It's a big moment for our very own Mark Guba finally getting presented with his Royals Hall of Famer Jacket. We were inducted into the Royals Hall of Fame 18 years ago. Blazer things kind of new. That was pretty cool. They were able to put those things together. It was a joke around when I saw Bo Jackson put in there this year with his blazer. I'm like that. Nice to get that when you retired. You were one of the top three pitchers in just about every pitching category in Royals history and a world champion in 1985. That was pretty cool moment. I really appreciated that one Royals fall tonight from beautiful Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City. And after a winning road trip, the Royals are home for six beginning with the los Angeles Angels. We are heading in in the final stretch less than a quarter of the season left and the Royals are only three games out of first place, one game behind the second place twins for the second wild card. And Seth Lugo who is hoping to bounce back after giving up a season high eight runs on Tuesday at Minnesota my money's on Lugo to bounce back. No question about it. He had an off night. It just happens in baseball. Let's see if you go. We go. Lugo can be the man first batter up for the Angels. Tonight will be Taylor Ward and accepts the 2 to 2 pitch. And this time fo by a pitch down and away, it was a breaking ball and down. He goes and a good start for Lugo and up comes Zack Netto, the Angel shortstop, jammed him and Young from behind the bag on target two down here is Nolan batting the number three spot as he tags one to left field, it's slicing toward the corner and that ball is fair off the wall, extra bases for Shana digging for second base with a double and the Angels have their first hit tonight. Batter now will be the young DH and that one is outside. So walk keeps the inning alive. Angels have a pair on 1st and 2nd and let's see what Rendon can do. Rendon hits a ground ball to the right side. Massey is there so one hit, one walk to left after half an inning. Carson Fr need to bounce back after that tough one last time. He has been really solid in the starting rotation for the Halos this season. He still throw his fastball two and four. Seamer. Great change up Lider and curveball Masse first up Michael Masse who had three hit yesterday. In Cincinnati begins the home stand with a base hit to right field. Bobby junior pitchers made and a chopper to third. They're going to go to second on a one hop. Rendon spiked Rendon did not mean to do that. Now, Vinny will take a walk and the Royals have two on one out for Salvi. He strikes out here on a good breaking ball from fuller and a big out there for the right hander went from slider to curveball to get a big strikeout. It's up to MNZ. Runners go and MJ takes ball four and they're loaded up, loads him up for the DH tonight , Freddie Fermin, he grounds this one to the right side as Drury goes to scoop it back to first and that's the inning as the Royals leave the bases loaded. That is outside for a leadoff walk homers third walk and the Royals have the leadoff man on for Bobby Witt J R swings and misses here though. And Carson Fulmer gets a strikeout of Bobby win. I strike out for Fuller with three balls, two strikes, spinning throw to first and mass back into the first base side foul and masse takes second and of those four throws, the fourth gets on by and he is in scoring position the past Pitino with the man on second. He swings and misses strike three, a big out for fuller back to back strikeouts, got him out last time. Salvador Perez but he's the one guy in the lineup that had a lot of success against the Angels in his career field. Here's Massey around third and Salvi drives in number 83 and the leadoff walk turns into a run. Salvador Perez delivers a 10 Royals lead. He got a sinker thigh high and put it right through the hole between third and short Royals lead. The Angels one, we're in the bottom of the fourth bases empty with one out. Here's the pitch. Frazier hits it on the ground through the right side of base, hit in the right field. The first baseman Shau do to his right, but it was out of his reach. And so adam Frazier has a one out single infield shifted to the left side against the young eight pitch coming. Don't give him anything in the middle. You were right. What's he thinking? It's gone, ryan Lasers, a two run shot into the Angels bullpen and the Royals extend their lead in the bottom of the fourth. It's three. It's Paul to Young's third home run as a member of the Royals. It is his first at Kauffman Stadium, Royals three Angels zero and we go to the fifth Logan drive out to right center by Logan OPI. That's pretty deep and it is off the wall out there in right field. O Hopi to second base with a double. He gave that one a pretty good ride. That's how deep it is. To the alleys here. That's definitely going in a two on with nobody out. Number eight hitter moniak who is a strike on his first time, he has struck out 51 down, joe Adele one ball, two strikes deals and the pitch is swung on and missed so hard stuff up has provided Lugo with strikeouts of moniak and now Adle 3 to 2 on ward and the runners will be going, the Angels had two on and nobody out to begin this inning and Lugo strikes out three in a row. What a beauty that spin re that's top notch two in the top of the seventh. Brings up brandon Drury who is 0 to 1 with a walk. Lugo has given up more walks tonight than hits. That's three with two down in the seventh inning. Feels like it could be Lugo's last inning and maybe last batter he struck out Mickey Moniak twice tonight. Rocks this one down the right field side. That's a base hit, moving toward the corner is on his way to third base. It's played off the in by Frazier and that keeps Drury at third. Moniak cracks a double and the Angels threaten with two outs. That's the swing you want consistently from Mickey Moniak. Stay on top of the baseball, hit it on the line. There's no way you can send him home here, especially how good a job that Frazier did get that baseball in so quickly playing it well off the corner, two outs runners on 2nd and 3rd. Adele's the tying run and he drives one to left center field over Melendez. He won't get there, it's over his head and bounces to the wall. The Angels get right back in it with back to back doubles. Two runs score off the bat of Adell and it's a one run game that baseball was crushed after Moni with 106.7. That was 113.3 off the bat, middle, middle and it was crushed by Joe Adell so a leadoff infield single and now a walk and now Salvador Perez and the table is set for Salvi to clear it and it's a fastball that's ripped up the left field line and down into the corner. Here's Vinny around third and the relay is late and Salvi just demolished that fastball. Look at how fired up he is an infield hit from Bobby Jr. A walk from past Quentin and Salvador Perez delivers another haymaker. This trio is relentless. Zack Nelo leads off against the new pitcher, Chris pitch on the mound for the Royals replacing set Lugo Netto drives one to left field on the first pitch melendez chases and that ball is gone. A home run. Zack Netto cracks one on the first pitch he sees from Bubic and the Angels get one back here in the eighth. He can crush that first pitch. 18th home run of the year and joe Adell is two away from that magical 20 to 20 to 20 season, john Schriver, whose last save was against the Angels back from the injured list, he ended up missing 18 games. So the batter now for the Angels is Mickey Moniak caught by Vinney Streiber gets the save in his return from the injured list. Paul to Young had a big two run home run. Salvi drove in three runs Royals win game one of the three game series.
