welcome everyone to Beaver Stadium nestled in buic State College and home of the Penn State nitty lions and one of the loudest most passionate crowd you'll find anywhere in college football we have a ranked versus unranked battle coming up here and you know how chaos can ensue if they start smelling an upset as we'll see a squad from the ma the Bowling Green Falcons taking on the seventh ranked team in the land the Penn State nitty Lions glad to have you with us for EA Sports college football I'm r Davis David poock and Jesse Palmer with me in the booth guys we are ready to tee it [Applause] up the Falcons will kick it off to get us underway he'll start the return inside his SP couldn't find a way to create that broken field as he stopped at the 25 so the Penn State NY Lions offense will have the first possession of the game and here's the man they want to get the ball to in this passing game this is the type of receiver David when he's covered he's still open I'm still he's still putting that hand up in the air coach I'm still open and more his quarterback knows that they're going to move him all over the field they're going to feature him on offense they're going to make sure he gets a lot of touches whether he's open or whether he's open cuz he's always open eight- yd pickup on first down leaves them with second and [Applause] short from the gun the running back tries to hit the hole slams ahead for a yard out to the 33 the big defensive tackles in the middle they're not always the best pass rushers but they are strong and I say Country Strong when they put their hands on you you feel it they lock people out on the line of scrimmage they create separation they wrap running backs up and usually they don't get out of the midst of those big boyss goes to the option they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one the defense really gets it they understand what's going on the quarterback is a threat to run the football I have to understand that it changes the way I play defense am I going to have more speed on the field whatever I do I got to make sure I do what they did right there focus in on the QB lock in and make sure he doesn't beat them fourth down and the punt team sends it the other way no return coming he'll call for the fair catch so the Bowling Green Falcons offense will take the field for the first time one match up to watch in this one is how well do the backers tackle in space David yeah and you've got to have great linebackers to get this guy on the ground and they've got it so it's going to be an interesting match up a lot of head-to-head battles linebacker versus rning yeah tackling him in space but also covering him out of the back fi these two dudes are going to be shadowing each other all game long this crowd trying to make life miserable for this offense gives it to the back on the draw B that space and picked up six out to the 33 effective draw plays in the running game really begin with the quarterback quarterback's got to be a great sail you got to really make the defense think it's pass you keep your eyes focused down field till the last possible second turnaround and hand it off and by that point the defensive ends have rushed way up field and there's less bodies for the running backs to have to maneuver around before finally moving forward and it's incomp complete on third down defense did a great job third and short on the opponent side of the field they're expecting quick throw everybody they dug their heel on the ground they're able to break on the ball Force the incompletion and the Falcons line up to punt it away first time we've seen their punt team this [Applause] afternoon he'll bring it back it's Saunders returns like that are why you don't settle for the fair Catch catch if you don't have to picks up just a little bit of yards to help out the O here's the hand off not a whole lot of room there three yards maybe second and seven and those physical runs take a toll it might not be a big game now but down the road third fourth quarter late in the ball games they tend to turn into bigger runs after the three- yd pickup they come to the line Second and seven the give to the back turns it on Midfield he's brought down but not before they pick up the big first down yeah I'm so impressed watching this guy run the football and I'll tell you I think Joe pno would have loved this guy in his offense too his teams always prided themselves on being able to run the football right be more physical than the opponent this guy has the ability to just wear defenses down so hard to stop off the play fake on first down to throw grabbed in the middle it's Saunders and he almost ran away from everybody on that one a huge pick up on that play well you're seeing the balance this offense has and how they can create explosive plays in a variety of ways we just saw one come in the Run game and now you see one coming in the passing game I'll tell you they've got this defense on their heels the N Lions will line it up on First and 10 on the move it's Singleton they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one so you get stuffed on first down and now you have the offensive coordinator thinking a little bit yeah we're probably going to have to throw it now in this second play but what are we going to see defensively now that they know we're throwing might they Blitz us do I have to leave more guys into block there's a real cat and mouse game going on right now between these two coaching STS might as well stick with him he's drop behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three how about the defender being a heat seeking missile he was on radar lock he found the football and flew down with some bad intentions they've got a ways to go on third down from the 24 as this defense tries to force him into a field goal try looking to throw and he needs a chunk play caught in the back field it's Fleming and he was able to get away from one tackle but plenty of help was on the way decent pickup on that play they allowed the completion but this defense was swarming to keep them away from that first down line yeah and you allow completions in those third down situations underneath the sticks and you come up and rally and everybody flies to the football that's great execution by this defense he got it and with that they break the seal on the scoring it's three nothing [Music] after that last field goal Drive they're set to kick it away and he hauls it in and everybody's on the edge of their seats and the coverage team able to wrestle him down Bowling Green has it back the Falcon offense will go to work last time David it was one two three kick the last drive that three and out sometimes that puts your defense in a bad spot and you got to get a drive together here so you don't wear the defense out I just think David too predictable that last Drive they got to do something here to get this defense on their heels [Applause] [Applause] listen to this crowd just shaking the girders of this place trying to help their defense hand off to the lone back and he's able to shed one tackle but still just a very short game all right well the offense here they're trying to get this run game established they obviously don't break off a long run there but they're just trying to find their footing at this point here comes the crowd trying to make it top on Third and long he'll try it again and he's not going to get there the defense Stands Tall and makes the [Applause] stop the Falcons will bring the punt team onto the field three and out and not much choice but to get rid of the ball so from his own End Zone the punt is away and the returner could find no daylight he goes down pen State sends the offense back onto the field they kicked a field goal on the last Drive Jesse they've got the lead don't make a dumb mistake but maintain your aggressive play calling yeah no doubt and I think it's the play caller right now just taking a look at that script he's got in front of him and finding out where are my Playmakers who can we take advantage of on this defense to get a touchdown here B yeah and just keep moving the ball down the field just execute a little bit better in the Red Zone there's no need to panic we're moving the football and we got the lead he wants to throw grabbed over the middle it's Saunders and that's why the Bullet Pass is so important sometimes these defenses they don't give you big Windows to throw into and you want to take that chance but you cannot lob that football down the field and get it in there nice use of the Bullet Pass my friend second and short now after that completion leaves it with the back fakes his man out they wrestle him to the ground but he's got plenty for a first down and a great job by the offensive line if you're going to run the ball right at the middle you better control the line of scrimmage you can see the center the guard the tackles doing a good job get their guys just enough where this running back can get into space and make the big game the NIT Alliance will snap it on First and 10 looking to pass inside the Red Zone and he's got it touchdown NY lions and it's so underrated the the relationship between a QB and a wide receiver the timing the ability to know where he's going to be and be accurate with the football that's what leads to nice touchdown well the chemistry between these two guys has to be great when you're throwing in because coverage is going to be tight the throw might not be perfect but this is something these two guys have been repping in practice over and over and over and it's paying dividends now on game day getting set for the point after and with the extra point they're now up by a touchdown and a field goal at 10 quick work on that scoring drive just four plays and they finish it by firing one in from the 13 for the score lining up to cover the kick after that touchdown drive from inside the 10 yd line he'll bring it back he was looking for some Running Room but not much to be found as he stopped at the 18 Bowling Green has it back and they'll send the offense onto the field the last time we saw this offense we had to look quick it was a three and out Jesse he just had no ribbon in that last drive so someone's going to have to step up and make a play David and get this thing going yeah let's find some juice find your guy find those plays that you know you can run inside out forward backwards get some first downs get some positive momentum didn't get much on first down it's second and nine going to run it it's Stewart finds a little bit of space gets three to the 22 Yeah and the running back didn't get much here but you know you clearly want to always establish the Tipo run the football be consistent make that defense physically meet the challenge de Rising as the crowd Gets behind this defense on third down dropping back it's basac quick strike complete tackle is made but not until he gets the first down well look that wasn't a touchdown but that was a massive play for this offense they needed some momentum they needed to find a rhythm in what better way than converting on third down awesome job by the quarterback getting to his prodction they'll snap this one from the 32 it's first down leaves it with the running back good pick up on the ground and they'll Mark him down at the 39 well it's plays like that that will help this offense stay in Rhythm all game can have that kind of success on first down running the football it just opens up your entire Playbook moving forward they can really be aggressive after that last play it's second and three he's looking to throw and it'll be incomplete this is some physical pass defense that last incomplete pass has him staring at a third and three they'll go to the air on Third and short quickly to the tight end coming through that third down conversion and they'll mark it at the 43 he knew the heat was coming he had to get rid of it in a hurry and he did so beautifully perfectly I don't need a big gain I don't need to hold on to this football because the longer I hold on to it with the blitz coming the worse things are going to happen I just need a few yards for the first down get out of my hand get the first [Applause] down ball is loose and the ball will bounce out of bounds on the fumble you know fumbles really just comes down to luck oblong shaped ball just can bounce any which way whatsoever the offense right there very lucky that one went out of bounds halfway there on first down it's second and five that's what you expect from a senior don't give them any extra yards great tackle there trying to put together a long time consuming drive this eighth play will be third and two they'll try to run for it now with a great opportunity as they pick up the first down they've got it at the 40 well at first you don't succeed try try again right it's been really hard for this offense in this game to run the football but they finally break off a big run there that could be the play they need to really generate momentum and get this run game going and the Falcons will have it first and 10 to the ground he's got it again and this one will be stopped for No Gain that's a really good stop by the defense Jesse they need a few more you've given up a bunch of yards on this drive and a bunch of plays but all that matters is keeping them off the scoreboard yeah it's that Ben don't break mentality you're seeing right now and this is the point where this defense has just got to lock in they got nothing on the last play it's second and 10 give to the running back they bring him down he's going to lose a yard on that one I love this linebacker because he's able to dissect what's happening in front of him and he reacts downhill uses his speed to get to the line of scrimmage and create the negative play they've methodically work the ball down the field 11th play of the drive coming up but this one third and long unloads to the wide out and the third down pass is incomplete the Falcons send out the punt [Applause] unit and the ball comes to rest right there well this is not what the doctor ordered in terms of starting field position from the gun running back on the move they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one you see all this movement in football now all the in the defensive line they're sliding right before the snap creating confusion for the offensive line then they're moving back and stunting really good job by the defense continue to move continue to stunt continue to get in the back field and make this life hard on this running out of the shotgun they go to the ground Powers ahead gets four he's down at the 10 and as an offense having success on a run play like that early in the game just opens up all the possibilities of your playbook moving forward play action running the ball throwing the ball screens anything is at your disposal at this point third down conversions are a huge stat and this one would be a doozy if they can pull it off he's got an open man he's brought down but there's a flag on the field let's see what the call is the officials throw the flag but the offense won't need it they'll decline that and keep the big play looking to throw it's alard he finds his man these guys are called matchup guys they're not the biggest guys on the field but they're going to win short and they're going to catch the ball and they're going to make yards after the catch you can tell those are the type of guys in college football that are starting to get maximized and used a lot more than they were in the past here comes the offense on second down power football with the Run still running at the 40 and this defense was flailing as he weaved his way and got down to the 26 those outside runs if they can get the edge like they do great job by the Right Guard right tackle getting the edge and now what does this do this makes cornerbacks come up and Tackle safeties come up and Tackle as opposed to linebackers and big defensive players you get your guy out in space where he can use his speed and his physicality against that usually cover and don't come up and make tackles might as well give it to him again they finally make the stop with the big run is plenty to move those sticks for the first down well right away after picking up a first down they go right back to their playmaker at running back and I love the push they got up front getting a hat on a hat opening a huge hole for the back man and you become so hard to defend when you can run the football successfully on first down you're starting like that now what opens up play action now you're making me play pass and run this offense if they can create that run physicality now it opens up everything else hey five to six yards a pop I don't know if you guys are really good at math but that usually equals a first down every couple carries so don't forget about the Run game keep them honest pound that rock second down coming up [Applause] both teams wanted to establish the run and they have done exactly that in the first quarter now the challenge here they've taken a punch but they can't let it get out of hand as we start the second on the ground it's Singleton so close to that end zone he could almost taste it but it'll be first and goal for this offense man down on the play as the officials take a break to let him be checked out the nitty Lions will try to punch it in on first and goal snap it to the back and he takes it in for the score touchdown pen State Precision blocking up front created the open Lane and the running back followed it beautifully yeah it's prettyy follow an offensive line that makes those holes and just gives you a caravan all the way to the end zone what an unbelievable job blocking up [Music] front ling up to add another and the extra point will tack another one on to this lead about to kick it off after punching it in for the [Applause] touchdown on the run from inside his zone five nice job by the kickoff team everybody stayed in their lanes and they'll stop him at the 16 Bowling Green has it back the Falcon offense will go to work trailing Now by 17 David this is an opportunity they need to answer and down by 17 it's not panic mode yet like I know we just gave up some points and our defense hasn't play great I think this offense can still be who they are and stay consistent no doubt lots of football to go but you do get the feeling this is the time of game where you know it could get bad if you don't score and all of a sudden they get the ball back they take it down the field and put some points up this thing might be over so absolutely this quarterback he wants to drive this offense down the field and at least put something on the and the defense makes the stop after a minimal gain well and on these little push passes timing is so important you're trying to snap it right as he's getting a full head of steam when he gets the ball he's hitting the outside and David it puts the defense in such a difficult spot you immediately have to be rotating when you see that motion so everybody's got to communicate and kind of bump over that's why offenses love to run it just it makes the defense communicate and see if you can just get him out of a spot you know you got to be careful when you're running the draw play because you're hoping those defensive ends get way up the field thinking it's pass it didn't happen that time and the defense was able to get a negative play and the Falcons will try to pin them back with the punt he's getting a lot of work fourth time he's punted tonight he'll bring it back it's Saunders that Nifty return sets up the offense and negates some of the yardage on the punt the NY Lions going back to work on offense now this has been exactly the way you draw things up David the offense has really been moving the football and it's been great execution they've done exactly what they wanted to do build the lead now Palmer is a different animal now you got to protect it you can tell they were paying attention in practice this week in the film room because they have gone out everybody right now on the same page and now on second down for this offense to the air it's alard lets it fly deep downfield and the incomplete pass taking a shot on second down and they'll be left with a third down well the quarterback knew where he wanted to go with the ball his intended target just wasn't open so the quarterback made sure he put that football in the stands now facing a third and long from the gun wants to pass got a in it's Saunders really nice job to convert that third down and they've got it at the 33 they just keep throwing him the ball this time on the slant no doubt and and you've seen it with the slant you've seen other routes every route he's running he's good he seems to be open so I'm going to continue to pick at this matchup every chance I get and the nitty lions with the first and 10 he's looking to throw it quarterback can't pull the trigger and down he goes at the 41 you want to change some of this bad luck you've had so far around get after the quarterback and get his butt on the ground nice job by the defense this game ain't over it's still the first half this is a good start that is the last thing you want on first down as an offensive sack now it's second down pulls and throws off the RPO they make the stop but not before he takes a chunk out of what they need to move the sticks but we see another catch by this guy this defense is going to need to do a better job of tackling the catch in coverage I know they want to slap the ball away but if you can't do it and force the incompletion you've got to at least make sure you're able to drag him down to the ground as soon as he catches the ball out of the shotgun on third down makes a connection and right in the middle of tight coverage and he still makes the grab at the 15 and I love that the QB understood I'm going to put some stank on this I'm going to throw it as hard as I can quickly right when he's breaking out of that curl nice job getting it to him quick so he could get a first down the nitty lions are on the Move wide receiver now comes in motion looks as if we have an injury on that last play and we'll take a break to check him out going to work in the Red Zone they can pick up the first down without getting it into the end zone back to pass it's all he makes a grab and to the end zone touchdown NY Lions defense has to be better on the back end they knew this offense was going to come out and they were going to challenge them they were going to try to push the ball vertically down the field they've now given up two touchdown passes in this game theyve got to shore up their play in the back [Music] half lining up to attack one more onto that lead the kick is is up and good and put one more on the lead that last Drive covered 52 yds on their way to the score and they finish it by firing one in from the 13 for the score lining up to cover the kick after that touchdown [Applause] drive here he comes from inside his own five and the Return Man reaches the end of the line and down he goes Bowling Green has it back and they'll send the off onto the field they face a pretty tall mountain here Jesse down 24 but if they're going to climb it this is a good time to start S ofcy has got to be big right here you just get the feeling at this point of the game David they've got to score on this drive obviously their defense needs to get stops but at this point offensively they've got to execute much better they they got to be super aggressive down 24 you're going to need three touchdowns three two-point conversions everything to kind of go your way so fast and throw in the football just a pick up of a out to the 15 yd line yeah a lot of times you want those big plays you want those Splash plays but sometimes you're going to take some losses you're not going to run the football overly well but if you continue to run it you can at least create some balance you at least have the threat of them otherwise you're just going to abandon it and now it's just going to be a passing game dropping back it's basac unloads it left and this is going to be incomplete on third that's why it's so important for this defense to win first second down you set up third and Longs like that you can show your exotic looks you can get the pass rush going everybody on the back end expecting throw that's how you force incompletions and Force fourth Downs the Falcons will line up to punt it away they've been busy out there to punt for the fifth time today on the return it's Saunders they make the Stop and that is exactly what you want out of your punt cover unit pen State sends the offense back on to the field they'll start this drive with a pass he's got his man he's brought down solid pickup but a little bit short of the first down my old coach said you'll never go broke taking a profit take what's there take the positive yards and never can play they'll line up for a second down play the running back has it runs through a tackle and he found plenty of Running Room on that one before the defense was finally able to get him down well the defense knew coming into this one it was going to be a physical game guys are going to have to be great at the point of attack and get off blocks and make tackles it couldn't stop the offense from picking up that first down on that run play just on the edge of the Red Zone first and 10 from the 21 grab behind the line it's Saunders he's run out of bounds but a big play on that one and it'll be a first down all right defense it ain't working right they're stringing together several first downs here we're going to need to change this up find something we can disrupt the quarterback and and mess up this offense a little bit the NY Lions will try to put one on the board on first and goal looking to move it through the air snagged in the middle it's Saunders they go up top to get it down to the 5 yd line as they try to pay off this drive they've done a really good job creating the matchups they want out of the slot yeah dude get that guy matched up on a linebacker that guy matched up on a safety keep him away from the corners by putting him in the slot get him the football let him make plays the run up the middle trying to power to the goal line he steps and powers and works his way they finally get him down at the two and with the stuff there Jesse on second down this third to midrange you got two downs what are you thinking here maybe getting your quarterback out on the perimeter and giving him a run pass option see if you can get the defense in a bind they'll try to blast their way in nowhere to run on that when he loses four on the Carry Fourth down here it's still early in the game I'm not chasing points take the field goal pay this drive off and they have analytical cards nowadays that says the exact situation what the score is do you go for it or not not look at the card make the decision and it looks as if they're going to try a field goal right on target the first time now he'll try another from 24 yds out splits the uprights right down the middle hold on just a second guys flag on the [Applause] play this could turn out to be a huge penalty thought they were going to have to settle for three and now the offense back on the field makes the grab in the end zone touchdown pen State really nice job by awareness too from that guy he's working the backline of the end zone it's so easy to step out of bounds there but he knew where it was and when he made the catch he made sure just to get one toe down to secure the TD [Music] they'll try to add another to their lead and with the extra point they pushed the lead out a little further so they mooved the ball 43 yds on that drive and they finish it up with a three yd scoring toss about to kick it off after punching it in for the touchdown and he'll bring it back I know he thinks he can house every return but sometimes you just have to take a knee as he stopped at the 14 he leaves it with his back a run up the middle is stuck for No Gain great job a contained by this defense and in order to do that the end man on the line of scrimmage defensively has got to be able to set the point and Force the football back into traffic and that's exactly what happened there got stuffed on first down it's second and 10 quarterback on the keeper nice solid form tackle from this sophomore well the QB decided to keep it on that one and listen if you had his athleticism you'd want to keep it too almost every time they run these types of option plays but he's just going to have to do a good job of understanding when to hand it off when to pitch it and try to keep this defense on their heels and read his keys he's got a lot of talent just got to make sure he's making the right decisions moving forward trying to get to him just had to get rid of that one to save the yardage on third down every defense in the country talks about getting offenses in predictable third and long situations where I can bring on more speedsters and I know the pass is coming so I can have more success and the Falcons will punt it away on fourth down and these guys have been busy sixth punt of the day a fair catch taken just inside the 40 yd line the NY Lions going back to work on offense now this offense has really been clicking in the game so far Jesse no doubt everything their play caller is dialing up these guys offensively have been able to go out and execute B yeah and it's just maintaining the lead keep doing what you've been doing you got a big lead let's just keep piling it on until they find an answer didn't get much on first down it's second and [Music] nine they'll run it from the gun tried to fight his way through that tackle but he's brought down and I can't tell you how much I love seeing Corners being willing to come up and tackle that is so huge for a defense you can't Olay blocks and create space you can't just hang out on the outside you got to go set that end and conversely I can't tell you how much I hate it when receivers don't want to block you got to do a better job on the perimeter it's not going to be enough in this offense just to catch passes you got to go execute your assignment that corner should have been blocked and they should have gotten a bigger gain on that outside R the big gain on offense and the play will stand the offense declines the penalty they'll ride the running back and leave it with him and they'll finally get him down after a terrific pickup first down physicality wins football games being able to run the football and create balance and and right here just chws up another first down gives you another chance to maybe continue to run the football and I feel like this guy too is just an explosive play waiting to happen his vision his quickness and he's got a burst if you give this guy just a crease he's going to hit it and right now he's doing some damage on this defense you know I think a big part of this isn't necessarily scoring a touchdown on that plate but you're just trying to get your offensive line in the rhythm of the game let those Big Fellas get lathered up got three on first down it's second and seven looking to pass it's Allard looking to the end zone and it's caught touchdown niy Lions really nice job by the quarterback there of just letting the play develop he had his eyes down the middle of the field and I think when he saw that deep middle area vacated he said to himself I've got a guy running right into that area I'm throwing this thing on time and this is going to be a touchdown that's exactly what happened finding up to tack one more onto that lead and with the extra point the lead is even bigger so that's SC Drive took only six plays and they closed the deal with a 16 yd throw for the [Music] touchdown they're just about ready to kick it [Applause] away the returner will field it and bring it back I know he thinks he can house every return but sometimes you just have to take a knee as he stopped at the 14 they'll try the Run coming out attacking from deep in their own end and they're out at the 26 with the first down I love when players understand situations and they understand where the first down marker is and they understand where I got to get to a lot of people you'll see run north south and try to bounce out wide and make big plays sometimes it's not about making big plays sometimes it's about getting that first down to make sure I get an extra set of downs instead of trying to make those big touchdown runs B collision and he stopped at the 27 after picking up one the Run game just has not been working for this offense all game long saw it on that last play as well just not getting enough push up front on the offensive line they haven't been physical enough didn't get much on first down it's second and nine looking to throw it's basac they're setting up the screen he will step out of bounds but not before the big pick up and a first down for this offense well they pick up the first down there on the screen I love the offensive line there allowing the pass rush to get way up the field they completely baited their guys made them think that they got beaten that they were going to get the sack and then they sneak the running back SC right in behind them and pick up the first running back searching for a hole I know the passing game sells and the passing game is exciting but it's not exciting to get five or six yards top on the ground but it will be very successful halfway there on first down it's second and five off the play fake throws to the wide out and the pass is incomplete Jarred Loose by the hit my job is to make sure that ball comes loose and I got to go through that guy use my shoulder pad drive my feet really really be physical cuz if he bobbles it at all or as soon as his hand gets to the ball you can tell the difference when that body jerks forward and that ball starts to come loose and pop out catch in the middle it's Johnson and they finally haul him down but not before the good catch and run man down on the play as the officials take a break to let him be checked out this first half of offense won't go on the Highlight Reel so far but starting to get things moving it's first intent out of the gun the inside hand off to the running back and he's able to shed one tackle and gets a pretty good pickup yeah this coaching staff they're getting this offensive line lathered up and into a rhythm now they're letting them drive off the ball on first down on these running plays and they're getting chunks of yardage got eight on first down now looking at second and two the offense showing motion from the tight end trying to get a read on the Deep they'll Run play action and he drops it just a little too slippery in the hands you don't see that very often you don't see the big tight ends with the soft Ms and the big huge hands and the nice sticky gloves you don't see them drop many of those balls that hit him right there in the hands that was a that was a missed Opportunity by the tight end right there it's third down now and they ought to be able to get off one more play before the two-minute warning Quick Pass to the left trying to get it to the marker they've got it just outside the Red Zone they'll move the chains it's at the 21 the Falcons come to the line with a fresh set of downs dropping back it's basac pocket starts to collapse not much of a chance there he just had to get rid of it to avoid the [Music] sack the incompletion brings up a second down he's looking to throw just too much heat that time and they knock him down at the 31 well the offense has made it known on this drive they're trying to throw the football and they're going to let this quarterback go to work the defense does a great job winning up front they get the sack to try to slow this momentum down they' methodically worked it down the field this the 11th play of the drive but the defense can get off the field now took a shot as he threw and this is going to be incomplete on third down looks as if we have an injury on that last play and we'll take a break to check him out they'll try to get something out of this drive and kick the field goal here on fourth down he'll need to strike this one cleanly from 48 yds out the field goal is no good I guess the idea was to chip away at a big lead consider the lead not chipped away hen State sends the offense back onto the field they've been the height of efficiency here in the first half David you've got to think they're going to try to click it right down the field here when you're looking at your playbook and it's worked so well in the first half I'm going to continue to do what I've been doing Palmer cuz it's been all gas PA that's right strike while the iron's hot too before this defense gets to go at halftime and potentially make some adjustments show you some different looks in the second half whatever you've been doing it's working keep it up the incomplete pass leaves him with second down back to throw it's Allard and he dropped it it looked for all the world like that would be a catch and he just got too excited well the receiver getting a little ahead of himself on that one you saw him calling for the ball he thought he was wide open he thought that was going to be an easy catch the ball finally gets to him and he drops it if you're going to call for the ball like that and call your shot you've got to secure the catch on Third and long try to convert through the air and the defense is all over the quarterback and down he goes well obviously at this point in the first half the defense is finding themselves in a hole you just get the feeling if they're going to get back in this they're going to need more plays like that they're going to need sacks they're going to need turnovers they're going to have to create negative plays to get themselves some momentum the nitty Lions will call on their punt team doesn't say much for your drive when you're looking forward to the punt fair catch called for and made Bowling Green has it back the Falcon offense will go to work these guys have taken some body blows in the first half but now a chance to do something to feel a little better going into halftime Reese they got to respond now they they they got to put points on the board right here cut into this deficit create a little bit of momentum because this one's going to get out of hand otherwise yeah there are a lot of offenses out there that might just say okay let's just regroup and figure it out this offense doesn't have time to do that they've got to be aggressive they've got to throw it down field they've got to score points there's a timeout called as this offense tries to find a way to draw a little closer now on second down he's looking to throw incomplete and he threw that one up for gron into traffic fortunate to get it back and that's why these guys play defense if that were an offensive player or receiver that would have easily have been a catch come on man you got to catch that make that a pck we'll see if they go back to the air after the incompletion it's third and five looking downfield it's basac almost had the completion just missed and in third and short it's a great place to be for an offense you got the whole playb available and they choose the pass and the defense did a really good job playing the pass and fourth down now it's decision time for you and the Falcons decide to pun it away and The Return Man will have no chance as the ball sails out of bounds running out of time here in the first half they're going to have to be efficient to put some points on the board before the break at the 35 he's loose and how much Running Room have they' been able to find just all day they are piling up unbelievable rushing stats and obviously this offense has had their way getting the huge lead and now when you know it's a running situation later in the ball games you're still getting pounded this defense has to step up at some point and be a lot more physical D coordinators down the road that have to play this offense man they're going to have nightmares because this unit has so much speed and so much skill that running back receiver tight end a quarterback making good decisions it is so tough trying to stop them and prevent explosive plays we've played two quarters here time to go to Kevin Connors in our halftime update guys one of the best atmospheres in football and we've got a fun one from Happy Valley talk about a first half from that dude out of the back field he's been a total Game Changer and how many top plays moments have we seen on Miss tackles Alone video game moves from one of the shiftiest players in all of college football with that said let's send it back to the guys in State College PA just about set for the second half kickoff looking for an alley from inside his own 10 nice job executing all of the assignments as they put a stop to that return at the 22 Bowling Green has it back and they'll send the offense onto the field good job to toss that ball out of bounds and avoid the loss [Music] after the misfire it's second and 10 got it behind the line it's Tillman he make the stop after the catch and still some work to do to pick up that first down this quarterback right now is in Groove and he's doing a nice job prap he's reading the coverage and he's getting an idea of where he wants to go with the football that's why the ball's coming out of his hands so quickly that's why he seems like he's in a great Rhythm right now ball spotted at the 29 here they come on Third and short the Falcons are stopped but not before getting it past the sticks and I just love when guys know exactly where the sticks are you could tell ran with purpose finished through the sticks and got just enough for the first down and a nice job up front too right good communication everybody knew where they had to go hat on a hat work the double teams and get some push they'll ride the hot hand and you can forget running in the middle against this defense man nowhere to run on that play at all about all you can say is do better but that's the problem are they able to do better and that's why you keep trying things right keep trying to get on the perimeter running up the middle try different things see what you do well he'll try to pop the draw he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple that linebacker saw the express lane right to the ball carrier and a great job by the defensive line getting some push making them use their resources on him linebacker comes free making the back field for a tackle for AOSS it'll take some work to get to the sticks it's third and long from the 30 fires to the wide out nice defensive play to get a hand in there and knock it away it's so nice when you know it's third and long you know a pass is coming you worked on it all week get your feet set at the sticks understand that quarterback's got to be rushed get him off of his spot nice execution by this defense and the Falcons will send out the punt unit he'll try to really get into this one running it back it's Saunders the solid return there offsets some of the punt yardage and really sets up this offense nicely the NY Lions going back to work on offense now the give to the back he makes the stop at the 43 yd line it's a pick up of 15 and they've got it in plus territory and listen if it ain't broke don't fix it I I mean I love teams that commit to the run and when it's successful keep running the rock yeah David I I think this offensive line right now they've got a lather going they're really sort of getting in the groove and flow of this game they're just getting tremendous push at the point of attack it seems like every sing Hit the afterburners kid they bring him down but he's got a first and goal from the 10 it's amazing in college football the tight end position and how much has changed back in the day you're a blocking guy maybe you catch a flat route today these guys have athleticism and you just saw it from that dude after the catch on that last one the nitty Lions have it in scoring position on first and goal motion from the offense to throw it's Aller he CAU it they'll Mark him down at the two the excellent execution on that throw and catch I love offenses and quarterbacks that are willing to take the easy stuff take those easy throws that are guaranteed to get positive yards yeah I'm take big shots down the field too but don't forget it's easier to pick up second and five third and five than it is when we start getting those long yarded situations he'll do it himself he is going nowhere stopped at the line of scrimmage the offense thought they had a good look to run that play into with the QB but there's just an example of a Defender winning his one-on-one battle and making a tremendous play great effort by that guy the defense stiffened on the last play now it's third and goal again from the two he's dropped behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three and now on fourth down they'll try a field goal and he's made one already and this one ought to be cake from 21 yds out Absolut Ely perfect well that's just piling on not the penalty kind just the mean kind they keep pushing ing that lead out and the kickoff team's getting some work on the move from inside is five really disciplined job by the coverage unit to get down there and make the stop at the 19 Bowling Green has it back the Falcon offense will go to work they'll come out on this drive and let it rip got it in the middle it's Garcia they make the stop right there good pickup it's still short of the first down I love play manto Man defense and I love getting up in your kitchen and jamming you at the line of scrimmage but it's really hard when they start running these Crossing routes and drags and ends because now I'm in Chase mode and the QB has a little bit of space A lot of times and those fast guys can create some separation and get a first down like they did there he makes the tackle at the 33 after a pick up of five you know you start day one of training camp running your base runs you need a few yards you run these plays you need to first down you run these plays you rep them over and over and over again they're not sexy they're not pretty but in the end they're effective and they get you that new set of downs when you need them they're going to go right back to him on first down and the defense doing a great job committing to the run when you commit to the run like this obviously you can give up some plays in the passing game but you got to stop the run first after picking up a couple at second and eight fast motion from the offense One Step WRA two-step squeeze this junior knows how to get him on the ground now on third third down after that run looking to throw it's basac he can't make the catch had it right in his hands and it'll be fourth down the Falcons will punt this one away [Applause] and he's going to get it up to about the 29 yd line before he's brought down pen State sends the offense back onto the field had to settle for the Chip Shot field goal last time Jesse they'd love for this one to pay off bigger yeah it just comes down to execution too did a nice job out in the field stalled a little bit once they got down to the goal line so they just need to be a little bit more crisp here D yeah and listen I think the first part was the most important part you got to put the drive together first to get down there now when we get down there focus on execution and getting six points here comes the offense on First and 10 from the 47 takes a hand off it's Allen they'll pick up four second and Six coming and it's just simple simple first down run showing your physicality setting your offense up in a good spot solid pick up of four on first down it's second and Six Wide out in motion the hand to the running back showed off just about every move in the book except the forward move stopped for a short gain how bold will they be on third down after that last run it's a draw tough hard noosed running he got three but he needed four it's fourth down and one and the nitty Lions line up to punt it away and they can't get on top of it to down it so that ball will come out to the 20 Bowling Green has it back and they'll send the offense onto the field their Drive chart is starting to look a little monotonous punt punt punt David and their defense is starting to get a little frustrated too they just keep putting me back on the field possession after possession Jesse this offense needs to get their heads out of do you know what the punter's on the sideline with the oxygen mask right now he's been playing so much he's not used to this this offense they just got to stay on the field they've got to put a drive together and get some balance going running and throwing the ball setting up the screen not a whole lot of room there on that screen pass as it just never developed well this offense will screen you in a variety of ways they'll throw receiver screens tight end screens the running back screen also a big part of what they like to do like you just saw there facing a third down and short from the 26 wants to throw it's basac looking to the big tight end it's caught downfield and they'll finally catch up to him but not before a big chunk of yardage is picked up big fella showing some ability got away from one tackle defense lucky they had a few more there to help yeah he's not a big stiff he's not a blocking tight end this guy can do some work out in the open field as well and he showed you his athleticism and the Falcons will snap it on First and 10 they'll leave it with him really nice patient job to find some Running Room by this junior first down you know you always want to establish the running game how about this offense nothing fancy run the football be physical get a big game the Falcons have their offense in high gear going up top on first down caught over the middle it's Johnson yeah great job creating space that's what you're supposed to do when you get man covered you got to find a way to get a step make it ease for your quarterback to read that leverage and when he drags across the field he can see had him he completes it for the first down that completion leaves us with second and medium it's a draw and he's still running after the move really nice run there good solid pickup and they'll move the sticks with the first down I tell you what they're down but they're not out with this guy they keep feeding him he keeps having success on the ground maybe I use this now to catapult use some play action make some bigger plays down the field but the Run game has not been the problem today this offense hasn't found the end zone yet starting to move it's first and 10 finds his big tight end they make the stop trying to pick up just a little bit at a time to get to that first down marker I'll say this man in college football you see a lot of bad tackling you didn't see it right there that was an awesome job first off being there at the point of attack once the tight end made the catch there was no doubt he was going down great job form tackle back to throw it's basac looking for the score touchdown Falcons and they'll put that score Bo operator to work and put six on the board they'll try to tack one more on their score and it's perfect they put together an 81 yd drive and the Capper a 19 yd toss for the touchdown the kickoff team out there set to boot it away he'll bring it back from inside is five didn't find any crease in that kickoff coverage and he'll be stopped at the 17 the NY Lions going back to work on offense now they missed an opportunity to extend this lead the last time they had it Jesse yeah they got to be able to regain that momentum right go back to what was working earlier on in this one and David to me that starts with being the more physical team no I definitely agree being the more physical team but understanding the situ of the game you're still winning you got the football back now put a nice drive together and execute line getting set on second down one man in the back field and he gets it they'll knock him down after a pick up of one to the 18 they're strong and they're strong defensive tackles they're strong there's such big jokers in the Middle where they just lock out those offensive linemen and running backs listen they don't have much of a chance you got that 300 plus pound guy grabbing you around the shoulder pad you tend to go to the ground pretty quickly quickly complete good tackle there to stop him short of the first down and now they have to make a call listen I know this running back is Shifty I know he's really good in the open field but that's just asking too much of him at this point third and long situation he wasn't going to be able to make that extra guy Miss uh trying to get that first down the nitty Lions will bring the punt team onto the field fourth time tonight we've seen this guy come on to punt bringing it back it's Patterson this guy is a daring punt return man he's not going to settle for the fair catch a solid return gets a little bit of ground for the offense they'll go to the ground they'll wrestleing down just short of the first down I don't even think they're going to bring out the change to measure this one man when I can run the football like that on first down and creates second and inches and stay way ahead of the sticks and and be in a position now where I can throw the football or run I will have a lot of success on the offensive side of the football wide receiver shows motion looking down field it's basac zings it complete to the right and they wrap him up but not before he gets enough on the catch for the first down nice job by the running back catching the football and understanding where the first down marker was I got to go get get that first down did a nice job of it just inside the 30th the 29 it's first and 10 used the play fake now to throw they're working that left side and he goes out of bounds after a nice pick up on that one and that's why QBs love their tight ends so much right especially when they're athletic because they make short throws turn into long games because of his ability after the catch it's so unique and special he is dominant in this offense and the Falcons are threatening in the Red Zone moving the running back forcing the defense to adjust unloads to the wide out he makes a catch and they will score touchdown BG these two have spent plenty of time together that was almost telepathic David doubt and quarterbacks and wide receivers throw all off season to get on the same page you can see he hits him in stride that's why he gets the touchdown on to attempt the try hit that one with some aggression for the point after quick work on that scoring drive just four plays and they Clos the deal with a 20yd pass for Six almost ready to kick it away after scoring the touchdown and he takes this from inside the five he was hoping for something a little more Dynamic but they get on the ground at the 20 hen State sends the offense back onto the field they'll run it crosses the 30 he got away that's the kind of play that can really get you going as they get it out to the 36 and David how demoralizing does it have to be for a defense when you know they're going to run it everyone in the stadium knows they're going to run it and still you cannot stop it there's nothing more demoralizing as a defensive lineman because it just it takes off it gets in your head you you know that guy's going to come off and smack you and you got to do something about it I think the defense may be time to start committing more guys to stopping that run not worrying about the pass as much no doubt offense wants to keep running the football to win this game but I'm wondering if they're starting to go to the well too often they got to start showing some new wrinkles here in the second half lost one on that last one it's second and 11 the give to the tail back good pick up on the ground and they'll Mark him down at the 39 a third and long coming up here to the air it's Allard just threw that one away to avoid disaster the NY Lions send out the punt unit they may have to pay him overtime he's punting for the fifth time today yet another punt on the way got to make sure that hamstring stays loose he's been busy this should be the last play of the quarter they go to the ground and he was able to pick up a few yards on the ground and the clock has run out here in the third and talk about spreading the ball around everyone getting a chance to show off the hands based on the number of targets we've seen one more period to go and we'll see just how much fight they've got left in them didn't get much on first down it's second and nine he's looking to throw missed his receiver there it's incomplete the offense came into this game knowing that for them to win they were going to have to make some big plays throwing the football that just has not been the case here in the fourth quarter they've been held to less than 200 passing yards and that's really the story of the game guys they couldn't connect on second down now staring at a third and nine from the gun wants to pass finds his big tight end and the catch was one thing and the Run even better a big pick up on that one you know you just can't coach toughness in quarterbacks this guy's been sacked multiple times in this one and on that last play he gets drilled again but he delivers a strike I'll tell you what this this guy's going to be in an ice bath after the game the Falcons have it with a first and 10 he's going to pass right down the middle and he dropped it oh what a missed opportunity nobody around just had too much time to think about it you know it's one thing to take shots early in a game when the defense may not be expecting it but at this point fourth quarter you're trailing by a lot they know you're going to do it and the defense was expecting that one great job in the back end to the air it's basac right on target this time he's brought down quickly minimal gain there still a bit short of the first down you just get the feeling this defense is going to make it hard on them right they've got the lead it's late and they're going to try to tackle everybody in bounds offense is going to have to really work for this and be smart you got to attack the sidelines you got to throw first down you got to keep this thing moving vertically down the field back to the air one more time oh he dropped the football he had it right in the middle of the field and just ran before he finished the catch it'll be fourth down at this point of the game in the quarter it is going to be tough for this offense to get some completions here because now trailing by this much the defense is expecting pass and they're putting a whole bunch of extra DBS on the field to help them out in coverage on fourth down they'll try to throw it they got him it's a sack and what a stop for this defense to turn it over on Downs that play never had a chance on fourth down they're trying to catch the defense off guard thrown for it but no protect quarterback didn't have an opportunity to step up and get rid of that football give the defense credit man tremendous aggression there on F the offense starts with a short [Applause] field a little pre- snap eye candy for the defense can't hang on across the middle on first down and maybe he was worried about the shot he was going to take I'm a little bit surprised they're still throwing the football here this late game with this kind of lead they're on first down taking a shot Falls incomplete but obviously they're still seeing matchups that they want to take advantage of in the back end of this defense so they're letting it Fly trying play action just a short pass to the tight end and just a short safe pass play they pick up a few got like that big reliable security blank and that's what tight ends are a lot of the times they're just usually big huge guys that if I throw it anywhere near him he's going to pluck it catch it and give me some positive yards they're close enough for a makeable field goal from the 26 but they'd love to convert this third and long some misdirection with the counter he gets it oh so close to the first down marker but I think he's going to be a touch short the offense stays on the field they just have inches to go on fourth down try to get it on the ground tackled after picking up the first down fourth and inches just trusting your offensive line they're able to get just enough movement at the point of attack to keep this drive going now inside the the 20 first and 10 from the 18 they'll run it out of the shotgun and they try the middle of this Stout defense and they rise to the challenge great job by the defense everybody firing off the ball hitting their guys holding their gaps running to the football nowhere to go they got nothing on the last play it's second and 10 after the run run run now to throw makes the catch they'll get him stop just short of the end zone but they're in business here with a first down well I love play callers that want to stay aggressive regardless of what the score is regardless how much time is left on the clock and I promise you this there are a lot of fans there are a lot of teams all across college football that are paying attention to what is happening right now the nitty Lions trying to cash it in on first and goal they'll run the option touch down pen State and the punishment has been extended points points and more points this offense has had their way they just keep their foot on the gas keep putting up points keep putting up touchdowns and you know what this is one of those stats days you look back and you're like that guy had 12 touchdowns on the year Well four or five of them might have been in this game [Music] lining up for the Pat and the extra point just tacks a little bit more onto this huge lead so the final tally on that drive will be 31 yds and finish to deal with the short touchdown run from the two the kickoff unit about to go to work [Applause] he'll start the return inside his five just never had a chance to shake loose and he'll be brought down at the 24 Bowling Green has it back the Falcon offense will go to work he Wast no time and comes out throwing find space on the right finally run out of bounds but he has this offense rolling with a first down you know the defense they just haven't been able to find an answer for this guy throughout the course of the game obviously he's got two touchdowns picks up the first down there they've tried doubling him they've tried man coverage Zone coverage nothing working on defense they can't stop him he'll come out throwing on first down didn't have much of a choice there but to get rid of it it's a nice adjustment by the defense here with a big lead in the game you're putting extra DBS on the field knowing the offense has to throw to get back in this one in the fourth quarter so your best cover guys on the field and they force an incompletion on the last one offense gets set for second down after the incompletion back to the passing game and that pass will be Jarred loose on second down that brings up third down it seemed like there may have been a miscommunication there between the QB and receiver just not on the same page they've got a good chunk of ground to cover on Third and long from the 41 the aerial assault continues throwing right tremendous awareness along the sideline and the ability to get the foot down for the big pickup yeah and you see running backs in today's football they play wide receiver and it looks as if they've buzzed down replay wants to have another Peak at that last play and the play will stand after the replay booth just does a little double checking to make sure they'll throw it on first down fires to the right can't make the grab quarterback just missed him a little [Music] bit really need positive yards on second down after the inp completion they'll snap it from the 44 misfired on the last play they'll go back to the air this time he's got his man they stop him almost immediately short gain there and still a little ground cover pick up the first this offense has their work cut out for him man because the coverage has been so tight and if you're not throwing to the sideline or you're not getting past the sticks this defense is going to tackle you in bounds like they just did on that last play and bleed the clock back to pass it's basac finds his big tight end just what they' hoped for on third down as they've got a first at the 32 and the Falcons come to the line with a new set of downs wants to throw on first down pressure coming and the quarterback will be slung down back at the 43 this quarterback has been under duress all game long he's one of the best in the country and he's used to having his way he's the one who's used to dictating to opposing defenses but that is not been the case in this game here we are late he's still under pressure taking a sack there after the big first down sack it's second down he's looking to throw fires to the wide out got his man well you can tell those two have been practicing the out route all off seon long they look like they could have completed that in their sleep they're a perfect two for two on third down on this drive they need eight to move the chains again wide receiver coming across in motion third down and they'll try the Jet Sweep and sure tackling there to keep him from getting to the first down marker great job by the defense there slowing down that Jet Sweep and a big key was the defensive end containing the play forcing the receiver to cut back inside to where all the traffic was down by multiple possessions they can't come up empty on this drive in the fourth quarter they'll go for it on fourth down he's got a first down and maybe a lot more and they'll finally get him down after a terrific pick up that's a great example of the receiver knowing exactly where the first down marker is he got the depth he needed to get so once he was able to make the catch he already knew he had it and now a fresh set of downs down to the 16 yd line it's first and 10 they'll give it to the back and they try the the middle of this defense and that is not happening you got to have that defense you know you can go to in running situations your base defense where you say okay this is where I'm going to start and I'm going to stop the run stuff it up front my guys play Big up front then if I need to add some blitzes to it later on down the road I can but great job in the base defense making a play leaves it with the back trying to run it in in the Red Zone he's got four and he's down at the 12 they'd love to pick up this third down and get a fresh set with first and goal trying to move the sticks on third down through the air He Wants It All To the End Zone and it's picked off that's why you love veterans in this defense they stay locked in on their rules and he made the pick and as a defensive lineman late in the game man when you know it's passed you're pinning your ears back trying to get to the quarterback and DBS are trying to do this pad them stats get the int nice job by this [Applause] D the NY Lions going back to work on offense now what a good mix of plays keeping that defense off balance last time David and Reese they don't know if it's run or if it's pass they got him right where they want this defense doesn't know how to react from getting punched in the mouth on that last drive so in this next Drive David I think you keep running the football because that sets up the play action it sets up the RPO game and then you keep this defense guessing after the productive first down play it's second and six just feeds to running back gets the nose of the ball to the 25 give him one so they're facing third and short from the 25 they'll run it from the gun and he'll be taken down but he does have enough for the first down big reason why his team has the lead right now is because of his performance running the football well over a 100 yards in this game they knew that they were going to have to really put a lot of pressure on him he'd have to shoulder the load and he has delivered for his offense all game long and off from the shotgun they stop him cold maybe gets a yard to the 34 man that D tackle is a freak athlete did you see him come out of his stance and beat the offensive lineman getting to the running back catlike quick didn't get much on first down it's second and nine on the run it's Allen a stop him CLE maybe gets a yard to the 34 if they can convert here that type of play can really give you a shot of momentum to the ground with the back and he's not going to make it the defense denying him the first down the nitty Lions will try to pin them back with the punt they're up to a half dozen kicks today signals for the fair Catch and that's where they'll put it in play just outside the 20 Bowling Green has it back and they'll send the offense onto the field throws to the wide out oh what a spectacular layout in catch man I I love those guys that are willing to put their body on the line and he does it right here man just lays out that Ball's coming in you can see it from several yards out making that that play laying out keeping the football from touching the turf great concentration great effort by the receiver back to throw it's basac it's complete to the left defense on skates that time they finally drag him down at the 42 and with that one he's now over three bills for the game and there's two reasons why reys he's made good decisions and he's been accurate throwing the football all game one this offense will snap it from the 42 on First and 10 he wants to throw and this will be incomplete a big hit there forces second down this defense has just been all over this guy all game long Under Pressure they're finding a way to get to him and affect his rhythm of course they have an interception in this game that's why they've got a big lead here in the fourth quarter this guy has never gotten into a rhythm after the misfire it's second down he's looking to throw catch in the middle it's Garcia he almost picked up the first down on that one but he'll be just a little bit short wow the quarterback knew he had to get that one to his receiver quickly on the end route did you see the velocity on that throw a completion but not quite enough for the first down third down coming for this offense they're going to throw it again unloads to the the wide out got it in the middle it's Johnson they get him stopped at the 5 yd line but it will be first and goal from there nice play design on that one you make it easy for your quarterback too because it's easy to see what's happening right in front of you over the middle of the field you can see where Defenders are dropping you can see where the soft spots are in zone coverage and just a really nice job by the QB locating his guy making an accurate throw the snap sets up to throw it falls incomplete he was trying to find his man for six well that last incompletion is a good example of why your timing has to be so good as a quarterback because the windows they open and they close so quickly in this part of the field can the D deny them on second and goal scanning the field it's basac into the end zone and it's caught for a touchdown they're going to play this through to the end but this is pretty much window dressing you want something to be able to feel positive about after this game and maybe that late touchdown will do it and Rees I'm positive that that stat counts on my stat line keep playing keep piling up those stats ain't nothing wrong with that P unit on the field splits the upright he marched 78 yds down the field and the score comes on a 5yd touchdown pass kickoff team is on the field they'll try to drive this one deep on the run from inside his own five didn't find any crease in that kickoff coverage and he'll be stopped at the 17 first down here with time for maybe one more play until the two-minute warning they'll run it they want to take their time here able to pick up a couple before he's dragged down at the 19 we reached the two-minute warning and this offense will be quite content just to drain the rest of the time away this offense has a second down play the give to the single back and he was fortunate not to lose yardage on that play able to wedge it back to the line of scrimmage stopping the run is about physicality it's about I'm bigger than you I'm stronger than you up front really nice job by the defense showing their strength bowing up stuffing the Run they line up and it is a long way to the sticks from here looking for a physical attack from the gun really good run there on third down he got five but they're still left with a fourth and three there's nothing more frustrating than when you get late in the game and you know they're running the football and you don't stop them it's been that kind of day for this defense they haven't played well they're going to have to go to the well they're going to have to figure some things out that one well covered just a short game there and this offense is going to have to find more explosive plays and it's it's they can't just rely on the Dink and dunk it's going to have to find itself and score more points listen they got beat up today but moving on in the future they've got some good pieces they got to find a way to fit them together create some explosive plays on this offense cuz today they've been lacking pass is incomplete and they might be fortunate it wasn't knock free for a fumble it'll be third down and this defense has put a game together like it is hard to put all the facets of Defense together run defense pass defense they've been so good man dialed in you could tell they were ready they were fast they were physical they dominated this football game today to the air it's basac he finds a soft spot in the middle that'll be enough for a first down as he crosses and gets it to the 48 wow and what a great job by that quarterback finding his open receiver on third down you know guys one of the most telling stats at the end of the game is third down conversion percentage if you're a great third down team it's invaluable to your offensive success and that's why teams drill third down so much in practice and the defense gets to the quarterback the defense puts the exclamation point on the day they have had a wonderful day man doing everything great just you can tell they were dialed into what was going on and now just throw another sack in the equation hitting the quarterback being disrupted they've been all over the field with the clock running this
