Chloe Molloy Is Officially Kicking Off The AFLW Season!

this is the Fitzy and whipper with Kate Richie podcast very excited about the weekend hey big one tonight as well the aflw kicks off and I'm so excited about this the swanes taking on Collingwood there's no better place to watch footy than North Sydney oval so moms dads if you've got nothing planned tonight make sure you get out there and support the swanes because they have an amazing side this year we actually poached this lady from Collingwood to come over and play for the swans Chloe Malloy welcome Hey morning he how you feeling how many seasons did you do with Collingwood uh six 49 games with them you know what I love about you coming up to Sydney and and it is it's a huge move for you Brody Grundy made the move up to Sydney is it true that Brody rang you and said Chloe what's it like moving to Sydney is it a good move before he made his decision yes BR and I created a bit of a friendship um at the pies and he called me and and like I guess it's really humbling um someone you know the caliber of Brody Grundy calling me just asking how's the how's the move did you love him I couldn't have spoken any more highly about Sydney and um yeah I wouldn't say I was the reason he came over but um yeah I love that he confided in me for an opinion yeah we'd be blaming you if you didn't come then I I wouldn't say anything no you wouldn't you'd be very quiet about that FaceTime very brave to FaceTime on a first call I would have thought as well it's it's almost aggressive that's gross for you you could have been in bed you could have been anywhere so the Improvement in the swanes was unbelievable last year CL but tonight against Collingwood for the rest of the year can you please give us an update on some of the young girls that are coming through and and who do we have to keep an eye out for I think honestly on a broader scale all the new ones coming through are just going to be absolute guns level another level whole another level I think the game and the way the style of plays changing is really exciting so well Tommy was at lart there was over 5,000 people there and then you went to the NRL the weekend after and was 4,000 so there's no lack of interest and I love the build like my niece won an award down at the footy Club the other day and her goal is to play AFL and I love that I love that now we're at the stage where a generation is coming through that from the word go that's been their dream and now it's a reality yeah and they can actually you know your niece said like I want to be an FW player and you can look and be like yeah you can you actually can it's an option I might have to come tonight because I I know this is a different game altogether but I I've watched the North Sydney bears in the NRL with my dad he was a we were NRL followers and I've watched it at that ground so even if you're just going for that like what an impressive place to be playing and kicking off the season amazing the North Sydney the vibe that it brings and the energy that it brings is just yeah on a whole another level yeah you're almost on the field pull on a jersey did you get Skipper Skipper again this year CL Captain wellow what's Happ how do you with your with your pregame motivational talks are you pretty good do you father the girls up am I pretty good yeah I'm all right I like to think I'm pretty I'm pretty relaxed um I think we build our nerves up and I just I guess I like to be the one that be like I think I said in the practice match I was like no one's died so we're all good we're okay so can I ask a favor this is quite a big one I don't know if you know Kate Richie she ran out for the very first time uh with the meni Hawks and played soccer she hadn't played a team sport before are you saying it like that we all did we all had we all had High Hopes And you know what she gave it her best and you can't ask anymore I'd love to see her have a run down at the swans could she come down to a training session and try another I have now leared my lesson to keep my mouth shut when we suggest things on air because they get a life of their own and I never thought I'd be taking to the F with yesterday I really want to get behind women's sport she could wear the backpad you know the ones where you take hangers up the back that put Specky bag Specky bag right here guys you're talking about me like I'm not here you laugh ha maybe I'm amazing it and um jokes on you well then maybe you are we can't wait to see it she is a superstar Chloe Malloy and you got to get your kids down there tonight because it is a great
