CORRECTED AUDIO: The cast of 'Beetlejuice Beetlejuice' praise director Tim Burton in Venice

Tom [Applause] Harper Justin Willi the [Applause] [Music] Jer and it's um to say it's Unique uh well I was going to say it's an understatement but it's the most accurate statement and um there are so few opportunities to mean something that you can say is 100% original and and unique um CU you know you see a wonderful film but it was inspired by something somewhere that someone had had seen you know even you know F or Cawa brilliant as they were somewhere you know something if you asked me or I kind of don't want to know where did this come from it just came from somewhere out there you know so so it's rare to be a part of something like that and um he and I have a nice working relationship and we have a lot of laughs and uh this cast is unbelievably it might be better if that's possible than the former cast but so I was excited again we thought we were making a drama until hi good morning for Mr Barton well congratulations you all because this morning so honored to be part of this amazing cast and to entering Tim's World um Tim is an artist in a fil maker and uh he knows how to create situations that are fantastic and horrific comic and emotional at the same time so this really helped me so much to create this monster I mean more more than a monster she's a creature um theoris and uh I love her Duality because she's mean but also charming and dangerous and to me she's um metaphor of life because we all have emotional scars and uh but she's strong and she's coming back yes of course uh I was so so thrilled and excited to join Beetle Juice Beetle Juice obviously I was huge fan of the first one and um I love everyone here and you know I really looked up to a lot of this cast and it was really wonderful to have already established a working relationship with him because he's somebody that I trust immensely and I really really enjoy with so uh coming on to this one I think uh knowing that I was joining a team of Giants and people who were so specially and talented at what they do I just kind of Tred to mind my business and the corner uh but for the most part I think I I you know I wanted I think you hear that has a daughter as and you think that they're going to be the same so I think for me it was just making sure that I wasn't you know off lovely back in the day and you know making something new but still P cooling certain aspects and things like that that would make them SAR you know they're very self assured and opinionated and know who they are and uh I think their anger comes from a different place she's maybe a little bit more you know not even angry you just love dark things and I think as more has a a bit more trauma and resentment towards the world and that's what she's working through yeah that's that's what I do that was the thing about this whole movie whether it's the music or that part or Italian Spanish for me there was no the ages kind of embrace it be happy to be alive and so happy to be back together with everyone um and it was lovely we didn't even really I don't remember really discussing it so much where we came to an agreement we just all went the way of Lydia and dilia have come to a new place you know I think both uh you know Jenna as and and dilia really care for wi for Lydia and and are worried for her she again kind of a wear Place her life and you can see the direction she's going in and I think that aligned us in a way in a good way um yeah it's just you know the beat goes on and if you're lucky enough to have the beat go on you got to try to evolve and grow and we grew together and it was just so great to see Michael's face up close again have Michael's charm comes through in beet juice and he hasn't age to B his mob I got so lucky one of my favorite Parts was again to stare into your eyes during our um I I was so thrilled to to be with everybody again and had been such a special experience the first one and just to be able to come back to it um wasn't dream come true in my love and Trust for Tim so deep and there was a sense of sort of playfulness um and where you can try things and you know that if it's that he won't use it he's he's it's these sort of opposing things where you feel so safe in that sense but you also feel just completely free and I really appreciate it being around that energy that it was very similar to the to the first one and I I absolutely just feel so spoiled to work with all these people it was it was one of the more special experiences of my life I think I think it's obvious my character is matured as um as sve and sensitive as he was in the first I think he's even more so in this one just his his General caring nature into the sense of Social mors and his political correctness and this for me Tim am I right yes it's just a wonderful opportunity to people people would ask like how do Beetle Juice's character evolve we just start laughing [Music]
