Nicki Chapman reveals she can't talk about her brain tumour ordeal without crying and locks memories

have you ever wondered how people cope with life-altering medical diagnosis Nikki Chapman a 57-year-old presenter provides a powerful example of resilience and Grace in the face of a brain tumor diagnosis uh Nikki Chapman has revealed that she can't talk about her brain tumor ordeal without crying in a recent interview she shared that she organizes her health struggles in a mental storage box as a way to manage her [Applause] emotions uh back in 2019 Mickey received a diagnosis that wasn't cancerous but still quite challenging a brain tumor about the size of a small golf ball she bravely underwent a small surgical procedure to have part of it removed from her life I it brings tears to my eyes I stored my tumor away in a filing cabinet you often do this with various aspects of life it remains yet don't have to continually revisit it I refuse to let it control or Define me uh despite the challenges she faced Mickey remained optimistic and resilient she shared that her life has been extraordinary and that she didn't want to let go of it all even if it was her in she emphasized the importance of finding the positive aspects in every situation and seizing opportunities when they present themselves um in 2022 uh Nikki went public uh with the unexpected and and pleasant information that the growth she had referred to um as Bert had disappeared um about four months earlier she shared a story about uh her annual checkup with uh her beloved consultant who called her with the latest scan results uh and coincidentally um the escape to the country film crew had relocated from where she was standing initially uh Nikki uh cried quite intensely uh but she shook her head and repeated no no no when asked if they knew the reason um the consultant simply replied no these things are just happen reflecting on it brings a slight hint of tears to her eyes and yet they remain puzzled as to the cause uh making story is a powerful reminder of the importance of finding the positive aspects in every situation and seizing opportunities when they present themselves with this mindset she's learned to let go of negativity and focus on moving forward now we've always wanted to meth and uh with that said thanks for watching and uh until next time
