Post-Race Conversations: Layne Riggs Goes From Cars [Tour] To Trucks In Playoff Spoiler Win

what's up everybody Michael Massie here joined by Steve leew we're here at the Milwaukee Mile is it the last Craftsman Truck Series race at the Milwaukee Mile it just might be but that's not the point of this the point of this is that lane rigs scored his first career truck series win tonight joins his father Scott Riggs as a Truck Series winner non-playoff driver spoils the show what did you think about Lane's performance there at the end man it was a statement win I mean he just drove up and passed the guys who run up front every single week there was no it wasn't strategy it wasn't fuel mileage it was just raw speed and passing uh great win for him and you know he talked about post race questioning his own talent and getting humbled and getting humbled again and getting really humbled and uh so to come back here he never gave up and a heck of a way to get his first win and it completes a family weekend NASCAR you had Ryan Trux of course Brother Martin Ryan wins Infinity race Harrison Burton the son of Jeff Burton wins The Cup race now Lane as we said the son of Scott rigs what what does that say about NASCAR you think Steve what is this a good weekend for NASCAR to have such a great family weekend I think so and some people might disagree but as I keep getting older I I kind of like the family names coming back up uh us old guys remember when you know the dads were running and winning and now to see the sons do it it's it's a pretty cool tradition and congrats to all three of those guys Underdog weekend too Ryan TRX you know maybe not a huge Underdog but you could definitely say late Lane rigs is yeah absolutely the guy that finished second today Tai maesi he had a good shot he's always pretty good here this is his home track and during the driver intros you could hear that that was the loudest the crowd got is as far as what I'm could tell but he comes up short but him and him and EK is they they had that battle going on what did you what do you think about those two guys as they continue to progress through the playoffs get your popcorn ready I think it's going to be a great battle um or maesi LED early ekas took the lead uh back and forth I think they were separated by one point in what they earned today so it was very very close um and uh and they raced each other hard and mostly clean I would say but a lot of racing to go yet heyy but don't forget about Cory Heim he'll he's he didn't have a good day today but he will be there Steve agrees with me I know he does uh but lastly you know you had winners on a race date you got losers when it comes to the playoffs who would you say was The Biggest Loser today Steve has to be Raja kth he was the lowest finisher so that's obvious but he had to just a tough day he had to start from the rear got some front end damage um during I believe it was the second stage they were able to fix it and he battled back to 18th so the least points there and he told me after the race he was very glad that we won't be coming back to Milwaukee his word's not mine yeah what what does that tell you guys but yeah that that's all we got for this race a great action-packed weekend here at Milwaukee we had ARA you can watch your videos on the frontstretch Grassroots YouTube page and read the articles from the Arca race on front stretch.com you can also find the sidebars that Steve and I will be writing about majeski and rigs so look for all of that and all of our videos here for the truck series are right here on the main front stretch YouTube channel so that that's it for Milwaukee a great track I'll be sad if we don't come back here but for Steve historic a lot of history and a lot of big race fans in the state of Wisconsin me being one of them absolutely but for for Steve Le few I'm Michael join us next time we'll have all kinds of coverage from Darlington Raceway this is custom patch hat but what makes us custom well that actually begins with you we're just bringing your unique Vision to life no knockoffs no lookalikes Your Design is one of a kind we know hats we know design and we know quality the proof it's in our production hand stitched with precision and care with Brands you know and trust a one-of-a-kind patch deserves a one-of aind treatment all the way to your doorstep it's how we keep it custom Steven stump forfront trips.com here come back for more great racing videos and if you like us don't forget to hit that subscribe button
