[Music] what a night the NFL's debut game in Brazil had everything fans could hope for an electric atmosphere thrilling plays and an unforgettable performance by saquan Barkley in this video we're going to dive into the Philadelphia Eagles 34-29 win over the Green Bay Packers at Arena Corinthians in sou Paulo saquan Barkley's debut for the Eagles was nothing short of historic and we're going to break it all down right now Barkley had an incredible game scoring three touchdowns in his first appearance for the Eagles he became the first player since Terell Owens in 2004 to score three touchdowns in his debut for Philadelphia his first touchdown came on an 18yd reception in the second quarter giving the Eagles a 7 to six lead he followed that up with two rushing touchdowns including a 2-y run that y the Eagles victory in total Barkley racked up 132 yds from scrimmage with 109 of those on the ground he also recovered a crucial fumble at the one yd line in the final minute to keep the Eagles in control of the ball the Packers weren't without their own star though Jaden Reed had a huge game for Green Bay scoring two touchdowns in the first half he broke loose for a 33 yd rushing touchdown and followed it up with a 70 yard receiving touch touchdown putting the Packers ahead late in the second quarter Reed ended the night with 138 total yards but despite his impressive performance Green Bay couldn't hold the lead unfortunately the Packers night took a turn for the worse when quarterback Jordan love went down with a serious injury in the final seconds of the game love had been playing well but his injury left the Packers scrambling as backup Malik Willis stepped in to finish the game it was a tough blow for green Bay in a game that was so closely contested one of the game's biggest moments came at the start of the third quarter when Jaylen Herz connected with AJ Brown for a 67 yd touchdown pass giving the Eagles a 24-19 lead Brown had been quiet in the first half but exploded in the second finishing with 119 receiving yards and breaking a six-game scoreless streak despite herz's three turnovers in the game including an interception in the Red Zone in the fourth quarter the Eagles defense held firm and limited Green Bay to a field goal after the turnover so why did the Eagles come out on top it's simple saquan Barkley his ability to step up and make plays when Herz was struggling made all the difference on the flip side the Packers struggled in the Red Zone going just one for four and missed key opportunities to capitalize on turnovers early in the game situational football wasn't Green Bay strength and It ultimately cost them the win in the end saquan Barkley's debut was the story of the night with three touchdowns and over 100 rushing yards he showed exactly why the Eagles brought him in if this is a preview of what's to come the Eagles offense just got a whole lot more dangerous for the Packers they'll need to regroup and hope Jordan Love's injury isn't too serious they have some exciting young talent but they need to clean up their Red Zone execution if they want to be contenders this season that wraps up our breakdown of the Eagles versus Packers what do you think is saquan Barkley the missing piece for a Super Bowl run in Philadelphia and can the Packers bounce back without Jordan love let me know in the comments and don't forget to like And subscribe for more NFL game analysis thanks for watching
