event it's called incredible diving dog just so much fun to watch shelene breaks it down take it away shelene the diving dog competition is basically like the long jump into water the dock is 40 ft long the dogs get a running start and of course they have to be enticed to jump with a bumper a ball a disc whatever it may take to make that leap out into the Purina propl pool the distance is judged by the farthest part of the dog's body to enter the water and in the first two rounds each dog was jumping closer and closer to the 30 foot mark and it wasn't until Susie Evans and snap taking the stage and setting a huge jump at 33 feet and as we head into the final round snap in first with Bowser and Felicia Fuller in second with a jump of 29 1 in just a few inches from the top of the podium so Pam sheets and vixon now for their third round they're sitting in third place with a 27' 6 in Jump see if they can improve upon on that once again [Music] 33t is the distance to beat to get on top of the podium by Susie Evanson snap so getting way out there in the third round three-year-old female Labrador Retriever coming in with 28 ft 8 in they will remain in third and that'll be the best of their three vixon catches that bumper leading out into the water but they don't have to catch it they just have to make the jump all right third round for felici Fuller and Bowser three-year-old Whi it Laurel Banky will actually be holding Bowser you see right there and Bowser is related to Sounders who we saw on site earlier with Laurel Banky a lot of teamwork here the bumper gets tossed way out there and it's the best of three for them at 29 ft three in yeah greatness in this line of dogs of course Sounders are defending national champion but Bowser right here staying Focus all the way out into the pool straight with that nose in getting maximum inches for the distance Amanda Fleck and Groot have their work cut out their best so far after two is 25 ft 7 in the proant sport fed rescue dog ready to Rocket here in the third round from Glendale Arizona getting out their turning in the air a little bit shene you can talk about that but they still improve with 27 ft 10 in this is where you can see how much the throw matters Amanda puts it up high but Groot is totally focused on the bumper looking backwards and turning which takes away from distance out into the water leaving a little meat on the bone there we say shelene all right the four-year-old Labrador Retriever named rivet their best so far 25 ft 10 in oh another toss a little bit to the side shellene they improved by A Lot 29 F3 in the handlers have to get that bumper out there a little bit further don't you think the dogs are not jumping to jump they are jumping to get that this is prey drive Instinct at its best right here rivet totally going for that bumper and that's the direction they head so Susie Evans and snap now Leading The Way with 33t with one competitors to go with Tony Fleck and [Applause] [Music] Dean so can they pad their lead or can they stay in the lead this round who is their best thir 3 2 in so adding 2 in to their lead huge jump and a throw that went behind snap but snap just keeps the forward momentum even though he could have had more because his head was turned looking back at that bumper but a nice huge jump going to be the biggest so far today only one competitor left to see if they can beat that it's going to be tough for Troy Fleck and Dean the 5-year-old border collie looking to leap over thir 33 ft to earn a spot to the national championships okay it it it it and that will be short the nose not getting out near that 30t Mark it's the best so far for them at 27 ft 11 in but that bumper not leading Dean out into the water bumper goes short dogs looking back that takes away from the forward momentum so our winners here today 33t 2 in big jump that is absolutely huge and that belongs to snap and Susie Evans and the winners with an impressive performance are about jumping into this pool oh it's it's amazing he felt the energy of the crowd and the Sunshine and uh it was really good it was it was great now we see a lot of different breeds jumping border Whip It mix that might be the perfect mix border Whi it is the perfect mix for many many Dog Sports they have the speed of the Whi it the strength of the Whi it and the ability of a bordic Col and the
