons have the number number one easiest schedule in the NFL this season they are going to Feast they play in a dome for or 12 games this season as well so I mean you're going to get no weather problems for about six games with him he's going to have the ultimate kicking all day Kurt Cousins now at the helm Drake London Bean Robinson Tyler aler even Darnell Mooney now added this offense is going to be electrically flying around Arthur Smith is out of town and I love young H who is a kicker every single week but again I'm going to leave him in my lower tier this week just cuz I want to see how K cousin looks off the Achilles number seven you get Jason Sanders and like I said you want offenses that score points and the Miami Dolphins this is what they do folks they just score points so you're going to get the Jacksonville Jaguars this week at home they're probably going to drop 30 plus points Jaguars defense is very bad ranks 29th their secondary is awful they're going to get toasted the problem why I'm a little more scared on Jason Sanders this week is because the Dolphins scored just touchdowns man and PHS don't help you as much as field goals but I do think he'll get a couple attempts here in this game and I like Jason Sanders at number seven number eight and N we're going to do together here because this is a great kicker if they're available on your wires right now Greg zerine is on a lot of wires I see so I have Jake Moody at eight and Greg zerline at nine so I have them here for this reason right here the 49ers defense was number one in the Red Zone the Jets Defense number two in the red zone now you have Aaron Rogers back healthy right we don't know how he's going to look 40 years off the Achilles I hope he comes back healthy both these offenses should be flying both this be a bloodbath game man so I I firmly believe you're going to see a lot of offenses get down there like the 49ers going to get in the Red Zone the Jets are going to get in the red zone and they're probably going to get stopped man which is tough to say but I think it's going to happen and I think this could be a lot of lot of field goal attempts here and I'm going to add my pick of the week that I'm avoiding which people are going to think I'm crazy right here I'm going to leave it right here on the side for now but I'm going to go to my number 10 first Jake Bates if you do not know who this guy is Jake Bates is now the kicker for the Detroit Lions the Detroit Lions get 14 games in a dome this season the number one offensive line every single weapon is back healthy you have leaport Alan R st Brown jir Gibbs David Montgomery they bring and Tim Patrick Jameson Williams is do for a breakout khif Raymond everything is here for the Lions to just score points at will and Jake Bates is on wire still and he 100% should not be if you play with kickers in your league I love Jake Bates at 10 right now and I'll probably be moving him up as the week goes on now why I do not have Brandon Aubrey the guy that just made a 66 yard field goal in the preseason I know people are going to give me why isn't Brandon Aubrey in your top 10 here's why see TD Lim just signed his contract missed a lot of Camp he's probably going to be rusty out there week one he'll probably kick in week two week three get it you know he still has a connection with Dak the Cowboys lose two big offensive linemen in the off season beades and Smith are gone big pieces missing their running game is not good I don't care what anyone says dvin cook Ezekiel ellot Rico D's going to be rough guys and they get the Cleveland Browns which is my number one ranked defense on the road to start the freaking season I know when I say defenses are good that you're going to want the kicker against them which could happen here but I think the Cowboys offense is really really going to struggle in this week one matchup and that is the reason the only reason I have Brandon Aubrey outside my top 10 when he gets back at home I'll probably put him in the top 10 so to round out the kickers Justin Tucker Harrison bucker Evan mcferson Kai farar Jake Elliott that's my top five young Hoku is six Jason Sanders seven Jake Moody eight Greg nine and Jake Bates 10 and Jake Bates should be picked up everywhere on your wire listen to me now if you play kickers heading into the defensive side here so I'm going to start and you're going to think I'm crazy here but this is my number one defense on the week I know they're a 19th ranked defense but it is the Cincinnati Bengals they get jacobe Bret at home the Patriots are going to be awful they're bad on everything in football defense offensive line secondary quarterback wide receivers it's going to be really rough for the Patriots to score points and I feel like the Bengals defense is absolutely going to Feast here in week one number two the mack McDonald Mack defense in Seattle out of the Ravens and now you're going to get Bo Nicks named as a starting quarterback for Denver and he's literally going to go at the 12th man and you guys are going to tell me that this is a good matchup for him no it is not I know Seattle's defense ranks about 19 to 20th th range right now but they're better than that I know that's a bad bad ranking in my opinion and you're going to have the crowd rocking you're going to have probably a massive lead for Seattle where the defense can just tee off and bonick is going to be in a nightmare situation here and if either of these two teams are on your wire and you like to play defensive weekly matchups like I do I don't like to draft a defense and waste that pick I like to play the waiver wire weekly these are two star studded defensive matchups right here you can get in week one number three the Super Dome New Orleans Saints defense ranks eighth they get the Carolina Panthers at home now the Carolina Panthers are going to be improved Dave Canales is an amazing head coach he has saved Doo Smith's career he saved Baker Mayfield's career the past two years now he's getting the head coach job he is going to make Bryce young look better they added a lot of weapons Jonathan Brook still out on the pup you're going to see chuba hover out there he's not bad either Deontay Johnson it's going to it's going to be an okay Panthers first game but I still like the Saints defense is going to eat this is a top 10 defense I do see it kind of as a grunge game though like it's not going to be a high scoring game it's going probably like 24 21 27 24 you 2017 around there but I think their defensive line is going to Feast on the Panthers o line which is very very bad it did get better from last year but it's still not great and the Saints defensive line is massive number four we're going to do them together four and five just like the kickers it's the Monday night bloodbath man you you you're going to think that both these teams are going to score so many points with all the weapons out on the field I mean this is a superstar Monday game you're going to get perie you're going to get CMC you're going to get kd auka sign Debo you're GNA get Aaron Rodgers Bree Hall Garrett Wilson Mike Williams and this is going to be one of those games that you think that's going to be super high scoring but both these defenses are so godamn good 49ers rank one Jets rank two so this is going to be a different game than you think think I really like these defenses even in a matchup against each other because it is the first game of the season and it's going to be a you know first game of the season you got a temper expectations a little bit here and I'm willing to start two defenses that are both playing good teams against each other because I think it's just going to be an absolute bloodbath game right here number six Bear Down Baby the Chicago Bears this defense was so hurt last week or last year at the beginning of the season if you watch the second half of the season when they they got healthy this defense got ridiculously good like Ron Smith is one of the best trades they could have made now they get the Tennessee Titans the Tennessee Titans offensive line is not good guys they drafted JC leam they only brought brought back one starter from last year the whole line has shift around and the Bears defense is going to absolutely Feast at home in Midtown it's going to be I I'm banking on a will L us breakout I like the opportunity because Derrick Henry is out of town and I think it's going be a different look Titans offense but I really really like the Bears defense week one and I think they're going to Feast against Tennessee number seven we're going to go with the Dallas Cowboys now most people would have the Dallas Cowboys as number one or at the top I don't have it this week you also got to realize that Treyon is coming back off a torl you now have their Superstar pick six guy that won this defense and won people weeks and matchups and championships last year bland is out 6 to eight weeks so you go at Cleveland Deshawn Watson is anything like he can be like I hope he can be as a sleeper quarterback this year and bounce back with a lot of weapons they have they have you know Amari Cooper Jerry Judy and joku chub still on pup they're going to use Ford and Foreman I still like the Cowboys as a top 10 but I don't have them as high as everyone else I think it's going to be a rougher week for them than you think and I think their offense is really going to struggle like they talked about with Brandon Aubrey as the kicker number eight the sleeper defense of the year that you can grab off the waiver wire right now is the Atlanta Falcons and like I said with young H coup they're going to get who do they get this week oh yeah they get Pittsburgh how did Russell Wilson look he looked bad and they didn't get Brandon auk you have Arthur Smith as the head coach you're probably going to see a rotation of Na and Warren George Pickin should eat but the Falcons have two amazing Corners they just got judon and Simmons in free agency this defense is going to be lights out and what did I say with young Hoku oh yeah they have the easiest schedule in the NFL this is one of the best defensive picks you can pick up right now off the waiver wire weekly matchups I'm fine with because their schedule is cake and I love this team as a top 10 defense and I see some people with them like ranked 20 25 this week and I think it's Bonkers number nine is going to be the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and I love defenses that get rookie quarterbacks in their first game I know the hype is on Jaden Daniels I love Jaden Daniels too don't get that Twisted in any single way but the Washington commanders on the road are going to go up against a bucks defense that was lights out last year got I'd say they got about a little better about the same and it's going to be a tough matchup their secondary is very good Terry mclen will probably be facing a couple double teams they don't have a lot more weapons outside of that besides Brian Robinson Austin echler you might see a little benon or Zack hers across the middle for a security blanket but I really really like any defense versus a rookie quarterback week one 100 100% number 10 the grunge game of the week the Minnesota Vikings are going at New York Giants now what did we see in the preseason with Danny dimes I'll wait we saw three interceptions in a preseason game guys and this defense is on the wire everywhere the Minnesota Vikings defense is actually ranked middle tier it is not a bad defense they do get Sam Darnell they have Justin Jeffers they got Addison they got you know Aaron Jones you know hackinson out the offense should still be putting up enough points against this Giants defense which is very bad that the defense of the Vikings should be able to tee off on the Giants and I think Danny dimes is in for a nightmare week and PE I mean let me rephrase it I think that if the Giants have any chance to win any game this season on their schedule because they have a very very tough schedule this may be the one game they can but I still love the Vikings defense I just think it's going to be really ugly and I've seen Danny dime play Danny dimes play enough football I'm willing to start any defense against the Giants all week this year that was it for episode 31 guys nice and quick defense kickers Top 10 rankings I don't see a lot of content creators doing it so I like to throw it out there for leagues that do have defenses and kickers I still play in a couple I still like the kicker defense I'm not fully out on not having it let's go all super Flex I'm fine with still having that League now if you guys have any comments questions
