into this statue situation so apparently the Washington commanders have removed the controversial Memorial installation honoring Shawn Taylor at their Landover stadium and are working on a new plan which will include a new Statue to pay tribute to the late safety Even Adam Sher tweeted about it he said the commanders will be removing the previous sha Taylor installation and partnering with his daughter Jackie Taylor and the Taylor family on the new Statue so they will have a lot of input on it this time around thank goodness a positive step into continuing to honor their Legends appropriately I love it and are we talking about a real Statue this time like my first thought immediately was are we going to actually do like a real Statue like not the version that the previous regime did where like a human could just solo probably pick it up and run away with it no I'm talking about like the the ones that take multiple generations of a family to make like like back in the Greek days like a old Greek statue or something like that like like that takes ridiculously long amount of time to do you know what I'm saying I'm talking about something at least heavy you know what I'm saying so I'm assuming Josh Harrison them will get it right this time where and get it right where Dan Snyder couldn't I'm not assuming that it's going to be this Greek god statue or something like that but I'm assuming it won't just be like the little wire mess they did and shouts out to the commanders cuz they're doing is so right they have again Sean Taylor's daughter Jackie Taylor that's not only a part of the process but even with the announcement video that they put out that is 29 seconds long earlier today at 4:15 p.m. make sure you go check that out she's even announcing for actually carefully considering um we have decided as an organization to remove the Sha Taylor inst ation from Commander field we realized that the insallation fell short and honoring one of our franchise's most iconic players together with the Taylor family we are working on a plan which includes unveiling a statue that will rightfully celebrate the Legacy and impact that Shawn had on our organization fan base and Community the Washington commanders are committed to honoring our Legends in a first class manner yes sir now it sounds great I got to see what it actually ends up looking like but i' I have every reason to be very optimistic and get these guys benefit of the doubt because they've done so well every step of the way even just from something as small as that that turf field that's the one that's the closest to the facilities in the locker room that the players and coaches had to walk over to get to the other fields that turf field that Dan Snider refused to just dig up start over build a new one put a new one in a better one in a one that that's not a safety hazard in for like the past 20 plus months Josh Josh Harris is here for a year and gets it done I mean little things like that they already put put aside like a huge budget to not only their Stadium search for the next stadium that they want to do which will at at the very soon is probably be like 2030 so y'all might as well not even go hold y' breaths for that but at least in the meantime they've put together like this multi-million dollar budget to improve this current Stadium they want to make sure Josh Harrison company I mean I love how they're doing things and and just making sure that the Fan Experience with everything is as great as it can possibly be the way that they have you know stands for us to watch and go to the training camps and things like that and all of the activ they even have around the training camp stuff you to buy merch for kids to have fun all kinds of stuff they're really thinking about us with a lot of the decisions that they make as far as this team goes so why not give them the benefit of the doubt to assume that they will do the stadium the right way this time around I mean it's not even you can't even really say this time around for them because this is not them it's the same team but not the same people running it and then shouts out to Jackie Taylor his daughter again she said I'm excited to announce along with the Washington commanders plans to envil a new Statue to honor my dad I'm thankful for Josh Harris and the commander family for their continued commitment to keep my dad's Legacy alive I look forward to sharing plans in the future and learning more about my dad through this process I'm forever grateful for the outpouring of love and support from this special fan base I'm filled with gratitude to know that my dad will forever be a part of the bergundy and gold family yes sir and even just in in her honor man don't ever let Pat Mahomes brother whatever his name is step on the memorial I don't even know what that was to take that little selfie he was doing that that was probably the thing that made that was like the most annoying out of the whole thing to me like I don't know how we let Buddy step over the memorial that was crazy they even had like a thing around it to where it showed like do not step here and they still allowed it which was just insane to me but going off of Nicki javal's article from The Washington Post she pointed out the fact that the original installation a wire mannequin with a Washington helmet and uniform designed to look like with shant Taylor shant Taylor once wore was unveiled to sign to significant credit ISM in November of 2022 I can't believe it's been that long it does not feel like it's been that long but that's crazy member of Taylor's family including his daughter Jackie were in attendance and approved of the display others quickly noted its flaws which included the use of a Nike jersey Nike didn't become the NFL uniform provider until 2012 and the absences of Taylor's signature taping on the face mask I mean my whole thing was like if the family likes it they're cool with it cool but I do like the fact that this time around it sounds like they will not only like see the finished product and then be like yeah that's cool they'll actually be a part of the actual process leading up to the finished product so they're going to be a little bit more Hands-On than they were the previous time but it's not like they just had nothing to do with it like if they like it I love it I don't care what problems I have with it if they feel like it's a great tribute I feel like if anything as we could do as fans when they're you know happen to be people was just like man this is cool we're happy everybody should be happy type of thing and continuing with the article the commanders later altered the installation to address the issues but the Trib tribute still Drew criticism and the team's new ownership group led by Josh Harris took no and that was crazy I I know y'all remember that unveiling vividly and the fact that they did update it it was it was unveil bailed one time then they say they will fix some things and they unveiled it again and boy but even just the the the very first time they unveiled it I mean here you go right [Applause] here so just to rund down of the timeline November 2022 installation unveiled for the first time December 2022 installation changed to fix obvious errors which is just kind of like man y'all didn't even really try with the first time with some of the errors like the tape and things like that and then 2024 installation removed August 2024 I mean so it sounds like they've already done it or they're in the process of removing it and then shouts out to Chris Russ because he brings up a great point he said the worst part here as I said from the debut was that they could have put at least a long sleep seve shirt under the Jersey to cover up the rod arms and obviously figured out some way to do some higher socks or lower pants so that you just don't see that wiring right there man that is crazy and then shouts out to all galdi cuz I agree with it this as well he said Bravo to the Josh Harris group for removing the Shawn Taylor installation and now working with this family on a proper statue again are we actually talking a statue here or a mannequin like what are we actually doing that wire mannequin was an embarrassment Dan SN and Jason Wright whiffing on honoring sha not once but twice was inexcusable I mean they acted like they had their ears to the streets and apparently they didn't cuz boy that that wasn't good they fixed those errors in December some of them but upgrades to The Fan Experience the team will enveil a new premium suite called the tunnel Club I did a whole video breaking that down showing you what it looks like and everything that will give 150 season ticket holders access to an area where players travel to and from the field and locker room so you'll kind of be like in the in between and among other changes are the addition to the 1932 Club another premium space for season ticket holders more Terrace tables touchless security at all of the stadiums entry Gates a new sound system and lighting touchless food and beverage markets on the main Concourse resurfaced parking lots and updated furnishings and carpet on the club level sounds like literally the only thing they're missing is the the same prices that I get when I go to the Mercedes B Stadium to watch whatever games you know if I'm going to a game with the Falcons I'm automatically rooting for the team that is going against the Falcons I don't care who it is it could be anybody I'm rooting against the Falcons I'm wearing my bergundy and gold sha Taylor Jersey where is it at matter of fact I'm right here with it yeah I'm putting this jersey on going up to Mercedes Benz stadium and and then uh and then I'm rooting against the Falcons every single time no matter who they're playing but my point is every time that I go up there and I've been up there a bunch of times now more so for commanders versus Falcons game game but even when the commanders aren't playing I'm still pulling up cuz it's just a great Stadium but my main point is we so the only thing that really missing to me is the food prices I don't know if y'all have seen it but like what you can get for $20 at at at a Falcons game basically at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium can almost feed a family and that's just unusual in stadium so that's the only thing they're missing in my opinion hopefully they could do that I doubt they will but that would be nice and of course I would love some type of retractable roof to where if the weather's nice you open it up if the weather's terrible you keep it closed but that that's just not going to happen in this Stadium hopefully the next stadium has that and then I mean before we move on I just really want to point out the fact like I keep saying Josh Harris has done more in one year than Dan Snyder did in 20 plus and that's just ridiculous again I was born after we won any of those Super Bowls so my whole life has been Dan Snider I literally don't know any other way until like this last year or two of the Josh Harris vir really like last year in a couple of months that's it cuz he bought the team last July so it's really been a year and one month that's all I've known is Dan Snider up to this point and also this is one more thing that also if you really think about it gets us closer to completely ridding of everything that has anything to do with Dan Snider I mean of course you have the name and the jerseys and things like that I don't expect us to really change that maybe they would by the time we get the new stadium of 2030 but I'm not expecting to do anything like that anytime soon so do not hold your breath on that but at least this is one other thing that they can get rid of that kind of gets rid of the Dan Snider stench just a little bit man but before we move on to this whole Jan doson wide receiver situation we have was asked about Washington trading them of course he tried to keep it neutral and play and of course he had a football with him again so that I guess that's just his thing I remember him doing that for us he just takes footballs to press conferences I don't know but he said I won't take it personal until we play Washington which is interesting because he I mean it sounds like he kept it neutral like I won't take it personal but did you hear that until until we play so it sounds like when we do play them he is not going to be playing with us when we play them he is very serious about the situation I'm not even mad at him I would be too man if with him but that just gives me even more motivation for those Eagles games of course we don't play them until November 14th for the first time on Thursday night and then we play them again week 16 December 22nd just to let you know so that's when we play them we play at Philadelphia on that Thursday November 14th week 11 and then they play us in the DMV in Landover Maryland on in week 16 1 p.m. December 2 second so that'll be the first time he returns to the DMV after we traded him and I already know he's going to get a lot of booze man is covering them in those games now of course me personally I prefer to see Emanuel Forbes against them I just feel like that's a better rivalry like two commanders first round picks under Ron Rivera battling it out and they always been talking trash even in the miked up that they came out with the night before we traded him like him and Emanuel fors were like comparing drip and were talking trash that way like they have a really good Bond but they have a competitive Bond I feel like that would be the more entertaining matchup that would have more layers to it plus it will probably be a little bit more evenly matched where I feel like Mike sand still can pretty much get busy against them and not allow him to really do anything feel like him and Emanuel fors will have like a pretty decent battle that would be fun to watch again more so for the multiple layers to it for the former two first round picks under Ron Rivera still is an Adam Peters Dan Quinn pick you know it's not the same and then again even just their friendship and relationship just seeing how much Emanuel Forbes and Jan doson used to talk to each other and talk track I just feel like that would be a more entertaining matchup me personally but of course if you just want to shut him down just go and throw Mikey on them man that's how I feel about it and of course every time we we're going to talk ever had that I put out yesterday you would know that mikee s still is potentially competing to be one of our starting outside corners not just the slot outside which would automatically I'm assuming push Emanuel Forbes to the backup row because then that means Emanuel Forbes would have to start over both Michael Davis and Benjamin St juice and I'm not sure if this regime feels that way about them just yet we'll see though also just to update y'all especially with the Brandon iuk situation I mean he's going with the the 49ers to preseason games man even though he didn't play Still to me just me personally I I feel like he's staying or at the very least there's no imminent trade on the way anytime soon because if there was something going on behind the scenes between the commanders and the 49ers he probably wouldn't go he probably be like all right I'm on the way out why would I even really just be hanging around these guys and pulling up to the pre not even just practices but preseason games why would I be doing that you know what I'm saying so I just don't think it's really likely and honestly to me just in general I really just feel like we're either looking to pick up a receiver that gets cut on Tuesday with when teams trim their rosters down to 53 players or maybe we're just looking at a lower level caliber player or receiver that to trade for something that would cost less than what we got in return for trading away Jan doson I'm thinking we're looking for a caliber of receiver even less than that cuz if and it's a big if we actually plan on pursuing one of those Top Flight receivers it will be in the off season in my personal opinion I don't think it will be at any point this season during a trade before the regular season starts before the trade deadline or anything like that I believe the only way we end up with a guy like a Brenan auk or t Higgins or CID Lam or anything like that is if their respective teams don't sign them to long-term deals during this season and then both all of those guys at least one of them is like dead serious about hitting the open market and really testing it and trying to leave their current team but again that's 2025 2024 regular season wise what could help us this regular season within like the next week but when we're about to go in against Tampa Bay Buccaneers in like two weeks I just don't really see anything like that High Caliber receiver wise no I I do expect us to look for somebody that again I again like I said earlier like either gets cut or like a lower caliber a go to where we give up trade value that's even less valuable than what we got in return for Jan doson I I don't see us going after some bigname receiver just to let you know but 2025 wise things can get interesting man and speaking of looking ahead to 2025 let's go ahead and do that because it's actually supposed to be a big time wide receiver crop Man for free agency I'm assuming we more than likely draft one within the first three rounds because that seems to be the smart Trend to do right now rather than paying a receiver big time money just go ahead and draft one in the first second or third round and they're going to give you just as much production and value as that receiver that you're potentially paying 28 30 something million do per year but they're on a rookie contract versus that ridiculous money that you're paying that veteran of course the veteran is the automatic known commodity type of situation but hey man the the league is definitely going more so towards the trend of drafting a wide receiver within those first three rounds and making something Shake there and then worrying about paying them ridiculous money four or five years down the road but if we wanted to pursue a top-n commodity in the 2025 free agency when we get there if we end up wanting to do that just to let you know there's guys like Stefan Diggs T Higgins Keenan Allen Amari Cooper Chris Godwin you even have Brandon Cooks potentially I mean the way he's bounced around but he's always been consistent everywhere he's gone Deontay Johnson DeAndre Hopkins Mike Williams Robert Woods Maris Brown uh I don't I don't think we would want to necessarily pursue Darius Slayton but that's a guy Demarcus Robinson Noah Brown KJ Osborne Nelson aalor um cidd Lamb Of course cadarius Tony maybe if you want to even though I think he's I don't even think he's number restricted free agent is cadarius Tony wise but of course Brandon auk DJ CH with his height Odell Beckham I mean I think he's finessing the Miami Dolphins right now I think he went and got paid by them and now he's faking the injury so he doesn't have to play I don't know what he's going on so I'm not even counting him just off of that alone let alone his age as well but Tyler Boyd Z Jones Marquez Valdez gantley Elijah Moore I mean there's a lot of names out there potentially that we may want to pursue Rond Del Moore there's some guys out there and if we're looking at market value spot track feels like Brandon auk will get somewhere around $27.5 million per year you know I'm just trying to show you like in comparison to what everybody's making T Higgins is projected to get $19.7 million per year I think he's going to get well more than that I think it's going to be somewhere where Brandon IU gets I'm not going to lie they're saying CD lamb was looking to get $35.1 million per year I know the Cowboys ain't got that now I'm not saying that we will either but boy that Amari Cooper that's saying $22.1 million I don't think Amari Cooper gets more than C Higgins but we'll see and then you even have a guy like a humble little KJ Osborne that you may want to pursue they're saying maybe only $5.8 million per year we'll see where that goes so again those are just some of the top receivers that we may want to look at in the 2025 offseason but again sadly that does not help us this season so I know a lot of people don't necessarily care to hear about that but I was just curious I was looking all right like these Top Flight receivers if we want to get them like I said the chance that we probably have the best at getting them is through free agency not through trade Adam Peters is is very serious about his draft picks you see what he's done with them with all of the picks that we used this past draft it feels like almost every single one of them mattered especially within the first three rounds we potentially got our star and left tackle if he's healthy Luke mcaffrey hasn't developed as quickly as I hoped but I think he's going to be a good player and then in the second round you got Johnny Newton when he's healthy I think he's a pro bowl defensive tackle Mike sver still I think already his rookie season is going to be one of the best if not the best lock Corners in the NFL and then I been sent it I think is going to be a dog I mean he I think Adam Peters because it's it's different from the Ron Rivera regime where they didn't necessarily know what to do with draft picks so the same exact pick in the same exact spot same round and everything holds less value with Ron Rivera and those guys compared to Adam Peters because they actually pick good players here at least it seems like they do so I could understand why he's going to be very stingy with his draft picks so I think if anything if we do go and get one of those top receivers probably just wait till free agency to pay him money only and not have to pay the team that they're coming from draft picks on top of it as well but yeah man that's the end of
