Rachel Lenzi on what UB's choice of CJ Ogbonna as starting quarterback

hi everyone Rachel linday from the Buffalo News the University of Buffalo football team announced that CJ agano will be the Bull's starting quarterback when they open the season Thursday against Lafayette at UB Stadium what it means is this is a chance for the Bulls to really create some much needed stability within the offense last season second half of last season Agana rotated with Cole Snider Agana was the running option to lead the ub's offense while Snider was the throwing option but created an identity crisis of sorts within the offense for lack of a better turn they said they could never really find their flow in the second half of the season and finished three and nine and plus if you have two quarterbacks you don't have one U's finally decided on one and this is a chance for agman to really put his rediscovered confidence to good use one of the things he said Thursday night was that new offensive coordinator and quarterback's coach Dave patod has really helped him recultivated his confidence to become a starter to become the guy and this will be his first start since 2021 when Agana was at Southeast Missouri State and this is also a chance for Agana to rise to the occasion as a leader of this team again he needed confidence he needed to create consistency for himself and he will get to do that right out of the gate for the Bulls so again CJ Agana is ub's starting quarterback for when they open the season August 29th 7 p.m. against Lafayette
