here today we've got a really compelling contest here a team that's earned a top 25 ranking heading on the road for a serious test of their Poise and their medal as we'll see the number 11 team in the country the Florida state seminal taking on another ACC team the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 3A sports college football I'm Chris fer here in the booth with K KB Street I think we've talked long enough KK let's get this game going [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] the yellow jackets will kick this deep to start us off and he'll bring it out from inside the 10 not much on their return they'll stop him at the 24 good coverage so Florida State's offense making their way on the field to open this game and here comes that star wide receiver certainly one of the focal points the offense one of the best in college football he has that kind of yeah I'm him AA I'm the best player on the field the field this guy crawled out of the bed thought he was the best he's confident but he carries it as a guide for his team it gives them confidence because they know that when he's great they have a chance to win every game second down after that previous play scanning the field it's wangal La running out of time in the pocket got him he's sacked this is exactly how you can slow down the momentum and a rhythm of an offense you got to get some tackles for a loss and some sacks this time they come up with a sack by getting after that quarterback [Music] [Music] so a tricky situation here third and very long inside your own 20 how much of risk do you take you know this defense could be very aggressive at this moment grab behind the line it's Lee he stopped short of the marker so it's fourth down now great job here by the defense third down and long drop back in coverage keep everything in front of you force that quarterback to have to check the ball down then you rally to the fo ball to force his fourth down great job here by the D and the NOS will line up to kick it away on a pun now for the first time today and the returner decides to Signal fair catch so Georgia Tech offense comes out with their first possession today and here we go Kirk this match up on the edge that's going to go a long way to deciding this game an elite wide receiver and a guy who doesn't believe anybody can be is it's going to be like a boxing match where it's an allout battle to extremely gifted athletes competing on every snap better get your popcorn ready brought down but not before he gets into enemy territory at the 49 this is exactly how this offense envisioned this game getting started is having opportunities to be able to crease this defense and hit big plays now let's see what they can do off of it big guys up front lined up it's first down they'll run it here they make the stop but not before a solid game that time just a great play by the running back here finding his lanes and exploding through the Gap when it opened up this line getting set up it's a first down play and now the running back's got it again tackle behind the line it's a loss of two well they don't block the defensive end there shows some quick is KK getting around the edge that time yeah this guy's usually getting around the edge to put pressure on the quarterback but he reminds everybody here that this guy's a complete package not only can he pressure the quarterback but also he is very very talented and shows you the physicality he has against the run as well from the shotgun hand off inside that's a nice wrap up there by the junior see that's how you limit what an offense wants to do this time the defense just won the battle up front at the line of scrimmage not giving up any big plays everybody's Gap sound it's really solid defense on that play they come to the line a long way to go for the first down but needing this crucial conversion right now on third down he drops to throw looking to set up a screen pass here a big game before he goes out of bounds the offense keeps churning gets a fresh set of downs well this is great execution here on this screen play to the running back to pick up big yards in the first down I think in the process Chris they send a message to the defense you can Rush our quarterback all you want but when you do you better be careful cuz we're going to throw the screen on it on First and 10 here looking to throw the ball oh it's incomplete that's a good job of the defender to break that up well this is just an outstanding job by this Defender being in Phase against this receiver and being able to tip that ball away he actually tips it up into the air the offense catches a break that that Ball's not intercepted second down after the incompletion back to pass it's King finds an open Target on the left side and the defense swarms not much of a gain on that completion well the defense didn't have any time at all to get pressure on a quarterback he gets the ball out of his hands pretty quickly on the hitch to the receiver now it's third and short from the 24 one of those line of scrimmage battles that could help decide this game hand it off for a draw and he'll be smarter right at the line for no game that back just had nowhere to go got to give credit to the defense and their run fits on that play So the decision is to not go for it but settle for three here comes the field goal team [Music] kick is good gives the offense three points to show for that drive so we have our first points on the board that makes it three nothing I was watching this guy in pregame he has got a strong leg I'm surprised here he's able to put three points up here for the offense they return it from inside the 10yd line and they've got the returner Corral and the flid state offense set back onto the field last time was a quick three and out and they get a drive going this time and he'll try to pick it up on the ground in the clear the 25 brought down at the 33 that's good enough to move the sticks first down play call coming up how aggressive will it be he'll feed the back again the gain is three yards brings up a second down and seven nice job here controlling the line of scrimmage by this offensive line the back does what he needs to do to get positive yards on first down here's the second down play no connection there the pass is incomplete from a big man of the RPO but it is a dangerous play for the quarterback you got to make the right decision on this play it just seemed like he was a little hesitant unsure and it cost him here with an incompletion after the incompletion the lineup here for a third and seven dropping back looking to throw for the first down finds that big tight end for a short pass big play across Midfield they'll spot it near the 36 the defense is spread all over the field creating some one-on-one matchups and a quarterback makes them pay for it the nolles pick up first down yards to keep the drive going he'll hand it off that's a strong stiff arm and the broken tackle there produces a solid game great job by the offensive line here opening up some holes and get in the ring back room to run on first down plays like this can open up the playbook for the play caller allow him to make that defense think are they going to run maybe play action maybe throw the ball down field the back behind the quarterback now in the pistol scanning the field it's wangala oh and he dropped it might have burn some foot steps there over the middle that brings up third down I don't know man I think he gets across the middle he starts thinking about those linebackers and safety got a little bit nervous lost his concentration and drops the ball so now from the 29 it's third down and short we's see what the play call is going to be here already in field goal range but of course thinking touchdown fighting him off and he's brought down but he does have enough for the first down you know offensive linemen are just a certain breed they're always going to do their job no matter who's back there carrying the ball I tell you what they have a little bit more confidence when the person that's carrying the ball can break off some big time runs that makes them block just a little bit harder knowing what he's potentially capable of doing you senior able to make the stop after a short game Christino the spread era over the years has always grown offensively I've been always impressed with the defenses that really build their defense to play in space still have an ability to be sound at the line of scrimage and defend a running game it's exactly what we saw right there makes the catch can he get in and he'll take this into the end zone but on here we do have a flag down let's see what that's about pretty easy call for the head coach he will accept that penalty of course now this is the eighth play on this drive hand off to the single back Jukes to get free they bring him down that's a very solid game but still well short of the first down just love watching this back run Gets behind that offensive line lowers his p and get a nice solid game they're backed up here trying to make something happen on Third and long handing off on the draw play picks up a game here they'll stop him just a few inches short of the first down marker so the pass up the Chip Shot field goal attempt and go for it on fourth down looking for some space it's Williams the SE look to keep this drive moving I can really appreciate this offensive coordinator not trying to just do something crazy you're less than a foot away from the first down line just punch it in and pick up a first down that's what they call here and it works out perfectly and the seals line it up with first and goal keep it on the ground on first and goal couldn't quite get in but they're knocking on the door at the one Chris is the consistency of this back is giving this defense a pit they've got to come up with some changes up front this guy's already over 50 yards and if he keeps running the way he is is not only is he having a great day but it's going to give this quarterback a chance to hit some big plays down field off play [Applause] action on the ground trying to muscle it across the line he Powers into the end zone touchdown 7 they were backed up to start the drive but some bold play calling great execution and they reached the end zone you know it's easy to just kind of pull your horns in and get conservative when you're pushed way back close to your own goal line but not this offense they came out showed the confidence that they have in their quarterback and it paid off nice touchdown so they try to add to the lead now with the p we manages the footing and the extra point is up and good that kickoff team is on the field let's see if they give the returner a chance to bring this one back return begins inside the 10 he'll be tackled at the 18 that's good coverage there and here comes the Georgia te offense back out on the field remember it was a field goal in the last possession let's see what they can come up with this time and it's incomplete he just missed his Target over throwing it you know this is the one thing I love about this running back is his ability to get involved in the pass game runs a great route just doesn't come down with a catch incompletion makes it second down going to run it it's hes at only a one yd gain so it's third and nine coming up you know in that era that we live in right now everybody wants to spread the field around try to create space try to create one matchups and the defense has countered over the years by trying to play out wide but here's a great example of the defense has the ability to play wide but still be solid at the line of scrimmage and not give up big run [Applause] plays makes a quick grab finds room at the 30 brought down at the 33 that's good enough to move the sticks that's a nice pick up there they find some space in the zone and pick up the first down yeah really nice call here Chris to be able to pick up this first down on this drag route the quarterback does a nice job of being patient waiting for that window to open up in that zone and he put it right on the money for the receiver to have a chance to not just catch it but eventually get the first throws a fast B but it's intercepted can he take it all the way return a pick six touchdown Florida State well the takeaway and the touchdown that is just a dream play for any Defender KK well let's start with the interception I just love the fact that he got his eyes turned around found the football and then has the athletic ability to be able to secure it then he goes back to high school running back days and shows you what he can do with the ball in his hands and takes it all the way back for a touchdown beautiful thing so they'll try to add to the lead now with the p no problem with the phc the lead 14 kickoff team has come on the field now to send this one away and he'll bring it out from inside the 10 he's tackled at the 21 that's when the drive will start the Georgia Tech offense is back out there they have got to bounce back on this possession after throwing a pick six last time out here it's a quarterback keeper running with purpose the junior able to bring him down quickly not exactly the outcome this offense was hoping for here on the option they give them credit they didn't lose anything so it wasn't a negative play but this kind of play's got to be able to hit big and get down the sidelines for big yards second down play coming [Applause] up they go with the ground G running back takes the hand off and the defense Smothers him for No Gain boy this defense is strong up front linebackers are flying downhill able to make plays against this run game now they get this offense to another third down now you pressure that quarterback and try to build on the lead offense been in Reverse here now a long way to go to convert this third down makes the grab it's Lane the defense will wrap him up after a seven yd gain it'll bring up fourth down and the defense plays it pretty well Force the quarterback to make the throw in front of you as a defense then you square up and make the tackle force them to do something special after the catch a tactic works here now we've got a fourth down and at Fourth Down they'll punt it away here and this will be fair caught at the 35 yd line and the seols offense comes back on the field the last Drive the ground game was so successful ended in a touchdown we'll see if the defense can respond to it this time boy troll was in screens a great way to counter an effective pass rush allow those defensive ends to get up field and then hand it off at the last [Applause] second offense getting set it's second down out of the shotgun he'll hand it off and the runner brought down after just a short game the defensive coordinator this week all week telling us about Gap Integrity not giving this running back any creases at all really sound defense on that play offense are going to keep the drive going here third and short now from the 44 they'll try to move the chain here on the ground tackle but first down sometimes I almost get mesmerized watching these Runners who have great vision you know the eyes that carry their feet to the open space making people Miss I just love watching those guys do work and the NES getting set on First and 10 takes the ball and heads to the left they've got him but he picks up eight yds sets up a nice second and two I tell you to be able to pick up a nice game like that those offensive linemen have to sustain their blocks gave them a chance at a really nice game second down after that run of the previous [Applause] play we'll give it to the running back a tackle him behind the line a loss of four man every defensive coordinator will tell you I just want my guys to play fast and how about that one right there he almost ends up tackling the quarterback as he's handing the ball off this offense is lucky they didn't end up fumbling brucial third down play coming up back to throw it's wangal cannot connect incomplete and now fourth down the NOS will bring their punt team on the field now they're going to kick it away for the second time ball lands at the eight and bounces into the end zone for a Touchback here comes the Georgia Tech offense back out on the field they're coming off a three and out looking to produce a positive drive here he'll tackle him at the 27 man you know the back gets a lot of the attention here and he's a good B I love to see that offensive line win the battle with the line of scrimmage second down after that run on the previous play quick throw that's an RPO caught on the left side defense makes the stop after the completion how about this defense that is called team Pursuit swarming to this wide receiver on the screen not allowing him to get his momentum up field offense comes up to the line he might have a chance for a couple more plays before the quarter expires kibi decides to keep it here breaks loose at the 40 tackled after a solid gain it's enough for a first down and that should wrap up the first quarter of play as we break for the quarter Cur Florida state is on top Solid performance so far creating some separation the first quarter stats back at it to start the quarter offense getting set to run a first down play from the gun he looks for an open man quarterback takes off now looking to scramble and they'll get him down that time second down play coming up for this [Applause] offense grab behind the line it's Lane and he'll maybe get back to the line of scrimmage but no more than that I love the call here with the wide receiver screen but where's he going to go blockers do not do their job and open up any running Lanes at all not going to be easy here backed up a long way to go for a first down [Applause] now they run a draw play the defense stops him short of the marker so it's Fourth Down coming up now a fourth down Yellow Jackets will line up to boot it away H he comes for his second punt of the game and this is off the side of the foot the bounce and roll out of bounds personal foul ring the kicker defense and the head coach will decide to accept the penalty and take the yardage the offense will keep going here after that special team's penalty and they hand it off to the back they've got him but not before a solid gain on the ground and the yellow jackets will hustle to the line to run the hurry up offense they'll keep it on the ground with the draw Play What a move goes right through the tackle he's got room to run now and they stop him at the four after an excellent run that's what you love to see see from an offense the offensive line and the running back in sync working together and it pays off what a big gain thought he might be close to being to take it all the way to the end zone but the defense just brings him down there inside the five Yellow Jackets will line up here on first down and goal pre- snap motion from the receiver here's the hand off on first and goal the sof with a strong tackle there now [Applause] second down and goal upcoming play action fake looking to throw nowhere to go the ball knocked loose looks like the offense able to recover it there well it's a good job by the defense to force the fumble but you have to have the collective aw awareness for someone to get on top of it it's a lucky break for the offense offense moving backwards here a long way from the goal line now drops back looking to throw for it on third down slides down will void The Tackle well they did a good job of getting pressure on the quarterback but man make the play bring him down instead they give up positive yards here on the scramble so on fourth down the decision is to try out the field goal team he was successful on his first try this is just a Chip Shot from 21 yds out the kick is good he knocked it right down the middle well they almost put a touchdown on the board but instead they come away three [Music] points so after the field goal the kicker out there again to boot it away he's going to return it from near the goal line be tackled at the 17 strong job by the coverage team here comes the Flor to State offense on the field we're trying to build on their lead they were forced to punt in the last possession and tackled after a small pickup there Hey listen you don't always have to have big plays to be successful it's a nice solid game here keeps you on schedule and you get ready for that next play offense getting set second down play here and they'll give it to the back fights off a Defender they'll tackle him right at the 25 yd line well they didn't bust that for a big play but it makes this third down coming up a little bit more manageable and that certainly has a lot of value so the offense faces a third and manageable here from the 25 yd line try and muscle for the first down tackled but only after picking up a fresh set of downs how about that Chris third down and two they get just enough I thought they might bring the sticks out to measure it was so close but they're going to give him the first down that's just trusting your back to get the yards you need for the first down the sem old will have first and 10 here we'll try to pick up the yard yardage on the ground they bring him down to the 32 yd Line This exactly what you want to see as a play call if you get positive yards to be able to kind of keep you on schedule as a play caller that's all you can ask for good job up front and a nice run getting set here's second [Applause] down B handed off that run moves the ball across the 35 I feel like they called that knowing chances are they're not going to hit a home run but look at this put themselves in a perfect third down situation it's much more manageable we'll see if they can convert solid gain in the running play third down now ball handed to the running back that'll pick up a first down they'll spot it at the 38 they get just enough for the first down here nice job by the offensive line controlling the line of scrimmage and giving the back a chance to pick up the first down and the seals pick up enough yardage for a first down to the air it's wangala receiver makes the grab love the timing here between the quarterback and his receiver pick up some positive yards and I continue to be impress with just the the chemistry between these [Music] two important second down play coming [Applause] up hand off here from the shotgun that's a nice tackle there by the senior third TR to convert again on the third down it's third and2 the quarterback keeps it on the option they tackle him behind the line a loss of four well the quarterback does everything right except pitch the football the defensive end's going to take him which is great that's what you want but you got to get that ball out quicker to not allow that defensive end to make that play and the NOS will have to kick it away [Applause] and the fair catch signal for and take it and here comes the Georgia Tech offense back out on the field the last possession they moved it but settled for a chip shot so sort of an unsatisfying result looking to do more here on the ground it's haes this guy's got some wiggle and you can see there he's got some power he's able to break through one arm tackle but the secondary comes up to finish him off second down after that run on the previous play offense looking to throw the ball he fires this throw and it's intercepted look out he's got some space brings the interception all the way back touchdown Nos and a pick six a monster play by this defense here KK that Defender showed a lot of athletic ability there with the ball in his hands I wouldn't be surprised if the head coach watching that thought about maybe giving in some reps as a returner after that touchdown so they try to add to the lead now with the Pat the Pat is good so the lead is 216 here's the kickoff team Now set to boot this one away set Kick he'll return it from inside the 10yd line tackled at the 22 good job by the coverage team the Georgia Tech offense is back out there it'll be interesting to see if this quarterback can bounce back threw a pick six in the last possession hand off running right nice solid run here by this back did a nice job of just kind of finding that lane pick up some positive yards there on First and 10 a game makes it second and medium to throw it's King looking to scramble slides to avoid the big hit boy a defense trying to get after this quarterback I love the concept I love the idea here they don't give up the big play they prevent him from getting out and picking up huge Yards First and 10 play coming up here's the snap looking to throw here and he dumps it off to the tight end they're finally able to stop him the quarterback brings the big man down not easy to do with that size difference and here the tight end shows off his hands for a nice game love to see the big man get his touches now it's second down here here's the snap looking to throw oh and he flat dropped it going to bring up third down for this offense that's everything you want to see from an offense great execution the line gave the quarterback time quarterback makes a great read throws it to his guy and the receiver drops it now he's going to have to sh shake that off and get ready to make that next play the offense now looking at a third and short from their own 40 trying to keep this drive going there's the snap they'll set up to throw on the junior gets home making a sack there well the defense would not be denied on this play they come up with a sack quarterback really didn't have much of a chance at all lucky he just held on to the ball and the yellow jackets bring their punt team onto the field and he'll kick it away now for the second time oh he's got some space here they finally get him down but that's his solid return good work by The Return Man and before State offense head back onto the field they had to put the ball last time now they're looking to add points build on this lead finds his man it's Douglas and the runner scoots out of bounds after gaining some decent yardage these undersiz slot receivers can be some of the toughest guys to contain for a defense they're quicker than they really are fast and they're very elusive tough to contain in these one-on-one matchups and the wi out goes in motion a pop pass on the jet sweep breaking tackles tackle made after a nice pickup on the play the defense has got to do a much better job here of adjusting to the pre-nap motion they just kind of stayed in place and it gave the receiver plenty of room there to make a nice play fresh set it out it's first and 10 they're going to run it running with purpose they tackle him behind the line a loss of four maybe this stop is an indicator of what's to come for this defense the offense frankly has been able to enforce their will in the first half but maybe things are starting to change what's the play here on second down for this [Applause] offense On The Run it's Williams tackled behind the line it's a loss of two the defense made a good play there but needs to string along more stops like that against this running back if they want to be able to win this game Run game has looked good in the first half but maybe that won't be the case from now on offense needing to keep this drive alive it's a third down play back to pass it's wangala makes a quick catch quarterback had a lot of time to evaluate this defense and most of his reads down field appeared to be taken away so he checks it down to his running back and how about the way this defense just runs to the football to keep him short of that first down great job with the Deep so on fourth down they will settle for a field goal attempt and they will trust the kicker here from 55 yds out let's see if he can get it there and that is no good and the lead remains at 15 after the Miss well that's going to go down as an empty possession for this offense no points as he's off Target you can see he's hanging his head po [Music] kicker here comes the Georgia Tech offense back out on the field the last Drive stalled they were forced to punt it away let's see what they can come up with this time the sh hands it's Singleton tackled quickly after the catch he'll be short of the marker that completion makes it second and medium here's the snap quarterback looking to throw they try a downfield shot that's a good effort there but now it's third down well it's an incompletion here but I bet this secondary is going to play a little bit deeper just to make sure they don't get hit on any deep throws later in this game offense looking to keep the drive going here third and short now from the 44 quarterback looking to connect with the receiver here he's going to take off the first down pickup tackled at the 45 this could be a turning point in this football game defense does a good job it's third down they got to get after this quarterback and instead he pulls it down and picks up Big yards for a first down kind of feel the momentum flipping here first down here time for one more play before the clock stops for the two-minute warning he hands it off from the [Applause] gun offense getting set up here's second down back to throw it's king that's going to be incomplete a lot of contact no flag brings up third down that's a misfire there Chris this passing game has got to be able to get into syn and find a rhythm after the incompletion the lineup here for a third and seven dropping back look going to throw for the first down looking for his big tight end oh and another incompletion boy Chris what a hit there on that third down play by the defensive back if he doesn't make that play that's probably a first down and they move the sticks instead we've now got fourth down the yellow jackets will send the punt team onto the field on to kick it away helping his team with field position and the punt goes out of bounds the official now will Mark the Spot and the seols offense comes back on the field offense protecting the lead here but they've been playing so well let's see if they go for more before halftime grab down the middle it's TOA they make the tackle but not before a solid gain on that one thing I love about this bat is how he gets involved in the passing game nice catch here second down after that completion [Applause] there's the snap quarterback setting up to throw caught over the middle it's TOA not much after the catch but it is good enough for a first down the running back that time just kind of sneaks out of the back field and shows his hands on that nice catch how aggressive will they be on this first down play and the quarterback drops back looking for an open man oh and he dropped it very uncharacteristic play by this wide receiver second down we know it's not an easy job to go out and catch passes when people are trying to tackle you and knock the ball away but the bottom line is that's a pass You' got to have to come up with and make a catch inom completion sets up a second down looking to pass it's wangal catch PA on the out route that's a big game before he goes out of bounds it'll move the sticks more than enough for a first down yeah you know this defense has got to be frustrated after giving a multiple conversions now on first downs there's another one but for the offense and they're just playing very efficiently right now the NOS lining up here on First and 10 from the shotgun drops back looking for an open man and it's incomplete the defender arrived the same time as the football and now it's second down [Music] [Applause] they'll run it with the draw play tackled behind the line it's a loss of Two and a quick timeout call by the offense after the play Man the defense coordinator has to be fired up about this play the thing that he has to love is that his defense and their technique right on point they didn't lose their leverage they stayed with the play and didn't just go after the quarterback he pulls it in for a big game heads out of bounds after a solid gain more than enough to pick up a first down this offense has become a first down machine and that's so demoralizing for a defense especially for those star players who don't sub out as much but the fourth quarter really starts to wear you out first down looking to throw the football physical defending that one Falls incomplete brings up second down what a hit there by the defender tough to the receiver hold on to the football when he has that kind of contact good clean play by the defense incomplete second down coming [Applause] up it's a draw to the back but the gain is just one yard sets up a third and nine now and third down they come to the line a long way to go for the first down but needing this crucial conversion right now that's reeled in it's Douglas the reception that'ss about seven yd but fourth down coming up here [Applause] offense tops the clock with their second timeout to talk strategy time out Florida State so with only a few seconds left in the half out comes the field go unit and he's made him from 50 yd out showing off the deep range that makes 2 GE M's going to wrap up the first half here let's kick it now to Kevin Connor with our halftime update gentlemen what else is new a really rockus environment there in Atlanta and it' be easy to say these two offenses are glad we've hit halftime based on their respective performances it would also be accurate turnovers and sacks have told the story so far and you got to believe the play calling has been the issue right time to shred those game plans and just get back to basics either way it's time to find out back to the best in the biz for the start of this third quarter the seol will kick this away to begin the second half and he takes this from inside the five stopped at the 22 it's pretty solid coverage there and here comes the Georgia Tech offense back out on the field off the play fake looking to throw under heavy pressure he takes a shot the pass is dropped incomplete would have had a huge game took his eye off the ball well these guys just continue to struggle throwing the football you know whether it's been running the wrong route the quarterback not being accurate the offensive line not doing their job it's been a collective effort and it's a big reason and why they're trailing now in this game let try the ground game here with the running back Breaking Free at the 35 tackle made after a big game they trust the left side of that offensive line and come up with a huge play on the ground yeah your favor Chris there the old pin and pull there to the left side great blocking on the left side able to create a great push nice crease and the back found that with the vision and picks up some big yards for that first down and in first down they go right back to him tackled behind the line it's a loss of two Chris I think we all kind of get caught up in third down what what is an offense doing on third down but I think what's also important is how well do you defend first down if you can hold your opponents to a short gain or a tackle for a loss you throw the offense out of whack and their game plan gets much more challenging to try to come up with that first down extending the play now he'll Avo The Tackle there with a slide well I thought the defense had him here Chris he should be down the back field but instead he gets out of the pressure and actually picks up some positive yards and the yellow jackets come up to the line to crank the tempo up here drops back needing a third down completion here under heavy pressure takes a shot as he throws the ball it's nearly picked off he couldn't hold on to it don't expect that from such a reliable Defender brings up fourth down though well they come out firing here to start this second half they didn't make this completion but I think it sends a clear clear message to this defense that the adjustments that this offense is going to make is that they're going to be aggressive and they're going to look for their one-on-one opportunities oh and he shanked it and the punt lands out of bounds let's see exactly where they'll spotted here and here comes the floor to sayate offense on the field the last Drive produced three points thanks to an excellent longrange field goal oh there's the stiff arm the stiff arm again they can't stop him and a big game before he goes out of bounds the offense keeps churning gets a fresh set of downs hey whether it's been on the inside or bouncing things to the outside this guy has shown you everything that he has to offer and a big part of the reason why they're enjoying this nice lead first down play call how aggressive will it be looking to throw it's wangala that pass is hauled in over the middle and a nice first down game there they get him down but very close to the first down marker well you can tell the quarterback knew exactly what he wanted to do with the football he was going to that end route no matter what he hits it for a nice game by completion sets up a second down [Applause] play moving the receiver around pre snap going to run it it's Williams they'll stop him behind the line for a loss of one but the back just had nowhere to go how about the defensive line they eat up all the blocks up front freeing those line backers up to be able to make the play just a bad Play All Around for this offense critical third down play for this offense right here can he get there on the ground and they stop it I think it's short of the first down well the defensive line does their job eating up those double teams freeing up the backers to make the play the offense already has one four time conversion they do it for a second time here's the snap quarterback drops back context is he let the ball go it's complete that's enough for a first down they make the tackle but he easily gets first down yardage and the drive keeps going well Chris here's an example of what we always talk about on fourth down the receivers got to run a route beyond the sticks great awareness to know exactly where he is quarterback makes the throw rece gets hit but he's beyond the sticks for the first down the defense better regroup after that big Gainer it's first and goal just outside the F but they can't make the connection Falls incomplete here's an opportunity for a big play across the middle but he didn't quite have the concentration or the focus necessary ends up dropping it before he can bring it in it's second down and goal now for this offense tailback tests the middle of the defense and he will be stuffed for No Gain well the offense is trying to overpower him at the line of scrimmage and it's not working out the defense getting lower winning The Leverage battle it's going to bring up third and goal you got to think about maybe going through the air here to put a touchdown up on the board so play number seven on this drive is a third down and goal to throw it's wangal tu down semal and the route is [Applause] on catch and [Applause] score so they'll try to add to the lead now with the p and the kick is up and good they tack on a point to their leadid here's a kickoff team let's see if they give the returner opportunity to bring this back adance on the football return begins inside the 10 tackled at the 22 good job by the coverage team and the Georgia Tech offense is back out there last time they were Force to punt it away can they get points out of this possession he pulls in the catch stopped right near Midfield it'll be a first down what a pitch and catch by the quarterback and receiver for a big gain for this offense after the first play they're very close to Midfield already quarterback pulls the ball it's a keeper they've got him after a seven yd game so second and three oh the read option here the quarterback keeps it I thought he was going to get out and maybe take this downfield for big yards the defense very fortunate to keep him to a shorter gain second down after that run on the previous play the shotgun running play call he'll be taken down but he does have first down yardage look I realize on any play call from it's properly executed it can go to the house for a touchdown but the runs that really make a game plan work are the ones where you get just what you need and he barely got the first down but he got it the yellow jackets have first and 10 here to throw it's King misses the receiver incomplete man Chris I don't know if that was a bad read by the quarterback or a bad route by the receiver they got to get this cleaned up before the next time they go through the air incomplete so it's second down and 10 fakes the hand off looking to throw looking for his big tight end makes the catch downfield tackle is made but the game sets the offense up first and goal from the nine and the defense seems to be all about loading up the stop the run they're creating some one-on-one opportunities and the quarterback and receiver make them pay for it with a great [Applause] play offense racing down the field it sets up a first and goal inside the [Applause] 10 trying to find some room it's GES they'll stop him behind the line for a loss of one my gosh this offensive Line's got to do a better job of blocking the defense was zeroed in on the ball carrier and absolutely nowhere to go for the offense ball back at the 10 yd line now for second and goal run to the left trying to find P he's swallowed up at the line could not get past that big defense to tackle well they get stopped here on second down it's going to bring up a third and goal situation and from this far back out wouldn't be surprised to see them go through the air just don't want the quarterback to take a sack here make sure he gets the ball out of his hands quickly the offense has been moving backwards here now a long way to go on Third and goal he's escaping the pocket now on the move but can't find a receiver and he's brought down and that takes the wind right out of your Sails this offense is trying to find a way to get get back into this game and another pressure and a sack against their quarterback so on fourth down now out comes the field goal unit it'll be a 34 yd [Applause] try that one straight down the middle oh Chris it's a nice kick here to polish off that drive with at least three points up on the board [Music] following the field goal the kickoff team is out there now kick and he'll bring it out from inside the 10 he's tackled at the 21 that's for the drive start and the FL State offense head back onto the field let's see if he can keep that passing game going the last possession very efficient and precise oh nice play by the defender got a hand in there to break up the pass I'm not sure the quarterback makes the right decision on this one I think if he'd do it over again he would have found a different Target down field but he made his decision that one's incomplete second down after the incompletion [Applause] heading left after the handoff tackled behind the line it's a loss of two well it's not been their day as a defense but you can see they have not given up what a big hit into the back field that time well a serious challenge for this offense you don't want to be in third and long inside your own 20 how much of a risk will they take to try to pick up this first down andan decid to just throw it away that's going to bring up fourth down now oh he just threw it away here Chris and it's not the worst decision you'd wish he'd find a guy open to give him a chance for this offense to convert but at least they have some room now to work if they want to bring the punter out the SS will have to punt this one [Applause] away Turner decides it's a fair Catch This Here Comes the Georgia Tech offense back out on the field the last possession they settled for three let's see if they can reach the end zone this time from the shotgun it's a handoff they pick up four so second down and Six coming up hat on a hat up front good job opening up the holes anytime you get positive yards on first down that's a win a gain makes it second and medium and the back gets the football tackled up near Midfield at the 48 I know this defense worked very hard at halftime to come up with answers on how to try to slow down this running back after the big first half and he's already at it again urgency now for the offense that hate to come up empty on this drive down multiple scores [Applause] quarterback keeps the football they tackle him behind the line a loss of four there's the defense stepping up and making a nice play let's face it this quarterback has been tough to deal with he's been able to run and pick up some good yards but this time the defense is in position and they tack one for loss and the yellow jackets will bring their punt team onto the field on the kick now for the fifth time today and they return AB Brad down by that coverage team and the SS offense comes back on the field they were held to a quick three and out last time looking to put together a positive drive here and they heave it deep down field that falls incomplete an aggressive deep shot on first down most offensive coaches will be happy taking those 5050 shots against man coverage but I'm curious to see if they're going to test this DB again after that coverage second down after that previous [Applause] play and now they run the draw play now they test the middle of the defense but get nothing was an excellent effort by this defense just staying in their run F holding their own at the line of scrimmage and then making a tackle offense just couldn't get enough of a push get any yards at all offense facing a third and long from the 28th got to have your pass protection in order on this play looking to throw into wangala has no one to throw to there on third down and now it's a fourth down coming up well Chris obviously they had to go through the air there to try to pick up this third down and long but when you're so far behind the chains but you really allow this defense to dictate things and allows them to put pressure on your quarterback and can affect the timing as we saw in this play and on fourth down the punter sends it away he'll call for the fair catch here and here comes the Georgia Tech offense back out on the field this group is coming off a quick three and out and they put something together in this drive they'll stop him behind the line for a loss of one think about quickness that play is absolutely blown up in no time Chris I don't know if that's a miss assignment by the offensive lineman or just really good instincts there by the defender but that play is blown up right at the snap here's the second down play quarterback drops back we're going to test the secondary oh it's incomplete a rare drop from an excellent wide receiver he's up third down not going to be easy here backed up a long way to go for a first down drops back looking to throw for it on third down junior steps up and makes an impact play and just like that you squeeze the life out of this offense that's another sack by this defense they have been in that back field the entire game and a big reason why these guys are enjoying a lead [Applause] Yellow Jackets will line up to pun it away forced to kick it away for the sixth time rning it back it's Douglas and the coverage team gets the returner to the ground here comes the Florida state offense on the field they were forced to punt it last time now they're looking to respond and add to this lead already got the first down but looking for more yardage he'll be taken down but he crosses Midfield to the 48 boy this offense does such a great job of putting the threat of the quarterback and the running back on this defense it puts the defense in a tough spot because it's really hard to take both away this time the quarterback gets out and shows you the speed he has as well first down looking to throw the ball that one Falls incomplete good defensive play brings up second Down Chris I thought he had his hands on that football I thought he was going to come down with it but give the defense all the credit with a big hit to knock that ball loose so after the incompletion it's second [Applause] down try to catch the defense with the draw but only a Oney game so it's third and9 they come to the line a long way to go for the first down but needing this crucial conversion right now looking downfield it's wangala receiver looks it in it's complete they make the stop just short of the first like inches to go and now Fourth Down Chris give him some credit here he's fighting to get to that first down breaks the tackle just comes up a little bit short of the first down so they'll send out the field goal unit to give it a shot here from very long distance they're going to trust the kicker from 56 yds out let's see if he's got the distance KCK is up and no good and the lead remains at 22 after the miss this guys usually reliable in this I thought that was going to be an easy field goal in three points but instead he misses so you walk away with [Music] nothing and the Georgia Tech offense is back out there they're coming off a quick three and out so looking to put something together on this drive with a little more urgency using the ground game here tailback has the hand off he's found some room with the 45 oh and he's in the clear now it's a fo R makes it across the goal line touchdown Georgia te what a long run for the touchdown well if this defense was called sleeping or walking in mud I can't pick which one maybe it's both because the running back just went right by them so easily for the big game in a big time score [Music] [Applause] now it's twoo conversion attempt coming up oh it's snapped to the back they give it to him again but this time he stopped short they come up empty on the two-point try now the kickoff team is out on the field he'll return it from inside the 10yd line he'll be tackled at the 18 that's good coverage there and the FL State offense heads back onto the field the last Drive was only demoralizing they stalled and then missed a field goal the sophomore able to bring him down quickly second down after that run on the previous [Applause] play to the air into wangala couldn't find anybody open and just has to throw it away so the offense getting set this is not where you want to be against this defense third and long dropping back you're going to throw for the first down lets it Go quickly oh downfield catch made in the left side and they'll bring him down but this offense creates a huge chunk play that is great arm strength and accuracy by this quarterback let's not forget the wide receiver's job of bringing it in for that big game and the noes with first and 10 here receiver in motion now looking to throw it on first down he's running out of time [Applause] here up incompletion makes it second [Applause] Down The Backs got it they get him down but the gain moves the ball to the plus 40 Chris that's another good run for him he's had such a big part of their success here this afternoon that last last carry it puts him over a 100 yd now for the day the NOS look to keep this drive moving nice grab it's Lee to get a bound quickly not much of a gain on that completion let's check out this running back comparison these guys have been EX pounding away and seemingly only getting [Applause] stronger now entering the final period of play is there an epic comeback in store we're going to find out offense moving receivers around now before the snap makes the grab it's Douglas brought down but it's past the line to game they bring him down but the veteran quarterback shows off that trademark arm strength a new set of downs after that completion oh here comes the reverse B carrier brought down but a flags on the field let's check out this call holding up [Applause] so the holding penalty in the offense backs him up 10 yds seventh play of the drive coming up it's the wide receiver coming in motion now Quick Pass here comes a Jet Sweep there's a loss after the completion that's a good play by the defense this is a great job of being prepared for this defense almost anticipating this play they're in position to bring him down for a loss good job bleeding the clock on this drive so far they'll come up on a second down from the shotgun now here's an inside give and they bring him down that's a very solid gain but still well short of the mark ninth play of the drive coming up this is a tough third and long dropping back into wangala the pass rush closing in tries to avoid the rush and just gets rid of it hey it's an incompletion but it's a nice job by the quarterback I know it didn't pan out but the most important thing is he didn't turn the football over and he didn't take a sack it'll give your kicker a chance to put some points on the board if they opt for the field goal here on fourth down coach is going to take the three points here comes the field goal unit and the importance of this attempt if he makes it it's now a three-core game this one is right through and that will extend their lead even further boy this guy has such a strong leg no problem up into the net from 50 plus so after adding to this big lead they'll set to kick it away return begins inside the 10 not much on the return they'll stop him at the 24 good coverage here comes the Georgia Tech offense back out on the field last possession a perfectly blocked running play is scored in one play and they keep it going well this quarterback and his receivers have got to get on the same page they've got to find a rhythm if they want to move the ball down the field second down play coming up he snap it quarterback looking to throw the ball can't conned over the middle it's incomplete they're backed up here trying to make something happen on Third and long dropping back we're going to throw for the first down he's going to take off here refusing to be stopped on this play oh and he breaks free it's a foot race well here's a quarterback that just takes control for himself picking up some nice yards nothing else is there this guy's a real threat and the Yellow Jack has come to the line to run the hurry up out of the shotgun he hands it off and they finally stop it but it decent game that time second down after that run on the previous play looking to pass it's King down he goes a sack man how impressive have these guys been in this football game I really expected to see a very different outcome with the hype of this quarterback and the way he's played most of this year but this defense has held him under 200 yd passing they've got a nice lead and they are not sitting back and resting on their Laurels they're applying more pressure and they come up with a sack here offense been in Reverse here now a long way to go to convert this third down dropping back he going to throw for the first down and he throws his third interception of the day and he's got some open field ahead so a great return following the pick they're finally able to get him down boy with this quarterback love to have this one back they're trying to work themselves back into this game here in the second half and the defense comes up with a big turnover that could be the nail in the coffin and the seols offense comes back on the field they were fortunate to get points on the last possession because of a long range field goal off an RPO the quarterback looks to his right he's brought down quickly a short gain gets them a few yards closer to the marker but they love going to this guy in the slot don't they what a mismatch inside he reels in another one this guy's automatic a game makes it second and medium [Applause] quick throw caught on the left side good enough for first down yardage boy this receiver in the slot is giving this defense all kinds of problems he has another catch on the day you may want to adjust out get out of your base maybe try five or six defensive backs on the field somebody that can match up more athletically against this slot receiver the seal looking to cash in this Red Zone trip looking for a gap it's Williams Sofer with a strong tackle there coming to the line on second down this is important they want to avoid a third and long tailback with another carry makes a nice move there and they'll bring him down after just a short pick up Bo I thought he might Shake three there he's able to break one tackle but give credit to the secondary good job of coming up in run support offense facing a third down now they can still get a first down without scoring dropping back it's wangal he's got it right near the end zone doesn't quite get there the defense forcing him out at the three there's great timing here with a quarterback against that zone defense waiting just at the right time to deliver it into that window to pick up a nice game they're going to go forward here on Fourth and inches and now the handoff now he did not make the first down yard just a big stop for this defense as they try to cut into this lead first play of the drive they'll come out throwing and it's incomplete the defender to arrive the same time as the football and now it's second down everything about this play tells you about today's offenses and what they're asking out of their running backs you can't just be a guy who runs the football anymore you have to be able to catch it as well and he didn't do a very good job of it on this play throwing again on second and 10 he's got it for a big gain he's tackled quickly but yardage is good enough for the first down it's nice execution to pick up the first down little curl Rod KK against the Zone yeah when you play zone coverage like this it's very difficult to defend this route if the quarterback does a nice job of reading the coverage I thought he used his eyes there to be able to move the defense where he wanted them created an opening in that defense then he made a great throw for that first down off Target with a throw incomplete I I really feel that this quarterback has rattled at this point he's already been sacked a number of times I think it's affecting his timing with his receivers incompletion sets up a second down looking to Chuck it [Applause] again that one Falls incomplete looking for a flag doesn't get it brings up third down not going to be easy here backed up a long way to go for a first down looking downfield it's King he's moving out of the pocket quarterback gets down to avoid the tackle this a nice job here by this defense on third down they take away all the options down field and they recognize the quarterback scramble he almost comes up with his first down but they keep him short to set up this fourth down the offense stays on the field down multiple possessions Easy Choice fourth down he's throwing for it here comes a deep shot wow that is interception number four today for this QB big takeway now looking for a big return and look at the return after the interception sets the offense up in good shape I just don't think there's anything else you can do as a play caller you've got to be able to throw the ball downfield you just got to hope that your quarterback and receivers can execute when the defense knows it's coming here here the interception cost him and here comes the Florida state offense on the field last time out there they got stopped on fourth down but it didn't cost them anything let's see what the mindset is here and that's a solid gain the defense able to bring him down it's a good solid game five or six yards love to see that from the running game so here comes second down now every play important down here in the Red Zone caught in the back field it's Lee stop right there at the line no game this is exactly what you want to see from the defense yeah you give up the catch but you're right there to be able to stop this receiver from making any yards after the catch this is crucial defense needing a stop on third down trying to force a field goal and he'll drop back here on third down grab down the middle it's Morlock nowhere to run a caralin for no game man really good job here by the defense flying around recognizing the ball is out and then making a tackle short of the first down the decision is not to go for it on fourth down here comes the field goal team they'll set up for the Chip Shot on the left half Mark long enough and good and they add to their lead and that one my gosh I mean it's almost too easy nice kick [Music] [Applause] so after adding to this big lead they are set to kick it away felds it just outside the goal line he's tackled at the 21 that's where the drive will start and here comes the Georgia Tech offense back out on the field the last possession ended in an interception let's see if they continue to trust this quarterback in the passing game defense surrounds just a short gain on that completion I really like what this defensive coordinator's doing right now he's got a nice lead just sit back the most important thing is tackling this offense in bounds so that clock will keep ticking pass caught second down now dropping back it's King testing the defense with a throw downfield it's caught they will rule that a catch a huge game through the air hey this offense isn't giving up yeah we're in the fourth quarter you're down B but who knows make a big play try to get in the end zone maybe get an onside kick so the offense with a first and 10 now the football placed exactly at Midfield and he drops back in the gun receiver makes the catch they bring him down but that's a solid gain on the play tack B but the junior quarterback shows off his arm strength that time great execution here by this offense against Zone coverage with a curl route hit that last step in your drop you see where you want to go with it put it right on his shoulder for a first down Yellow Jackets come to the line to set a fresh set of downs looking to throw yet again fires it to the white out and he's got it the make the stop but not before a solid game that time I feel like this quarterback can make this sleep it's like clock route against Zone and the quarterback the only thing is he had to fit it into a tight window for that first down completion first and 10 now for the offense quarterback sets up looking for an open man here's a shot toward the end zone and he's got it touchdown Yellow Jackets Chris how about to call her with the wheel route the running back we know he can wi the football but here he shows his ability to catch the ball out of the back field and that whe rout is tough on a defense sometimes the back can get lost here he catches it finds his way into the end zone for a [Music] touchdown now the try for two on the ground trying to power toward the goal line he'll get into the end zone again they beat him after the touchdown with a two-point try to cut into this [Music] lead kickoff team is on the field to boot this one [Applause] away and he'll bring it out from inside the 10 he's tackled at the 21 that's where the drive will start and the for State offense heads back onto the field the last session they hadn't settled for a chip shot field goal can they find the end zone this time out it's a short completion of the tight end defense reacts quickly a very short game on the Play Just a good job of spreading the weth making sure everybody's getting their touches when you do that the defense can't lock in on one guy or two guys make them have to be aware of everybody allows you to continue to spread the ball around and spread the field making it tougher for this defense oh it's a pass the Deep shot is caught for a big game you know they've got a lead here late in the game and the play calling I think shows you how much confidence they have in this quarterback he's had a pretty clean game today and this decision to still throw the ball with the lead shows you that they believe he's going to make the right decisions and make accurate throws the offense operating a peak efficiency they come to the line again and the running back takes the hand off picks up three yds so second and seven and I like the Run play here and offensively at this point in the game you want to remain in that attack mode first while also staying in bounds and working that clock offense getting set it's second [Applause] down oh a reverse fights through the tackler tackled behind the line it's a loss of two the def defense there showed incredible discipline on the backside contained and that reverse wasn't going anywhere just textb they come to the line a long way to go for the first down but needing this crucial conversion right now and they'll keep it on the ground trying to run some clock and he breaks the tackle on the way to a solid game there out comes the field goal team to give it a shot this is a long way out and a chance here to build the lead make it a three-score game in the final quarter good goal try no good and the lead remains at 14 after the Miss that's a missed opportunity for some points here the way they were moving the football I thought maybe a touchdown at the very least three points but instead he Shanks [Music] it and the Georgia Tech offense is back out there passing game was so effective in the last position right down for a touchdown we'll see if the defense can make adjustments quarterback leaves the pocket on the Move Now using his legs on the scramble quarterback gets down to avoid the big hit [Music] and the yellow jackets will hustle to the line here to run the hurry up here comes a first down pass attempt looks to the left for a quick throw Falls incomplete broken up by the defender nicely that time it is really tough on a quarterback when he thinks he's got a completion and an open man downfield the ball's just about to get to his receiver then out of nowhere the defensive back steps in front of it and knocks away nice job that play makes it second and 10 dropping back it's King close to the tight end the defender gets a hand in there to break the pass up just a great play on the ball by the defensive back getting a hand on it and tipping it up into the air boy anytime you see a tip go up often that defense is thinking interception this one falls to the ground the next tip ball could be going the other way on third down he drops to throw oh just gives up on the play throws it away and now it's fourth down boy this is all about the defense here nice stop here on third down but really it's about trying to get this offense behind the sticks once you get him behind the sticks you can mix up your coverages really affect the quarterback's eyes and disrupt the timing and the rhythm of what the offense is trying to do now we've got another big fourth down coming [Applause] up plenty of time back there in the pocket he's going to throw to the right they've got him but they convert on fourth down as the drive keeps going CH just a great example of the awareness for both sides of the ball the offense knowing where the first down marker is on Fourth and long they're able to get to it but the defense also has to know they got to prevent the receiver from getting to the marker they're unable to do it here here comes a throw from the red zone defense is coming after him got a lane can he get in and he stopped just short now at the two but an excellent run [Applause] the yellow jackets come to the line with first and goal quarterback drops back from the shotgun looking for a receiver hit as he releases it and the pass ball is incomplete I mean this defense is having their way with this offensive line that poor quarterback doesn't have a chance every time he drops back to throw he's getting ear hole you better make some adjustments up front to give your poor quarterback a chance that's a second and goal play for the offense scanning the field it's King catch Made In The End Zone touchdown George attack what a score by this offense and the greatest thing chis is they still left themselves with a little bit of time and now you're thinking onside kick if they can recover it you never know [Music] offense is out there they're going to go for two here they'll try to run this one in solid tackle able to get him down a great job here by the defense on this conversion nice heads up play to prevent the two-point try the kickoff team on the field now as they get set to send this one away they returning from inside the 10 yd line and he stopped at the 19 good job by the coverage team and the seols offense comes back on the field the defense has all three timeouts remaining so maybe they'll have to run a couple play here hand off as he try to work the clock here they bring him down just short of the marker inches away from a first down now a timeout taken by the defense trying to preserve as much clock as possible for their offense second down play coming up for this offense he'll hand it off and the seals pick up enough to get a first down there and now it's the defense that calls timeout here trying to get organized and preserve as much clock as possible it's a first and 10 play coming up for the offense using his legs it's Williams tackled behind the line it's a loss of two now a timeout taken by the defense trying to preserve as much clock as possible for their offense offense getting set second down play here and there's the handoff fights through a tackle that was a nice Juke but not much room to run he's brought down for a short game you know they try to run the football here and they're unable to get that first down the clock does keep moving the big question now is third down what do you do keep it on the ground again but roll the dice throw the football knowing an incompletion the clock will stop it's a draw play he's not going to get the first down it's fourth down now and the NOS will line up to punt it away and the rre man decides to signal fair catch they'll get set needing to score quickly now looking for some big plays right here and looking to throw now on first down pressure is coming that's a nice wrap up there by the Junior
