performance than we've had at St James's park for the last couple than the last couple years it's what I expected by to be um I came on we are Tottenham TV 3 months ago uh there was a video clip that got 800 comments of pure hate and negativity because I said the signing of teimo Vera is a major red flag it's a catalyst of what's to come in terms of transfers and what happened the three months after that is exactly what I predicted then and the Yes Man and he's accepted mediocrity into the club today's game is an example of it we went to St James's Park and for the first 20 minutes it was all Newcastle we got a foot in the game uh okay we're one n down but the game still salvageable second half the first 20 minutes we were by far the better team however there's no point having all that domination and possession when you create zero clear-cut chances which is what we did today now why can we not create clear-cut Chances with all that domination with this great team what a squad it's because of two things one Kazi Rich harison who didn't play today OD Deber team o Vera Brennan Johnson against the top 10 teams their stats are shocking they failed to turn up in 80% of games goals and assists and this is what happens they're not good enough for the level we want to be at we can cling onto hope and fake positivity they're going to come good give it a chance but this was a top 10 team and they failed to deliver what we needed was the quality to turn that possession into goals and assists and clear-cut chances and you saw it yesterday with Man City lots of possession very dominant but they've got the quality to convert that into winning goals against another top 10 team and we struggle in 80% of the games to do it I'm not making this up guys these are facts and the stats and the data backs it all up so what then happens is because we don't capitalize on all that positive momentum the other team suck up punches us because we've got Defenders that aren't coached to Man Mark they're too far apart instead of marking the Newcastle players go back at those clips look at the body shape none of them were in good body shape to transition into a defensive play and because we didn't sign a quality number six there's no one there to try and intercept anticipate that through ball which is what a quality number six can do so that ball splits Us open and then we haven't got the pace because we can't play this suicidal High Line with without Micky vanen without him this whole system of Defending on the halfway line collapses and individual eras because we're not coached to Man Mark gets exploited you look at the first goal that didn't come from a Counterattack that didn't come from a high line that's just an attacking play down the flanks but we don't know how to Man Mark and this is exactly what we saw last season I think we're better in terms of attacking possession this season I've seen enough against Everton and leester and Newcastle to say in that final third we are better with possession and pinning teams back but that's going to mean nothing against the top 10 unless you've got killers and those quality players to convert that into goals and big chances and against the top 10 this will happen because they will pick us off and they will Sucker Punch us this is everything I saw last season and and just to top it off guys I just want to read this to you um this this was the bench today if we're such a great team such a great Squad that fans are claiming will get third place and second place do you do you guys honestly think this is you've spun the narrative I never compared our bench to Newcastle my question is is our bench good enough we're one nil down are we good enough to bring on a group of players that can turn the game and win we only scored because of an own goal we didn't even score because we created a chance that we put in the back of the net we needed an own goal so yes we can argue and debate who had the better bench but that's not my point my point is when I look at our bench in a game like this a tough game have we got the caliber of player to come on and really change it and I don't think we do and when I look at the wide players today the amount of successful crosses or passes to a white shirt was so poor yeah so you know guys I want I want it to work with an I want this team to win trophies I've trophies for 25 years man I just don't see it with this one with this system that we play this suicidal system and we didn't bring in the quality that we needed to bolster that starting 11 yeah them had very good games off the bench uh Brennan was probably changed their game in that second half on Off the Bench and I think the reason our bench looks so much more poor than it really is is because we have two forward line injuries so we're already using death we're already going into our death and also vent uh so we have three injuries uh that are first team players and so we're already into our depth and our bench is suffering because not because our depth is necessarily bad we feel that a starting 11 today that is consistent of three players who would not be starting I don't think OD will be starting I don't think um um Ki starts every single game you know salanki has to be playing that game for example Arian just quickly is there a way to turn you up even more because you're quite quiet especially compared to St have you got any way of turning up your volume I have a different microphone I can try to use oh no it's better just just speak as close to the microphone as you can yeah keep going um but I I don't agree on the depth thing because I think we're already going into our depth difficult same with that Newcastle word so it's a little bit difficult to say our bench a way that I think you'll agree with me where I think that there are there's literally not a single excuse left for anybody anymore there is no more Deadwood to sell there are no more foundations to lay there is no more identity crisis we have exactly the same profiles that an has said he wants that Levy has said he's going to back him with and the next move has to be you can compare it to like Arsenal's project where they spent three years under oura from 2019 to 2022 refurbishing Squad they moved out the likes of aubameyang they moved out the likes of La Gazette the likes of Jaa even the likes of um um their Defenders like mustafi and um all these players holding they moved on these players it took them three years to refurbish their squad and like with the profiles with the likes of Gabrielle they loan out CBA and brought him back and then they moved to buying these big money Players massive gamechanging signings like Declan rice right and that is the next step we need if we do not break our transfer record again in the summer if we do not break even hit 100 million signing that is going to be a massive massive massive deployment I think there is no bigger test of character and I've seen them coach this the philosophy is possession based football and to try and have that possession high up for two reasons if we've got the ball we can score and the opposition can't score and if we're high up and we lose possession there's a much longer distance for the opposition to travel to score a goal so we emphasize heavily on possession based football and fluid movements to try and cut teams over open and we and we favor the flanks more than Central attacks but we can switch to a central attack so that's the focus but all the time we spend coaching this we've compromised ours dedicated to defensive coaching kante favored more defensive coaching as did Jose than attacking an is heavy on the attack so what is fundamental for this to work and Man City have proven it you must capitalize on the possession in the attacking phase agreed if you don't capitalize on it because you haven't coached the defensive side enough when the defens is called into action they're going to get exploited at times and when they do you see what happens to us so we can carry on doing this defensive strategy you've got to make the attack superb and I'm sorry the players we've got at the club are not at the level of what man cities are and man city are the team that pull it off better than anyone else course so either we invest heavily in netos carav escalas EZ oshans or Andre's got to start coaching defensive play far better than what he's doing and this is how it's going to be at Spurs something has to give I don't believe him as a coach because I think I think poro for me just to add something before bar comes in is that I think poro for me should be more up that up up the end of the pitch I think he I think he's our best Crosser I think if you put poro more um um where
