Saints Rundown: Official Depth Chart Breakdown Discussed and More

yo what's good it's your boy Derek brch sportsview 360.com C New Orleans Saints they I just want to go over a couple of items um concerning the team latest rundown latest um news it's a lot that has um transpired since um since I up uploaded my last video a lot has went down we're only a week away from um actual the W Saints football games that count games that U come toward the season game that are determine that can determine if the Saints go to playoffs uh or not they start next week when they take on the Carolina Panthers oh so the Saints just wrapped up training camp preseason is over and now it's time to get going um off team will have a new offense for the first time since the uh the conclusion of thean P era that occurred in the uh at the end of the 2021 season and recently they uh this past week they put out the official 53 man roster on the dep TR for this season they made all the cuts um some people are coming some players are coming back at being add to the practice squad While others will most likely join the other teams or wait for other opportunities to come about so the first first thing we're going to talk about is the the the um official 53 man roster breakdown just share my thoughts on it real quick first we're gonna start off with uh the quarterback position Derek call according to ESPN this this new All Saints 53 man um roster 53 man dead chart Derek Co qb1 Jake Hanner qb2 Spencer Ella is qb3 they got T M the four the fourth quarterback but we know how that's going to play out running backs Alvin Kamar running back one second string running back is Jamal Williams kendri Miller is on ir and Jordan Ms is the four string running back will most likely be the third uh once the season U pops off wide receivers we got Chris alive at the number one spot Rashid Shahed um a Perry they're the starters SRI Wilson is the um third guy um that the third wide receiver B men is the four Bo memes is the third the fourth Mason Tipton is the fifth he made def Dre man roster tight ends we got um Jawan Johnson T Hill at the number at the second spot fost Moro the third and D hooker at the fourth spot fullbacks we got Adam Prince that's it left tackle Tois fanga the rookie the rookie left guard um Lucas Patrick Center Eric McCoy guard Right Guard Cesar Riz right tackle Trevor pendon the the backup left guard is dck saler Eric McCoy has no backup center need to do a Caesar re but for um right tackle has Ali Udo came over from Minnesota and of course Ryan ran is out for the season on defense we got at left defensive F got Cam Jordan naate Shepard kayen Colin Saunders car Granderson Pete Warner Demario Davis Willie Gay Jr Caron Debo Jordan Howden teron Matthew marshan Latimore LTE Chay and the nickel in the slot the second string unit pyton Turner Brian R Christian Boyd Chase young Marco Jackson Anthony or Rico Peyton JT Greg will Harris Koolaid McKenry at that corner third unit third stringers Cameron Peterson John rid where he was new just came to the team over from uh Washington commanders Isaiah fosi jayen Ford rayon Wright for ring T Teno capio who's out right now with 2 ACL Ney s also while at the last year season in the injury that pretty much ended this season all right so I'm going just go over and discuss this real quick man I'm just get on I'm going really focus on focus in on this uh backup QB rooll that everybody's kind of up in arms about based on what the decision that Dennis Allen made and he named Jake Hanner the back of QB behind Derek car um over Spencer rer despite Spencer rer having a better better better performances than Jay haer or the offense just seem to quite seem to respond a lot better with rler on the center than compared to Jay Haner now the way I see it they made this decision by what they saw they get it was a combination of both they made a decision by what they saw in training camp in the practices and what they saw in the game and to them they felt as though um Hana did more they felt that still Hana did more than um Spencer rler and that's maybe because they don't want a rookie they don't want Derek they don't want um Derek C lose you know be G for the season and put their hands into a rookie QB I don't know they know kind of maybe that's their their um way of stashing rler to protect him from you know damage they could possibly get he could possibly feel if he stressing them into the to the starting role if you have to play this season you but they'll go to um Jay Haner you know they felt as though he's the right guy to take over if Derek Carr has to U Miss time with an injury but uh the thing is uh Haner didn't didn't really look good against um the the teams that they played against didn't have the this this wasn't against starters you know this wasn't against another team in the post was a team starters he didn't really look good you know Spencer R Spencer R's numbers could have looked a lot better if his wide receivers kept the ball held on to the football that's the that's the truth right there um not not and that that also goes for um Jay Hanner as well I felt this door the um the wide receiver um groups didn't do a good job of you know helping the quarterbacks out you know but U accter Denis Allen it's still a battle between um Hanner and uh Spencer for the backup QB rooll despite them naming um Haner the number two guy that is still not over so is that going to change throughout the season are they going to make another change throughout the season so they still to me they're still evaluate I think that will go on throughout the season during um practice practice time so we just got to see wait to see how that's going to play out man but they um Jake ha is number two guy Spencer R is number three Derek car is the starting quarterback um running back position kendri Miller is um the third string running back um most likely it's going to be Jordan Ms is going to um take over Jordan M will more likely take over that that third string running back spot Jamal Williams is um still the number two guy and Alvin kamur is number one now that was some talk I mean I've been seeing a lot of talk about the Saints you know possibly releasing kendri Miller to in and and most likely give that role to Jordan Ms going forward but I don't think that's happening man that ain't happening you know it' be foolish to let kendri Miller go this early in his career third round pick you know you walk away from him this early in his career going to his second year in the league you know just give just put him on they did the right thing put him on IR let him heal up and see and go from there you know because the the thing the thing I'll be really afraid about if kendri Miller to be released is that he goes to a team like the Dallas Cowboys or one of these other teams that got B better offensive lines than us and just tears it up you know Dallas doesn't have offensive line is not nowhere near as good as it once was but it's a better offensive line that with the Saints have right now you know so they did the right thing by letting uh putting kendri Miller on IR to let his injury heal up because to me it's foolish to not to to you know walk to par ways with this guy still early in his career and this could possibly hurt you down the road if he goes another team and tears it up you know and mind you this guy is a third round pick he's still on a rookie deal you're not paying him a whole lot of money it's not going to hurt you to um um keep this guy on the roster and let him recover from the injury you know so we'll see how it all play out Colin Sanders is on IR right now and that's why the uh move to acquire John Ridge where he came about I'm a little familiar with John rid what he doing this time with the um Arkansas Rises backs I felt as though that was a player that the Saints could possibly pursue in the um the last year's draft 2023 NFL draft but yeah went to the Washington commanders and I think that's a good pickup you know um good for death purposes while Colin son gets healed up but um I think it's going to be Christian Bo for right now that takes that spot that's um currently maned by signers but he's out with an injury right now wide receivers um I felt as though at per did enough to make the team a Perry um your four main guys is going to be Chris alive Rasheed Shahed at Perry and um Serio Wilson those are going to be your fourman guys right there and the backups you know the guys that could possibly s come out come in and take over if needed U Mason titon titon and bu memes you know um so no issue with that as well I think um Ser Wilson is going to do a lot better than what people think he's going to do with his offense as the number three option so look kind of looking forward to seeing what he does um playing for this football this football team and in regards to um the offense man they really they really did not show a lot in this uh the preseason games they really did not show a whole lot very vanilla very um conservative on the play call and a the best we saw all had offense and what we saw in the uh the San Francisco drun game where it was took him a couple of drives to get to the end zone but it was a touchdown it wased in a touchdown but I think we're gonna see a whole lot more man going forward man and that's something to think to look forward to that's something to think about now me personally I really though I really don't understand why you trying to keep things under W even though a lot everybody the entire league knows what what type of offense you're trying to run it's just up to those teams it's it's up to those teams that have the Personnel to stop what you're doing so don't really make no difference if you you kept things under wrap in the raps or not so we'll see how it all play out man but the 53 man rosson is U is out and now it's time to get ready for some um Saints forall in other news um it was reported that the Saints have hired former um GM Randy mu to U help out BEC an assistant with the uh the team and for many of you don't who already know who don't know M1 um on how he was fired on what happened caus him to get fired but um I think it's a good move a good pick up man because when was the GM the saints went to the playoffs they went to the playoffs they got their first playoff victory in team history and then like all out of know where mu gets fired and there's a whole L lot of theories on why he got fired and there's a story out there that he uh put out some some punch money to cover up a story about Jim Hasley Megan impregnating one of the Saints cheerleaders I don't know if that's true or not who knows but the official story that we got is that um it was about money it was about a contract contract uh situation where they were going to do a new deal for Miranda mu and Tom Tom Miss came out of nowhere and just told him he had to step down so it was just over with after right it was very was um pretty much cut and dry on how he got up out here but to me um if you ask me I think I think the saint need another set of eyeballs in the building a guy that actually knows football a guy that actually knows the ex knows of how to run an NFL team or how to you know from top to bot offensive line defensive defensive line quarterback while receiver they need those type of people in the building so it does not hurt to have for them to have extra set of iron balls on his team to help out because it with being honest um mcky Lumis is a numbers guy he's a numus crunch he has not done a really good job of bringing the surrounding the Saints with the best Personnel on offensive and defensive side of the football he had his hits here and there but for the most part it has been lackluster since Shawn Payton um part ways with the team back in 2021 but the Saints need another set it does here it does help to have another set of eyeballs to watch what you're doing when it comes to scout process um Personnel moves constructing the roster it does help so I don't have an issue with Team bringing back Randy mu to help out it doesn't so we just gotta wait and see how that's all going to play out and not be so quick to bring up what happened in the past to cause mu to leave his team because you really don't know what the truth is on why he really got about here you just going by what you heard on the internet in regards to him paying you know Jim has paying somebody some hush money to keep you know some some incident that occurred with Jim hassy and the alleged incident that occurred between Jim hassy and the cheerlead you really don't know what happened so it's best to just sit back and watch our things play out but I dude I am glad that random mu is Back in Black in the Saints building to help out so we'll see and um other news man I heard there was this rumor that somebody put out this tweet out blue that Alvin kamur um sold his house and it it just you know how when uh when players put when people put that out people just automatically assume that just because somebody put that type of information out that mean that they're looking for a trade and people are bringing that back to what um reverting back to what happened with Anthony Davis when he's with the Pelicans he purchased a home in uh Los Angeles in that area and people try to blow it off saying that everybody can everybody does that a lot of people can do that doesn't mean that they're trying to um you know put themselves in position to get traded to somewhere else but lo and behold Anthony Davis demand demanded a trade from the newans Pelicans and it happen at the end of the season U from what I heard is um this pretty much a non story so I wouldn't be too um bent out of shape about it you know if I think it may be the last year of Alvin Kamar being with this team um new the contract according to the reports they put a they gave the offered of Kamar contract is on the table right now for him to sign but he hasn't signed it so we just got to wait and see how it all play out man but um if this is the end valve of Kamar this is his last year with this team I that's a running back that I would like for the Saints to pursue in next year's draft if that's the case and that's boy States Ashton jenty who I've been tracking since I've been you know following since last season got familiar a a similar skill set to both Alva Kamar and Christian mcaffrey it's 5'9 um very thick 20 years old just 20 years old um I don't think I don't think he um last pass the second round of next year's draft he's that really he's that good he could possibly go in the first he's that type of player yesterday yesterday in that game boy State's game Bo State's season opener he close to 300 yards rushing six touchdowns dude can run just like Alan Kamar he doesn't have the for the work of a Kamar but he ain't he ain't too far from it you know go go to YouTube Google it Google his name Ashton jenty boys state boys State running back dude I think he's gonna be a really good player at the next level and it would be great if the Saints could pick him up in the second round because if you have Ash Ashton jenty you get Will Campbell in the first round offensive tackle out LSU you have Spencer rler t t fanga Ashton Genty Will Campbell Rashid Shahed Chris Al Jaan Johnson D hooker you have that's a pretty good new pretty good young nuclear to build around you know but um we just gota wait and see man that's just a lot of change between now and then me personally I think the Saints are going to are not going to be that bad to where they going to be able to get a top 10 pick I really don't I don't think it's gonna happen I don't think Denis Allen is gonna get fired Midway through the season like Colin coward predicted in his um video he made last week that got a lot of people up and arms as well but um I think this team is going to be better than what people um think it going to be M this not me being a homer I'm just being honest I'm just telling you how it is um I think they they have just guys like alv Kamura Derek Carr Demar Davis Cam Jordan F Maro marshan lore they have too much pride to let this thing go downhill like that I really don't I really do so I don't think it's going to be as bad as people put it out to be make it out to be I'm going to release my uh 2024 season preview in a few days from now and it's going to show you it's going to show that pre that preview is going to show you how I feel about this team and how the season could potentially play out you know but we just got to wait and see how it's all going to shape out man but um a lot of people not too big on the Saints this year man A lot of people are not and when people are not count people are counting you out like that that's when you rise and shine and if Alva kamur if guys like if this team if this team that has veterans like ala kamur Cam Jordan U Mar marshan lore chrisa la de Mario Davis P1 if you have those type of veteran players on this roster and you can develop any type of motivation from that then we then we got some problems problems you know what I'm saying you should be motivated by what people are saying about you you should be using that as fuel to show these people what you're about you should be you know what I'm saying but we just got to wait and see man um only a few weeks away from Saints football um you know I think they got to I think that game against Carolina is is very important it's very important for that team for the Saints to beat the Carolina pounds because if you lose to Carolina that's really gonna put people in the tail span that's really gonna put people that people gonna really be up in arms if you lose that first game because one of the things that Colin K mentioned he mentioned that Carolina is better than the Saints you know what I'm saying so that should motivate you man that should motivate the Saints to play better that should motivate them to want to go out there and prove these people wrong it should so there is that man um not a lot a whole not a whole lot to put out other than that um practice they don't return to practice until I believe Monday if I'm not mistaken to get ready for car the Carolina Panthers um other than that man uh outside of the the John R trade the U the dep chart being built up them H the team H bringing back uh Randy mu to the organization whole hasn't been a whole lot to uh put out but uh we're going to stay uh up to date on all the latest uh transactions and
