hey everyone it's August 2024 and I'm back with the streaming TV news and updates that you need to know including some breaking news support the channel visit Michael saves deals.com let's get started we now know the price for venue Sports the upcoming live TV streaming service from ESPN Fox and Warner Brothers Discovery this is just breaking at recording time and I've got the details for you the service is going to start at 4 $2.99 a month 43 bucks there's going to be a free trial 7 days and if you sign up for the launch price you're going to be able to keep that price for a full year there will be no contract you can cancel at any time all right so let's think about this the launch price for venue Sports is a full $30 per month less than the most popular live TV streaming service and of course that's YouTube TV but YouTube TV has more content a whole lot more 100 channels in the base plan including full local coverage here's what you're going to get with venue Sports and feel free to pause the video if you need a closer look 14 linear TV networks and they include ESPN ABC Fox TNT and TBS you also get ESPN plus included with the service still though venue Sports it's not going to have NBC and it's not going to have CBS two networks that carry a whole lot of sports a couple work arounds for that the best one of course is an antenna but you can also sign up for peacock to get NBC and Paramount plus to get CBS I want to take a closer look at one line from the announcement it's the one where venue sport says people who get the entry price can keep it for 12 months and when I see that I worry that that $42.99 a month price really isn't going to last all that long I've been covering streaming services since 2016 and a lot of new services offer great deals when they launch and then soon after they gain a following the price goes up I hope I'm wrong in this case we'll have to wait and see venue Sports is still pending regulatory approval at the beginning of August now I assume they want to go live by the start of NFL season and that's coming up pretty soon the first week in September preseason already underway check out the early results from a poll I just put this up on my YouTube Community tab let me know if you are interested in venue sports or not if so I'll try it out when it launches and give you my full review the Disney Plus Hulu and Max bundle that I've been telling you all about well that one is available for purchase and here's the pricing $16.99 a month with ads $29.99 a month for ad free you can sign up from the websites of all three providers my quick take on this bundle I think it's best for people who regularly use all three services well that's obvious but also people who don't want to shop around for discounts the ones that I feature on Michael saav deals.com I know a lot of you are already getting these services at a deep discount because you take advantage of those limited time deals I'm thinking about the Hulu deal from Black Friday so in that case if you're someone who likes to shop around for deals the math for this new bundle it may not work out for you Netflix got rid of its cheap ad free plan for all subscribers even existing ones the plan was $1.99 a month and the services website is now updated with the news the basic plan discontinued there are now only three plans for customers to choose from one with ads and two that are adree us pricing between $6.99 and $22.99 a month I recently shared this deal with you some Verizon customers can buy a year of peacock pre premium and then get a year of Netflix premium free of charge news from the NBA the league signed new 11-year media rights deals with Disney NBC and Amazon left out of this mix TNT and now Warner Brothers Discovery is suing the NBA to keep Distributing the games these new deals are worth $76 billion over 11 years and they're going to go into effect with the 2025 2026 season season so next season nothing changes but I am afraid this could set up an Amazon Prime price hike sometime next year so while we're talking about Amazon what do you think about this Prime videos's new look it'll be rolling out over the next few weeks there's one thing that I noticed right away about the updated app see the Prime logo and the navigation bar well when you click on the dedicated tab you're going to be able to see shows movies live TV that is included with prime it's a simple way to filter out all the extra content that requires an additional subscription you can now stream in 4k with sling TV this is for sling blue or sling orange plus blue subscribers with compatible Roku or Fire TV devices I've been testing this out the last couple days during the Olympics and it looks really good so far there is no additional charge for 4K that's nice since only a limited amount of Sling TV's content is actually available in 4k sing's been offering a whole lot of deals lately including your first month for only 20 bucks there's a brand new discount for YouTube TV Verizon home internet customers can save 10 bucks a month for the first year so 120 bucks total this discount is in addition to some other streaming perks that I've been telling you about $10 a month for Netflix and Max $10 a month for the Disney bundle and $10 a month for YouTube premium also new people who sign up for Verizon home internets plus plan they can get NFL Sunday Ticket for free that's a huge signup perk worth more than 400 bucks everything I do here at Michael saves is powered by Verizon home internet use my link below and see if it's available where you live two more discounts that I haven't talked about before the first is new and it's from Max students get half off the plan with ads so that drops the price to $4.99 a month a viewer let me know about the second discount peacock is offering a military discount on its Premium plan with ads $2.99 a month for 12 months I wish more services offer deals like these let me know if you spot any new ones get ready for Hallmark plus the new streaming service is launching in September it's going to replace Hallmark movies now the price $7.99 a month $79.99 for a year Hallmark plus is going to offer adree viewing new programming as well as membership perks like a $5 monthly coupon to Hallmark retail stores quick reminder Paramount Plus's price hike starts this month for new and existing subscribers Paramount plus with Showtime will increase by a doll a month to $12.99 it all starts on August 20th for new customers a month later if you're an existing customer Paramount plus essential well it's going to increase by $2 a month to $7.99 but that's only for new customers and annual plans no change in pricing right now on Michael saves deals.com switch to my phone carrier visible by Verizon and lock in two years of savings starting at only $20 a month hey if you made it to the end of this video thank you for watching just want to remind you if you're looking for a streaming TV
