perspective of what's happened in the last 365 days head coach was fired last year offensive coordinator we brought in Thomas Brown fired last year Josh Macau let go that was all what happy year ago we have a new offensive coordinator new head coach we feel like we're headed in the right direction right and then training camp rolls around we start seeing injuries Dane Jackson goes down right Jonathan Brooks won't be healthy till week four okay you know we have Deontay Johnson Mingo comes back and there's news that he's working with Steve Smiths you're like okay mingo's gonna improve this year so you got Mingo you got Deontay Johnson Adam Thelen so the offense there's potential right you look at the defense we went out in filad 3 four defense but still got no secondary help so it's like okay there's potential for this team first game we get Molly W by the Saints 47-10 47-1 and then Derrik Brown potentially out with a torn meniscus when I say potentially out I mean out for the season what's next right what is Carolina going to do from here who's on the death chart let's take a look real quick Dave did mention lebrian Ray stepping in for Derek Brown so let's take a look how nobody was winning only one sack and why because Derrick Brown forced derck Carter to step up into the pocket and EKU got him that was our only sack everybody had one-on-one matchups all day and that's all we did so maybe the optimistic part of me is thinking okay maybe they were just gas which is definitely a possibility but oneon-one matchups you're not winning any of them Derek Carr had
